- Owner has a bad attitude, looks a mess and just sits on his PJ’s all day drinking beer. - Sauces are not what they say they are (eg. Coleman’s mustard pots refilled with cheap stuff. - Belgian beer in a fridge which isn’t even on. - Beer choice has gone down hill - Cliquey atmosphere

We loved our stay great hospitality fabulous authentic Pub stay experience. Excellent dinner and breakfast and great coffee. New busy rolls great showroom and wifi. We will be back, thank you for having us. Vanessa & Matt from Australia

Came here for dinner, ordered a chilli con carne, it came with no rice just a handful of nachos, when I asked where my rice was I was told it was rice or nachos, which I wasn’t given the option to choose, the waitress/cook said oh sorry and walked off. I’ve never known a chilli to come without rice, especially at that price

Wonderful overnight stay here on 27th July for a wedding party in the area. Staff were wonderful on arriving, room was stunningly appointed, and the brekky on Sunday was delicious! We opted for the superior room, the bed was huge and so comfortable, the bathroom was stunning, and lots of nice touches in the room, e.g. the bedside lamp base had usb charging points. Loads of parking space available close to the rooms. Definitely stay there again when we're next up that way - 10/10, 100% recommended.

Popped in for a light lunch, not a great welcome. Ordered a Cumberland Sausage sandwich, what I got was a sub-standard chiplolata sandwich of mediocre taste only saved by the onion chutney and the bits. I did voice my dissatisfaction but only got a shrug of the shoulders and was told that my comments would be fed back; no response was given.

Excellent olde traditional pub. Great choice of beers, all good. Food looked great. Will definitely return.

Lovely atmosphere and staff. They really go above and beyond for you. Our room had no window aside to in the bathroom. It was a warm night we half opened the bar door which didn't feel safe but we had no option. Aesthetics were stunning but incredibly inconvenient on a hot summers night! Breakfast was sublime and they accommodated a vegetarian breakfast too which was delicious my boyfriend loved the sausages which did look good to be fair! Thank you 🙏🏻

Lovely old pub - unusual layout inside. Built in 1800's, and served some of the airmen from the secret airfield nearby. Food excellent! Good menu plenty of choice. Defo will re visit. The cod here is rumoured to be as big as a whale so you better have a good appetite! 😀 Update: yes tried the cod - it's massive!!!

Authentic pub. Very good atmosphere, service and very pleasant treatment. I recommend it.

Had a fantastic lunch out with my two son's on my birthday...food & service...& Not forgetting staff were bloody amazing.will be returning very soon.thankyou.👍

Charming, cute countryside pub, Filled with locals, feels like a members club. Variety of exotic and different beers, the perfect place with your mates to say cheers. Food was surprisingly good and hearty, better to get your own plate though, not for sharing with a big party. We highly recommend the fishe pie, savour every bite before time flashes by.
