Really good atmosphere, the food and staff were great.

We went there for a Christmas dinner party and it was great. Everyone was very friendly and the food was amazing. They were also very careful with people's dietary restrictions and allergies.

The food was less than average, nothing testy. What really disappointed me was the handling of a special occasion. We were celebrating a birthday and asked if they had anything for guests to mark the event. They brought out a cake, which we thought was a kind gesture—only to later find it added to our bill without prior mention. It felt misleading and left a sour note on what should have been a celebratory experience.

Came for a meal with my whole family, sat on a nice large table, plenty of space on a Sunday late afternoon. Friendly service, nice team. Only thing, we were a bit thirsty so would’ve liked drinks/water first, but thank you for all our swift meals! Food and plates hot and tasty of course, fresh and wide options on the menu and good value - don’t forget to make use of the app to secure deals, integral part of a PizEx visit. Cheers

This Pizza Express deserves 5 stars in every box! We were warmly welcomed by Marcos, who was the highlight of our evening- Iza our waitress was also supremely friendly. The food was amazing too and I would recommend the brownie for dessert!

The dinner was fabulous, I really enjoyed it! Marcos and Iza provided us amazing service and my friends and I loved our evening!

Everything you would hope to expect

I visited pizza Express this Sunday to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday. I requested a quiet corner as my mum needs aids to hear . Instead they placed us 2 tables away from an unbelievable noisy children's party. This ruined my daughter's celebration meal as we couldn't hear to talk. Staff had asked the table to turn the noise down, but were unsuccessful. During our main staff said we could move. A bit late half way through your pizza. At this point we had enough and decided to leave without finishing our mains, no desserts or cake that I had brought in especially for her. Dad paid the full bill! The bit I can't forgive pizza express for is that they had plenty of seats far away from the party. We will never return!

Always a delight. We ordered the large sloppy guisepe to share along with two starters: garlic bread and bruschetta (this is our regular order and we’re never disappointed).

We asked the waiter if we could apply one coupon in addition to applying a large pizza upgrade. The waiter agreed this is applicable. When the bill arrived the discount had not been applied. The abrupt and rude manager then stormed over to explain the waiter made a mistake and the offer bundle is not applicable. She spoke in an unapologetic and defensive manor and when I told her I will write a review about her she replied she did not care and this will not affect her position. I am a loyal pizza express customer and eat in many braches. Richmond branch really was a let down in terms of customer service only from the female manager. Disappointed.

We had a lovely family meal here served by the polite and friendly Nat. She was a perfect host to our meal and got everything spot on - despite our dietary requirements and requests for extra items after ordering. Also plenty of other helpful staff on hand for any requests. Thank you.

Nice starters and pizza but really hard to get waiter attention, pass several times our table and no eye contact. Tried to order their signature drink Tequila but wasnt available, Waiter wouldnt say thanks while taking payment or anything.

Absolutely terrible pizza I couldn’t tell pizza from cardboard base of box. The base separated from the top check out the pictures don’t bother with this restaurant

My husband being Italian, we have our favourite pizza place somewhere else but since I work near Richmond, we tried Pizza Express one time. And absolutely loved it- pizza itself is not bad but the warm , obliging atmosphere, snug interiors and mellow lighting, and in particular the attentive service from the staff were enough to encourage a second time. We've only had a couple of pizzas - classic Margherita and Diavola on the two occasions - pizza bread itself is okay toppings tasty. Husband loved their Caffe Reale dessert and I am pretty satisfied with their wine selection. Starters all looked good, mozzarella sticks well-executed. Highlight of both visits was Iza, possibly one of the best servers I have met in my life,myself included as I was a server too at one time. She is very knowledgeable about the products they offer, good-natured, and makes you feel as if your table is the special table. Not a skill that can be taught. Highly recommend management to elevate people like her. Next time we'll take more photos (always too hungry to take some before realizing we should) and try more plates.

Great food and service, just a bit lacking in atmosphere as it was virtually empty

Very misleading offer sign at the entrance - so surprising they do this kind of scam. The sign says: "Any second classic pizza for 1 £" and doesn't specify that it is only for club members with QR code.

Filthy toilets. Bad customer service. Untrained and rude management. Avoid.

