Not sure about normal days but iftar definitely NOT WORTH IT. Long queues (believe it or not 30 minutes to get to the front) at buffet (as it was not organised) and mostly empty - not sure if this is the strategy but if it is then not worth it. Seekh kebab - looking at the photos - you can tell that they have seen better days. The price of £30 is much higher than competitors (well known buffets) by almost a third yet the service so poor. The location is so tiny for 4 or 5 dishes. To be fair to them, they do advertise the dishes in advance. I went there hoping that it is bit expensive so would be more organised. As you can see from wet plates, it was actually an hour after breaking of fast so I would have expected them to replenish constantly which was creating unnecessary delay where people waiting for dishes.

We went to Zouk Restaurant for iftar and it was a great experience! The buffet had a wide variety of options, and every dish we tried was delicious, well-cooked, and full of flavor. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the evening even better. Definitely recommend it for iftar!

Customer service is awful. Ordered drinks never arrived. Charged for service charge which was written optional but never asked. Food was okay but never going back .

Absolutely disgusting food. Total rip off for £30 a head on buffet. Buffet at the cheapest £14.99 a head more choice of food and better quality. And have the cheek to try and slap a service charge on. Salad and food trays empty. The quality and taste of the food was vile..... Save your money people and don't fall for these food reviewers and tiktok adverts.... Not a single person in this place was happy with the service and food on the buffet. The pictures speak for themselves. We ended up leaving and getting a burger meal.

Overpriced iftar buffet. It took me only one round to put all of the stuff in my plate they have offered and i do not eat a lot, Taste was fine but items in comparison to their price were so less. I do not expected chana chollay in mains when I am giving £30 for a buffet. Quiet disappointed.

Ramadan Buffet Dinner at Zouks Walking into Zouks for their Ramadan buffet dinner was a pleasant experience—the ambiance was warm and inviting, and I appreciated being able to choose my own seating. However, while the setting set high expectations, the food itself did not quite deliver. The selection was quite limited, which was disappointing for a buffet. That said, the fresh salads were a highlight, with the kuchumber, corn salad, and bean salad standing out as vibrant and refreshing options. Starters were hit-and-miss. The samosas were delightfully crispy, but the Chicken 65 was a major letdown, leaving a harshly sour aftertaste. Given that curries were meant to be the highlight, they fell short—lacking the bold, authentic Asian flavors one would expect, seemingly toned down for a more Western palate. The chicken biryani was similarly underwhelming, with barely any chicken and a lack of depth in its seasoning. However, the chicken seekh kebabs were juicy and flavorful, standing out among the mains. The biggest disappointment was the corn soup, described as creamy but arriving watery and oddly flavored. On the flip side, the absolute star of the night was the lamb leg raan—perfectly cooked, served with herb-spiced roast potatoes, chantenay carrots, broccoli, and a spicy gravy that brought everything together beautifully. Desserts failed to impress. The mini dessert pots, including mango mousse, tiramisu, and panna cotta, all tasted the same—just plain cream with different toppings. They felt more like an uninspired, mass-produced selection you’d find at an all-inclusive resort rather than a thoughtfully curated dessert spread. The only saving grace was the vanilla milk cake and the bread and butter pudding, which at least tasted homemade and had some character. At £30 per person, the buffet felt overpriced given the lack of variety and inconsistent flavors. While a few dishes stood out, the overall experience wasn’t special enough to warrant a return visit. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be back for this buffet.

Iftar at £30 was not worth it at all. Nice salad but that’s it. It was more like a £12 buffet. They made no effort for people fasting. You couldn’t tell it was Ramadan at all.

The food was okay, but don’t expect it to be the same as you see in the Instagram reels by food bloggers. It’s a really small spread in a congested area, and we were really disappointed. Not at all worth the £30.

I came here today for the iftar buffet and was a litter nervous seeing some of the reviews but honestly it was amazing, the food was awesome and I really love the chicken seekh kebabs and chilli chicken, and omg the desserts were awesome, the date pudding was one to try and the pistachio moose was my favourite. Thak you to the team working there, everyone was soo friendly and nice. Thanks for arranging these wonderful buffets, I'll be back for sure

Zouk Tea Bar & Grill is a great restaurant with impressive infrastructure. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were so generous that we couldn’t finish everything. The service was also excellent. Overall, a good experience!

Visited this restaurant which looks absolutely stunning! Food tasted good however we really wanted the chicken roast which is what they are popular for but annoyingly you have to preorder 2 hours earlier which is really inconvenient for people who decide to pick a restaurant an hour before visiting or in our case have travelled from far and don’t get a chance to look at the menu until you arrive. Bbq Ribs tasted delicious but were unfortunately quite tough. Service was great and atmosphere was date nighty vibes but also perfect for families.

