Zizzi - Richmond in Richmond upon Thames

The new Wagu pizza is Meh..... very little flavour and I got a cold ball of mozzarella 2 in 2 halves, not burrata like on the menu. It's just tasteless and not worth the money.

Didn't enjoy our meal despite the great location. Food was slow, one dish didn't arrive at all,even though they were reminded twice. It arrived as we were leaving, but at least they didn't charge us for it. In my opinion overpriced and underwhelming. We won't be going back.

I have spent £700+ in Brindisa this year. When I had lunch today and discovered a now mini portion of Juevos Rotos with just one egg I was stunned. This is absolute profiteering. We recognise the rather excessive service charge but accept that because service is good. If the eggs in one dish diminish by 50% what is happening to the remaining dishes. I may not bother to visit to find out.

Very good Tapa's, service okay. Very expensive, we had a glass of wine each water, just a few Tapa's, very expendive at 55 quid each

Unfortunately zizzi's Richmond has drastically gone down hill. This used to be my go to place for a quick meal with the family. I ordered spaghetti carbonara & a pizza for my son and waited almost an hour, when our meal eventually arrived the pasta was cold and for what ever reason the spaghetti was cut in half literally! The real issue for me is that Zizzi seems to prioritise Uber eats / deliveroo orders over paying customers. Our whole dinning experience was awful especially when you have the delivery guys hanging around (on this occasion there was 5 Uber eats/deliveroo's waiting for orders with their helmets on talking and laughing!!! If senior management ever reads these reviews, you really need to sort this aspect of your business out because quite frankly it's totally unacceptable. Sadly I will not eating here ever again

The food is delicious. The team is attentive and friendly. We will be back soon to try some of the dishes we did not have this time.

Food prices are ridiculous for the portions of tapas that you receive! £8+ for 2 x approx maybe 10cm pieces of bread 🥖 Patatas Bravas were approx 8 potatoes 1/8ths! So 1 potato cut up @ £8+

We visit here often with our dog Guapa. The staff are amazing. It’s always great fun.

Excellent location, but if you know and love honest tapas, beware.... > Missing tapas staples albóndigas (meat balls), calamares (squid), berenjenas (aubergine). > Tortilla and Empanada de atún (special) were unexpectedly served cold. > Meagre portions - needed a cheese sandwich when we got home. > Expensive wine list. > Poorly trained / managed staff: food before wine; wrong food order; wrong wine order. > Good apology skills from new manager Rebecca, who gave us a reasonable discount. Let's hope she turns around this opportunity to delight.

I've been to a few Brindisa's before BUT have to say this one really stands out - the friendliness, knowledge and professionalism of the staff was at least 11/10. I came for the Calçotada festival (been trying to book for years) and it was above expectations. Huge amounts of fun (and wine) (and calçots). An exceptional dinner, thank you Brindisa Richmond

i went with a friend after visiting Richmond Theatre on 7th February 2024.We both had seabass and vegetables. it was presented full of oil. There was very little flavour but we just could not eat it owing to the the texture and oil content. At £17 plus this is a disgrace. I make the dish at home very easily. with the ingredients its quick and lovely. you don't have to be a chef so I do not know what your chef was doing to have made such a poor meal...there were only 5 people in the restaurant. I have had similar experiences in the past. I had one good experience 8 years ago and always thought I was on " a bad day "after this but know now that the food quality is very poor. you need to get your " act together". i cant imaging why anyone would want to go to Zizzi Richmond.

Overall: ★★★★☆ A small chain of Spanish tapas restaurants. This branch in Richmond is set slightly back from Thames with some great views. A lovely clean entrance and warm friendly reception. A nice, less expensive dining experience than its neighbour Scott’s and probably one of the nicer places to eat in Richmond. Food: Spanish tapas What I liked: • The Halibut - one of the best I’ve had • Sally Clarke’s bread! • The dessert flan was great • Good service • Nice, clean and inviting atmosphere • Open kitchen What I didn’t like: • Would like to have had more fish and vegetarian options • Not sure about the shared ‘facilities’ but I accept this is subjective • More wines by the glass world be nice. Outstanding food! Amazing atmosphere and lovely views. The welcoming hostess was lovely and so was our waiter. Definitely recommend!

