it’s a nice location. The managers attitude is not professional. We even tried it for the second time and at the same problems with the managers attitude. Don’t suggest a visit.

Really surprised by some of these reviews. We are only struck by how warm and welcoming the staff are. I think sometimes you get back what you put in. And I’m really quite fussy. I recently left my spex there and they couldn’t have been more kind. Cleaned them and all. Happy to go back.

Very disappointed with the beef on the sloppy Giuseppe pizza, the quality of the meat is extremely awful. It was not minced beef it was very squidgy and more of a sponge like consistency and very substandard, there were miniscule toppings, tiny amounts of sweet pepper and onion and hardly any mozzarella. It was not worth the money paid for it. Definitely would not have a pizza out ever again.

Could they make this more complicated???? Every table has a card telling you to download the app and get free dough balls and 50% of a pizza. But then… no, you can get one but not the other. And you have to check in on the app for which you need a table number. So you ask the staff, and they say ‘later,later’. Later is when you try to pay the bill and the staff at EVERY table we can see are navigating through everyone’s apps for them so they can get the discount…. so it takes forever. And finally the bill arrives….. and we saved £7 for all that effort! Pizza was good though.

Google has it down with a wheelchair sign. Acess through the front fort idveasy but there is not s. Accessible toilet and the main toilet is very small Food was nice usual Pizza Express standards. Good value if you have thd reward app

It was good but not excellent, the lady who brought the card payment machine over tried to make my friend pay a large tip with their card, rather than a cash tip. And she was really quite forcefully implying that it was a necessity. We won't go there again for a while. The waiter was good though and he delivered exactly what we ordered.

Ordered via Deliveroo. This is how their $15 “pizza” looks like. Even the frozen pizza in Tesco tastes and looks better. Avoid!

Lovely tasty pizza, well worth it.

We had the best experience at this Pizza Express. I was visiting my cousin and she recommended us to go there. Gleison was so wonderful to my family. He was fast and super friendly. My cousin surprised me with a cake for my birthday and he got his whole crew to sing to me. I was so surprised. We will definitely be back next time we go visit. Ps.: desert was soooooo good. What a nice restaurant.

The food was great but part of our order was misheard and came out wrong. When asking for the correct order a man took it back to the kitchen to change it and then a lady back came over having a go saying you did order this and we’ve not got it wrong. Holding the plate as if we were going to take the now cold and incorrect food. It was really unnecessary, childish and made the evening really uncomfortable as we were basically the only people in there. Based on other comments on this page it’s not just us who experienced this hostility.

Visited on Sunday to have a quick family dinner. The food was delicious and fresh with a range of options to choose from for the four of us. The staff were also helpful, including the lady who served us who I presume is the manager. Overall great restaurant to visit in Barnes!

Wow! Terrible service! I have been to so many restaurants all over the world but this will be on top of the worst customer service list for me. Food is good but service is terrible. Its like they are giving you a favour by allowing you to eat at their restaurant. I am surprised its not even a posh place. Its a run of the mill, a very normal chain of restaurant/pizza place, nothing special. There is one on every corner. I would say that if I wanted to feel fancy, I will pay a lot more to go with a named chef restaurants anywhere I like. I am just there to have some food with the family. This restaurant reminded me of those touristy place restaurants that are always a trap. Anyway, I read someone else wrote about this as well. These guys don't like not being tipped and the server stands on your head while they push the machine to you in nice way, almost asking for tips. I don't mind paying a little extra for tips/service but that is when I get a good service through out the entire time I am there, not at the last moment before paying. Too little too late. Terrible service and then audacity of wanting a tip. I am never returning.

We come here all the time and both the food and staff are wonderful. I have never visited such a friendly PE and my twins love it here plus the gluten free and vegan options are brilliant for my daughter and her allergies!

I would like to say thank you for pizzaexpress. I had a wonderful dining out experience at pizzaexpress Barnes. All the food were delicious no matter in Dough Ball, Pizza🍕 and Dessert. I am definitely recommend my friend to come here again.

The manageress was was very friendly and looked after us all.....Dough balls, pasta and Pizza was all delicious....nice wine & cocktails.....great company...had a fab night out. 10/10 Top marks from me!:)

The street, near Barnes Bridge, has the feel of a seaside port town, with its tempting fish and chip shops, but nothing would deter me from getting to the next stop on my quest, to visit every Pizza Express in London. On the way to this one, we walked past Gustav Holst's abode; he lived in Barnes from 1908-1913. I wonder whether the great composer ever frequented the Pizza Express establishment..? The evening was rounded off with some tennis at the National Tennis Centre with lovely, smashers people; I even caught a glimpse of Emma Raducanu's US Open trophy! Then it was home time for a bubble bath. I really need to get myself a rubber duck...🦆 Quality of Food: 17/20 This was a tasty Pollo Pesto with no mushrooms and some generous helpings of chicken. The Coppa Gelato was of a fine consistency with chocolate sauce and novelty. The meal was just right and not too heavy for tennis. Atmosphere: 17/20 I really loved the coastal feel to this Pizza Express. The rowing theme gave the impression of being by the sea. A small branch, it nevertheless had atmosphere and much to commend it. It was peak time, so there were quite a few families and a party gathering but with fine company and delicious food, this did not seem to impede my enjoyment. Staff friendliness and efficiency: 17/20 The staff were all very attentive. The order was taken quickly and we were able to pay the bill with speed in order to catch an Uber to the NTC. Cleanliness: 17/20 The restaurant appeared to be very clean and the sea air helped one to feel very healthy! Overall enjoyment: 17/20 This was my furthest journey so far to visit Pizza Express and it was worth every mile. The coastal feel and indoor tennis later that evening helped to secure this restaurant in my fondest memories. Final score: 85/100 (A) Excellent Next stop: Barnet branch.

