Lucio in Kensington and Chelsea

Excellent food and good family service. The atmosphere was perhaps a little formal for a Chelsea lunch but nevertheless very charming. Set price lunch was not cheap, especially when you are charged a lot extra for things you like. However, quality was top notch and portions were about right. Wine was pricey as per most restaurants in London these days. There were, at least, some decent wines on the list which represented relative good value.

Amazing food, service and experience. Best filet steak I can remember! Would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys great food which is value for money.

Ate here with friends and it was so noisy we couldn’t hear each other. The food was sparse, bland and very overpriced. Service was very mixed and slow. We paid. £30+ for starter of 3 asparagus sliced with few new potatoes and dressing. £40.25 for rubbery overcooked swordfish with few green beans (no potatoes). Daylight robbery. The wine was seriously overpriced too: There are many far better Italian restaurants in this area. We won’t be returning.

We started going to this restaurant just before the lockdown and it was the great discovery to keep us going (and working) during this period. We have since then been visiting nearly every week. An absolute gem, delicious food served with lots of attention by this dedicated family and their staff. Thank you so much to Lucio and sons.

I’ve dined at the establishment for lunch and dinner many a time and I can say the best hands down. Family-run which makes it an interpersonal experience. Food is excellent accompanied by an amazing selection of wines. Specials are seasonal and highly recommended, allowing you to try their best dishes throughout the year. Ambience is elegant and soft making it an unreserved recommendation for any occasion.

Interesting small menu and daily specials ( latter verbally advised at speed with no pricing info given - a small piece of paper clippedd to menu would be useful). Food was good though excellent meat in lamb ragu woul have benefited from a small amount of tomato to provide a bit of acidity and colour. Bill arrived with no proper breakdown ( normal in cheaper end Chinese restaurants in soho and Queens way but NOT on Fulham Road) rather line items for x starters, y mains and z desserts. Our US host didn't make a fuss but later said he can't claim as an expense without a proper item by item breakdown. Lucio can and must do better on this front.

Best Italian restaurant in London. Amazing food, I highly recommend meat carpaccio and parmigiano, ravioli with meat ( simply delicious). Amazing as well the wines menu and the professional and lovely service. I really raccomanded

A local friend brought me to Lucio for lunch and it turned out to be one of the best Italian food I’ve had in London. Family run business with a lovely and friendly vibe. Food was very delicious (tried their vongole and tiramisu) and the wine recommendation was excellent. Overstayed and had the privilege to chat more with Dario about the wines they carry - truly a pleasure and thank you so much!

We had work dinner at Lucio. Loved it!!! Food was absolutely delicious, atmosphere very cozy. We all had a pleasant experience. Would definitely recommend it.

I hadn’t been back here for a few years, and I don’t know why! An amazing little authentic Italian gem in the heart of Chelsea, the food and service is outstanding.

Everything on the menu is so good, it’s very hard to choose! There is usually a special, and the night we went it was scallops. They were excellent. We split the pasta vongole and had two starters, all of which were good. They wine list is extensive but we had cocktails from the bar, the minor shortcoming of which is a lack of good tequila. (They have the basic Cuervo that is half grain alcohol. ) Our waiter was T he charming owner and namesake, Lucio. The restaurant was chock-full of Italians, apparently regulars. We took that to be a vote of confidence.

Took my senior management from work for dinner here and must say it was truly incredible! The staff there make you feel very welcome and you feel positive vibes all around. Dario was fantastic in recommending the most amazing Italian food we have eaten in London. The drinks made by Mirko were just spot on. 100% recommend

Lucio is really top notch. Food is amazing and the service is beyond what you find in most restaurants. Friendly place and whilst a lot of the guests appear to be from different countries they all seem to know each other!

Lucios is a great authentic Italian, for a student budget it’s a lil pricey but 100% worth it. Totally recommend going.

The staff was amazing and it’s such a cozy place so I feel bad to give it such a poor rating but my salad and the fish was inedible unfortunately :( the pastas looked good though? Didn’t taste them though.

Acudí a este restaurante por estar cerca del hotel y vistas las buenas reseñas que tenía. Personal correcto, comedor agradable aunque un poco ruidoso. La comida para mi muy buena, linguine vongole en su punto picante, quizás les faltaba un punto de más sabor una carne de manzo buena y en su punto exacto de cocción que yo les pedí. Los únicos peros..... mi pareja pidió una pasta boloñesa en la que la salsa estaba demasiado líquida, poco ligada. Por otro lado y a mi modo de ver los precios de los vinos algo excesivos.

