Zizzi - Richmond in Richmond upon Thames

We had such a wonderful time at Zizzi in Richmond — from the moment we stepped in, the cozy decor and warm atmosphere made us feel right at home. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating a relaxing, inviting vibe. Everything from the lighting to the layout contributes to an effortlessly chilled ambiance. The staff were incredibly welcoming, and a special shoutout goes to our fantastic waiter, Tony. He was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel even more personal. We also have to commend Toby, the chef — his cooking is absolutely phenomenal. Hailing from Hong Kong, Toby’s skills in the kitchen are second to none. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. He’s genuinely one of the best chefs we’ve come across. Even the little things stood out — the toilets were spotless and hygienic, which always adds peace of mind. Throughout the visit, I felt completely comfortable and cared for. All in all, Zizzi Richmond delivers not just great food but a thoughtfully curated experience that makes you want to return. It was perfect for our anniversary.

Visited yesterday, Waitress 'Jada' was lovely and attentive. The restaurant is in a great location overlooking the riverside - perfect for a sunny day to dine outside. Drinks were a bit slow to come out and food was good, however you'd expect it to be outstanding for the pricing of the menu. If not better - it should at least be bigger portions for example the Patatas Bravas I would say there was no more than 12-14 small pieces which is not ideal for sharing. Same with the prawns they could be served with bread perhaps if not more prawns... 4 people spending £230 you'd expect to come out stuffed. I would definitely visit again but would probably choose dishes which would be more filling like the pressed lamb shoulder was really good!

Had dinner here last Saturday and, I must say, the experience was exceptional! Know I was slightly inebriated towards the end - having made the unwise decision to down a couple of shots - but would absolutely come again. Thanks Alex, you also made my day by finding my sunglasses.

Food tasted good - at the expected level. You can get decent river view from both inside and outside tables. Nice and typical tapas bar vibes. However, I found the prices way too high for what’s offered. Therefore reduced the overall rating from 3 (which is ok value for money) to 2 stars (which is not-so-ok value for money)

Had amazing lunch on mothers day! The place was very but that didn't affect the wonderful service and tasty tapas! From the moment we got greeted by Alex at the doors we had a great time and as we promised to her we will make sure to come back, maybe on a quieter day for a change! We couldn't ask for more and look forward to being back!

My daughters took me to Brindisa, Richmond, for drinks and small plates for the start of an early Mother’s Day celebration on Saturday 29/3. Food and drinks were lovely, but the experience was made extra special by our server JADA. What a wonderful young lady who demonstrated a friendly, warm welcome the moment she came to our table. With her warm engagement and conversation, whilst maintaining excellent professional standards, she made our first visit and celebrations extra special. JADA is a total credit to your organisation and I hope she is appreciated as a great member of staff. Well done JADA and we will be back for a full lunch.

Lovely atmosphere. Great service! But the food left something to be desired, and it was a shame. I had croquettes and lamb. It wasn't good. I decided to order dessert, which was a cake with ice cream. The cake was very hard and dry. The only ice cream I had in the whole meal was good.

We celebrated a milestone anniversary here because it's simply one of the best places to be on a sunny day - delicious seasonal food made from quality ingredients, a refreshing selection of drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. Slow service on a Saturday lunch. Waited 30 minutes for the bill and the table wasn’t cleared in that time. Food was delicious bar squid ink rice was quite cold. Overall not a magical lunch but did the job.

We had a wonderful lunch at Richmond branch on the sun! Whilst it looked very busy Alex found us a table outside with beautiful view and made sure we're well looked after. All in all, we throughouly enjoyed food, drinks and the service, full package! Would absolutely recommend :)

Beautiful location delicious food and wonderful hostess Alexandra. Made sure our table was on the terrace and kept checking in to make sure everything was to our liking. The Spanish omelette was phenomenal!