Absolutely rude service from the manager, you pay £30 for iftar and they refuse to give you a takeaway box. If you don't finish your food they would rather put it in the bin than let you take it home. Wasteful and shameful in the month of ramadan. When I challenged this the manager said to only eat small amounts then. It's a buffet. And then on top of that they add a service charge. The audacity. Absolutely disgraceful. There are cheaper and better serviced iftar meals. Do not waste your money

Was so excited to visit this restaurant with me and my friends for ifthaar (Ramadan) We chose the buffet option. Waited 15 mins for the food which was okay as we understood as it was busy. The menu had a wide selection which we were really looking forward to. However some of the food included on the menu were missing. Where were the seekh kebabs? And the desserts were shocking. Half the desserts listed on the menu weren’t even there! For £30 per head you’d expect a much better variety of food options. Me and my sister were also violently ill after eating the roast lamb. I spent all day puking up. To top it all off there was a 10% service charge added to our bill. We had no service throughout and had to call the staff to take away our used plates and to replace our cutlery. Overall the experience was shocking I would not recommend this place they literally just rob your money for such shocking food and service! I won’t be visiting again.

It’s was lovely to dine at this beautiful restaurant. Food is as good as you can ever get. The hospitality is amazing too. Deepanshu, who served us food was very kind and friendly - took care of us very well. Amjad, who is the owner went to each table himself and asked if everything was good with the food. He shared his experiences and wisdom with us. Lovely meeting with him. Definitely coming over again and again. Lovely atmosphere! 😊😊👌👌👌

The prices are ridiculously high, but the portion sizes are shockingly small. I left feeling hungry and ripped off. To make matters worse, the food quality was subpar at best. The dishes lacked flavor, and some items tasted like they had been sitting out for hours. The presentation was uninspired, and it felt like the restaurant was cutting corners everywhere.

Rubbish selection for a buffet! It took 20mins to even get to the staters! £30per head for 5 dishes is abit awful!! Service was awful so asked for our service charge back but he told us to come back the next day for the refund strange! So in the end we told him to keep it! Wouldnt go again! Defo dont recommend!

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING FOR THE RAMADHAN BUFFET, THEN DONT!!!! a buffet compromising of only 8/9 dishes in total! The roast lamb was dry and didn't taste very nice, curries were nothing special. Nan breads dry. The desserts were just as bad. The staff generally were good and polite however the woman serving desserts felt like she did not want to be there Overall if you want a buffet , I promise you're better of going elsewhere.

We had a fantastic Indian cuisine cooking experience in a top spec restaurant with an amazing host and team of chefs. The red carpet was rolled out and enough couldn’t be done to make it a 10/10 experience. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Thanks to all the Zouk team.

Came here for Mother’s Day expected to be celebrated Sunday roast beef as tasteless hair was found wrapped around the chicken put me straight away my daughters beef was very bloody thought that was odd considering it was child’s meal. The service was shocking the girl couldn’t speak English well and struggled to understand what I was asking for. It was very stressful to order considering there was other outstanding places offering good hospitality for Mother’s Day and I picked zouks to receive this service. The atmosphere is amazing but the food quality and taste I would give it 2 star waste of money really. Don’t bother speaking to a manger because all you get is am sorry.

The worst buffet we have ever had in terms of price as well as quality and taste of the food. A total chaos at the time of Iftar. All the cheap dishes l offered in the name of Iftar Buffet. No comparison with My Nawab and even Al-maida etc. At least, you get a better environment and a far more variety of dishes with proper authentic taste. Strongly NOT RECOMMENDED.

Avoid this place. Customer service is non existent. I booked for iftaar during the month of Ramadan but had to cancel unfortunately. I rang up more than 3 days before my booking to the restaurant and was told that I will be issued a refund. I continued to get emails and texts confirming my booking so I rang the restaurant again and they told me I am not eligible for a refund because they don’t give refunds on bookings. They have stolen my money so I would not recommend this place to anyone. The iftar buffet isn’t even all that it’s all just a hype. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere if you’re planning on going here

I got really disappointed for my Iftar, Drove nearly 2 hours to get there to get some nice food but got really really disappointed. Food quality was really awful , plain food, and even worse than that was the service they got some south Indian guys there they don't even speak proper English They give me the shitty service in my entire life. I will never go back here again.

