Zoo sushi & bubble tea in Stratford-on-Avon

I’m unsure how this establishment is actually operating,NO toilet 🚾 Very concerned that when my friend asked to use the bathroom she was told there isn’t one for customers.I thought it was a legal requirement

Absolutely terrible food the workers stand there and watch you most of them look like they are 13 and there is an extra 10% service charge if you dine in no where in the window does it show there is a lisence to serve any alcohol and when I asked to go to the toilet I got told there wasn’t one the food it extremely overpriced and the shop itself is very cramped I would highly recommend to stay away from this so called restaurant although it is the size of a cafe and save your money and not get scammed for the small food portions

The food arrived in a staggered fashion which we were fine with but some people might be annoyed about. The food was really good except for the moshi dessert which we found inedible.

Great place for family after doing all the tours. The staff were welcoming and friendly and very kind in how they approached a family with an energetic toddler and all the needs of a young family..even cute cutlery and toys for our son. Tasty food, good pricing and very central location to Mad museum and Shakespeare birth place literally 2 min walk and 8min walk 24hr car park Ardern. Great end to the day! Recommended! One of my all-time favorite eateries in Stratford. Serving a wide and varied selection of sushi, bowls, ramen and sides, I am never strapped from being disappointed by whatever the mood strikes me with. Food that is always served hot and fresh, service always so polite and friendly, Bubble Tea with so many great choices from both base and popping balls, I never feel the need to go anywhere else for a Japanese kick. Can't recommend enough.

I have been here a few times with family. The food here is great and defiantly what Stratford needs as there’s nothing really like it in town.The staff are all super friendly and smiley.The drinks selection isn’t amazing however they do have bubble tea which I really do enjoy.They have a wide selection of different things on the menu catering for everyone, the food hasn’t disappointed yet. Great presentation and the food arrives quickly.The only downside is they don’t have a toilet you can use so you’re sent to Costa or another establishment which mid meal can be a hassle- but apart from that it’s ace. I would give this place a try if you’re passing by but wouldn’t go out of my way to visit.

Went for the afternoon tea booking and we were the only customers in there for about an hour before one more person came into eat. The staff were very friendly and the sushi was delicious, we even ordered more.

After a poor experience a few months ago. This time it was a really lovely visit. Everything about this visit was better. Service was great, staff were friendly and welcoming. Anticipated our needs , bringing water without us asking. The food took a little while to come out and would have preferred if it had all come out together, especially dining with kids. However overall the doos was delicious and we really enjoyed our visit.

The food was excellent. We all had sushi combos, and they were very good and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly, but a bit slow. They could use an extra waiter/waitress and on leaving we noticed a job vacancy sign in the window. The speed of service is the only thing holding me back from giving a 5* rating.

Zoo Sushi is a hidden Gem. I agree with the fellow reviewer a few pages down in that it's easily the best sushi I have tasted outside of Japan. The food is delicious and so delicately prepared. The staff running the place are friendly, welcoming and efficient. I usually eat here twice a week, regularly using their takeaway service and also visiting the cafe on occasion. The standard is always consistent. Reasonable prices for out of this world cuisine. It's a must try for locals and visitors alike. Keep up the great work ladies!

Arrived and ordered the vegetarian ramen. When it turned up it was on the cold side of lukewarm in a pretty bland miso broth. The vegetables consisted of salad leaves of the part you would buy in Sainsbury's and two very small pieces of broccoli, and the tofu was decidedly ho hum, at least the noodles were cooked.

So we had an itch for Japanese, hence why we ended up at this Sushi Bar. Big mistake. If you're looking for 'authentic', forget it. The sashimi was decidedly 'fishy' in smell which is never a good sign, and rather than being served with the usual white radish, was served with carrot. The gyoza was sold as chicken, but tasted remarkably like pork and the dumplings hadn't been fried off and were smothered in mayonnaise - yuck. As for the ramen soup, think miso with half a bag of Sainsbury's leaves in it. And SO over priced compared with other Japanese restaurants and Sushi bars we have been to. Massive disappointment.

We had a Groupon voucher for an afternoon tea. This place is down an alleyway near Shakespeare's birthplace. Two lovely ladies working very hard. We requested a fully vegetarian sushi afternoon tea, it was beautifully presented and tasted delicious! It included Matcha chocolate cake, Matcha tiramisu, avocado maki, cucumber maki, macaroons and lots of other lovely treats!

I order matcha latte bubble milk tea for my boyfriend. They made it more than 10 minutes and everything goes wrong. The taste and colour of matcha look like racid milk. My boyfriend bring it back to them but they did not make a new one or refund the money. So, I lost £5 for the poor bubble milk tea.

Situated in the heart of Stratford upon Avon this small restaurant creates the feeling of being in Japan not only with its décor, but with the superb choice of menu. I will say the best sushi I have eaten that wasn't in Japan. We had an afternoon tea, and was well impressed with what we had served up. Green tea plentiful but please try the bubble drinks, different but enjoyable. My only comment that is negative is the type of seating, it gave the impression of canteen rather than restaurant, but that in no way spoiled my experience and would return without hesitation.

Zoo Sushi is a small but quaint restaurant, centrally located in Stratford. This is the only pan-asian food available in Stratford (not including curry). I went with friends for lunch and had Katsu Curry. It was really good and just as good as the major pan-asian food chain's version.
