Very disappointed, took nearly 2 hours all in to get our orders, constantly asking for service for drinks, food didn't fresh. I wont be going again

Really great experience, didn’t book and got a table last minute for an early Friday dinner. Service was very attentive. Good atmosphere, mix of families, kids, couples. Delicious food. 100% recommend.

Ate here recently and the service was so poor. The food took over an hour to arrive and the grumpy waitress could not even offer a simple apology. All she had to say was "sorry for the long wait" and it would have made things better. It's a shame, because the pasta was decent, but I would not visit Bellini's again due to the service.

Best local Italian in the area. Can’t fault the food, we’ve visited many times and tried different dishes, all beautifully fresh, perfectly cooked and delicious. Serving staff attentive and there is a nice buzz about the place. Highly recommend.

Just been tonight for a long time ,food and service fantastic

My colleague selected the restaurant and it was a nice place to be, the service and the food were ok, the pizzas bases were too dry for me, but the toppings were fine. Its very difficult to judge this restaurant on the visit as we only scratched the surface of its menu, the pizzas were nice, but not as good as my local Italian restaurant. Would I go back, yes.

First time here just got back off holiday wanted somewhere to eat that catered for gluten free was not disappointed had cheesy gb and pasta which was excellent very tasty will def be back and highly recommend think this could be the holiday local 😋

£125 for 4 people and 3 drinks each, 2 garlic bread to strat and pasta and pizza. Drinks are about £8 each, so have water if having a cheap night. Nice food, paster better option than pizza.

We stumbled across it as we are moving to Cheadle and wanted to explore. We were THOROUGHLY impressed. We both shared the ribs to start followed by chicken fungi and the pulled beef pasta. Both were delicious. We can’t wait to come back and bring our family and friends

The food was outstanding as usual, the fish dishes are so fresh, I’d definitely recommend a visit here! Friendly staff who are very attentive. Lunchtime can be very quiet, which does mean a lack of atmosphere. The evening sitting is buzzing and lively with a nice crowd of people.. but ensure you make a booking in advance. it’s hard to fault the food here, a good choice of desserts to choose from and extensive wine list.

Squashed up on a table big enough for 8-9 people but for a party of ten. Knees & elbows touching. Service was shocking. Not only did the waitresses not offer the correct food to the table from the kitchen but also waited around 25 minutes for drinks. Waitress walked away to another table when ordering starters only to miss out one persons order - which then ended up coming late to the table. Roast potatoes were black. Waitresses were lovely but had no idea what system they were following. Will never return.

Slightly slower service today than normal, but I'm sure it was just a blip. Food and atmosphere were excellent.

Wow! Always fantastic food and atmosphere and great service. The food can sometimes take a while to come when they're very busy but it's worth wait and is obviously cooked fresh ( I'm only adding this comment as some people have complained about it on other reviews, but freshly prepared food made with care can take a bit longer to arrive but its always supurb) this time we had pate to start ( best I've ever had, hone made as well!) I had prawn pasta which was sublime! Loads of plump fresh prawns and lovely tomato sauce, again really fresh tasting! Hubby had carbonara, made properly with egg yolks not cream! And really smokey and crispy pancetta. To be honest, everything we have eaten there is wonderful! Great staff as well, always very friendly and a lovely family run feeling to the place.

Always lovely food with great service

Went with my mum and sister and they were accommodating with changing times. The food was absolutely stunning. 3 different pastas, garlic bread and two desserts and everything was delicious. Staff were lovely too. Will 100% be back and recommending. Thanks guys!

From the moment I walked in, the experience at Bellini Italian restaurant in Cheadle was nothing short of astonishing. The attention to detail in using fresh ingredients shone through every dish. The staff's warmth and hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment. Without a doubt, this gem stands out, quite possibly claiming the title of the best Italian dining experience in Manchester.

