Authentic Lahori Flavours and Warm Hospitality I recently dined at Saleem's Tawa & Grill and was thoroughly impressed. The Signature Tawa was a delightful experience, offering a generous assortment of dishes that truly captured the essence of Lahori cuisine. The lamb chops, chicken wings, and seekh kebabs were particularly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The restaurant's ambiance is inviting, with a clean and modern setting that complements the traditional dishes served. The staff were attentive and ensured that our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.​ It's evident that Saleem's Tawa & Grill takes pride in delivering authentic flavors and excellent service. The quality of the food isn’t the best Better tawas elsewhere

The food and atmosphere were really good, busy place maybe because of Eid, first time, enjoyed the food with family the down side was staffs not trained, struggling taking orders and not understanding, was disappointed when we were told they don't do tap water, we had to buy bottle water. after spending £250.00, £2.50 for litre. of water

Food was very over-priced and quality not worth the money. The staff had no inthusiasm almost like the owner pays them penneys. Don't recommend go some where in Longsight but not saleem's

Food was reheated and they over charged without inform. Owner was really greedy. Definitely will never come again.

Great tasting food that actually tasted of spices/masala and not just overwhelmed with chilli to mask that's its not got any Masala in it. Defo will go again. Just need to sort the cold air draught upstairs. In winter it's not nice.

Visited with friends for late night dinner BBQ platter and Karahi was nice, Tawa Fish wasn't that great. Staff and service was good. Ambiance is just okay. Not a fine dining set up but more of fast food type, tight sitting

The food here is UNMATCHED. Everything cooked to perfection with amazing flavours. A good place to take the family or large groups as the portion sizes are great! I'm slowly becoming a regular.

Been a couple of times, just unbeatable value for what you get - especially with a larger group to feed a crowd. Most recently got the tawa for two - was more than enough for the whole day and took home a lovely leftovers portion of curry. Chicken wings, seekh and spinach curry all highly recommended. Restaurant was quite cold but staff brought out a heater for the table (and the tawa obviously also helps warm the table up!)

Sheer Brilliance!!! (3 of us -Family meal, the rest went for Chicken wraps / wings somewhere else & definitely regretted their decision after we told them how good Saleems Tawa Still Is!) We have visited & loved Saleems as a great place to eat since we noticed it probably about 3 years ago, (seems like a part of our family routine)when we first went, everywhere else was fully booked or too busy & that was a blessing in disguise as we discovered the wonderful Saleems!!! Ordered Starter Tawa for 2, which ìncludes 2 Seekh kebabs, 2 Lamb Chops, 2 Skewers worth of Chicken Tikka, 2 Chicken Wings, Chips & Nan. We ordered 2 extra Tandoori Rottes & soft drinks & half a kilo of boneless chicken Karahi (hot). Seekh kebabs were amazing / beautiful. Lamb Chops were exceptional, flavoursome and melt in your mouth. Chicken Tikka was light in colour, perfectly flavoured & disappeared like magic when you ate it. Chicken Wings were wonderful (Someone else ate those, I don't really like Wings, so when one of the experts in the family says they were good, you know it's true) Nan was beautiful, soft, fluffy and cooked to perfection. (Someone else again ate that & they are very fussy about their Nan, so for them to say it was perfect is enough) Rottees were best of the best of the best, what your dream Rottees should be like. Drinks were ok, but we need Salaam Cola & other Boycott Friendly Drinks. Chicken Karahi was really good, but we as a family are experts of Karahi in the UK, so it has to compare Akbars in Bradford, Tipu Sultan in Birmingham & although it was a really high standard, it was a 7.5 out of 10. (Karahi is normally slightly more "zingy" you can taste more spices & a little less thick / more fluid, it would normally be 8 out of 10). Mint Sauce, Chilli Sauce & Basic Side Salad are complimentary, we chose to pay for mineral water over tap water. (Don't like Manchester Tap Water, nothing is as good as Stoke-on-Trent Tap Water). Mint sauce was ok, but could have been better, it normally is, it doesn't seem important but small things matter. Chilli Sauce was good (so I am told). Salad was clean & basic. We asked for Ketchup, it was good. We got in just before the rush at 8pm, so service was fast, food being consumed within 20 minutes, we normally ask for everything together (Restaurants can normally do this unless they are super busy). We asked to be seated upstairs & they now have a flowery ceiling and seating upgraded, we were seated at the table by the stairs facing the "washrooms", normally we refuse to sit there, because we can constantly see ppl going in & out of the washrooms, but Saleems have been super clever & put a enormous padded seat back on the side closest to the washrooms, so it wasn't an issue. We washed our hands downstairs before we came up in the sink by the counter, but no paper roll to dry your hands. We love Saleems, great food at an affordable price, just over £40 (not including the tip), we were super hungry & although we are not massive eaters, we are definitely not underweight!!!! Lol!!! We ate our fill & loved the food & still brought back half the Katahi & some of the Chicken Tikka. (It won't be in the fridge long, it will disappear as the 1st of the regretful ones (who dined elsewhere) to get up will eat it, probably disappeared overnight!!! Lol!!! (Somehow when the food is this good you do eat less than normal). (Another table ordered everything cooked in desi ghee, they charged them £5 extra in total to cook all their 3 mains in desi ghee, they're much braver than us, we wouldn't dare, we have used only vegetable oil / sunflower oil for cooking at home for all my lifetime. The flavour is definitely better with desi ghee, but is it worth it in terms of your longterm health, I don't think so, but each to his/her own (decisions & life choices). Life is a Classroom, you're always learning, they won't say No, next time we tell them we are going to Saleems!!! Thank-you to the Staff & Owner Amazing ppl as always, although all the former exceptional waiting staff have changed the new staff are good too.