The food was alright, but the service was so poor and the manager was rude that I couldn't leave a higher review. As some people had allergies the manager was supposed to take the order. The manager behaved really strangely when taking the order .We felt quite uncomfortable at that point.Not going back again.

I thought everything about my visit was first class. The food was wonderful, freshly cooked and delicious. My companion was a little difficult, but the staff were charming and considerate. The setting is delightful too, very close to the river.

Beautiful tapas restaurant by the Thames in quaint neighbourhood in Richmond. There were good selections of various tapas which were tasty & flavourful. My favourite was the gambas al ajillo, the beef and the rack of lamb. The drink menu was also extensive. Everything was excellent from food, ambience to service quality. We were a group of more than 10 people & the only downside was the lack of comfortable space as we were cramped into a L-shaped table at a corner.

Service was great. Food was pretty good. We did explain that my husband was gluten free and they seemed to be very attentive. However, he started not feeling well afterwards. I think it may have been the pork belly dish. The server had forgotten to put that order in and then a new server took over and I think they forgot to make it GF. We should have verified when it was brought out. I think we just assumed since they were on top of everything else. So we accept part of the responsibility on that. Otherwise, we had a nice experience.

I’ve been to Tapas Brindisa many times over the months, and always loved the food and drinks. Unfortunately, not this time. The staff members were on edge, seems like there’s been a lot of arguing going on. Waiters and waitresses weren’t focused or welcoming at all. I’m not sure I’ll be coming back. If anything I would choose to travel all the way to King’s Cross branch for the good experience. What a shame…

Food amazing, wine spectacular, and the environment super smooth. I came with my parents whilst enjoying a lovely walk around Richmond. Our waiter was Aridane, and he was super professional and friendly. It felt like we were visiting his house back in Spain. Will definitely come back!

We visit this venue 4 or 5 times a year (and last reviewed it just before first Covid lockdown). Latest experience was on Xmas eve. Service was friendly (as always) but inattentive and glacially slow, with priority being given to the seemingly constant flow of takeaway orders. Pizzas, while still tasty, were subtlety smaller with less generous toppings than on recent previous occasions. This has hitherto been out go-to pizzeria in Richmond, but we’ll be considering alternatives from now on.

Broken eggs (sliced ​​fried potatoes) were not up to par, the clams in Verde sauce were very good, the xuleta did not have much of a Galician blonde flavor, it probably wasn't and they can't deny it, the cheesecake was a total disappointment, it looked like a Poorly made flan, 0 cheese flavor, the amount of cheese in the cake is minimal and they cannot deny it. Correct and fast service that is why quality is lacking for the price.

It was amazing experience the food and staff was great. The only problem was a table next to us screaming at the staff, which was sad to see people treat others in that manner, especially on Christmas Eve. The staff did their best to satisfy all customers and didn’t deserve to be shouted at, which nearly ruined my experience. Would recommend it to anyone good food and good view of the river.

The good part is the restaurant is pleasant clean and smart. Unfortunately the pizza was thin beyond belief even for a Rustica which I have had many times before. In fact it resembled cardboard.

I came with friends for a Christmas lunch and we had a fabulous time. The entire team was of a great care for our annual gathering, they definitely made us feel special. The food was incredibly tasty, particularly the beetroot side and the solomillo. Delicious!

Wine was good, tortilla below average and aioli wasn't an aioli. But I heard good things about brindisa so if you have cash i am sure your experience will be better.

Loved it! Popped in for a bottle of water, ended up with Wine & Tapas on the terrace in the glorious Autumn sunshine watching the world go by.....

Delicious food, good value and nice, cosy atmosphere. Friendly staff too. Highly recommend the caramelised onion garlic bread! Rainbow lasagne was very tasty. Would have been nice to have come with a side salad or other accompaniment, as it looked a bit lost and just needed that little something else. Same with my partner’s meat lasagne. Rosé wine was delicious! Thank you for a lovely evening.

