Zizzi's in Kensington and Chelsea

The food was quite nice but we felt that this restaurant doesn’t welcome Asians! My family and I (total 4 ppl) arrived at Zizzi (Earl’s Court) at around 6:45pm last Wednesday. The waiter at the entrance immediately told us the restaurant was full (when there were actually over 50% tables were available). I showed him my booking details and then he went inside to talk to another waitress and that waitress asked him to allocate us to the table which was the closest to the door (when there were other tables for four available at the inner part of the restaurant ). Ironically, as our seats were close to the entrance, we then noticed that when other diners (who were not Asians) came into the restaurant, the waiter/waitress greeted them and let them walk-in and no bookings were required! They didn’t tell any of them that the restaurant was full! Besides that, the staff even let other diners choose the table. We were extremely disappointed by such a big difference on the attitude towards us (Asians)! Really felt that this restaurant doesn’t welcome Asians. And sadly, this was not the first time we encountered such attitude here, but last time we just felt weird that the waiter insisted the restaurant was full when there were tables available. If we didn’t book the table, obviously we were not allowed to dine in this time!

We decided to book here on Sunday Evening 18:00, 06 October for 5 people. We had seen numerous positive and negative reviews and just felt we would try it for ourselves. When we arrived we received a very warm welcome and the really efficient, friendly and knowledgeable Lindsey showed us to our table. I had to change our party from 4 to 5 late afternoon, and when phoning the restaurant I could get no reply, so just left a message. Lindsey kindly rang us back within minutes to confirm that all was ok, and the booking was amended which was reassuring. The food on offer/menu looked amazing and very good value. We scanned our napkin as directed and we received some free garlic bread. Our choice of food was quite varied but myself I opted for the amazing King Prawn Spiedini and for main the excellent Lasagne Al Forno. Everyone enjoyed the food they had requested and we cannot really find fault in anything which is good. Obviously we can only write a review on our own experience. The majority of people who eat here will never ever write a review. Having said that I felt it important to try and level up the playing field on the reviews that have been written, and say we all had an excellent evening and would eat here again, without any concerns or worries. The nearest tube station is Earls Court and when leaving just head for the Earls Court Road exit. Zizzi is just a one minute walk from the exit. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will be back again.

first of all, the salted caramel brownie is delicious! the pasta was wonderful and the pizza was too. it wasn’t greasy or sickening. the staff were lovely, being so polite and welcoming. a great place to go!

THE FIRST AND LAST TIME!! FRIES NOT SEASONED, KETCHUP AVAILABLE ON DEMAND, NOT GIVEN! AND NOTHING DESPITE YOU HAD TO PUT YOUR FOOD TOGETHER TO PAY. THE WORST THING OF ALL WAS THEY CALCULATED THE TIP THEMSELVES AND SAID IT WASN'T EVERYTHING PAID!!! OUTRAGEOUS!

Two days ago I was in this restaurant. The food was great and the service excellent! Lindsay was very kind and her customer service is amazing!!

Very cold. Some of the food was cold. But taste good. Wanted to pay separately which was basically no problem. However, we had to calculate our own bill. We only noticed the 'Optional Tip' when paying. We were charged without asking. When asked, the service was very rude and rude. We didn't say anything that we didn't want to pay this. First and last time.

Good quality food and fresh produce but in insufficient quantity: 4 bacon bits in carbonaras…. The waitress brings us the bill and rushes us to pay, after payment we discover an “optional” tip of £4.20 discovered too late.. Very poor value for money

We were in the mood for some good Italian food and decided to try Zizzi. Our first impression was positive, with a friendly and attentive waitress. I ordered the roasted mushroom risotto, while my significant other chose the Chicken Milanese. Unfortunately, the risotto was average at best, and the chicken dish was inedible—dry and stringy. Thankfully, the waitress was understanding and took the chicken dish off our bill. While the service was great, we were disappointed with the quality of the two dishes we tried.

I arrived to Zizi in Earls Court with my friend who uses a wheelchair. There is a step to enter the restaurant so we stood outside contemplating what to do. A waiter saw us, asked if we wanted to go in, said he could set the ramp for us to use. He was great, not only did he put out the ramp but he wheeled my friend in to help me then wheeled her out when we were leaving. He was excellent - so thoughtful and very kind. Thank you!

