Went here with my girlfriend and we decided to have some Indian street food and bubble tea after a University open day Fantastic service, a lovely young woman served us and the food was served in 20 mins. We had Keema Chicken wrap, a Saag Paneer pitta and masala fries. Very nice taste, spiced greatly and the bubble tea was very nice. Authentically made! Wish they had a bathroom though. Will be returning very soon! Thanks guys :)))

Needed something to take on the train, and wanted a change from sandwiches and wraps. I told the owner I was vegetarian and wanted something that would be good cold, and after some discussion picked a samosa chaat. An hour later when I came to eat it it was still pretty warm and was delicious, and quite spicy. An excellent choice! And terrific value at just under a fiver.

Amazing food!!! The owner was so lovely and helpful when ordering, there was so much choice and lots of vegan options which was great. It was all cooked from scratch and you can really tell. It tasted absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait until indoor dining opens up and we can go for a meal here!! Would highly recommend.

I took a day off work (currently working home) especially to treat myself to a Mixed Veg & Paneer Prontini and Golden Fog. The Food arrived after about 10-15 minutes which I felt was very quick as they were busy. They do always say to allow for 30 minutes as they cook the food to order. I have never had to wait too long and it was always worth the wait even when it is busy. The food here is so delicious, When I worked in town I would regularly come in and I have missed it soooooooo much working from home. The Prontini had generous sized chunks of paneer in a thick spicy vegetable sauce. It’s my favourite and so I now order that pretty much every time I come. I have ordered other things on the menu too and everything I and my friends have ordered here has been lovely. I am Vegetarian and there is a lot of choice for Vegetarians and even Vegans here. I am very impressed with the new eat in pods that have been set up, There are clear screens in wooden frames which are painted to match the chairs. There was cleaning going on between customers while I was here and there is a track and trace book so Zuri Coffee‘s staff are clearly taking your safety seriously. I feel safe to come again .... Very soon! 🙂

We shared the aloo paratha and paneer & mixed veg biriyani. The aloo paratha came with a tangy chilli pickle that worked wonders with the paratha. With it starring as main act, the yoghurt came in second with a nice cooling twist. The paratha itself was nice and soft and crisp in places, hints of ginger within it gave it a balance in flavours. The paneer and mixed veg biriyani was good however was missing the same sort of punch the aloo paratha gave and there were only five small chunks of paneer. However this wouldn’t stop us from trying another biriyani from Zuri. From the two dishes we tried there’s definitely potential and look forward to trying an assortment of dishes they offer. For drinks we had a mango lassi and a masala chai. The mango lassi was cool and refreshing and not too thick as I had feared it may be. The masala chai was okay however it tasted as though it was from a tea bag and not from scratch. Not a lot of places in the Wolverhampton city centre measure up to Zuri coffee in terms of independent eateries/ coffee shops.

I'm really disappointed with the owner. This is so reflection on the food, I have always had nice food in there. This is a criticism of how regular customers are treated. During our visit the Vice Chancellor of the university came in, we had to go up to the till to order, whereas he was found a seat by the owner and had table service. He ordered after us but still received his order around 15 minutes before us whilst the other members of the team were running around trying to please him. I wonder if he paid? I doubt it very much. So paying customers don't get even close to the same level of service as the V.C. Very disappointing and I won't be returning, you've lost three loyal customers that have given a lot to your business over the years. Sorry we couldn't give you an honorary degree!

I visit Wolverhampton about once a month when working at the university. I particularly like this cafe where I usually order a dosa (Indian pancake). Last time I had spinach and lamb with a salted lassi. I'm not sure I could find anywhere similar in London. The menu is very varied and good value, but best of all when travelling I get tired of sandwiches and snacks, here I get a a feeling of having had a home cooked lunch. Often I hang on just to have coffee and use the wifi, it is a peaceful place to work and very well run.

Zuri is a rare find - handy for the train station, serves good coffee and cake, Indian street food with clearly labelled vegan options and is open for breakfast. A perfect combination! Everything I have eaten here has been fabulous and they sell some quirky options I haven't seen before. It was so great to get chana and flat breads for breakfast before a meeting. Always specify if you want the food to be vegan even where it is labelled; we had a little communication error about this but it was sorted out swiftly. Highly recommended

Introduced to Zuri by a friend who is a big vegan/Indian street food foodie so had high expectations. We have visited Zuri three times now (twice in one day on one occasion!!) so have had breakfast, lunch and tea here. The restaurant is small & quirky. Be aware that there are additional menu choices in various locations so it’s easy to miss out on options. We were however, shown the new menu which is going to be introduced at the end of the month & that does seem a big improvement. There is a notice at the counter explaining a minimum wait of 15 minutes for food but we haven’t had to wait that long for food. Meals do not necessarily come out altogether but I’m fine with this and it’s a sign food is freshly cooked to order. The dosa’s are probably my favourite and are of good size with plenty of filling options but there are also loads of other stuff to try so it’s often difficult to choose! A great little restaurant, great food and very reasonably priced. It’s a pity I don’t live/work in Wolverhampton or id be there every week, but will almost certainly visit when I’m in the city.