It's a nice place with decent food and service. A touch expensive for a working lunch but for an occasional Friday lunch or dinner it's fine. Nice location but it gets seriously busy outside in the summer.

I went for lunch last Saturday and despite the busy time we had a great time. The food was very tasty, particularly the Solomillo and the service was lovely. We will definitely come back soon and recommend it to our friends and family.

Disappointing! There is a lack of service, need to ask twice, 3 times for the same food! Drinks warming at bar, need to ask twice to be served! Food is below average, being very modest. I’ve never saw in my life Tortilla served cold, not fresh cooked, but frozen! Will never come back!

I had the tortilla and croquettes, it felt like it was very authentic. One pointer is that when I was in Madrid, the tortilla was not cooked through like it was in this restaurant- therefore I believe this dish is over cooked. Nevertheless, the flavors were great and the wine selection is very Spanish. The view is very peaceful and there’s plenty of shade to sit beneath.

I'm not convinced. I get that everything is pricey these days, but this just felt a bit off! £12 for Chorizo, which was one regular sized sausage on some bean paste. Prawns, tastes great, but still £12 for 5 prawns in oil. Waitress seemed apathetic when we asked for guidance, long shift maybe. It's hard to justify going back, as nice as things taste, just because value for money isn't great and there are a lot of options out there.

Food is good but the service wasn’t great unfortunately! Got seated as a group of 5 but waited 20 minutes to even receive menus. Waitress didn’t want to be there and when we asked for a manager they didn’t even come to speak with us. They also forgot some of the dishes we ordered. Such a shame!

The food is very good but last time I went, they brought all the dishes at once and just a few minutes after ordering, which really impacted the overall experience. We knew all dishes were already made, there was no more space at all on the table and they kept coming with new dishes and basically after 20 min we were done eating. Please take it into consideration because I love your restaurant and want to come back!!

One of the worst meals of my life. Disgusting, inedible food. Sea bass - small portions, vegetables cold, fish tasteless and greasy. Belly pork - hard, dried meat. Chicken pizza - not much topping, requito peppers replaced by ordinary chillies. Pepperoni pizza - not "triple covered" with pepperoni, barely enough to count as one portion. Side order of bread expensive, and chips could have come from McDonalds! We complained and got 3 mains taken off the bill, but with overpriced drinks the bill still came to £75, so they probably still made a profit. No apology from the manager, just excuses. The young waiter did say "sorry", (bless him). I expected better from Richmond, and had a much better meal at Zizzi in Winchester. Just avoid this place!

Delicious food with heaters outsides. Waiter Diego was very helpful and friendly.

We tried here for the first time, we fancied some light bites. We ordered some tapas plates, the manchego cheese which was so delicious with a spiced oil and almonds which was EXCELLENT, the Padron peppers, some stuffed olives and patatas bravas. We could have easily eaten a plate of the patatas each, best I’ve ever had even in Spain. We also had the pan con tomate which was so flavoursome. A tad disappointed that they couldn’t make us or even check if it was possible to do sangria without strawberries as I’m allergic as we really fancied a jug. But that was a minor detail. They forgot to add the patatas to our main order but they came very quickly and they gave us them on the house without any hesitation. Staff were all very friendly and charming, will definitely go back soon.

Ordered takeaway last night. What a disappointment. Ordered a large calamari. There were about 5 pieces in the bag. How is that £15? My pizza had a hole in the middle. The garlic bread was one fat dough ball, barely any cheese, may be two drops of balsamic onion, and burnt at the top. The only thing that was good was the pasta. Well done to the pasta chef. Everything else was just so disappointing, I wouldn't order from there again.

Been with my friends and got really good experience

We came here for Sunday lunch. It wa the only Brindisa restaurant that I had not visited before and, like the others, it had some unique dishes. Some tables overlook the river and have a great view. The food is great.