Avoid – Disappointing Ramadan Iftar Experience I attended the Ramadan Iftar buffet at Zouks for £30 per person, and it was an absolute waste of money. The experience was incredibly uncomfortable—our table was upstairs, and it was unbearably hot. I felt so sick and overheated that I could barely eat, which completely ruined the meal. The food itself was not as advertised. They claimed there would be "leg lamb raan," but it was just roasted chicken. Several desserts, like the banana cream cake, were missing, and others were not what was promised—the "Black Forest cake" was just plain chocolate cake with cream, and the chocolate mousse had an unexpected cherry compote in it. Service was equally disappointing. The server who seated us didn’t explain anything or ask if we had been before—we were left to figure things out ourselves. When I raised my concerns, the staff member behind the counter was completely unresponsive and seemed not to care at all. I was so overheated and nauseous that I just paid the bill as quickly as possible so I could leave and get fresh air. Overall, this was a stressful and unpleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. It was not worth the price at £66 for two people, and I had been prior for a lunch with a friend and did not like my meal but thought to try again. I absolutely do not recommend after this experience.

Been going to Zouks for many years without issues and always rated the food, but my last visit I was very disappointed with the quality of the food Steak was returned twice over cooked and then cancelled, lamb shank a favourite found a hair bedded in the shank. S ervice was good, I think it was Lily upstairs was very nice,I couldn't blame her for the kitchen staff not knowing how to cook a steak or having a hair

Awful experience. Waited nearly 2 hours for luke warm, bland food. So overpriced! The curries didn't taste of anything, the cheesy garlic naan had no cheese or garlic, it was just dry bread! Central location means that people will pay it, but you just need to travel a short distance out of the city centre to get some AMAZING curries. Avoid this place!

Service is good and staff are helpful and friendly. £30 each for the Sunday platter so £120 for 4 plus drinks and desert. Total bill £185. Food was average at best. I would have preferred a good carvery for £17 each. I don't don't see the value for money here. We expected much better, the full chicken was quite dry, the spicy gravy just wasn't nice. The roadt potatoes looked frozen, they were OK, just not great. Everything should be well above average for the price and it just wasn't, unfortunately

Disappointing Buffet Experience. Not Worth the the 30£ I had one of the worst buffet experiences in Manchester at this place. For £30 pp, I expected a decent spread, but the menu was shockingly limited. There were only 3-4 mains—Lamb & Potato, Chicken, Daal, and a Carvery station with Lamb Raan that was mostly fat. The rice was unbearably crispy, and the naan tasted like a week-old baguette. Desserts were a complete joke—no ice cream or cakes, included in the price just mousses that were nothing more than whipped cream with jam and very rude staff on the dessert counter. Drinks? You get one tiny glass of Rooh Afza milk, and if you dare to ask for a refill, it’ll cost you an extra £6 per glass. Starters were somewhat decent, but for the price, they were underwhelming. They also also add 10% of your bill as a seevice charge for cramming all the food into one small corner, creating unnecessary long queues. Feels more like an intentional strategy to make people wait for mediocre food rather than enjoy a proper buffet experience (service charge is optional, so you will have to ask someone to get it removed from the bill). If you’ve been to places like Nawaab or Al Maidah, this will be a massive disappointment. Save your money and go elsewhere. Definitely NOT recommended.

Booked table. Arrived at correct time and was seated promptly. Waited 20 minutes for an order to be taken, nobody came, just left instead. I wouldn't waste your time here, service is clearly not a priority. Unfortunately I cannot speak for the food.

On a trip to Manchester many years ago I went to a fantastic Indian restaurant, today the restaurant rediscovered me, I just happened to be in the area and recalled the fantastic food I have then and was not disappointed this evening, the standout for me was the tarka dahl maybe the best one I've had in ages.. Modern and unfussy sort of place, great service from what appears to be a seamlessly joined up front of house team, the chefs aren't bad either 👍👍👍

My partner and I did a special valentines cooking class at Zouk, it was amazing! All the staff were friendly, really informative and made the experience a pleasure. Also, the food was incredible! It was great to hear so much about Indian cooking from the chefs. Highly recommended, you will enjoy it! We left happy, knowledgeable and full from all the delicious foods we cooked :)

Went to Zouks with family, 8 of us for my father in laws birthday. We went quite early, table was booked for 4:30pm and I did request a nice table at the time of booking however we were seated upstairs alone with no other bookings although there were plenty of seats downstairs. We were told these were reserved but many of the guests didn’t arrive until after 6:30pm by which time we had finished so could have been accommodated downstairs. We ordered a mixture of starters and main courses. The portion sizes were extremely small and definitely not value for money in any way. I understand the cost of living has increased and with the current climate everything is expensive but I was shocked at how they can get away with serving a few peas and few cubes of paneer cheese barely enough for 1 person at £14.50! Overall taste was very mediocre. The restaurant itself is lovely with a lovely atmosphere (if seated with others) and the service I could not fault it was very good but it was definitely not value for money in any way for very standard food! I would not visit again and there are much better restaurants for Indian food and greater portion sizes and cheaper prices!

