The service was very slow they blame that on shortage of staff because they were busy they had chef manager and one server ridiculous, the food we ordered was not good one meal out of four was okay 2 meals had no flavor and was not spicy at all there was more flavor from a £1 pizza at Aldi the 4th meal was Luke warm and the drinks were outrageously expensive! after explaing what was wrong we were greeted with Oh ok please try us again!

It was not busy when we arrived but they seemed to be short on the ground with staff. It took a while to get seated. We tried to order by using the QR code bit that didn’t work and so we had to wait and wait for someone to come over. The menu looked delicious with plenty to choose from. Unfortunately my meal was disappointing and Instantly regretted my choice as my partners food was lovely. (He had a pizza) I had the herbed rolled pork with green bean spinach potatoes and crispy pork crackling. There was little meat to be found and the rest was fat. There was no crispy crackling and only a leaf or 2 of spinach. We left and again waited a long time to pay. May have been a different review had I have had a different dish but I left disappointed.

Ordered a lasagne and garlic bread and paid £25 for the privilege for what was essentially a microwave pot lasagne. Tiny portion, cold in the middle and just overall a mess of a dish, will not be ordering again.

It was a lovely day outside, and the food was good. Clearly high-quality and very tasty. It took a little while to arrive and it took a little while for us. We recognised that we were sitting at the tape for menus to be brought over and orders taken. Everything was smooth. There was nothing wrong. It did take a little while and I wanted to know that that’s the only reason for the demotion the stars.

Recommend the food here it tastes amazing, excellent service they recognised us and we hadn't been for 2 months and gave us our usual table by the window. The portion price is great and prices good. Go pay a visit

Waited 40 mins for drinks to arrive, staff very disorganised and just focussed on bringing people in and sitting them down, with little service. Food arrived about 10 mins apart, so others had nearly finished before I started. In the plus side the food was nice. I wouldn’t recommend though

Absolutely appalling and will not be returning. We were greeting by a very lovely lady at the door who seated us right away. There was only me and my friend and one other table in the whole place. There was 1 chef on ( that I could see) and the lady who seated us. She immediately sat us down and asked for drinks orders. We ordered and when we received it which was about 15 minutes later, I asked her for a straw to which she stated they don't have them. We then placed our orders for food. The starter came quite fast and was delicious ( aracini balls) however my friends garlic bread was very chewy. The main came shortly after but she left all the old cutlery on the table and didn't offer new ones. The main was very nice but a small portion for what we paid. I wanted another drink to have with my meal but she was nowhere to be seen at first. Then I see her sat on a table by herself texting and laughing at her phone for atleast 10 minutes. I would of ordered at the bar but she was sat down again on her phone and noone else. To be seen. So I decided to order by the app and I heard the loud ding from the computer as I was sat next to the bar. 10 more minutes go by and she is STILL sat down on her phone. So I asked her for an update on the drinks because we ordered ages ago. She says " oh I didn't know sorry". Obviously because you were sat on your phone for 20 minutes. We spent £100 for the worse service of my life. Will NOT be returning. Would off gave 0 stars if I could she was appalling .

I went to this restaurant with my friend, ordered 3 course with starter total cost £26.95, The pizza no cheese at all, just like eating the " dry thin paper" hardly can cut , no any topping, a bit herb with a tiny piece praw, no as discrible on the meniu.the amount of the food very less it seems the plate is very large and fool customer. Not vulue for the money for get the food like that, will not recommend for this food place, really dissatify about the food.

The food was amazing. Ordered a few items off the new menu and it was all lovely. Nattasha who served us was the loveliest!! She is so sweet and really made us feel comfortable.

From start to finish Nattasha our server could not do more for us. Nothing was too much bother, she gave great recommendations, was lovely, friendly and so helpful. The food is always great here but Nattasha made the experience beyond compare.

