Friendly staff,lovely seafood restaurant we ordered crab,mussels, prawns and oyster,fresh salads.definately worth a visit if your on the island

Didn't have any food but the drinks and atmosphere is 10/10

Went today with the other half and her Mother. Got to say the service was absolutely first class and the food we had was so freshly cooked and beautifully presented in fact the Spiced Parsnip soup i had was the best i’ve ever tasted. The Wine was lovely and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Highly recommend and when back to see the Mother in Law 🤦😂 will definitely be back.

Dropped in without reservation on Mothers' Day and it was immediately clear they were very busy! No tables inside but a lovely lady said we'd be fine to sit outside if we wished. The view down the valley towards Mersea is a stunning vista of beautiful Essex countryside and on a nice sunny day, the setting was perfect. Now all we needed was some nice food - our server did say it may take a while given how busy they were. Thankfully, the food was great - a good menu with plenty of options, good portions. well priced, and our service was much quicker than we could have expected or hoped for. Everyone we spoke to were extremely polite and welcoming. I really, really enjoyed our visit.

Staying at the local caravan site. This is our local pub. The people are friendly. The food Is fab. The dog is more than welcome.

On a week long mini holiday from London to commemorate my late grandmother's birthday with my parents. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious, it reminds me of when I was a child, with homemade food. I am 42 now but the atmosphere and the care taken in the food and the awareness of allergens really made for a comfortable and delicious meal. Would recommend.

Only popped in for a pint during a bike ride, but was impressed by courteous and friendly service.

The Shakshuka with chorizo was one of the best breakfasts I have had! Served with toast and I had tea. Service was great, helpful and premted what we needed. Will be visiting again on route to Cudmore when talingbthe dogs for a walk along the beach!

Terrible service. Food average. X factor auditions taking place in the kitchen. Pretty poor all round. You can really see the staff don't care.
