The customer service is excellent, the place is beautiful and very clean, and the food is delicious. The perfect place to eat and rest after a walk through Notting Hill.

Gorgeous little hole in the wall with authentic Italian fare. The to-die-for garlic bruscetta and quintessential Margarita pizza did not disappoint. If you want to find a quiet nook with delicious fare amidst the chaos of Portobello Rd, CC is highly recommended.

This is such a lovely restaurant! The food was delicious, especially the vegan pizza. I‘ve been vegan for fifteen years and during that time I‘ve had some decent pizza but this one was absolutely the best one. The service was kind and the next time I‘m in town I‘ll be sure to eat here again. Thanks for the good food!

We were welcomed by a friendly Sicilian who put us at ease. Then we enjoyed 3 excellent pizzas and drank an excellent beer with the house label ("cinquecento"). The bill in our honest opinion. Thank you.

We had to wait over an hour and a half for the pizzas (the other diner with salad was served an hour before the pizza eaters). The waiter was very sweet and clearly trying to deal with a bad situation from the kitchen - nearly all the other diners got up and left. When it finally arrived the pizza was OK but crust burnt. The salad was quite nice but I didn’t like the dressing which was bought not home-made and the salad was drenched in so it was all soggy. Atmosphere could have been good as the decor is nice and it’s a cosy place but as everyone left it was really quiet and those of us that stayed were annoyed and hungry! I think I would have expected a significant reduction on the bill - or even some bread or dough balls to keep the kids happy - but we were just offered a free soft drink which we didn’t really want!

This restaurant was so overpriced for what we got. My husbands meal, a seafood pasta, was absolutely disgusting. I could smell it. It smelt off. Consequently he did not eat much of it and felt unwell after it. My meal was a tomato ravioli which was nice but very small. Would not recommend this place at all. Very disappointing.

Nice place where to have dinner with friends. Interiors are nice but not enough space between tables, which may be uncomfortable. Pizza is good but not the best and I am not too sure it is good value for money. Also, to note that the service charge is mandatory.

Great experience altogether. The manager was exceptional, always went above and beyond with a great attitude and a smile. I didn't like one of the starters, so they kindly changed it for me. Loved the pizza and the tiramisu! It was the best one I've had so far. I would come back.

This charming Italian restaurant not only boasts an inviting atmosphere but also serves some of the most authentic Italian cuisine I have ever tasted. As soon as I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance that made me feel right at home. The decor is beautifully done, with rustic touches that transport you straight to Italy. The soft lighting create a delightful backdrop for a perfect evening out. The manager, Aline, deserves special mention. Her passion for Italian food and hospitality shines through in every aspect of the restaurant. Aline took the time to personally welcome us and even shared some fascinating stories about the origins of the dishes we were about to enjoy. Her attentiveness and genuine care for her guests made the dining experience even more special. I will come back for sure !

have been eating here and at the sloane square location for over 4 years, this was by far the worst experience out of all the 10+ times i’ve been here. ordered the burrata pizza with no mushrooms, it arrived with mushrooms and the burrata was completely dry, absolute disappointment. pizza dough was undercooked and overly doughy, which isn’t usual; the italian sausage came in thick slices instead of crumbled over. who i assume is the “manager” or front of house was sat on the table beside us, smoking, which is not a great look to be honest. considering it was basically empty inside (about 3 tables occupied), the only waitress took a decently long time to take our order.

The decoration and atmosphere is very cute. Food was below average, definitely not Neapolitan pizza or pasta. The service was unbelievably awful.

I’ve been looking forward to a good pizza for a while now so came here to grab a takeout one. Just collected a stone cold margarita from them that wasn’t even cut. Had to tear it apart to eat. Worst pizza I’ve ever had. Disgusting

Very tasty food and nice atmosphere. We got the table overlooking the street so we sat inside but felt like we were dining outside. This was extremely pleasant considering the sun was out all day today ☀️ Very friendly staff, they made sure we were well served. We had the fried lasagna snacks as a starter. WOW! A culinary experience. Afterwards we had tagliatelle al ragu and a Burrata pizza. Both were delicious. This place brings you authentic Neapolitan food. It's 200% worth your money. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Recommended by a friend, we came to this place for dinner and waited for a seat since it was full. The waiter noticed us but completely ignored us despite having waited there for a few minutes and calling out to him. However, midway through waiting, a mom and her 2 kids walked past us and approached the waiter asking for a seat, to which he immediately served them the last table. Honestly surprised by this atrocious behaviour.

I ordered lasagna, it was the worst lasagna I have ever eaten in my life. It was served cold, the sauce was tasteless and had a disproportionate amount of sauce. I don't recommend it to anyone. I went there for the first time upon my friend's suggestion, unfortunately I didn't like the food.

Turned away while with my small child at midday today and told “we open at 12:30” (despite their website clearly stating a 12:00 opening time). None of this would be an issue, if refusal of service wasn’t accompanied by poor attitude. A little humility a simple “we are running a little late” would have sufficed. Very disappointing.