I don't often write reviews but I feel it would be a disservice not to. The owner, the family and the whole team are so kind, professional and accommodating in what they do. Furthermore the food is outstanding.

I book Lucio's for my boss on a regular basis and he loves it. I was lucky enough to be taken there for lunch a couple of weeks ago and now I know why he loves it so much and goes back time and time again! Lovely food. Lovely people. Lovely wine. Highly recommended.

Lucio has built a following of loyal customers since opening this restaurant nearly 20 years ago. The food is consistently excellent, with a menu that offers variety and changes every season as well as creative daily specials based on what Lucio can find fresh each morning.The service is overseen by Lucio and his two sons, and you can rely on them to be knowledgeable and responsive. It is true that the busboys can struggle at times, but many restaurants in London now find it difficult to recruit the right waitstaff and Lucio’s advantage is that he and sons are outstanding at providing a personal touch.The wine list is extensive and has some good value wines alongside the expected expensive ones. Also, lunch is great value with a set price menu and the same excellent food.A visit to Lucio transports you to a great family restaurant in Italy, and his repeat clientele (many sophisticated Europeans who live nearby in Chelsea) clearly agree. This really is one of the best.

Great food and service but very noisy

Salve. Mi è capitato di lavorarci per 3 giorni,all'epoc 6 anni fa. Ero appena arrivato a Londra ed ero in cerca di lavoro. Ho trovato uno staff pessimo,cattiveria assoluta, italiani come me. Fecero di tutto per farmi mandare via, manco un consiglio,zero. Per non parlare del proprietario, Lucio, umanità zero. Quando mi mandò via,me lo disse tra la veglia e il sonno sul divano,manco una stretta di mano e magari un "buona fortuna". Valuto 1 per questo, per quanto riguardo la cucina non so come si mangia. Salve .

Siguiente Besugo con espinacas también muy sabroso. Una buena botella de vino para acompañarlo y con el excelente personal atento una deliciosa experiencia de almuerzo.

Popped in for lunch with my wife and daughter. Set price lunch menu was really very good in terms of choice, taste and value. Accompanying drinks were a bit pricey. Service was good and will definitely return.

There is a reason this local has been a fixture for as long as it has. Always genuinely welcoming they serve an uncomplicated yet fine menu which changes with the seasons and market. Be sure to ask for wine recommendations. These are carefully considered and usually from small producers. A regular go to which never lets you down.

Ristorante italiano raffinato e davvero ottimo. Eccellente il carpaccio con un leggero sentore di tartufo, buonissime le animelle e il fagiano ripieno. Cotto perfettamente il pesce alla griglia. Squisiti i dessert tra cui la panna cotta al mandarino e lo sgroppino fatto veramente bene. Buona la cantina. Servizio perfetto e gentile. Prezzo alto ma in linea con il quartiere di South Kensington.

Sehr sehr gutes Restaurant essen schmeckt einmanfrei. Auf Essen muss man auch nicht lange warten auch wenn der Laden voll ist und ich mir nur ne Pizza bestelle dauert es Max. 15min. Personal ist sehr freundlich Und über den Preis kann man sich auch nicht beschweren finde es sehr günstig und man hat dafür echt ne qualität

Sono spesso a Londra e dopo averne sentito parlare ho voluto provare questo ristorante nell'ultimo mio viaggio i primi di dicembre: piatti assolutamente anonimi nulla di eccezionale per noi italiani cucinati in modo ordinario. Ambiente certamente datato tutto l'arredo è sicuramente da rinnovare perché non da la senzione di pulizia che deve invece offrire un ristorante. Un applauso grande va ai camerieri tutti ragazzi molto giovani volenterosi e gentili, aimè messi continuamente sotto pressione dal titolare che li riprende pesantemente in malo modo, con estrema maleducazione e soprattutto davanti ai clienti senza alcun problema. Tutto l'ambiente risulta pertanto

Whilst the food was well presented and true to Italian roots, the service was very poor. Very slow, some very inexperienced waiters and some very warm white wine! Slow to fill wine, missed cutlery, general vagueness. Won’t bother to go back unless friends force me!

