Clearly, a homemade pie and the ham was freshly cut. Paige was super busy but the perfect hostess for the place. What a cracking pub! Will definitely be back at some point.

Beautiful pub with amazing, fresh, home cooked food and a nice beer garden for young ones to enjoy while sitting outside. All the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, going as far to cook meals not even on their current menu. Even offered my little girl a free ice cream. Highly reccomend eating here, all round great pub

Everything a good village pub should be. Good drink, great food and service with a smile. Only open Wednesday thro Sunday currently I think, but always worth a stop for lunch or dinner if in the Althorne or Burnham on Crouch area. 👍🍺🍷🥩🍰

Update: Just visited again and tried the cheeseburger. Very tasty, huge burger! Excellent fast friendly service. One of the largest chicken curries I've had, and although it beat me, it was delicious! I will return to sample the rest of the menu! Lots of choice and very good value spotlessly clean, good parking. 5 stars !

Wife had 4 sausages,chips,peasand onion gravy. I had a plain cheese burger and chips. The burger was approx 3/4 of an inch thick and this was the best meal we had so far this week. The bar was very clean and the service was very good. The owner was very polite and curtious. Would go there again. Recommend a visit anytime.

Great wee family pub. Nice to see pubs not in one of these chains. Lovely food and drinks. Staff was very friendly. Large park on site is great. Would be nice to have actual menus to read rather than having to get up and look at a wall menu.

We visited here as part of a lunchtime group of Ramblers. As it was lunchtime we had a simple lunch. I was, however, struck by the extremely varied menu and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The food and ale was very agreeable and the whole experience was quite a surprise, having driven past it many, many times but never gone in. If you're passing, why not pop in - I'm sure that you'll be pleased! Simon

Not enough Stars We visited here purely by chance as it appears Burnham on Crouch decided there was not enough trade to warrant opening after 3pm on Mother's Day. OK. As appearances go the place is quite plain and simple with bare sanded tables and the main form of decoration are the menus, oh and a huge log burner ! Down to business now ! In my own humble opinion and I have travelled to many exotic destinations have I ever tasted food cooked to perfection. Our Liver and Bacon , Pie and Mash and deserts were exactly as they should be ! Pure homecooked delight. No fancy alternatives to please the modern trendies. You should be so proud that you and your staff have probably the only honest to God restaurant for miles and miles. Can't wait to visit again.

I didn’t stay long enough to provide a proper evaluation so maybe next time I can improve on the 3 stars I have given. First impressions however; set in a beautiful part of the world and the exterior is lovely. Inside was not so impressive, very bare and bland and there’s not really anywhere to have a drink without a meal which seemed a little strange to me.

What a great country pub with a lovely atmosphere. I’ve visited a few times over the years and each time the food has been of a very high standard, generous sized portions at a very reasonable price.

Perfect pub, amazing food very well done nachos share amazing quality and very very good. Toilets are pristine everything is clean amd the menu is very varried. A roaring fire in the winter very nice garden for youngesters. Will come here again.

Great! Order a burger and you'll get it (in the bap) on top of the chips... so they can fit more chips on the plate. 😅 Slightly pricey, but everywhere is atm.

With my husband craving fish & chips yet us not being able to eat out, we looked for a good Fish & Chip shop near to where we were staying, just outside Latchingdon. Not being enamoured with those offered I phoned The Three Horseshoes. Paula was lovely and said that it would be no problem to do that for us to collect (£14.95 each). She even offered peas or a side salad. Very impressive, friendly and a success all round. We'll be telling our friends and they'll be telling their family & friends. The pub itself looked lovely. Lots of different seating areas, nice and spacious, along with a big car park. I wish we could have eaten there.

Wow not visited pub for many years. Was not that impressed. However went for a birthday get together the other week. The staff and service was exceptional. Food was 10/10. Will definitely b coming back. Thank you for a fab afternoon.

Was there for a funeral , they laid on a great spread. With friendly staff and very helpful. Great service . Would fully recomend.

Make sure when you book there isn't the DJ in the garden. Food great staff are excellent. But the music blaring from the garden made us retreat with an early exit.

Ordered food for company Christmas lunch. The pub prepared great selection of hot and cold buffet (little sausages, wedges, chicken bits, Indian style snacks, salads, sandwiches, selection of veggies and dips, plate of cheese, etc.), provided us with plates, napkins and take-away food boxes. Definitely have to come back there for lunch/dinner

Always difficult to find somewhere nice to eat when visiting new places. This place is certainly worth trying. Food was delicious and plentiful. Will be going back for Sunday roast if they have space

First time since lockdown, but not disappointed, food good as ever. I had the steak and mushroom pie, which was a big enough portion for desperate Dan! Getting more vegan options, which are sure to increase. We travel 45 minutes to go there which must say something.

Been in Burnham for the day but fancied a late lunch 3.30 and found out some places close for late afternoon, not The Three Horeshoes. The staff were very friendly and there was a menu with good choices. We had a good selection all were served very plentiful. The decor was fresh and the garden area good for kids and adults. Thanks an enjoyable couple of hours.

We went for a evening meal , I have to say the food was plentiful and delicious with a good menu to pick from . The staff particularly the owners were warm and friendly and always on hand for anything you needed. Easily a 10/10 without a shadow of doubt , highly recommended, we will certainly go back again.

Visited the Three Horse shoes on 20th May 2021. I am a coeliac and the staff were very helpful unlike other restaurants I have visited. Will definitely go again.

Found the pub welcoming with polite and helpful staff. The menu was varied and fairly priced, generous portion size. Clean and tidy with Covid regulations clearly outlined - definately worth a return visit 😊

Went there for Sunday roast to find a pub that was very aware of customer safety and social distancing. We felt totally relaxed and safe and had a lovely meal and brilliant service.Will definitely be returning. Highly recommended.

Stopped for Sunday lunch as we were just passing. The roast dinner was lovely. Staff really helpful. Would recommend this place. Prices extremely reasonable. Only one criticism, the vegetarian is not catered for, unless you like potato curry.

I went there recently in the evening with my boyfriend Wayne and it was a lovely friendly atmosphere in there . I had a veggie curry which was delicious and Wayne had a cottage pie . They were big dinners and well worth the money . We will be going back again and will recommend to others

GREAT staff that go out of there way to do all they can for you and make you feel very welcome. This will now be our place to stop for lunch when we go out on our bikes for a ride.

We were a party of 6 and as such booked a week in advance to be sure. 3 real ales on tap, comprehensive menu with reasonable pricing - £6 for a budget range of main courses with £2 for a dessert!. Food quality good, service was courteous and friendly. Just surprised it was not busier. Well worth a visit