We came with my partner for Saturday lunch and since the weather was great we got attracted by your outside seating and the view! Alex accommodated us happily and promptly to one of the remaining available tables without a hesitation. She heard us saying we wanted a sunny space which wasn't available and after about 10 minutes of sitting in the shade came back to us and with smile moved us knowing how much we wanted to enjoy the sun the moment we saw another couple leave a table we we were eyeing up. We loved we didn't have to ask and your staff just wanted to make sure everything is loved by us as customers which honestly goes a long way, especially living in Richmond and being locals. This just means a new favourite spot for me and my partner thanks to little things staff does to ensure a great experience which we definitely had! Pair it with delicious Spanish food and wine, happy dog with his own bowl of water next to table and a gorgeous view and you get the best Richmond has to offer! Would absolutely recommend, especially over a sunny weekend!

Albeit a chain store, I really enjoyed this compared to the one in South Kensington. More space, better internal dinning environment, great view of Thames river and situated off the Richmond promenade. I would encourage to book to ensure you get a seat and order all the tapas are you desire. Price is appropriate with the quality and portions.

We came for drinks and Alex was super, very accommodating for us with our baby and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be back!

Would recommend the croquettes, the chorizo, the chicken thighs, and the prawns. Jada was fantastic. The lady as we were greeted could do with a more warm demeanour; learning a more inviting tone.

Stunning location with a view of the river, the food was stunning, we had lots of sharing plates (recommend the chorizo) and the cava sangria recommended by Jada which was amazing. The service from Jada was perfect. Lovely lunch.

Alex at the doors was a delight! I came in tonight without a reservation and waited for friends, she offered a table and very shortly moved me before my friends arrived to offer better and more spacious table which we loved! She was incredibly welcoming and kept checking on us throughout the evening, easily cracking jokes with the rest of my party too making us feel very comfortable. Our first time at Brindisa and definitely not last after the experience tonight. Rest of the team who looked after us did a great job too and we can't wait to be back soon. It's a place I like very much, only the employees are very grumpy people. Even though there were many empty tables, they said there was no room, and when I passed by 2 hours later, I saw that the table was still empty. I asked again and they said there was no room again. However, it is a place that I love very much. Their drinks are very nice 👍

We’ve spent an incredible 2 hours sitting outside by the river with amazing spanish food and great service! We’ve had the sharing board, and it was spotless. My husband ate all the padron peppers before i could get to them 😅🙌🏻

Unfortunately you’re mostly paying for the view and location. The food isn’t that amazing for the price it’s sold. Service and atmosphere were nice! We paid £180 for 2, tapas and carafe of the cheapest wine. So… quite expensive in my opinion

our waitress Jada was phenomenal with all the best recommendations, and very attentive. food was unreal, all in all was a wonderful experience. the cheesecake is definitely a 10/10. the special churros were also amazing, i think they should be added to the permanent menu.

We just wanted to enjoy a drink and some snacks outside—surely that’s not too much to ask? Especially with an empty terrace! First, they told us they don’t accept walk-ins, so I had to make a reservation. Fine. Then, they warned us about a long wait for food, which I was happy to accept. But in the end, they refused to serve food outside—despite other tables being served. The service was beyond frustrating; it honestly felt like they were trying to turn customers away. Keep up the good work, your restaurant will be replaced with another set of high end apartments soon at this rate!

I love this place due to the location and size. Not as cramped. ..but the fried goat cheese at the Soho branch is much better. The portion size here is much smaller and not made the same way. The truffle arinchini was delicious - we liked it so much we order it twice as well as the tortilla!

We went for a family dinner with my parents. We used to go to the Ivy for family meals, but that’s lost its appeal as the chain has expanded. Brindisa seemed like a nice alternative. We’re big fans of good tapas and Brindisa didn’t disappoint. Service was prompt and attentive, despite the restaurant being full, and each dish was prepared with skill and care. The wine list is great, although a little pricey. Overall it’s great value for such quality and there’s something for everyone on the menu. Would highly recommend.

Outstanding service and great food.. The team there made our friend’s 60th birthday dinner so special. They went above and beyond and could not have been more professional. The food was extraordinary as always, we have been a number of times and never been disappointed. I would say as foodies, the best Tapas restaurant we have been to.Our friends were blown away with the quality of food and wine… think you have gained a few more regular customers……

Pretty average. The artichoke was too greasy and not tasty, the fish was okay, and the lamb rack was decent. The freshly squeezed apple juice doesn’t seem authentic—too sweet and clear.