Well I've got to say this is the 1st time I've ever been so disappointed with the service in all my life. Waited 10 minutes to be seated even though there was only 3 people in the whole restaurant. Zero customer service, tables left with dirty plates and cutlery for over 30 minutes. Food was poor, and then to top it off I had to answer 30 questions and several asks for a tip and donations before I could pay for my terrible meal. Zizzi you've gone downhill big time. Won't be earing here again ever. Oh and don't bother to complain you just get a snotty email back from some middle manager who thinks argusing with me was a better idea than just apologising and offering a meal or something to appease the awful experience. But don't worry I will be publishing the email and seeking legal advice, I will also be posting thr video of the service we received

Been to many Zizzi restaurants but this was somewhat of a dissapointment. Service was good but simply didn't think the Pasta dish we had was VFM. Will not be returning any time soon.

Enter restaurant. Half full the place is. Waited 4 minutes for a person to come and seat us. She asks have we booked, I answer no. She goes on to say she would need 20 minutes to put cutlery on the table. I pointed out the restaurant isn't busy at all so why 20 minutes. Role that's how it is. Actually it's not. Actually I'll vote with.my feet. Actually you guys suck. Shame. Was really looking forward to it. But now, I wouldn't eat there if its the last eaterie on the planet. 0 out of 10 for you guys.

Late night so it was quiet. To be expected on a Thursday. Staff are absolutely lovely. Food was what you expect from a chain. Cannot argue with portion size, was hot and taste wise was sound. Good for the price point it is marketed at.

Sorry Zizzi but I really am not a fan of this sit at a table and use the Qr code to order and pay for a meal. This is the second time this happened first was Nando’s and that was like a canteen atmosphere! Yuck!!! Zizzi had some really nice things on the menu for all tastes and I was looking forward to trying their flavours for vegetarians. So I gave it a shot as every cafe in Stockport was full and now I know why! I tried to download the qr code to order and it didn’t work and said ask the hostess. I waited as they were busy with other diners but after what felt like a long time decided to sack it. We’re supposed to be living in a digital age but in my experience nothing is set up correctly enough to use this technology. There are far too many fails and frustrations. So Zizzi we walked. I’d rather have a human being come to take my order and interact with me than this rubbish Qr code download.

Visited today with my daughter. Our waitress was a lovely, pleasant,helpful , girl named Natasha. She was so friendly and extremely helpful, I real asset to the restaurant , food was lovely. Will definitely be back.

We booked the resurant for7 pm on a Saturday night. We arrived, gave my name to the front of house when she came over and advised us to just hang on a minute. Off she went to clear the table, all fine.. When she returned she advised me that if we are going to be late in the future can we please advise them we are going to be late. I looked at my watch which stated 7.02 pm, to which I pointed out the time. I was a little bit taken back by this rude comment but we followed her to our table. The table was wet through. I had to ask the same person if we can have a cloth to wipe the excess of the table. Which she did. Sat there thinking about her comment about being late was really getting to me as it was 2 minutes past after she had to clean the table. When actually we were probably there bang on 7. I decided at this point, to leave as I wasn't going to enjoy the evening. I have never been before and chose this resurant as I had heard good reviews, but I will not return.

We are regular customers of Zizzi's having tried restaurants across the country. We've been to Red Rock before and had a lovely experience. Sadly this was not the case on this occasion. Albeit we got a friendly reception, the heating was broken so it was quite cold inside. We sat near the kitchen and ordered out food. Complimentary pasta crisps were given and the wine was served. We got one of our starters and despite asking twice to 2 different servers, we didn't get the other starter at all. We were just finishing our only starter when the mains arrived (we really needed them to be put on hold for 5 minutes) so we cancelled the missing starter completely. The food was hot and tasty enough but what spoilt the dinner moreso was the attitude of the manager towards staff. The poor kitchen staff were working their socks off but she was barking orders at them, showed very little respect and you sensed this was not a good place to ve working in. They were clearly understaffed and even then got things wrong serving-wise. We ordered 3 desserts which took a long time to arrive and as we'd booked a show afterwards, I asked for the bill as soon as desserts were served. It didn't come.and I.had to ask someone else for it. All in all, the food was nice enough but the service was poor and the experience impeded by a disrespectful manager causing an atmosphere for her staff.

