The best restaurants in West Bergholt and Eight Ash Green Colchester East of England

This place has it all, best breakfast cooked how I like it , whilst the bike is treated to a service. Draws in a huge crowd especially during the warmer months

Brilliant local pub just outside Colchester. Looking over the village pond there is plenty of parking to the side of the pub. Downstairs is a bar, then through to the back room for seated lunch and dinner options. The menu is extensive, comprised of traditional pub fare. Portions and quality are excellent, really good choice and certainly filling! Well worth the visit for a decent meal in nice surroundings. Would be good after some excellent countryside walks in the nearby area.

First visit and wasn't disappointed. Food was really good quality and fresh. Service was on point and a lovely pub.

Went to the Barn today for lunch on my daughter's birthday. There was a mix up with a wrong meal being delivered but was rectified, food was very nice. I was rather disappointed that when we found a cute stuffed toy dog that resembled our recently deceased dog Henry that was priced at £21 on the label the lady on the till said the price tag was wrong and the price was actually £25. I always believed that if an item was labelled with a certain price you should honour it, particularly as we had just spent over £100 on food.

We regularly dine here and cannot fault it one bit. Food excellent, Dan and his team make us very welcome, nothing is too much. Superb service .

Great breakfast, lovely atmosphere. Had a full English breakfast, sausages were particularly tasty.Always a pleasure to visit.

The whole vibe is off and staff are rude. It made you feel like a right outsider when you just wanted to come for a friendly drink. Service is poor and one male, presumably the owner kept swearing in front of my kids. Steer clear if you want a nice atmosphere.

I'm guessing it's under new ownership since some of these reviews were given, in my opinion this is probably the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten in. Definitely the best since moving to Colchester 12 years ago. I always collect, so I can't comment on the delivery side of things

we wanted to go here as it had high ratings for valentines dinner phone was dead not able to book on line turned up and the place was closed would hae been good to have a message on the phone or on line informing of the closure
