Good decor. Veggie pizza bit blend but overall experience was good.

We visited the restaurant as we had just moved to area and the great reviews. Unfortunately our experience was very different. The pizza was uncooked in the middle, seafood pasta was clearly out of a jar along with the carbonara. I wouldn't mind except that the prices reflect that the food shouldn't be undercooked or out of a jar. Its a shame because the serving staff were very nice.

We had lunch. The waitess got our order wrong. We all had pizzas, very small for a main course. Poor value. Gooey cheese loaded onto a soggy base. Zizzi, Prezzo etc serve more Italian style, which are not hard to make. Our first and last visit. There are far better places nearby.

I would suggest staying away from mussles. they were frozen, tasteless, chewy, smelly, and inedible.

Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20 minute walk from there - so not much difference than a venue in Twickenham town centre. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note - there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 630pm, and the restaurant was busy with many of the other customers having been to the rugby match, too. We were given a warm welcome. The service throughout was friendly and efficient. Our starter choices were : dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari and whitebait. Our main courses were : carbonara x 2, calzone x 2 served with salad and sea bass fillets served with chips and salad. All were good sized portions and very tasty. The food and wine were also all at very reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cafe Venice experience and will return again.

Very disappointed ☹️ We had the worst experience, service and coffees tasted like u just rinse the coffee mug and serve u dirty water 🤮🤮🤮 Waiters had such huge horrible fake nails on 1 hand but missing nails on the other hand ,,, she couldn’t hold the coffee mugs properly, and she didnt know how to serve se was leaning across the guest,table & food to hand the dinks and food,,, hair not tied up,,, hygiene zero,,, never again, disgusting 🤢

Very good food at a reasonable price, service is excellent and the atmosphere is lovely. The pizzas are very good, especially the calzones, whilst there is a great variety of pastas, salads, desserts and specials. The restaurant is family friendly and very helpful when it comes to allergies, with gluten free and vegan options also catered for. Overall, Cafe Venice is a lovely restaurant at the heart of Whitton and I would highly recommend it!

Shocking service from Cafe Venice. I order a pizza which was burnt and not even Cut into slices.The woman I complained to was so rude! We do not cut our pizzas up was her response..O.M.G

Great place to grab a lunch in here. Menu has so many nice options ( a great choice of salads, pizza, sea food). Definitely will be back here.

After booking a table was called and told there was a set cost of £30 per person for two courses but we could choose off the normal menu. Looking at the menu for two courses would be max £20 per person. Inflating prices when the rugby is on is wrong and profiteering. We cancelled our table

I highly recommend this restaurant. Basically serving pizza and pasta they had now added some traditionan dishes. The quality is excellent, generous portions and very reasoably priced. We have never been disappointed .

Such lovely fresh food every time, and the staff are very pleasant weather you eat in or take away.

Unfortunately we been there on Sunday. First thing is overpriced as for that day they offer you ( for adult and KIDS ) only a set menu 2 courses for 27.50£ plus drink and it is a Cafe It is not TIPICAL ITALIAN and the quality of service and food for me, it was very poor.

Good service but this is expensive for what you get. Starters were nice but pricey. Chicken was a bit overdone so dry and you need to order sides to get any carbs with some meals.

A small family run restaurant that is certainly a local favourite. They do make all of their food from scratch and the service is very personal.

Have eaten here a few times due to convenient location. Food is average. Very noisy on a rugby day, which is understandable; however, elderly parents visited early on a Wednesday evening, they enjoyed their meal but the experience was spoiled by a loud, noisy family with disruptive children. Inconsiderate to other diners but staff did nothing to ensure that other people were not affected. Disappointing.

Have been several times before the owner and staff are welcoming and friendly, large menu with plenty to choose from, reccomend booking ahead as it's a small restaurant which is popular with the locals

It's ok It's a decent Italian cafe with a decent menu for. Range of Italian delights. I had a deep fried brie (don't ask), lamb spaghetti meatballs. The brie was large and just greasy, definitely think a smaller and maybe breadcrumbs instead of batter would have been better The lamb meatballs were dry and overcooked, either microwave reheat or something else. I can say the sauce was tasty that was good. It's a ok Italian, being honest I have had bette, the owners are lovely too and very welcoming.

Called in to get a coffee before a long late night drive home but told they were too busy. Only three quarters full if the number of empty tables was anything to go by. Won't go back.