We arrived to be told they had run out of dough so we couldn't order garlic bread or pizza. They also had no risottos, goats cheese, lasagne and a couple of other pasta dishes. The heating was also broken. We had booked a couple of hours earlier and not been told about any of this. We had theatre tickets so didn't have time to leave and go elsewhere. The pasta dishes we had were fine but we were given penne pasta not the cresta di gallo pasta it said on the menu. The only plus was when we asked for a drink on the house there was no argument. Will not be visiting again.

We called into Zizzi Stockport mid February to meet friends. The restaurant had no heating whatsoever and was freezing! the drinks and some of the food were undersized and missing certain ingredients. Customers should have been contacted to cancel bookings but this business was happy to have diners sit in an unheated restaurant. Staff were polite and apologetic enough but management need to address these shortfalls before we consider any return. Avoid!

Absolutely terrible service. The manager taking the order had an unbearable attitude and kept rolling her eyes because the order had to be repeated to confirm dietary requirements. Will not be visiting again!

Really enjoy going usually but previous times we booked got let down by Aircon being broke and also booked for valentine's and got told there was an hour wait for food. They were still taking delivero/Uber eats order though? Food is good but there planning doesn't seem to be very good.

The restaurant looks really nice, and the staff are very friendly, but I was disappointed. Firstly, it was really cold in there - such an easy thing to remedy, and I'm the type of person that's usually too hot, so god knows how others were feeling. The drinks came after the first course, and it probably took over an hour to get everything out - obviously OK if you're having a night out, but this is basically a posh pizza joint. It just came across as being under resourced.

Awful customer care. Main course did not arrive after 1 1/2 hour + wait. Did not appear bothered. When informed that we were leaving, no apology or attempt to make amends. Appalling.

It was very quiet when we visited for dinner before bowling, but the food was okay, and the service was quick and friendly.

Absolute joke, avoid. Kitchen staff and waiting staff are bad but to be honest I completely blame the mangers - couldn’t manage their way out of a paper bags!

Been here twice now, foods very good and the staff we've spoken to are very friendly. Last time we went they had ran out of mozzarella which wasn't ideal but had vegan cheese instead which was a pleasant experience. I do recommend.

Absolutely freezing, everyone had to wear coats and scarves. We asked if the heating could be turned up to have the waitress shrug her shoulders its winter and the windows are very big. The next waitresses attitude wasn’t good. I asked for a straw and she said ‘no straws”. There wasn’t any cutlery, I could only assume there was lack of staff washing up. An explanation would have helped. Some of the food wasn’t warm some of it was lovely. I sympathise if short staffed but explanations should be given plus complementary soft drink or some form of compensation as the service was really terrible. It was as if the staff didn't want to be there. We asked a couple of questions to be told”Ive never tried it myself so i wouldn’t know”. Not once did we feel welcome and not once did the staff provide a polite and thorough service

Every time I visit this restaurant it aways deliver excellent service. Food is always delicious and the quality never drops even on a busy day. Lovely place to go on a date or a social gathering with friends not too big with good vibes.

Arrived just after an afternoon rush and the place looked a tornado had blown through, staff tried their best, but it felt they were short of bodies, food was fine when it arrived. Will try again when it's quieter...

Booked in advance, turned up, was seated… then nothing! 15 minutes later, hadn’t had anybody come over, even to order a drink. Also noticed that nobody had any food in the whole restaurant, and somebody else went up to collect their own drink. QR code on the table for ‘speedy order and pay’, which said ‘table not recognised’ when scanned. And then, to cap things off, the staff started prioritising a Deliveroo order. We upped and left, don’t bother!

Love the food at Zizzi, but the staff here are appalling. Worst service ever - people were going up to the bar themselves or just walking out. Absolutely shocking. Staff prioritised Just Eat orders.... nobody else in the restaurant had any food or drinks. Bizarre behaviour.

Absolutely horrible place, they had only 3 dishes on the menu when I arrived and I prebooked my table one week earlier for 10 people, so they knew that we were coming to have dinner but instead of informing us that they had literally nothing on the menu they still took my booking. Why would you do that when you have nothing to offer. We left immediately upon arrival, so disappointing.