We booked a table for 5 for my stepfathers 65th Birthday. I had gone earlier in the day and asked if a balloon could be put on the table. When we arrived the balloon was just sat by the door and I had to carry the balloon myself to the table which defeated the whole point of me going early to make sure it was out ready as part of a surprise. The table was booked for 7.30pm, drinks and food orders were taken instantly. Took an hour and 10 minutes for the starters to arrive which then came in dribs and drabs. The garlic pizza bread was burnt on the underneath and a steak knife was needed to attempt to cut throught it. Another 50 minutes passed before our mains arrived, on the run up to that we asked how long it would be for the food to arrive and we just kept being told as quick as we can. There was only 1 chef with 2 assistants - the restaurant itself was too busy for the 2 waitresses to attend. A table close to us had been up a few times to ask where their food was and was overheard saying tonight has been a disaster. My Stepfather ordered steak in peppercorn sauce and the sauce itself was too salty (really salty) it was sent back to the kitchen and the chef tasted it and acted as if everything was ok. There was no apology whatsover. I myself had ordered steak in a different sauce which was actually really nice however the veg that accompanied consisted of dried out carrots, a spoon of red cabbage and what looked like 4 aunt Bessies Roast potatos shoved in a bowl. Considering the steak was £29.00 there was no presentation whatsover. I can honestly say it was one of the worst dining experiences we have had as a family. We used to come regularly when Mario and his wife ran the restaurant, everything ran like clockwork and there was always pleasantries and nothing was too much trouble.

We went here last night as a family of seven, we arrived and were seated quite quickly the place looked nice but we found the seating was quite tight so we were banging arms with each other, we waited half an hour before the lady came to order drinks, only to find out there was no hot drinks which was a bit poor so we had the three pound odd small bottle of coke, we then waited half an hour to order our food only to find out half of the starters were out of stock too, we found the waitress difficult to understand which meant we were saying pardon a lot maybe 15 times just in ordering, by the time the food arrived which was the quickest time in the process the place was closed and there was just us in there while everywhere was getting tidied up, regards the food we really enjoyed the food it was fresh and very tasty, nice and hot too, with better service and availability this would have been a four star rating, if the ladies could smile and not leave us feeling rushed off it would have been a five star rating.

Nice restaurant but the food wasn't as good as expected. Bruschetta was wuite bland, the bottom of the pizza was all burnt and spag bol didn't have much flavour. The waitess taking the order kept bending over in front of the guys (wasn't addressing the women) giving full view down her already very overly unbuttoned shirt. This was awkward sat with my partner. Price was decent.

Can't review food as we didn't stop . Ordered drinks from menu but 2 prices for drinks on each menu sort it out you can't have 2 prices and you charge the dearest not good is it . Won't be going there .

Consistently lovely food and great service

First visit to Bellinis. We came for lunch and used the lunch menu; 2 courses for £10. Great service, great food and incredible value! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The waiter was attentive yet gave us space to enjoy our food without intrusion. We’ll be back!

Fantastic place to eat. Staff were super friendly and helpful with our 1 year old. Food was amazing and authentic. An absolute must if you want good Italian food

Very good dining experience here. I enjoyed a starter of deep fried squid, aubergine, white bait and prawns with a tartare sauce, followed by a juicy, medium-rare, rib-eye steak with a genovese sauce, hand made fired and seasonal vegetables. The staff were pleasant, courteous and polite and attended to us at all the right times. The wait from starter to mains was perfectly timed and there was a nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Booked a table for 8pm but didn't get our food until 9.30pm! The place was clearly overrun, too many tables booked at once with lots of other hungry looking customers. The service was unapologetic and rude. We couldn't wait to leave. The only saving grace was the food.

Booked for 12 and they put one on a separate table behind us! We eventually squeezed her in at the end of the table. We ordered 2 fillet steaks both medium rare one was well done and one bled all over the plate as cooked very rare. My sons meal ( a calzone) he cut into to and it was full of bits of tin foil and labels!!!!! When he told staff she took it away and came back with a plastic container with food wrap in foil instead and said “ it’s ok it was only off the food where he scooped it out of the container to cook!!! So rude they didn’t care!! It was my son’s birthday and he ended up with no meal! Very very disappointed with Bellinis. We eat out several times a week but this is one place we will never return to. Lovely place but terrible dinning experience.

