The best restaurants in Watton-at-Stone East Hertfordshire East of England

Had a lovely meal for partners birthday. Have eaten here a few times but never on a Tuesday. We wasn’t aware before about the Tuesday buffet, but what excellent value for money, service and food excellent as always! Will defo take advantage of this offer again!

Visited numerous times over a 4-5 week period whilst working at the nearby train station. The staff are all incredibly friendly, helpful and accommodating. Every single item of food we produced was always fresh and tasty, from the sandwiches to the baked goods. And the coffee was not only reasonably priced, but delicious. Will visit again if in the area. Great spot for all!

The food was as good as anywhere these days but they added a service charge to the bill which we weren’t aware of until we’d paid. We sat outside on a lovely day. We eat out a lot and haven’t been charged this before so, probably won’t return.

Freezing cold. No fires lit. All cask ale was off, and this was a weekend! I notice it is up to let so maybe they are running it down. We won’t be back.