Very rarely post a negative review. The staff were friendly, but we had to ask for cutlery on numerous occasions, the portion sizes considering the prices were incredibly small, the flavours were underwhelming and all in all we left with a huge bill and were still hungry

Vinimos a cenar. Teníamos entrantes, un plato fuerte y un postre. Los entrantes y postres eran agradables, pero para el plato principal un amigo y yo tuvimos la remolacha stifado. Estaba muy sabroso pero el problema era la falta de carne. Era principalmente masa y patata. La camarera me preguntó si lo estábamos disfrutando y le hablé de la falta de carne. Ella nos ofreció una alternativa, pero para entonces ya habíamos comido la mitad de ella y no podíamos haber manejado otro plato principal.

Food was excellent but quite pricey. I especially enjoyed the cheese board, mainly to myself 😂 house red was good. A pardon pepper was so hot it nearly felled me but apart from that all was excellent.

Went there on Sunday afternoon with my friends. We ordered cheese and charcuteries boards. The meats were dry like exposed for a long time. Would also have rather had selections of cheese from Waitrose/M&S.

Ordered 7 dishes and 2 cappuccino. Most dishes were disappointing except the croquettes and octopus. Other food was either cold or plain. I’d say it is definitely overpriced. Service was pretty good though, and the atmosphere was nice.

favourite restaurant in Richmond, such beautiful food and a lovely setting by the river. I have been many times. Octopus served with bone marrow is INCREDIBLE (sadly ran out for our final visit here before moving countries, so I tried the broad bean dish with manchengo and truffle, also great)!

Food is standard Brindisa fare, always solid. Although feels very expensive for what you're getting, Richmond branch prices may even be more than Soho!

Not worth it!!! We waited 40 minutes for the waiter to bring us some tap water and to take our food and drinks order. When he eventually took our order, he took a large table’s order immediately afterwards (they had arrived 20 mins after us). Our waiter then lost our order- which another waiter informed us about. We were there nearly an hour before the drinks and food arrived. Food is delicious but expensive for what you get. For example, The arriz negro had 5 small pieces of calamari on. I wouldn’t rush back!

Vinimos aquí el año pasado, esperamos más de una hora y luego admitieron que se olvidaron de hacer nuestro pedido, tomaron el pedido de nuevo y después de otra larga espera dijeron que no tenían lo que pedí. Terminé corriendo a León a comer mientras mi esposo terminaba su pizza. Pensé en intentarlo otra vez esta noche. Gran error. Esperaron siglos para empezar, sabían bien pero muy tacaños con salsas e ingredientes. Pedí una pizza "construye tu propia". La base llegó quemada y dura como una roca. Las coberturas se agregaron tan increíblemente tacaño, y faltaron dos (pero me cobraron por todas). No podía comer la mitad de la pizza porque era muy difícil. El precio de todo esto era absurdo para la cantidad de comida que realmente comimos. El tipo que parecía estar a cargo dijo que el gluten - base libre a veces va duro. ¡En otros restaurantes no! Creo que debería haber hecho un descuento en esa pizza, especialmente porque había olvidado algunos de los ingredientes. Ventajas: Un par del personal joven es muy agradable - amable y atento. Nunca volverá.

Fantástica noche, buena comida y personal fantástico. El italiano no es mi primera opción a diferencia de la señora. La comida era fresca, sabrosa y muy buena, pero fue el personal que lo hizo una experiencia fantástica y volvería mañana debido a lo bienvenido que nos hizo el personal. Equipo brillante. Nuestro camarero estuvo en su día de 1 calle y será un excelente activo para la empresa junto con los demás.

When I visited I found Thea menu to be small but varied ! There were lots of other people dinning making it a nice atmosphere.

Came recently for a birthday meal and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We sat outside on a sunny evening with a lovely view of the riverside. The food was lovely, I particularly enjoyed the sardines and the croquetas, as was the sangria. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We hope to be back soon!
