Zouk Lounge in Milton Keynes

Had booked the nearby Japanese restaurant but it was closed despite the booking so we went to Zouk and unexpectedly had an excellent lunch.

Wonderful evening in The Zouk Lounge. The food was fantastic! The ribs were huge and the tagine was succulent. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The waitress was an absolute delight. So charming and attentive. She made fabulous mocktails for my daughter and looked after us all evening. Thank you!

Apart from the food, which is very average, I would advise to avoid this place for another reason. As it's not licenced, I've brought my own bottle of wine and later I've realised I was charged £10 for that! This is just criminal, as other places nearby don't charge at all for this, but I could accept something like £3, but £10 is criminal extorsion. Avoid!

I would avoid this place like the plague. An Asian/Tunisian run place claiming to be Lebanese/Turkish and the food was so bad, it should be illegal to serve. The fattoush tasted like Tesco salad with overfried, burnt oily bread. The 'Zouk Special' was a bowl of salad with one pathetic piece of rationed halloumi. The batata harrara was undercooked potato which I'm pretty sure was tinned!!! Toum was cheap mayo and salad cream mixed and not actual garlic! The chilli sauce wasn't even chilli, it was Branston Pickle!!! We were also waiting for about 3 or 4 minutes before someone actually came out and greeted us. The staff also left us with the card machine at the end and we entered our own bill amount, processed the payment and then left. I've never known anything like it. I am traumatised.

This restaurant is good for casual dinning along with shisha at the back of restaurant. The traditional arabic music and customers at the shisha area really makes u feel that u are somewhere in middleeast or at least in Egypt. We enjoyed our time.

The food is always fabulous, it’s fresh, hot, and very tasty. No compkaints whatsoever. And Zainab is a lovely waitress ☺️

Arrived 12:00 Thursday without booking in advance, just popped-in, ordered, food served around 12;30, great service (and interesting chat with) from Gabbriella. Food was delicious. Covid organisation was excellent - we are retired vulnerable but we felt very safe.

This is a very simple but clean and welcoming restaurant . The food is amazing and the waitress was so friendly but professional. Will definitely come back..

Had our first family meal out since before lockdown at Zouk Lounge last night and it was so worth waiting for! Lovely food, generous portions, great value (even without the 50% off scheme)...this is as close to proper, home-cooked Lebanese food as you'll find anywhere in this area.Our waitress was friendly, very polite and efficient. In fact, all the staff seem great and really keen to ensure your dining experience is positive. The owner clearly is genuinely passionate about and proud of his business and his enthusiasm is contagious. This place may not be posh or pretentious, but I honestly think it's one of the best restaurants in MK and can't recommend it highly enough. See you again soon, Zouk Lounge ❤

After reading reviews about this restaurant I had very high expectations and to be honest I was a little disappointed. Food was mediocre and partly cold.... not sure how some meats can be hot and some cold on the same plate! I was also stung with a 10% service charge and when challenged was told I needed to pay this as they charge this per table ... so be aware of this! Waitress didn’t give us time to review the bill and was keen for us to pay straight away.... it wasn’t until we left that I realised it was because they had charged us with a service charge which was more than 10%. So customers be cautious when going to this restaurant!

We took advantage of eat out to help out and went to Zouk lounge. There was 3 or us we had starters and then ordered the full platter for 2 to 3 people, OMG the food was amazing as was the service, we could not eat everything and took some home.Roxanna who served us was lovely and informative about the food etc, so nice. There was a problem with their internet so card payments were being failed. One of our party went to get money out the local cash points all of which displayed errors, we got cash together but were £20 short, the manager was more than happy for us to bring the money the next day, even telling us to keep the cash we had for taxis etc, we actually popped to Stony where we live and took the money to them, which surprised them. Lovely people, great service and food. We will return on a regular basis, thank you

Food was lovely, we took advantage of the eat out to help out scheme so the bill was cheap. Food arrived in good time waiting staff were excellent.

We ordered chips and they never came, they were happy to come back out to deliver this. However, the food we did receive was just covered in oil and not cooked properly. Imagine vegetables dripping pure oil, not nice. We couldn't eat it, and couldn't get a refund either.

As usual the food was delicious the humus and falafel are the best in milton keynes. Delivery time was excellent.

Order a takeaway around a friends house starting eat and noticed my 9 year old sons chicken was completely RAW then my friend also found Raw chicken. Phoned the restaurant only to be offer more food as a replacement which we didn’t really want, maybe a refund would of be better. Wouldn’t order from there again.

What a wonderful restaurant. Very beautiful, nice environment. We had a starter, chicken liver, it was really fast and we loved it. Our main courses were very good. Both waitresses were very friendly, always checking on us and two other staff members, possibly the manager or owner came to ask for our feedback. We felt very well taken cared of, we are definitely coming back and recommend it. We had the chance to meet the Chef who suggested us the desert.

Its not the first time nor the last time I will eat here. Great food, great friendly service. I would highly recommend.

Had wonderful Meze & chicken dish here with the other half. Food is fresh & tasty, real thought has gone into seasoning & marinades. Looking forward to a return visit.