Food was Average, very expensive for what it is. Service was terrible. Drinks arrived late, no serving spoons. Had 2 young children didn't offer any high chairs and instead got seated in a very tight spot.

Wasn't expecting much from a burger from this type of restaurant (I think they just add it for the kids, or people who don't like spicy food!) and unfortunately I was correct. The burger was nothing special and similar to a pub burger you can get anywhere. I was disappointed that they wouldn't swap their (very average) fries with a naan bread. You would think that a restaurant that makes fresh naan's would happily do this? All my colleagues raved about their lovely tasty curries. So if you're reading this review and you enjoy Indian food then this is definitely the place to eat! (But I would steer clear of the burger) FYI - My rating is based on the opinions of the other 9 people I was with who really did enjoy their lovely food (and some of them had already eaten here 2 days earlier with another group of colleagues)

We loved everything we ordered. Generous portions. You can taste the freshness in each dish and that the spices are super fresh. The chefs in the kitchen take great pride in their skills and it shows. Instead of getting basmati rice, I ordered mushroom rice. It was so delicious!! Everybody at our table was happy with their food. Our waiter, Sebastian Jacob was very attentive, helpful and kind. We were extremely pleased with the food and will return. Also, they make breakfast here!! We plan to return for breakfast! This restaurant is an excellent choice for everyone who loves Indian food.

My friends & I visiting from the USA came here last night for sheesha, drinks, & trinity cream dessert and it was so nice they provided heaters & blankets. It was cozy & such a good time the waiters were so friendly. The next morning we came for brunch and had a mix halal, Indian, & British food. Again most gorgeous atmosphere, great service, & beyond affordable prices. Don’t let the gorgeous posh set up steer you away the prices are so good. The owner came down and greeted everyone & it was beautiful to hear the history and family dynamic in how this restaurant came to be. I have no complaints. Great foods, gorgeous bathrooms (bidet as well), great service, aesthetic gorgeous environment.

I was skeptical about coming to a place that influencers rave about, but it turns out they were onto something. Amazing fast service... within 40 mins we were sat, ordered, starters served, eaten, and cleared, and mains served. The food was absolutely fantastic. The only complaint I had was the waitress asked how spicy I wanted my jalfrezi and I asked for medium, but the curry I received was definitely mild at best. But still lots of flavours, super tasty.

An absolutely beautiful location. Night and day difference wether you want a family meal or low key night with the friends. Owner and staff are so friendly and care about their customer experience! Will definitely be coming back. Extremely affordable meals with a luxurious feel!

We came as a group of four, for the cooking class! WOW what a morning/afternoon. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to do something a little different as a couple or with friends! All staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and kind! The owner joined us for the whole experience and gave his knowledge and advice. Thank you to the whole team! We will be back for a meal!

We hosted our company Christmas party at Zouk in December 2024. From start to finish the team were incredible at accommodating us and the atmosphere was 10 out of 10 the second we walked in. The food was excellent and the staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. They all truly went above and beyond in providing us with a fantastic party and we enjoyed every second! We will definitely return and would highly recommend to others for large parties/events. Thank you to all the team for giving us one of the best Christmas parties and wowing us throughout!

Fantastic experience with everyone at Zouk. We went on the cooking class and everyone was so nice and helpful, we learned a lot about the history of Punjabi food which was lovely, and the food was incredible. Would absolutely recommend coming here, we loved it :)

The place has a nice ambiance and a pleasant setting, which initially made a good impression. During my first visit, I had a great experience and was looking forward to returning. However, my second visit was quite disappointing. After placing our order, the staff completely forgot about it, and even after waiting for 45 minutes, the food hadn’t arrived. When we reminded them, they rushed to prepare it, but the food turned out to be tasteless, overly oily, and lacked any care in its preparation. It felt like they were just trying to get it done quickly without considering quality. This experience was a huge letdown, especially after a positive first visit. The inconsistency in service and food quality is disappointing. I hope they improve, as the place has potential.

Came for the sunday roast for the 2nd time and finally was able to enjoy it . We got the platter for 2 with topside beef , chicken and lamb , everything was seasoned to perfection. We also ordered mac and cheese , which in my opinion should have been baked a little. The fresh naan was DELICIOUS .I wish there was more of a lamb serving however the options of a spicer and mild gravy was great and refill of it when finished was great too. Only thing was my drink was a little too sweet for my liking . Staff were great too. Food was so much we had to take a lot of it home so be careful the portions are A LOT. would defo recommend and would defo come back!

Went to Zouk in Manchester, and the food was really good, Alhamdulilah! The service was a bit slow, but I’m not complaining since it’s such a busy place. I only went because the restaurant was aesthetic..