Nice food but the staff act very unbothered, rude and self - center ed. Our waitress started lecturing us when we didn’t give a tip. She shouted and rolled her eyes. Clearly too good for a pizzeria…

Staff seem lazy unbothered , rude and self-centred but food was obviously great. Had this problem with the exact same staff a few times when coming here, it is not very pleasant. When paying the bill, if you don’t add a guarantee you are given a rude side eye.

Never in my life have a met such rude staff!!!!!! Will never ever be returning here again!!!! I had three very young children with me one spilt a drink the lady in her own clothes (guessing the manger sighed) then spoke about us to the other college man with long hair. Our food arrived which was incorrect instead of apologising he replied you don’t even know what you’ve ordered to then walk off and shout “unbelievable” then spoke to the chef about us again!!!!! Service is shocking avoid!!!!!

Does what it says on the tin. Good food and attentive service. Facilities are a bit odd, having to walk through the kitchen to get to the toilets. Server was very pushy about gratuity

Waited 25 minutes to even be acknowledged by waiters on a Friday evening booking - the only acknowledgment we got was from a waiter who asked if we had paid. We hadn't even ordered. Walked out. Dreadful service and the general manager clearly does not what day of the week it is, let alone how to manage her employees. Needs to go. Usually good though..

I’m going to give 2 stars because the food was great . However when I was paying for the bill the lady who served us pointed out that the service charge isn’t included in the final price that’s why the machine asked me if I wanted to give and optional gratuity after I chose “no” . Since when is serving charge and tip are the same ?? . Meanwhile she’s standing over me watching if I will leave her a tip or not . Then I payed and she left , didn’t say anything.. walking out the door I said “thank you , bye “ she looked at me and said nothing … Extremely unpleasant, and unprofessional. I was with children and wasn’t paying with my own card , I will not leave a tip with someone else’s money ! Even though she made me feel like I should of … I will not be back.

The staff are far too chatty among themselves that they forget that there is a customer waiting to order and have been waiving for 10 minutes. Unfortunately, for lack of option we had visited this branch on few occasions and each time we left disappointed. Though this time we did not witness and argue between manager and staff over time schedule.

I learned with Pizza express depending on the branch, even thou is all the same menu, sometimes Pizza can be undercooked and soggy. Pizza express Barnes never disappoints. The staff are super friendly and the food yummy yummy

terrible experience the main lady was rude arrogant and ruined the experience of dining for that day. Honestly needs better training in service and not be so arrogant and personal when speaking to customers. I felt uncomfortable by the questions presented to me, and I did not find her 'jokes' humorous at all. Also when you ask people for their opinion and we hesitated to give it, she pushed us to say how we felt, and then told us that we were wrong. Its a shame as its local to me but wont ever be coming here again.

Avoid, avoid, avoid I've had to give this a 1 star as there isn't a nil, I'm very disappointed with this eatery- i wouldn't go here if you don't want diarrhoea. I've had food poisoning all day, the food was terrible; I beg you please don't dine here; I ordered a pizza with drink and a coke but only received two of my items, the team looked very disengaged with the customers perhaps depressed. The manager has not trained her staff to make eye contact with customers or to oversee paying the bill. I could of easily walked out without paying, it's that bad service. I got treated better by the flys on my food rather than the team. When I complained to the manager about having waited 15 mins to check out ,she argued with me instead of listening and understanding. Absolutely disgusting service!!!! Yuck

Tuve que darle a esto un 1 estrella ya que no hay un cero, estoy muy decepcionado con este lugar; no iría aquí si no quieres diarrea. He tenido intoxicación alimentaria todo el día, la comida era terrible. Te ruego que no cenes aquí. Pedí una pizza con bebida y una coca cola, pero solo recibí dos de mis artículos, no quería causar ningún escándalo ya que el equipo parecía muy desconectado con los clientes quizás deprimidos. La gerente no ha capacitado a su personal para hacer contacto visual con los clientes o supervisar el pago de la factura. Podría haberme ido fácilmente sin pagar, es ese mal servicio. Me trataron mejor las moscas de mi comida que el equipo. Cuando me quejé con el gerente por haber esperado 15 minutos para salir, ella discutió conmigo en lugar de escuchar y comprender. Servicio absolutamente desagradable! ! ! ! ¡Qué asco, aunque es barato pagar un poco más por mejores modales!

The prices practiced in this place are just way too expensive for what you get... For 14£ I got a pizza smaller than a frozen pizza that I could get in a supermarket for 2£ maximum... And no, the flavour was not even enough to make it worth it. The lady working there was very rude.

Expensive and horrible pizzas. If I want to eat chipotle I will go to a Mexican restaurant. This chain has raised its prices while lowering the quality of the food.