This was the 2nd time I’ve eaten at Zouk Lounge, and I was just as impressed the 2nd time round. In line with most other reviews, I would agree that Zouk Longe offer a brilliant selection of authentic Lebanese food, at a reasonable price. I’ve found the service to be friendly and efficient, and I think the restaurant itself has recently been updated. A nice atmosphere, appropriate background music and good lighting so you can see the great food you’re eating! All in all, highly recommended. We’re lucky to have such a good selection of international restaurants here in the MK area, and Zouk Longe is definitely one of the best!

Heading to the near Craufurd Arms for a gig and looking for something to eat beforehand we happened across Zouk Lounge quite by accident and as we all enjoy Lebanese food decided to give it a try after first checking that there was plenty of veggie options (which there was) as 2 of our 3 strong party are vegetarian. Gabriella (from Romania) was our charming waitress who seated us and was very informative when it came to enquiring about the various veggie options on offer. She recommended the ‘Lobia’ dish to me (Lebanese spiced whole green beans cooked with fresh tomato sauce) which I then ordered whilst my brother and our friend also choose veggie options and we then decided to share these amongst us all and also decided to add a couple of side dishes. Very impressed with all the food served to us; all freshly cooked, nicely presented, tasted delicious and served to us in a timely fashion. No complaints. After dinner Gabriella enquired if we’d like to relax in their Shisha lounge located at the rear of the restaurant whilst she prepared a shisha pipe and some aperitifs for us. We accepted her offer and retired to the shisha lounge. Once Gabriella had served our aperitifs she enquired as to whether I would like to take control of the music in the lounge over their Bluetooth connection which I gladly excepted and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay a little longer for another round of cognac and G & T’s before we headed off to the nearby gig; only just arriving before the show started in the end as we’d spent nearly a full 2 hours in Zouk Lounge. All in all, a really enjoyable dinner; fantastic food, a charming and friendly waitress (Gabriella) and a real surprise and extra treat to learn of the shisha bar at the rear of the restaurant after our meal. We will definitely be back for a return visit the next time we are in the area.

My partner and I were returning from a day of shopping and decided to give Zouk a try. We stopped off about 5:30 and was one of three tables.

Me and my family went there for a meal for the first time and we left very disappointed! Poor service, expensive food and stingy. We had a tastecard and I called to book in advance. When we get there and we placed the order the server come back and told us that the chef ( owner) asked if we are the tastecard customer???? What for? Give us less food? Smaller portions? We order the mix grill which was really small and the price £17.50. If you don’t want to do deal don’t sign up for deal companies like tastecard and etc. The whole purpose of it is to customer go there and try and see how is your food , service and etc is like.We went there to try but Simply won’t go back! I had my tastecard for years because comes with my bank account and never been asked before my food arrives if we are the tastecard customers. The women that served us was new and completely lost. The seats are not comfortable and the prices are to high for what it is. We always go to similar cuisine style restaurant and to start with the other ones all give all the customers some nice bread before food and Zouk Lounge don’t. So over all will be better off go to another restaurant if you want to use your tastecard where we can get a decent portion.

Went with friends for a birthday meal and was blown away with the standard of the food. We had a hot and a cold mezze platter for starters served with lovely warm bread followed by the meat platter with added halloumi and calamari. Each dish was presented beautifully and the tastes were amazing and beautifully balanced. Complimentary slice of dessert given to the birthday girl was a lovely touch (even without that they would still have got a great review from me). We will definitely be returning and have already recommended to all our friends and have only been home half an hour!!

Enjoyed food along with family and friends, good food, good ambience and good price. We are vegetarians but had ample choices. Staff is quite friendly, highly recommended for desi and veggie visitors

This was my first visit to Zouk Lounge, and I have to say I will definitely be returning. The service was very friendly and prompt and there was a great choice of seating areas and huge selection of food.

It's fairly basic decor, but the food was good - perhaps a little on the expensive side though. Would return and be more adventurous with the menu next time.

I'm always very suspicious when restaurants are described as 'authentic' especially in milton Keynes.

I see a couple of reviews here that are not all that complementary, but I'm not at all sure why! My friend and I had a delicious lamb tagine and a Meze hot platter, and there was far more than enough food. We thought the food and service was well worth the price we paid, and I intend to come back again and again.

First time visiting this restaurant and although it was a little quiet in there the food was fabulous. Very tasty and the waiter was very friendly and helpful.

Overpriced for the small food portion we got altho the presentation was lovely and tasted ok nothing special - I won't be back or recommend

My husband and I have just got home from the Zouk Lounge, we are local to the area, after driving past many times over the last year we finally went! I wish we went sooner, the food was outstanding,I truly feel gutted we haven’t been sooner the service is amazing and the food is truly the best we’ve had in Milton Keynes (let alone Wolverton). The meat was all melt in mouth, our waitress just couldn’t do enough for us, clean cutlery after every course. We even went out the back for our desserts and coffee in their Shisha lounge which was an amazing experience which made us feel so relaxed and at home, we chose the frozen fruits flavour. Would definitely recommend these guys as top place to eat in Wolverton! Can’t wait to take our family for dinner next time.