Waited 45 whole minutes for my families starter and that was a poperdom people after us go their food they trrat us like homeless people never go here

Took 2 of my friends who were unfamiliar with traditional Pakistani food and they both ended up loving it ! Would definitely recommend with the great service and hospitality.

The food was good but at weekends it's very busy so we decided to go for weekdays and enjoy the food especially Lahori Kulfi was amazing after food.

Food are Very high level of chillies 🌶 ,spices & salt ,not edible for normal person especially a family with kids. Avoid this place. Very high price too .not recommended any one .

Need upgrading with they place especially tables and seating downstairs are not even. what I found annoying was the service guy kept coming even in between eating and then bringing over things to buy what we never asked for but they knew kids would ask for. If we want something we can ask and not to be constantly being disturbed while we eating and bribing kids to buy sweet things and offering other savouries etc what we don't need . Food was ok even though we asked not to make it spicey few times before he walked off came back with fresh spices in the curry . Why bother telling them when they still do what they want .. I wouldn't come back again

Came here early evening with a family of 4. Ordered tawa for 3, chaat and biryani. The food was average. The waiter who served us looked depressed and lacked mannerism, didn't catch his name but he was the short chubby guy with a beard and dark skin amd bald patch

I heard good things about this place and I was left disappointed. The curries in the tawa lacked flavour and were quite mushy although the chicken wings and chicken legs were cooked well. Once we ate the food, it took a while for the waiter to take away the food/plates and no it wasn’t busy. Also the waiter bought out a big tray of kulfis. To be honest it looked complementary however we were charged for this which is absolutely fine. There could be and there is a better way to do things. Overall left disappointed.

I placed an order for a tawa starter for 8 people after reviewing the menu available online, which listed the price as £48. However, when I went to pay, the bill came to approximately £65. I brought this discrepancy to the attention of the cashier and showed him the menu I had ordered from. He informed me that the menu was outdated, but he still honored the price of £48, which I appreciated. Additionally, I had requested mild spices for the children, but this was not possible due to the pre-marinated nature of the dish.

Ordered 2 Platters through Uber Eats but only received 1. Asked for a refund with full proof but still didn’t refund my money. Worst Customer Service

I placed an order for TWO platters but received only ONE. Food quality was awful. It was informed to the management who were rude and directed to contact UBER EAT and did not resolve the issue. And nothing is fake as i have uber eat complaint record. I shall be filing complaint to food quality standards for your unprofessional reply rather than helping to resolve the issue professionally.

We have visited a number of times over the last few years, nice authentic food, well priced. Not very aesthetically pleasing but decent place for a hearty meal.

Phenomenal lamb karahi, the lamb seekh kebabs were off the charts. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. They use lamb not sheep like other places do. The lamb literally melted in the mouth

Me and my family went yesterday for a meal.. food was OK but the service was pathetic. We orderd mix grill tawa for 4 and signature tawa for 3.... and been charged £95. All of us were altogether. checked in 8.45pm and ordered food straight away, and got our food at 10.05pm. After 1/2 hr wait, we been told our order was mixed up and it will take 10 mins after 10 mins another 10 min and it carried on till 10.05 pm when we were about to leave and they brought food out. No compensation was given. Absolutely pathetic!!! And pls be noted all of us were there together no other waiting guests and we didn't ask for the delay or changed our order. So no silly excuse....It was 6 of us altogether. Absolutely disgusting service!!! Will not be going again!!! @saleem tawa don't make silly excuse in reply.. I've got all the proofs in my phone..I'll upload everything here if you want....