I have now tried almost all of their pizzas. The first one was brought to me in Wales. I put it in the microwave for a minute. I tasted it with some doubts. Instead, the taste was really special even after a journey of many hours. Transferred to me. in London I found it right in my neighborhood 🙂 (Notting Hill) Portobello. Since then we have been regular and always satisfied customers. The best in my opinion is the one with mortadella, burrata and pistachio. Exceptional!!! The others are no less, sausages and friarielli first and foremost. But I think that everything is really delicious. We mainly consume them with home delivery, as the place they have is super welcoming but small. I also recommend the tiramisu with pistachio as a dessert

This place is so wildly underrated, genuinely the best dough in london, don’t forget to try the fried lasagna bites - they are so good.

Great Pizza - table of 4 for pizzas and a few beers ~£30 each - decent value and good service

My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant for lunch, after a good experience in Chelsea branch. The place wasn't busy at all, as we're sitting just in front on the till I could see the staff were just chatting, not checking on clients. We ordered one coke zero, they didn't have it so the waitress brought one diet coke without even asking if it was okay. After the starter, the other waitress dropped a dirty fork on my jeans. The two waitresses on the floor forgot to sent our order for the mains, finally after 40 minutes our pizzas arrived. Needless to say other clients have been sit after and still got served before us. One pizza arrived half burnt so we sent it back (they removed it from the final bill). When the pizzas arrived we had to ask for cutlery and napkins as they didn't provide any after the starter. We asked for the bill and the only reason I didn't ask to remove the service charge is because I wanted to leave as soon as possible, I was so embarrassed for the whole situation. The two waitress didn't even apologized or said goodbye when we left . The starter (montanara fried pizza) was only positive note. One hours and 40 minutes for eating one starter and half pizza each. Never again 👋🏻

The food is very good, as a true Italian I find the pizza to be authentic and delicious. The service is good, there was a small mix-up but they were very nice, especially Gaetano, the owner, a nice and helpful person. The location is welcoming, a little narrow but pleasant

Tasty food and a chill atmosphere. The place is a bit bigger than the same restaurant in Portobello, which makes it a more peaceful dining experience.

Tried their Tartufata pizza and it was not bad. the dough on the side spongy and chewy but the inner dough a bit soggy prob due to soaked with the cheese/burata oil? They were generous with the toppings incl wild mushroom and courgette. Pity that their coffee machine broke down that morning so could only order cold drinks. The waiter was friendly and polite. Ambience and decor very European and homely. note that they only accept card payment

So I went to claim the £10 lunch deal that is on the Embargo app but the lady working there said they're not on the app. Please explain what it is that I see on the app then (see screenshot). I mean, if you canceled the deal, fine but at least remove yourself from the app! So misleading. Not to mention she wasn't friendly and seemed pretty annoyed by my questions. She didn't want to provide any further explanation. Does not make a good impression unfortunately, which makes me not want to come back even without the deal.

I didn’t get excited with the pizza! It is not even close to Neapolitan pizza, the crust is very thick!!! We tried the picante and Bosco pizza, tasty and good quality products. Tiramisu was quite good. It is also true that even though service charge is included in the bill, the staff will ask you for tip once you pay by card!!! This is unacceptable and it needs to be addressed! You can find better pizza places. I am sorry!

The Pizza was really great however it was a birthday celebration and we took a cake with us and they wanted to charge us £15 to eat the cake there so we ended up taking the cake home which somewhat spoilt the experience. Also the place is very small and the tables are very tightly packed together leaving hardly any space between tables and making it difficult to even get seated.

I am really sorry to say that the pizza wasn’t how expected. We previously had the 500 pizza delivered from Chelsea area and we really enjoyed it. We went to the location in Notting Hill with the same expectation but it was a disaster. I am happy to pay money for good food but the pizza I had was definitely to expensive compared to the bad quality. The topping was lacking and the dough was really terrible. The dough was uncooked on top and burned in the bottom… definitely too thin in the middle. As there are better pizza places in the area I am sorry to say I won’t give this place a second chance.

A typical Italian, thin pizza. Although the outer edge was chewy and the toppings were fresh, the inner pizza dough was soggy and couldn’t hold the toppings. The flavor was good, though. Overall, 7 out of 10. That’s all for now.

Cinquecento is a delightful Italian pizzeria that deserves a well-earned 4-star rating. The informal atmosphere adds to its charm, creating a cozy and inviting space for pizza lovers. The pizzas themselves are really good but they have many other things in the menu. For a casual and delicious Italian pizza experience, Cinquecento is the place to be.

This is the best pizza in Notting Hill, maybe even in West London :) I’m a big fan since over 4 years and never disappointed. It is great dining and vibe inside, always smiling waitresses, happy to advise on good wine and great starters. I’m always going for pizza with anchovies and my partner with classy capriciosa topped with red wine🙌 It is also great place for weekend lunch and evening cocktails night. Definitely on the top of my bests spots in London.