went into bellinis for my dads birthday, booked a table for 12 people they only gave us 11 seats and made 2 of us sit on a separate table. until they needed the table for another customer so moved a chair onto the end of our table which we asked to do in the first place. not only did we wait over 1hour for our starters we waited a further 45mins for our mains. We ordered drinks that never came to the table after asking a staff member for the second time. they said they would go and check and never came back. My dad ordered a calzone and it came with tinfoil inside of it! not only did we complain but the staff member came back to the table with a pot covered in tin foil with cheese in and said “i’m sorry about that but because they scrape it out of here this is where the tin foil has come from”. My dad went home with no food for his birthday! the worst meal i have ever been too! As we were paying separate for the bills they had to re ask us what we had even ordered. mixed up all the bills, charging extra, the staff are rude and arrogant. disgusting customer service! Me and My Family will never be coming back here, we had high hopes as we have seen many people go inside but was wrong. The food was awful, most of us left over half of our food. the chip portions are ridiculously small not even a handful of chips. Never going back!

First visit. Will write more next time. Food was lovely (photos posted). Service was a little slow (observation, not a complaint). This MAY be down young and new staff?? There were a few birthday parties that wouldn't have helped. Service from the more mature or experienced staff was brilliant. Very helpful and humorous. Will return.

Was part of a large group birthday celebration, waited a good while to be seated then only received a drink an hour later .Main course served just after 9.30 for a 7.30 booking .Food was average in flavour .Gluten free option was honoured, but service wasn't up to scratch . Wouldn't eat there again .

Very nice place, I booked a table for 5 for 5pm and I'm glad I did as it got very busy very quickly but never felt rushed to finish and get out like some people have said. Nice food Home cooked, me and my wife will be back to try more dishes..enjoy my photos.

Currently writing this review as I am so bored sat in here. Had our starters, garlic bread in plain, cheese and tomato and they were lovely - however service is very very slow we have been here almost two hours and only just eaten our starters. The place is very busy and loud, they are turning tables out but neglecting tables already seated. Staff are ok not very friendly but not horrible either. Would recommend going at off peak hours. Edit - Main course eventually arrived and it was lovely just a shame about the service.

Such a shame. The food, once it eventually arrived, was top tier. But sadly I would not come back. The time it took to arrive was appaling and certainly the longest I have waited for a meal in a long time. To wait upwards of an hour for even the starters to arrive is dreadful, and another age on top of that for the main course is also bad. We even waited at least 30 mins to even be served once we had sat down. Ontop of this, the staff seem miserable and didnt give a friendly demenor at all, putting a damper on the night. The staff also did not communicate between each other, despite our requests. It is such as shame because the food was lovely, but for the time it took to come or even be served, i wouldnt bother coming

The staff should be ashamed of themselves for how incredibly rude they are. The food wad OK when it eventually arrived... 2 hours after we ordered. No apology, no explanation not even a smile!

We came for a meal for my brother’s birthday, the table was booked to include 2 babies. We arrived at half 5 and waited 1 hour 15 minutes for our food. No apology was made during this time, and when we asked the woman who we presumed was the manager she never came back over to let us know how long we would be waiting. When we asked for the bill we told the waitress we were disappointed with the service we had received, she went back to speak to the manager but came back by herself and said the manager was too busy in the kitchen to speak to us! The food was nice, it was a shame that the poor service let the place done. We won’t be returning!

Staff are so rude! Young girl had the worst attitude. She rolled her eyes, swearing infront of us and also lied about our food being cooked! Refused to give us a refund for the food that had not been cooked. Would never go back here again absolutely disgusting service from all the staff! Don’t waste your money!

Really fantastic! Recently been a few times with my parents for lunch on a couple of Friday's and received excellent service and amazing food. This is my go-to Italian in Manchester and I live in the City Centre, where there's lots to choose from. The meatballs in-particular are incredible! A must try. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately this is the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. The food was quite average (which is ok for the price) but to be waiting 1hr 45min for a pizza and pasta dish on a wednesday is a DISGRACE! If I wasn't there for a family meal, I would have walked out. Beyond the slow food even worse was the extremely slow drinks service - THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO WAIT 25 MIN FOR A PINT AND A COKE. after waiting 20 minutes for our drinks I actually looked around and every single table had every single drink empty. Total meal time: arrived at 7.15 ten min to order drinks 25 min wait for drinks another 20 min for a garlic bread and an hour after that for a main of pizza and pasta. I would strongly advise people to avoid this restaurant - there are some lovely restaurants either side - Janna and Istanbul Grill, and if you are really wanting italian go to pizza express just down the road. I normally try and support family run and independant businesses but this was beyond a joke. I know one of the chefs Luka was not on shift tonight who we normally ask after as he is a family friend PLEASE SORT YOUR RESTAURANT OUT! It was terrible tonight.