This place in my personal and humble opinion is a must to visit!! Amazing location, unique interior and oh, the cleanness! I firstly, visited the place this Thursday ( 03/08/2023) for some late night drinks after dinner in a nearby restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The so welcoming and kind service by Roberta and Luis definitely left a wish for me to return, ( please kindly note that all staff are kind and genuine, sadly, I cannot remember all names :P )! Thank you, all! I hope your management is aware of how genuinely wonderful staff they have :) Guess, what... I returned next day, the Friday ( 04/08/2023) for late lunch and I confirm that food is super tasty and it is Definitely value for money. We had Spanish cava, complimentary bread with tasty melted butter seasoned with sea salt, I had fish and my Godmother went for the Spanish dish with fried potatoes and eggs. I do apologies, but I do not remember the dishes' Spanish names... ;) I have two more weeks in the UK, but do I return there, most definitely yes! Consider my advice, as a local that has visited many restaurants in Richmond : ) Tapas Brinsdisa is a lovely restaurant! Gracias :)

Excellent food, every dish was special. We had the croquetas, fried goats cheese dish, broccoli and stilton, and the fantastic Chorizo. Very good Cava Sangria too

Bad overall. Mostly for service which was unbelievably slow. Average tapas, average prices. The croquetas were quite good, but other than that nothing stood out. Wouldn't warrant a revisit particularly given the ample choice of good pubs nearby.

You do need to book especially if it’s a sunny night. Staff are amazing and have a great allergy menu. Attached a few photos of it. Lovely on a nice evening, busker singing people out on the riverside.

Came here after the England v Fiji rugby friendly at Twickenham. We were walk-ins - we were really lucky too, the waitress was able to find us a table - Brindisa was busy! Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and responsive. Food was good, especially the garlic prawns. Facilities clean and well maintained. Location is picturesque - it's by the river and very pretty. We ordered: Croquettes Patatas bravas Arroz negro Gambas as ajillo Monte enebro All plates finished! Recommended!

The food was tasty and good quality when it eventually arrived. First few dishes came out promptly, but then there were periods of 20-30 minutes between finishing some dishes and waiting for others to arrive. We had to inform staff 3 separate times that we were missing some items. Eventually, 2.5 hours later, we gave up and asked for the bill and had to ask for some things to be removed from it.

Love this restaurant. 2nd time we’ve been there. Sat outside with the dog on a lovely sunny Weds afternoon for a late lunch. Food lovely and great service.

Well located dinner spot in Richmond which the kids and I have visited many times over the years. Lovely menu and one outstanding member of staff, Roland who consistently looks after us and always makes us feel incredibly welcome. He is so professional and kind it's a real driving force for us returning each and every time. Great place, great staff and delicious food!

Location, service and atmosphere were good. Food was okay. We ordered grilled chicken, tenderstem broccoli, a salad and garlic shrimp. Salad was disappointing, broccoli and grilled chicken were okay and their garlic shrimp (Gambas Al Ajillo) was banging! The portions were a bit too small for the price and they recommend ordering 2-3 dishes per person. If I ever go there again, I'll be ordering 2 portions of Gambas Al Ajillo with bread only

The food was alright, but the service was so poor and rude that I genuinely couldn't leave a higher review. Our waiter was quite pushy, and behaved really strangely when collecting the bill. We felt quite uncomfortable at that point. Before we collected the bill, my partner felt the need to use a women's sanitary product, she went to the local store (Literally round the corner) to get one and we waited inside the restaurant. She returned and myself and her father waited outside. SHE WAS THEN CHASED BY THE MANAGER UP THE STAIRS ORDERING HER TO LEAVE. This is not acceptable. She was eventually allowed to use the toilet but left the restaurant in floods of tears as the manager would not believe she had just eaten there. Sorry to the kitchen team who did their job, but I cannot support this kind of conduct.