Do not order from here save your money guys. I want today and the food was absolutely dry like chips were dry and the lamb chops. The chicken was not fresh at all actually the whole dish was not fresh. Just because it’s Ramadan it’s not an excuse not to make the dish fresh absolutely horrendous. They do not make their food fresh I repeat they do not

Too expensive, cold food, freezing temperature inside, and food had no taste! The customer service was a joke too! Never again!

Decent Tawa and Delicious Chicken Roast

I came here with the family. Absolutely lovely place in the thick of the hussle bussle in Levenshulme. We went for the tawa for 3 which has literally everything you would love to eat 2 chicken tikka, 3 lamb chops, 3 seekh kebabs and fries with 2 curries I went for keema and the veg option tadka daal. The whole tawa was delicious and reminds you of being back in pakistan also got the jug of mango rubicon and for starters masala fish portion which I didnt really enjoy and poppadoms which are a must. The service was very good but I have to say the price has inflated since last year. Paid just over £65 which in my opinion is a little expensive but the whole experience was pleasant. Food was very nice apart from my starter and would definately come back again in the future.

I came here because my uncle is named saleem, now you are my 2nd uncle, tawa for 4 was very nice, only bad thing was the chicken dishes was a bit dry, maybe use a bit more marination next time, other than that i loved it, will be back again my 2nd uncle, staff are very friendly, decor could do with some updating, and toilet door was a quite broken so i didnt take pee in it as lock is also broken.

Extremely caring staff members. Ordered signature tawa for 2 with chicken karahi boneless and maash daal as mains. Absolutely finger licking good. ♥️ this was the second time we visited them. The first time was with one of our parents and that trip to them was also amazing.😻

We came here as a group on a Friday night, the food was amazing traditional Pakistani food served on a tawa. I would give it five stars but the man who served us initially was not too friendly. Other than that, the waiters were helpful and it was a nice clean restaurant. Thank you Saleem's.

Very attentive staff, upstairs and downstairs seating. Downstairs was somewhat cold with the door constantly opening and given the Mancunian weather but eventually were moved upstairs which was warm and provided a nice view of the busy Stockport Road. Mixed grill was tasty.

Went to Saleem's with the family and ordered the large Signature Tawa for 6 > Food and Service was still Top Notch as before! :)

Wouldn't go again.. Went with a group of 8 lads, got the food wrong 3 times. Made a very specific request of no onions in the tawa and there was onions everywhere. Tbh, i don't blame them. Indians/Pakistanis tend to have subpar customer service.

Food was tasty and came out quick but the waiters were slow with the drinks.

We had the Tawa for 4. Food quality was spot on, very spicy & tasty. If you want traditional spicy Pakistani Punjabi food then you won’t be disappointed. Staff were very friendly. 4 stars only as washroom facility was not up to par!

The lamb curry and chicken curry were good but the starters were disappointing as they were not fresh just reheated!!! When you spend £80+ on a tawa you expect to receive fresh and sizzling starters but in this case we didn't!!! A real shame

Best seekh kebabs I've tasted in a long while, cooked in the tandoori, juicy and bags of flavour. Aloo keema curry was 10/10

Good food brilliant staff and service

Very traditional pakistani food. Very tasty. The staff is welcoming and the place is neat and clean. The only problem is that there is no parking nearby.

Food was fantastic, the dhall was amazing, found young waiter a bit rude but the older waiter made up for it, we were only people in restaurant but we were early about 6pm.

Signature tava for 4 with added extra lamb chops. Upgraded to both meat curry’s and changed the plain naans to rogni kulcha naan. I have to say everything was 10/10 could not fault this place at all. Flavour wise bang on meat was tender and juicy so full of flavour. Literally every item on this tava was absolutely banging. Service was good boss man nice friendly chap. Can’t wait to go again.

Enjoyed the lamb briyani, flavourful and good portions. Lamb was tender and marinated well. Palak was too oily for my liking. Comfortable restaurant. Good service from friendly owner.

Stay away - no value for money. We spent over £150 on Tawa grill and other food. We were extremely disappointed to see that all food items were reheated, there was nothing fresh. You would expect fresh sizzling food to be served but there was none of that.

The restaurant is pure desi. When you enter inside, you feel like you are at one of the restaurants in Makkah or Madinah. Old style, tired furniture, family seating area upstairs with narrow staircase. You can ignore all that because the food is mind blowing. Their signature tawa is definitely worthy to be called "signature". Fresh food, each dish has its own flavour. To tip this up, service is very quick, staff is on point. I have been here a few times and will definitely be going back again.

Delicious food! Their tawa starters had a great selection and were juicy and flavourful, I would highly recommend the chicken karahi with naan. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the fish starter, which we also got too much of unfortunately.

Poor value for money, seating area upstairs wasn't very clean. Food was unremarkable, there's better places out there.