3 times we have been now since moving to Cheadle 4 months ago! Superb food, excellent service! Wine is amazing! Italian food is a favourite in our house! It’s our new go to place! Very reasonably priced as well. 😁🍷

Went for birthday 🎂 meal. Gave ourselves what we thought was plenty of time before it closed. Went 9.00 but 10.30 soon came around. Would be better open till 11.00. Food was very good. All enjoying what ordered. Special board worth looking at but by 9pm had run out of some specials. Would go again as not disappointed. Staff pleasant. Shared garlic dough balls, ribs and bread as starters. Lasagne and meat balls and chips shared as mains. Pistachio ice cream is lovely for dessert 🍨. Enjoy y'all out there now!...

A suprise as some people wrote not good things, well, have the Pillow funghi, stuffed with sweet sun-dried tomatoes and spinach ricotta, served with choice 2 side dishes, washed down with couple chilled blush pinot grigio,,very very satisfied! Natalie was very helpful n even stayed behind a bit whilst we chatted, Definitely my new eating place!

Never Again! I waited 45min just to get to the starters then another 20min for the main course. Just to eat food that is decent at best. What annoyed me most is the waitresses that kept going in the kitchen and leaving without the food like they were trying to tease me. Every time they left the kitchen I get a glimpse into of hope just for it to be shattered by their empty hands. When the food finally did come, it tasted like normal food you can make at home in just 20min. One thing is for sure, I will never come anywhere near this pathetic restaurant again!

Extremely noisy, overly busy, mediocre food. Asked for 2 linguine meals and got spaghetti! We forgot the anniversary balloons as rushing out for taxi, called for them the next day but they'd popped them! They had our number, they could have asked! Not impressed, would not go again!!!

Service a bit slow. Took over 40mins just for simple starters..Food.. pizza was tough and burnt. Not something I'd order again. Seabass was cooked well but not very tasty, lacking flavour considering the price charged

First time visiting Bellini’s - waited over 45 minutes for mains to be served, everyone else who came in after us had eaten and left by the time we got our food. When food arrived I had a hair in my pasta. Didn’t make a big deal over it at the time however would like to highlight this so it doesn’t happen again

Great food spoilt by very poor customer service. We had to wait over 40 minutes for 3 main meals without starters. People who arrived after us were served before us. When I spoke with a man who appeared to be the manager he didn't even apologise,merely shrugging his shoulders,muttered under his breath and walked off towards the kitchen. On leaving he never apologised despite my looking him straight in the eye. Maybe there is a Wednesday Club that I just wasn't part of. All a bit cliquey and to be honest,rude. I wont be going again. A fact I'm sure Bellinis won't give 2 hoots about.

We booked a table for 10 from walking in we met at the bar and had really nice drinks to start with We then got led to our table form here the evening continued to flow the food was excellent so was the service weve now been a few times and we look forward to our next visit cheers.👍😋🍺

Popped in on the off chance we could get a table and luckily we did and what an amazing night we’ve had the service was amazing the food was out of this world if you want real good Italian food this is definitely the place to come in Stockport best Italian I’ve eaten for a long time. We liked it that much we booked a table for another night.

A good place for a go to Italian restaurant. Delicious food is made with fresh ingredients and reasonable prices to boot. The ambience is family orientated where on the weekends it is busy. In saying that expect to have a slight delay in getting your food. But the wait is worth it. 👌

I have been using this restaurant ever since it was called Tarantella. Party of 10 Saturday night,excellent service very friendly and welcoming staff. Food is excellent and the surroundings are very comfortable. The head bar tender was outstanding and he speaks fluent Italian. Never ever fails. Definitely recommend. I will continue to use this excellent restaurant. Thank you to all the staff. And a special thank you to the excellent chef in the background for his experience and creativity. Well done to you all.

Good food, decent prices, friendly service. The main course did take a little long during Friday evening dinner hours. Appetizers came out quick.