Interestingly, the Chicken Manchurian and the Chicken Salad (two separate orders) were both made with the same curried chicken. And it didn't even taste that good. Disgusting food ordered 3 masala dosas today to takeaway and was kept waiting for a very long time before it was finally ready. I was not given the correct chutneys which you would normally get with a traditional dosa instead I was given a very bitter and sour runny liquid. The potato filling inside the dosa was very cold and dry like it had been left out for a week and the dosa was rock hard and the sambar sauce which is meant to be hot was cold and tasteless. We was all so disappointed with this whole experience. I was charged 15 pounds and had to throw everything away and go to another takeaway in Wolverhampton.

I came into zuri today mainly becouse it was absolutely bucketing it down with rain,I had just been charged twice for a train ticket by some jobs worth train inspector!and my umbrella was doing it's level best to stop going inside out, so I thought I'd stop in and use the wi-fi and have a coffee, so already cheesed off I aproached the counter to be met with a woman who was unwelcoming towards me, when she asked me how I was I predictably said 'wet', she dident respond at all, I then sat down where there was no sugar, as she was on her way to the toilet I asked if there was any demara sugar she said it's at the front, I said she could get it for me if she wanted just a desperate attempt on my part to get service, that dident work so I got it myself, rain or no rain, tonado or twister, I don't think I'll bother again.

After much undecidedness, I ordered the breakfast burjhi wrap and a portion of Marsala beans along with a vanilla iced coffee. My hubby had a chickpea, spinach and mushroom wrap and a latte. This all came to just over £16 which was very reasonable given the portion sizes. My wrap was delicious. Just spicy enough for me and full of flavour. I often find some spicy food only tastes of spice but there was a fabulous depth in the flavours. It’s not your standard “Indian”. It is a beautifully authentic insight into Indian food. Having traveled to India a number of years ago, I can honestly say it’s the closest thing to Indian food in India! Job well done!

We went to a wedding in Wolverhampton. Because we had time to kill before our train, me and my wife wanted a bite to eat. I was going to look for traditional weatherspoons pub or McDonald’s. And a side of channa. A portion of samosas and two diet cokes. All for under a tenner. Only thing felt was a let down, the parathas felt like frozen Shana freezer parathas. But because of the filling and other personal touches to it. That’s why the fell short on the star review. I’ll let that side. Otherwise It was very authentic tasting god quality Indian food. I popped into this little gem of a coffee shop on my way to a meeting (for which I was a little early). I was tempted by the veggie street food board outside and thought I’d give it a try. I ordered a cappuccino and two vegetable samosas. The samosas were delicious, warm and crispy - perfect for a very chilly January morning. They were served with two sauces and the cappuccino was just what I needed. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. I had a lovely view of the architecture that Wolverhampton has to offer and I am really glad that i made Zuri my first stop. Thank you to all the staff. I would definitely recommend this great quirky little coffee shop.

We enjoyed lunch here with coffee. There are loads of choices, including lots of vegetarian and vegan choices. Food was tasty. The food is great for lunch, tasty and reasonable sizes. The owners are really friendly.

I absolutely love this place, the vegan chickpea and spinach dosa was lovely! Lots of smoothies, teas and various soft drinks. It's very quaint with a variety of bigger and smaller tables. Staff are very friendly and provide quick service and explain what's on the menu and how it works. Will definitely be returning

Zuri is in central Wolverhampton, good for the University, and is open only during the day. It has a wide range of very inexpensive food and drink which is different from the normal Indian restaurant offering. Small, and a bit cramped, I found it friendly with good food.

This little cafe is wonderful, just over the road from The Grand theatre, where we were watching an evening performance and needed a quick bite to eat. Great service, very friendly staff and really delicious food. Loads of veggie and vegan options which is rare. Would certainly return if we were in the area again .

we used to visit here before heard it was under new management and decided we would try a takeaway and I can honestly say it was awful and extremely expensive we had poppadom one main one side a rice and two naan a t a cost of £30 - I did wonder when my husband told me the price if the bill was calculated correctly and to top it all off the food was very disappointing oily and bland . i would certainly not recommend this establishment at all fir quality or value

I have been visiting this restaurant for 30 years and Joseph and his team have always been brilliant. I always had “balti chicken tikka rognee saucy” which isn’t on the menu. Always perfect. Sadly Joseph has retired and sold up so I won’t be able to go back to my fave restaurant. It’s now closed. I want to wish Joe and his team all the best. Martin F

Went first time for a family weekend dining based on reviews provided but it was utter disappointment. No proper cutlery served we had to ask twice, drinking glasses felt not properly dishwashed - stain and marks on the glass , soft drinks ordered without ice was completely warm no even refrigerated. Meat platter Starters ordered were just lightly lukewarm not even piping hot and was very dry served without chutney which is not a common gesture. I was hugely disappointed for my spending on not to the mark expectations...