Elegir un restaurante en Londres para un almuerzo de buena relación calidad-precio con comida de calidad puede ser una pesadilla cuando no se planifica y el tiempo es limitado entre citas. De los que se encontraban en las inmediaciones, elegimos comer en Lucio's únicamente en función de su menú. Aunque solo la mitad del restaurante estaba realmente en uso para el almuerzo, las mesas no estaban abarrotadas una encima de la otra y, por lo tanto, podíamos disfrutar de nuestra conversación sin ser escuchados. Había un ambiente agradable pero no molesto sobre el lugar. Elegimos del menú de almuerzo de dos platos y no nos decepcionó. La comida era típicamente italiana mediterránea sin estar basada completamente en pasta: el Carpaccio de atún era realmente excepcional ya que simplemente se derretía en la boca. Incluyendo 2 copas de vino y una botella de agua sin gas nuestra factura a 61. 50 no era irrazonable para esta parte de Londres. Sin duda volveríamos a visitarlo en esta ubicación general nuevamente, ya que el personal era atento pero a pesar de que nuestro tiempo autoimpuesto limitaba el servicio y los cursos de comida parecían no tener prisa.

Best Italian food and atmosphere in London

The third generation owners are on site and extremely gracious and welcoming, The staff is efficient and knowledgeable. The food is outstanding. Basically Italian (?) but delicious. Lovely ambience in an appealing neighborhood.

Much better than i had seen on some of not really positive reviews. Filled with regulars (hence felt a bit away), but the staffs were equally friendly and nice to first timers like us. Would come back.

Bonito y luminoso restaurante en Fulham Road. Los camareros y el frente de la casa eran súper amables y atentos, y el menú tenía una buena selección de platos clásicos mediterráneos. Éramos un grupo de tres y entre nosotros probamos cinco de los platos en el menú y todos parecían muy satisfechos con la comida que tenían. Mi plato principal de linguini de almejas estaba lleno de sabor y muy agradable. El restaurante estaba bastante ocupado durante el período del almuerzo, con un ambiente agradable y los precios eran, para esa parte de Londres, realísticamente establecidos. En general, un almuerzo muy agradable de un restaurante me encantaría volver a visitar.

Voy allí varias veces al año cuando viajo a Londres. Me gusta el ambiente relajado, clásico y el tipo clásico de comidas. El servicio puede variar. A veces es amigable, relajado, pero a veces no está bien organizado y es un poco "caótico". La calidad de los alimentos también puede variar, en su mayoría de buena calidad. Los altibajos en el servicio y la calidad de la comida para mí son el mayor inconveniente de un restaurante que, en general, me gusta.

My wife and I had a relaxing, enjoyable Sunday lunch. Amazing old Italian favourites and good old fashion friendly service. Great atmosphere with mostly Italian families out for a Sunday meal.

We ate here as a group of 4 ladies this week. One member of the party had recommended it as she had been with her husband. For lunch it was perfect. We had a nice bright table near the window. Staff were efficient. The food was excellent. Three of us had the beetroot, goats cheese and walnut starter, which was declared delicious by all. so good it was being eaten slowly to extend the pleasure! The duck ravioli with a pea puree was very good and the scallop pasta, perfect!

I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend who lives locally and returned this week with other friends. I love Italian food and this place has great food, great service and great ambiance. It’s not cheap but it’s in the heart of Chelsea so not unsurprising.

The food was generally very tasty (although the meat dishes were dry and tough) but the service was nowhere near up to their “fine dining” prices. The manager/owner is only visible to welcome and then at the end to explain and excuse errors in the bill. Other than that the service seems to be run by students who haven’t been trained and don’t appear to be managed: we had to serve ourselves wine , despite trying to attract their attention - ok for casual dining but not at fine dining prices; bread is passed over the head or worse in front of the face of neighbouring guests rather than walking round the table; the dishes get muddled up and we have to remind them who ordered what. The bill arrives with just a total for each course (and there were 6 of us) manually written on a piece of paper and then in our case added up wrongly!

Lucio is a traditional Italian. Not for the neophiles amongst us. The menu has the staples and a few variations on these together with a few seasonal specials. The food is good without being outstanding. Prices are breathtakingly high - wild halibut around £40.00 for example and all starters in the region of £20.00. Moreover, service was somewhat lacking. The restaurant was quite full, but this is no excuse for failing to fill up water and wine glasses and generally not being attentive to diners - no offer of Parmesan with my pasta, no offer of bread round the table except on request, very slow on sorting out the bill. Not sure I will return.

Went with friends for a birthday occasion. We were a group of 12 persons. The owner and his staff could not have been more helpful. Delicious selection of top quality high end Italian red wines. Service and food was faultless.
