We booked a table for 26, the the quality of food was exceptionally delicious. Waiters were ‘at your service’ with big smiles and really made the evening a memorable one! Management were courteous, the whole experience was ‘outstanding’ highly recommended! A huge Thankyou to the staff and management.

Sopa encantadora, nutritiva y sabrosa - con café suave. ¿Qué no te gusta de este acogedor café de barrio que permanece abierto desde el desayuno hasta las 5 pm. Todos los ingredientes se cocinan en casa, incluidos los pasteles, me gusta especialmente su galleta de frutas con infusión de chocolate. Sin pretensiones, solo buena comida casera.

Everyone is talking about caribbean cookout. I visited caribbean cookout with my friends, the food was fantastic, jerk chicken, curry goat, Mac an cheese, we’ll definitely come back

Lovely place with a cute garden in the back, perfect for a summer lunch. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming. The milkshake and baguette were very nice and very good quality for the cheap price. Will definitely be visiting again for lunch!

Best coffee shop! My favourite is the Italian job focaccia - AMAZING! Can never resist the banana bread too and of course a coffee. Always the best atmosphere, staff are so friendly and the shop it’s self is just lovely to spend time in. Would highly recommend!

We tried The Crepe Shack at The Scottish Deer Centre. Crepe's are made to order, fresh, staff are friendly, it cost £5.25 for a Nutella and Banana Crepe. It was really good. We shared this as a family, passing it around for bite until it was gone and it served as a lovely sweet snack which broke up our time exploring the Centre. We would purchase from them again.

We were looking fur somewhere for a coffee whist charging our EV. We are on holiday from South Shields. This was a great find with a fabulous friendly couple who made us so welcome. The plum cake was homemade as was the brownie! Both absolutely gorgeous. Coffees were nice too. Brilliant table service and visited the immaculate toilet. All Covid friendly. I tried the pineapple pizza and it was AMAZING! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the place was really clean. I enjoyed my time eating here and I would definitely recommend to everyone to give the Fip a try! 10/10

My partner and I have visted gatehouse many times since opening, it is fair to say it is one of our favourite places to eat now. We where slightly sceptical when it fisrt opened due to the previous restaurant that occupied the building, the new owners havent done to much to the decor so still feels rather empty but still cosy and inviting. On out last visit my wife had the fish and chips as always and i tried the house steak for the first time, i have to say it was perfectly cooked and was very tender and flavoursom, the chips where to die for too (but i already knew that as we both normally have the fish and chips). The food and drinks are reasonably priced especially for the area and compared to what other restaurants locally charge. My only slightly negative is there is no draught beer but still a good choice of bottles. Overall a very good place to dine out for any occasion.

Fantastic coffee on offer and scrumptious toastie went down a treat. Well worth a visit for breakfast and lunch if you're in the area.

La cafetería South Side era muy amable y tranquila. Cuando llegué, una quiche recién hecha en casa acababa de salir del horno y era la quiche más deliciosa que he probado. El café es increíble y fue muy agradable poder sentarme un rato y trabajar sin sentir que me estaba quedando más tiempo que la bienvenida. Lo recomendaría absolutamente para relajarse un poco y disfrutar de una deliciosa comida en la ciudad.

I collected our pre ordered treat box today and oh my days, it was delicious and plenty full. We chose to add an extra pie and had plenty of food for our tea today and tea tomorrow.