Then ONE day before the booking they phone us to say they need a deposit and all meals ordered in advance - this was never mentioned before. I explained the situation that I had booked in advance, received my confirmation, the woman on the phone said she would call back and never did. Instead I get an email less than 24 hours before my booking cancelling despite receiving confirmation before. They made up policies about deposit and pre ordering. We were tables of less than 10 so that isn't necessary at any Zizzi! Terrible customer service and honestly we only booked because Zizzi has such basic food that it would be easy. I highly recommend you avoid. I'm sure we won't even receive an apology for them cancelling on us less than one day before the wedding day lunch

It's a Zizzi. Good food, but not brilliant. Excellent service. They charge 10% extra as a tip, but you can ask for that to be removed (most people won't, so that is a bit of a scam)

Food was just amazing. Wish the service were a bit more like in Tower Hill, positive and happy to meet new guests, but instead we got a bit cold response from the workers as if they didn't want either have us there or be themselves there. Anyhow, good vibe and worth the money.

Staff was the absolute opposite of welcoming nor were they quick/involved at all. Had a reservation but still had to wait outside in line for half an hour bevause there were no available tables, ordering + getting the food took another 80 minutes. Food was good but would not recommend whatsoever

Das Personal war freundlich. Die Einrichtung ok. Der Aperolspritz und der Wein auch ok. Das Essen sehr enttäuschend. Meine Freundin bestellte einen Huhn Calabrese mit Kartoffel und ich ein Wolfsbarschfilet mit Gemüse und Kartoffel (ca 1800h). Sie kam zurück und sagte uns Calabrese gibts nicht mehr. Verwunderlich um diese Uhrzeit. Ausserdem gäbe es auch keine Kartoffel sondern nur Chips. Ich dachte da an die tollen riesigen Fritten von den Pubs und willigte ein, obwohl ich natürlich viel lieber Kartoffel zum Fisch hätte. Alternativ zum Huhn Lachs mit Pestorisotto. Beide Fische sehr klein und vorher im Mehl gewälzt!!!! Entsetzlich und geschmakslos. Minifritten aufgeweicht, nicht zu essen. Glutamatrisotto und Gemüse. Die Gäste am Nebentisch hatten Huhn Milanese bestellt. Da gabs plötzlich Huhn. Klar alles aus der Tiefkühltruhe aus dem Supermarkt. Sehr enttäuschend. Die Pizzen haben sehr gut ausgeschaut. Es gibt da einen riesigen Pizzaofen. Fazit: Uns sehen sie nie wieder. Ich denke für eine schnelle Pizza und ein Bier zwischendurch ists ok.

The food is really good: the cuisine is excellent. Both pizza, both cuisine and dessert. The only flaw: there are two waiters: a boy and a girl. The girl is very kind and helpful. The boy laughed at a person at our table because he didn't understand a question he asked in English.

Too bad, and those who robbed me.

Good service. Very good menu for children. Very good food, particularly recommended dishes on the menu. Spicy chicken dish tasted excellent. Good tip for a good meal if you live near Earls Court

This place was recommended to us to try for Pizza. Ordered takeaway as there was a match on we wanted to watch. First, the person Cooking the pizza didn't even cut them into slices..... how retarded is that? Giving out Pizzas for takeaway not cut up. Ridiculous. After we cut them ourselves, with our limited supplies in our hotel room, we ate a couple of slices and thought that they have nothing to write home about, I would say they are average at best. Pretentious cook, pretentious food and prices... I would not go back nor recommend.

Took a while to be greeted and shown to a table. Not really busy, but slow to take our order. We were just about to walk out. Ordered lasagne a pork belly plus 2 large Nastro Azzuros. Drink came with very small glasses. The lasagne was lovely. The pork belly was far from the advertised crispy crackling. Sent it back for a crisping. Epic fail. Could have walked out again but stayed and ate it as the lasagne was nearly finished. No one asked how it was anyway. Very disappointing meal. Electronic device to show bill and no receipt offered. They also failed to advertise the zizzi rewards. They’re usually so reliable.

Food was good and staff the same. I'd avoid the "Pork Belly" though; the size of the portion that came out was a joke TBH!!...

Food looks good but the taste is average for most items, The lasagna 6 layer was good though. Pizza needs flavour balance with right topings.

If you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, this is a place to go. The best pizza and pasta I've tried in the UK so far! The staff is lovely and helpful, good selection of food, drinks and dessert.

