Queens Head Indian Restaurant And Takaway in Colchester

The whole vibe is off and staff are rude. It made you feel like a right outsider when you just wanted to come for a friendly drink. Service is poor and one male, presumably the owner kept swearing in front of my kids. Steer clear if you want a nice atmosphere.

Tried a takeaway from here after moving to the village and have to say was one of, if not the best indian we have had in colchester. The food arrived in a good time, was hot and very flavoursome and not greasy at all. Will definately be ordering again.

Food arrived a little later than 45mins (takeaway service). Food quality very good- much nicer than all the other Indian takeaways I have tried in Colchester! A little more expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Accidentally ordered a curry from Queens Head during lockdown as a local curry house has the same name. Staff were fantastic and very understanding and gave us a full refund, would love to have a curry next time we are actually close by. Thank you very much,. Take care

I find a lot of Indian takeaways and restaurants very bland and the curries all seem to taste the same. We had the chicken korma and the tikka masala and although fairly simple dishes they were beautifully prepared and very aromatic with great flavours. Wouldn’t order Indian from anywhere else, Delicious!

This is our favourite for Indian take-aways. The curries are always flavoursome and fresh, never had a bad order from here. My Daughter loves the Korma and Chicken Tikka masala Balti is delicious and great value as it comes with a nan. Would highly recommend. Definitely take away only though, as the restaurant doesn't have much atmosphere.

I use this take away regularly. The food is excellent, with good portions. It's above the pub, so you can enjoy a pint if you're waiting. It has a small restaurant area, which they have been improving over the past couple of years, but if you're looking for a romantic meal out, it's probably not the place for you. However, if it's a take away you want (they deliver too), then I would definitely recommend. You can order online.

We often get take away food from here and enjoy it immensely. The portions are good with excellent quantity of meat for each dish, something some takeaways skimp on to save money. It's always piping hot and packaged securely. Can't fault the food, but as one commentator on here stated add 10 mins to your collection time as they are never ready when your there to collect.

Its rare that a take-away delivers to my area, so its wonderful that such a decent place exists. The food is always fresh and tasty, and fairly priced, delivered by a very sweet gentleman. I recommend the Vegetable Balti Massala with coconut rice. Oh yeah, and the onion bhajis are to die for!!

Ordered from here on a whim as our usual curry house had a ninety minute wait on deliveries. Phone answered quickly, really helpful staff and a good delivery time - off to a good start. Food arrived just inside the stated delivery time and was piping hot - going well. Served up and had a good munch. Food was well spiced, decent portions and nicely presented. Definitely recommended.

This Indian take away food is amazing!! Always great service either on the phone or online. Food is tasty and hot and services is always with a smile and the drivers are always polite. Have eaten here loads of time!!

This use to be our favourite go to Indian takeaway until I received one ingredient too many one time. My wife spotted the cockroach in a well cooked state on my plate (it clearly enjoyed the food as much as I), on ringing the restaurant a member of staff was immediately dispatched with a new curry. On arriving I proceeded to show the man the culprit sharing my food to which he began to ask if it was possible the cockroach had come from my house. One look at my face and he quickly and smartly bagged the remainders of the infested curry and swiftly left. So if you like a little extra protein in your curry, look no further!