We were the first customers of the day (had tickets for a 1pm film) and the place hadn't been cleaned: there was food and rubbish all over the floor and the toilets were also unclean. Our son's choice of starter wasn't available. Then they said one of our pizzas was burnt so they would redo it. When they did, it wasn't properly cooked (the base was still dough) and we couldn't eat it. Then our son's dessert was unavailable and it took ages to get ice cream as an alternative. All in all a complete disaster. Not the waiting staff's fault but probably very bad management.

We were told we would have to order food on the app as the waitress was not allergy trained. The manager could only take allergy orders and he was doing things in the office. I commented that this wasn't ideal and then the manager found the time to come and take the order. Whilst we were there another group left due to poor service. I believe my dish was reheated in the microwave as the ravioli was dry at the edges. The other meals were all fine.

A pretty shambolic experience unfortunately. Arrived as table of 3 just after 2pm on a Sunday in December. There was only one poor chap running the front of house. He was very polite and attentive but the place had several empty tables with dirty plates on them (he did apologise). Also apparent that there was only one person on the kitchen. The place only had half a dozen tables occupied during the time that we dined. We only ordered mains (mozzarella pizza, kid's pizza and the special brisket+venison stufato Christmas special). These took over an hour to arrive to the table. The Brisket and Venison Stufato was actually very tasty. Meat fell apart, the potatoes were cooked well and tasted like decent Jersey Royals and the sauce had a great flavour. Pizzas are pizzas... struggle to go wrong with them. Have eaten here before but hasn't been this bad. Cannot take issue with the staff working on the day as they were clearly swamped and trying their best. Whoever manages this place and determines staffing levels should be ashamed.

Disappointed to be honest. We arrived and it was not very busy but the restaurant was cold so kept my cold for a while which did not help as it was a cold night. I was advised there no mushroom based sauce and no chips or potatoes other than sweet potato fries. So our choices were limited. My choice was then limited but went with Spaghetti with chorizo and pancetta and it was lovely I have to admit. We did not see the waitresses again so no be more drinks were offered to us. It took me 40 mins to. get the waitress over to ask for the desert menu and was told only got brownie or ice cream!!! £38 for 2 soft drinks and 2 spaghetti dishes which I know how expensive food is does seem on the dear side. However the food was nice but given the service and options I will not be rushing back/if at all. My friend said she went to Zizi at Trafford Centre and again limited on choice especially desert!

Party of 6 booked in for 530 still no food at 645 2 of our group had starters that’s it we had to leave as was going to a show at 730 told us they couldn’t serve us in time ridiculous hardly any one in there and it’s not as if we just turned out

Coat hanger would be good addition, instead of keeping coats and jackets on chairs. Also wobly table and chairs where we sat, have to keep it steady with the foot. Food wasn't bad.

Not a bad place, not crowded. The room is cozy and clean. The service is polite and fast. The kitchen did not have all the ingredients for the dish we ordered, but they offered us a replacement. Overall, I recommend it.

What can we say walked in with Jo booking we were accommodated immediately. Served very quickly the staff were extremely friendly service with a smile. The food was outstanding. We only go out a couple of times a yea. Couldn’t fault it ordered and the food was very fresh and hot. Would advise anyone to come and have a meal here!

We visited here on Tuesday and we had a delicious meal from starter, main to dessert and coffee it was so yummy The staff were so helpful, I will definitely going back 🥰👍

The pizza was bland, tasted like plastic and was freezing as it came out, The chicken and mushroom pasta had absolutely no taste and had to eat it with another persons dishes cheese which was the only nice thing about the meal, the dish with the cheese had zucchini fritters which had absolutely no zucchini in at all and was just batter in a pot. On the same dish the arancini was cold but again like the pasta tasted good with the melted cheese. There were 3 waiters on shift as we walked in to the restaurant and just before we ordered our starters one had finished his shift, for the rest of the night there were 2 waitresses. I can't believe the amount of things that were wrong, cold or just plain disgusting about the dishes or the way the staff had to run a restaurant there was tonight. Thank you to the waitress that took the pizza off of the bill and took all of our orders tonight, hope you enjoyed your tip xxxx