Talking about Italian cuisine in this place is an insult to Italy. On the menu there is a carbonara with cheddar and mascarpone and a Siciliana Salmon which we didn't quite understand from which Italian recipe it was taken and which we obviously avoided. We had an appetizer of cured meats and vegetables, all of which was completely messed up. We sent it back after the first taste. Then, not knowing what to have, we took a margherita pizza that looked like the frozen supermarket one. A piece of advice: avoid writing Italian cuisine.

I ordered a glass of frozen blood orange drink, but the staff gave me a can which was completely frozen until I asked for ice cubes🙄 The pizza crust is very thin and tastes good. The highlight is the Cabonara spaghetti👎🏻The price is 17 pounds. The appearance of the dish shows how good it tastes. The first time I ate it, I felt it was really good. It has no bacon taste or cheese taste. It has no taste at all!!! Cook it yourself The good taste flows through the channel, and the energy is strong😪

Ordered garlic bomb, pizza and the rainbow lasagna- garlic bomb had 0 flavour … the pizza was average at best , the lasagna was effectively the ingredients without seasoning - lovely service but terrible food

Lovely dinner today at Zizzi Earls Court. Shakir was our waiter and he made sure we had everything we needed, and was very helpful with our little one giving us crayons and a cup and straw for him to use. Food was delicious and came out really quickly! Would definitely go back :)

Unfortunately, Zizzi in Earls Court left a lot to be desired. To start, one member of our party mentioned a mild nut allergy and the server we had refused to bring the pasta crisps, citing that the manager wouldn’t allow an “allergen item” to be served to the table. I understand the safety of patrons dining but the guest who had the mild nut allergy was okay with the server bringing the pasta crisps and wasn’t going to eat them anyways but was made to feel like she was being ostracized by this over the top reaction. The server did end up bringing the pasta crisps in a small cup after hearing us talk about how ridiculous it was and questioning how we are going to order food if she can deny any dish due to “allergens present”. Once we received our drinks, the wine glasses and water pitcher had hard water stains all over them and were cloudy and not appealing. The server then had trouble understanding when another member of the group asked for plain chicken in the dish, saying that they can’t do that. She then doubled back and pointed out the exact same meal that we were literally just looking at and said they can do that one with no sauce as if it was a brand new concept that she was offering. It was weird. She also had to come back after orders were placed to inform us that there were no more potatoes as a side dish and to choose something else. The food itself was not anything resembling Italian dishes once it came and I actually forgot we were supposed to be at an Italian restaurant. It was edible, but not better than anything you could find from food trucks and other little stops around the city. The server then didn’t take the free meal off of the check (birthday code) and was going to charge us full price until we reviewed the check. She then had to physically take the phone that belonged to our friend with the code to her cash register to input it which was also super weird. Overall not a pleasant experience at all and it was way overpriced seeing as it was THE most expensive meal of the entire week. I don’t suspect that going back another day or getting another server would raise the score either. Basically- find an authentic Italian restaurant (or any other restaurant) to eat at

Meatballs came frozen, dish-ware was dirty, multiple ingredients listed on menu were not on the pizza when it came out, multiple dishes listed on menu were out of stock, hostess was rude, will not be returning. I think frozen pizza would’ve tasted better to be honest!

I was seated at a dirty table and I had to ask that it be cleaned despite the cutlery already set out. It was extremely busy and noisy. The food was a small portion but was the best Italian food I've ever had!

The pizza was thin as paper and burned on the edges of 1/4 of the pizza. The ravioli with goat cheese and spinach was covered in way too much oil to the point that it was running down my fork if I wasn't holding it downwards. We are only rating 2 stars and that's because of the waiter who was very kind and friendly. But it was really really not worth the money spent!

Very poor service - food came out at different times and charged for food items that they forgot to deliver - despite repeatedly asking for them - would not bother to again - franka mankas is down the road and a lot better and cheaper too!

Everything was genuinely amazing, food was 6 star if possible

The venue boasts a charming atmosphere complemented by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. However, it tends to be rather noisy, which might detract from the overall experience for those seeking a quieter environment.

I had the pan-seared salmon and pesto risotto - An absolutely amazing meal! It was the best risotto I've ever tasted, the fish was seared to perfection and I am only regretting not savouring it more. Finished off with an espresso brownie that was so rich and indulgent, yet reasonably priced. The quick, polite and helpful service left nothing to be desired and I would recommend anyone to visit.