Very expensive pizza Salads and drinks and service all very good , However Please start making proper pizza Do some research and go to Franco Manca or Rubens who do better pizzas in the area . I read the reviews online that pizzas were supposed to be good. We order 2 via Uber eats. It was delivered promptly with the designated time, but not what we expected. The menu says they make “thin base”- what we received was certainly not, it resembled more of a bread base. Also, these definitely were the smallest pizzas I have EVER seen. Chorizo pizza hardly had any chorizo on it - it was cut in such tiny pieces and also sparsely scattered it felt like pizza toppings consisted only of onions and rocket salad. The other pizza was bland in taste and again with very few toppings. For the price you pay you can certainly get much better options elsewhere so I don’t expect to ever order pizzas from here again. Maybe other food there is better and I do hope the restaurant will consider making adjustments

I love this place. Very flexible with reservations and tables. The food and drinks never take more than 40 minutes. When me and my family of 6 went here the food didnt even take 30 minutes. The staff are also helpful and lovely people!

I know it was a rugby day but we are locals and they said we had to have the rugby menu which was more expensive and less choice! The food was ok but really expensive for a pizza! Hard to be loyal to a local restaurant if they do this.

Food was shocking, 100% cooked from frozen. My girlfriend pizza was cold and my little girls food was fit for a dog

I love coming to this little cafe for Valentines Day and special days with the other half. We've never failed to be seated and served quickly and always with a smile. Can't recommend this place enough, the food is delicious too!

we visited this restaurant on Thursday night with few friends we read the reviews and seem good but the food was very poor. we were over charged over 25.00 pounds .The food their use is all frozen food from cheap shops the mashed was ready mix.very disappointment with the poor food and service. We asked for a drink had to wait for over 30 mins and had to remind the waitress again. very poor very and food. we should have gone to iceland and buy these food for a lot less and go to one of my friend's house. The restaurant is out of date. Where we sat the fridge is right next to the table and every few minutes someone comes to get someone out of it. I would NOT recommend this restaurant and would NOT go there again

We dine at Cafe Venice regularly and have always had a happy experience. The food is good and they cater well for small and large numbers of people. The staff are friendly and courteous and there is a good atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend it!

The food here is fine (although the menu would benefit from being refined and the coffee is below par) and staff generally friendly. However, the atmosphere is non-existent. A confusing mix of brick-effect wallpaper (did B&Q have a sale?) plus spotlights you could use in a hospital operating theatre. I have had more relaxed meals in a works canteen.Would be so easy for this restaurant to be a decent local venue. Neutralise the walls and paintwork, some softer lighting and may be some tea lights and tablecloths? May be move the chest freezer as well.A pity.

First time back today for a long while. Very disappointed. Risotto made with basmati rice I can handle but the risotto de la mere is basically rice with prawns (no evidence of any other seafood) and it burnt my mouth out. Was told no chilli in there but there was definitely something hot. I used to love the risotto here, wont go back. I see from the response that the review was heeded as much as I was. I was not complaining about the rice and am more than able to read that the rice was basmati. I also know the difference between temperature and spicy/peppery heat. I spoke to the staff about it at the time but they were not interested, although they were busy serving someone who was obviously in charge with his meal. I only got a response via a keyboard!! My main complaint was that there was a significant lack of any seafood in the rice apart from a few prawns and that it was very spicy.

Café Venice is a great place for a fun family time. Great setup and decorating giving a really warm sence of the streets of Venice. The seating and service are excellent. However in my own experience there I found the food to be a bit bland and I had to eat with a sauce or lots of salt to get some flavour. But it is a great place for coffee.

Cafe Venice in Whitton is great. There are two things which really score when you eat out: food (obviously) and service. Cafe Venice has both fully covered. The menu is mainly pizzas & pasta dishes but includes a selection of specials including lamb shank & sea bass. Perhaps, above all, it's enormously straightforward in these days when portions of fries are served in small shopping trolleys with the entire meal on a roof slate/bread board rather than a plate. Cafe Venice provides good food, well cooked, and efficiently served. Recommended.

Really basic Italian, more like a canteen environment, my stater comprised the King prawns in tomato sauce as a starter comprised of 5 tiny pre cooked and frozen prawns with a thin tomato sauce and a small salad, this was followed by pizza which was good but very small, almost a child’s size, a bottle of very poor quality Chianti, a beer and two other glasses of wine came to £90, my friend had chicken wings and chicken pasta which he said was OK.Not good food and expensive to boot, quick service as they wanted the next table in

I have had some lovely meals here but it is not consistent and sometimes as this week the food is not good and really quite tasteless. They have an updated menu and have put the prices up - especially the starters which at nearly £7 each are not good value.

I only joined friends for a drink but was made very welcome. The food there is good.