My friend and I went for a mid-week dinner and had a fabulous meal. The quality and freshness of the food is second to none and the meat was cooked to perfection. The staff were really lovely and very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. And to top it off, we went on the 2 for 1 meercat deal which made it exceptionnel value too. Will definitely be returning.

Have been twice to Zouk Lounge with friends. We had fantastic service both times and the food - variety and quantity was phenomenal.

We went for a Monday afternoon lunch so the restaurant was very quiet however the food was very fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend! Great service too!

Visited for lunch with my mum. I had the Kafta Mixed and my my mum had the Shish Taouk. My lamb and chicken skewered kebabs were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also tasted my mum’s dish, which was very tender and juicy cubes of chicken, again beautifully seasoned. Both dishes were presented eloquently with seasoned salad/vegetables and chips/bread. Portion sizes were very generous and I was suitably stuffed upon finishing my meal. Really nice flavours and dishes, definitely a good find in Wolverton providing good food and a friendly, courteous service.

Went with Friends. There was no atmosphere, food was no better than a takeaway kebab house in fact some of the chicken dishes we had were so overcooked the chicken had become translucent. Asked for some chilli sauce and when it came it tasted stale. Do yourself a favour and choose any other restaurant in Wolverton.

A group of us decided to try the Zouk Lounge having seen the Tripadvisor reviews. It was awful!

Very disappointed, came with a group of 5 friends for our monthly dinner. Atmosphere was very poor, had no cost feeling. I had lamb which was ok, but came with very basic salad, I asked for no rice or chips, but for nothing extra or more of anything. Flat breads were cardboard and no dips offered. Other meals were absolutely aweful. Dry, hard chicken which was meant to be slow cooked (should be soft and tender if slow cooked). Diet coke was from cans and was charged at £2. Will.not be going again. Very bad.

Amazing experience at Zouk in June now our favourite place wide range of dishes including desserts and the option to finish the evening doing Shisha if you wish. Super tasty food and great service and value for money.

I visited with my family on our way back to London from MK after visiting friend. We were immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma of Mediterranean food.The full platter was exceptionally good. I must say we were not expecting food to be better or at least parallel than some of expensive mediterranean resturants in London. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit.

Popped in for lunch after spotting Zouk Lounge drvig oast! A really great find! The falafel were homemade, generous and delicious. Chicken was tender and delicious; salads were great too. This place is giving Antep Kitchen a run for their money! Highly recommended!

Honestly one of the best Lebanese restaurants I've ever eaten at, has a very cosy home feel. Shisha lounge was simply stunning. the mixed grill was very delicious and so was the mezza starters. The staff were very polite, owners came over and were very helpful especially with allergy requirements, and ensured we had an amazing experience. Food prices were very reasonable. I will defo be going back for that tabbule.

Came here with my girlfriend for a meal on an early evening, we ordered the mixed sharing platter which didn’t disappoint. There was plenty to choose from and the meat was so tender and juicy and beautifully cooked. I’ve had the same type of platter from antep but the one I had here was a better price and a lot more selection. When waiting for the main to come out the waitress brought out some bread which was delicious. Will recommend and will be coming back

Tried Zouk for the first time, will certainly go back

Me and my partner chose to visit the Zouk Lounge in Feb for our valentines meal. We visited on 16th and still had the opportunity to try out the valentines special, and dine in the private lounge!

Me and my Finance had a lovely meal at Zouk Lounge. The staff were very attentive. The hot starters of falafel, Kebba and chicken wings were very good! We both had the mixed grill, it was presented well and the meat was juicy and tender. Will definitely be back to try the Shisha lounge they have!

This was a truly pleasant, unexpected surprise. Yes, Proper Lebanese food has arrived in Wolverton. Good selection , well cooked, delicious and very generous portions.

My sister booked this restaurant based on recommendations from friends for a party of 8. It was our first visit and we will definitely be going back. The food was excellent, the staff very accommodating and we were not rushed.

The Antep Kitchen, in Wolverton, has a bit of local competition now. The newly opened Zouk lounge offers a brilliant menu, with a huge range of meze dishes, charcoal grilled dishes and shawarmas. There’s a fair range of vegetarian options, especially in the meze and all dishes are reasonably priced, especially given the size of the portions!

Lovely food, generous portions, great staff and ambience. The menu is varied with good choices for a lighter meal, sharing platters, mezze and vegetarians. Also has a children’s menu and dining has a nice relaxed feel.

Wonderful food, great drinks, fabulous service - a faultless evening! We came here because Antep was overbooked (again!) and could not have been happier All four of us agreed that it was an accident of fate that we would happily repeat. The food was tender and delicious - the meat dishes were wonderful and our party's vegetarian was also most satisfied - and the wine was a perfect selection. Service was personal without ever being overbearing - we were never pressured but never neglected - and the coffees to end were exquisite. We left an hour ago and are already looking forward to visiting again.
