It’s 2020, the pandemic if rife, school spots are limited. My wife finds this preschool for our cherished daughter in Arnold. As an Annapolis resident I had reservations. Pros: “academically” - we’re talking about babies here - the school is worthy of 5 stars. My daughter has learned a lot - difficult to put into words but I’d say they passively learn through tasks and the curriculum teaches useful skills that seem to keep a firm eye on setting them up for kindergarten. The key point is that they are learning and this isn’t mere daycare. I have zero complaints. Teachers? The teachers are incredibly influential at this age - but having had three years at the school with two daughters I can say with absolute confidence that the faculty are professional and emotionally vested in their children. The school employs a full range of age groups within the faculty- which means your child will have the benefit of youthful and experienced teachers. I found the older teachers seemed to LOVE their work and this showed with the children’s intimate interaction. Cuddles etcetera. Negatives: The only negative I have experienced is that, for one of my daughters, her peer class size could have been bigger. A large part of my negative is subjective and thus it doesn’t negate the “5 star” review… my daughter‘s birthday meant that she was three years old in September, whereas a lot of her classmates were half a year younger. That made a big difference with her interaction. If the class was bigger, she may have had more children in her age group. Six months means nothing to us, but put a 2.5 year-old next to a three-year-old and you’ll see there’s a big difference. Generally, the class sizes are however exactly what they should be… In sum I was surprised by how good the school is… if you’re reading this, I assume you’re like me…namely, you’re concerned and want your precious children get the best you can provide. I am mindful that I am writing like a cheerleader here but truly this preschool is/was an excellent choice for us; albeit, initially, a reticent one for me! Best of luck.

Absolutely perfect. What a truly wonderful gem this is. Thank you so much for making an afternoon celebrating the life of my husband so completely pefrect. The buffet provided was gorgeous. All fresh and wonderful, including fish and chips, fine cheeses, sandwiches, pasta and home made scotch eggs (a favourite of my husband's) still hot and everyone said the best they'd ever tasted. Honestly couldn't have asked for more. Nothing was too much trouble. My heartfelt thanks to Rob and Toby fur everything. P.s. My overnight stay in the red room... so tastefully furnished and gorgeous.

Walkabout always has a decent atmosphere of a weekend evening and yesterday was no exception with Karaoke - it was brilliant. Myself and a friend stepped outside to smoke and I was refused entry on the way back in for “having had too much”… I was yet to purchase a drink at Walkabout, and had 2 pints in another establishment, so suffice to say I was not drunk. I do, however, have an existing injury to my leg from some time ago which occasionally causes slight instability when walking and/or limping. This is the only explanation I can give for having been refused entry on this occasion, as my legs had flared up.. My friend politely asked for some further explanation from the doorman who made the call, which he refused to give. So either he didn’t like the look of us, or refused re-entry because it was 2 guys. Strange. As mentioned, I’d not purchased a drink in Walkabout so was no different compared to when I was first granted initial entry. It’s a shame because it’s a nice venue - but, perhaps they ought to consider the training of their security partners - as the 20-something year old security guard clearly requires some additional training.