Our second meal at Brindisa, having enjoyed the previous experience when we visited Richmond last year (from South Africa). The setting, overlooking the Thames and Richmond Bridge, bathed in the glow of streetlights on this Saturday evening was utterly captivating - reminiscent of a scene from a movie. It was fully booked- a testament to its popularity and the patrons appeared to be enjoying themselves. Service was attentive. Our waitress was charming and efficient. The four of us chose a variety of plates to share. The selection of tapas arrived promptly - a visual delight and an explosion of tastes and textures. The chefs take relatively ordinary ingredients combining flavours and techniques to surprise the palate with their Spanish influenced creations. Pricing is at the upper end of the scale but dining here is a delightful experience for a special occasion.

We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff charming, unfazed & attentive without hovering. Most of our food selection was quite delightful & met our expectations. The only item that was rather disappointing was the tortilla, which was tepid & lacking flavour.

The quality was excellent as always but I'm giving it a 3 star because the dish I wanted wasn't available; the desert I wanted wasn't available; the kids menu chicken option my granddaughter wanted wasn't available. And we were there just after noon, when they had just opened. It was also very cold due to strong air conditioner.

We had dinner at Brindisa beginning of July and the food was fabulous! It tasted so good I wanted to return to the restaurant asap. Service was a bit slow, so more training could be provided to staff. Having said that the place had a nice vibe so we had a good evening nonetheless

The polo al limon with Patatas Bravas were perfect. So was the Gambas Al Ajilio. We will be back.

I loved. Wonderful food. Service is attentive and doesn't rush orders. We felt at ease, as if we were at home.

Food is delicious and good quality, but a little over use of salt across all dishes we tried. We tried Oysters, gambas, huevos rotos, chorizo padron peppers, but unfortunately they had run out of the razor clams and Boquerones. Service is slow, and our main server was on the clueless end of the spectrum. All in all we had 4 different servers who brought food, took orders, brought drinks and didn't clear away the empty dishes. Also they didn't communicate with each other. Our little table ended up with stacked plates and clutter.

Consistently good food, service is less consistent but decent. The chicken with the lemon and olives is definitely my favourite - it’s succulent and well flavoured with a crispy skin. Con tomato is also delicious. Would recommend the grilled asparagus.

Brindisa is the best place in Richmond for food and drinks. The staff are always highly attentive and the atmosphere always lively. Most recently we were at one of their monthly supper club events (Cantabria theme) and it was fantastic. Roberto always makes everyone feel welcome and valued - whether popping in for a quick drink or having a full evening out.

Restaurant on the hill by the river. Last minute so sat at the bar. Bartender was awesome and food was very good.

I, my husband, and his Spanish family were there to enjoy our traditional food however most of the tapas aren't tasty, unfortunately. However, their wine selection is fantastic, lovely location, attentive service. I've been to Shoreditch brand couple of years ago and that was a brilliant experience. Richmond, location wise far beyond but needs to improve both their menu and food.

We're regulars at Tapas Brindisa Richmond. This time our visit was exceptional. The Maitr'd had no issue with relocating us to a lovely table inside. Pablo, our waiter was fantastic! He accommodated our guests' allergies without a blink of an eye. When it came to Huevos Rotos he prepared the dish for us at our table which is something that we haven't experienced over a year at Brindisa Richmond despite our complaints in the past. Bravo Pablo!!! Thank you! You need more of him! Can you please clone him? We'll be back!!!!

Overall food is great, but octopus was really chewy and badly cooked. We were really disappointed as we expected top food quality, don’t get me wrong, the rest of ordered food was great, just don’t order octopus as you won’t be happy. Service was great and the atmosphere is lovely.

The location is great right by the river. The staff were attentive but not much energy. That's ok. The bread was very bland and basic for almost £5. Two white rolls and two almost dry slices of white bread. The butters were nothing to write home about but apart from that, the food was tasty. The prawns were the highlight in a garlic oil. They had so much flavour. The prawns were the 5 star part of a 4 star experience. The value for money was 4 star too. The location is wonderful!

I've been with my girlfriend, and the food was absolutely amazing! The rustica pizza is a must if you want any advice... the staff is superfriendly and welcoming, the two managers Maria and Roland really amazing people and I'm definitely coming back!