I pre booked this for 8 people for my birthday meal on a Saturday night. We ordered online using the QR code on the table, the system is difficult to use and makes it difficult to change anything in the dishes. It also won't send the order through to the kitchen until everyone at the table has placed their order and we ended up having to redo our orders 3 times because it wouldn't send it through. The starters arrived relatively quickly and were delicious, I would recommend the fondue. After this it went downhill, after almost 2 hours we finally got the mains for the table, one arrived with a hair in it, one arrived cold and another was missing some of the ingredients listed on the menu. All three were sent back, the staff were polite and helpful, the chef was made to put a hair net on and all three orders were remade. Once all the food arrived and in decent condition the food was actually really nice and I would definitely eat it again. After another hour a couple of desserts arrived but not all of them. We enquired where the rest were, 3 people had to reorder due to running out of cheesecake. The 3 reorder desserts were brought out but we were still missing 2, eventually after people had finished their food another dessert was brought out but the last one never arrived so we asked for it to be refunded. The whole thing was complete chaos, it took us 3 hours to get through the meal and so many things went wrong. The reason that the review isn't lower is due to the staff that were there, the server we had couldn't have been more helpful and apologetic, she explained to us that only 1 chef had been put on a Saturday night shift. The food when it was actually hot and when it eventually arrived was actually delicious. What was even more annoying is that the deliveroo orders seemed to be going out with some speed while the people sat in the restaurant were ignored. There were quite a few tables of people who didn't look impressed. My issues are not with the staff that were on shift, both my husband and I have worked in food service jobs so we understand, they were clearly overwhelmed and doing their best. There were nowhere near enough staff for a Saturday night, especially knowing there was a table of 8 people booked in. The whole system needs improvement, next time I'll just stay at home and order, cheaper and quicker by the look of it.

Visit here quite often and the food is always lovely espevially the kids menus which are reasonably priced. However last couple of times there has been some issues with staffing. Too much waiting around when your just wanting to nip in for some lunch. My little girl is only 5 and she was so bored & restless by the time the food came out that she didnt even want a dessert after. Other tables also rolling their eyes and complaining about the waiting times. The waitress was plesant despite being very ran off her feet.

We went here, before the cinema. Starters came after 45 mins (even though the restaurant wasn’t busy) we cancelled the mains, as we would be late for the cinema. Food was inedible and over cooked and cold. Felt they prioritised the takeaway service and were short staffed. Sent email over to express our disappointment. Had I have not been in a hurry to get to the cinema (which we gave ourselves 1 hour and 20 mins in the restaurant) I wouldn’t have paid. Had no positive response. I would not waste my time or money in this restaurant.

Came to Zizi’s tonight for a meal. Looked short staff from the get go however both ladies serving were lovely. There was a slight wait on drinks but completely understandable due to the girls clearly being short staffed (we had been informed there would be a slight wait for food). After ordering and waiting for over an hour we were informed the chef had walked out due to noticeably a busy busy restaurant and one chef, we weren’t able to have our food. Extremely disappointed as we wouldn’t have ordered drinks in the first place knowing we weren’t to get our meal. We felt extremely sorry for the poor girls serving as they were let down by management and the franchise to face that situation. They handled the situation extremely well and credit to both of them. Really disappointing. Won’t be returning

Staff were nice enough but not enough of them to provide good service. Pizzas were edible but a bit stingy with the toppings. We've been to a few Zizi's over the years and and the food is normally better. Over all, a bit disappointed.

Went for evening meal on Friday and was told there was a half hour wait for a table, the place was empty except for around five tables. Waited 25 mins then asked how long and the guy said tables were still being laid that we had watched being set up. Decided to leave at that point and got fantastic service at the Pizza Express next door.

Service was terrible. When we complained that others had been served before us we were told that's because we had a starter - which happened to be a few olives. Went because I had a free Birthday main but code did not work . Won't be going back.