The restaurant was almost empty, and yet I was sat near a noisy family. I asked to move. I’ve been to many Pizza Express restaurants over the years, and it’s generally very good. However, the pizza I had today in Richmond was absolutely awful. Raw dough in the middle and burnt on the outside edges. Revolting. I’m surprised the server even gave it to me. When I complained, I didn’t get much of an apology and was told it had been made by a trainee. Why let him cook for the public if he’s not yet proficient? I had a choice beforehand to go into there or the pizza place opposite - where I’ve previously had excellent pizza. I won’t make the same mistake next time.

What a fabulous meal. Iza, our amazing waitress, made sure we had a brilliant time. She was very attentive and explained the menu. The new autumn food menu was delicious! I would also recommend the fruity cocktails.

Iza was an amazing waitress! She was friendly, polite and was very attentive! We had a tried the Autumn menu and I must say the meatball Italiano was perhaps the best pizza I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of pizzas! The biscoff sundae was heaven and I cannot forget the pomegranate margaritas was stunning!

I’ll have to start with the biggest thank you to Iza who completely made our night! She was the friendliest person, and so good at her job. We tried food from the new Autumn menu and it didn’t disappoint, I had the goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza (cannot remember the name) and it was delicious! Really nice open space as well- oh and don’t miss out on the pomegranate margaritas!!

I came to Richmond Pizza Express yesterday. All staff were really nice, especially the blonde lady. Would definitely come again.

I have visited several Pizza Express franchises over the years, and the Richmond Pizza Express was the best so far. The staff were welcoming from the start and asked if we had any allergies, which was important because my friend has a gluten allergy. They took the allergies seriously, which was reassuring. The food was fresh, hot, and ready on time. I would recommend that everyone visit Richmond Pizza Express - it's definitely worth it!!

Whilst the food was good and value for money from TT heir apparently sadly our grandchild slipped and cut his head open on one of the tables. Whilst not responsible, sadly no interaction from the staff whatsoever. Once again we were ignored hoping we would just pay and leave, very dissapointing

I was at Pizza express today (02/08/2024) and I experienced exceptional service from Iza, she was very welcoming and had amazing knowledge of the menu and good recommendations. Our dinner was divine as Iza made it exceptional.

I recently visited the Pizza Express restaurant in Richmond upon Thames, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant due to the staff's behavior. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a staff member (dressed in casual jeans dress, blond hair) She seemed just okay, initially asking if we had any allergies and then escorting us to a table. However, the table she directed us to was next to a loud party of about ten people who were shouting excessively. When I requested a different table, she seemed visibly annoyed. She dismissively waved her hand and said, "Yeah, you can sit wherever you want," and then continued to clean the original table. My wife and I chose a table on the other side of the restaurant, but the same staff member approached us and insisted we couldn't sit there because it was meant for six people. She said she needed to clean another table first, so we agreed to wait. When we moved closer to that table, she rudely turned around and told us again that we couldn't sit there until she finished cleaning. Her tone was extremely rude, which significantly marred our dining experience. After the table was ready, she just walked away without saying anything to me. Thankfully, another staff member who took our order was very nice, and we had no issues with her. The food was quite nice, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the unpleasant behavior of the first staff member, who appeared to be one of the managers or the staff manager. Due to this negative encounter, I will not be returning to this Pizza Express location. The rude and dismissive attitude of the manager-like staff member made the entire experience uncomfortable and unenjoyable.

Richmond Bridge Club hosted a Cafe Bridge in June 2024. We asked ten restaurants in Richmond to participate. Pizza Express kindly offered their services. They did so last year as well. They were very kind in helping us set up the event and to accommodate all the players that went through the restaurant during the day - from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The participants, 24 people, who had lunch at P.E. were very complimentary. Excellent. We will ask them next year too!

Impossible to visit London without a stop at Pizza Express. Of course, these are chain restaurants but the quality and choice are there and after all these years (more than 30 years), we have never been disappointed, even if they are not the pizzas of the 90s. Rather pizzas good, impeccable service, in addition the Richmond restaurant offers a very pleasant and comfortable setting, which is not always the case in this type of restaurant. Few surprises on the plate but overall, a pleasant experience.

You know what you’re getting when you go to pizza express. The food was ok - the pollo pesto pasta wasn’t as flavoursome as it was the last time I had it and prices have sky rocketed in a year. But staff were friendly and they have a good kids menu too.

Pizza was burned as hell! All of them were (5). As well as this my calabresa had no pesto. I guess it was too difficult for the chefs. Big Shame as the bill was over £200. POOR NEVER AGAIN!

I wanted to say a huge WOW to Iza who worked effortlessly running around to meet all the customer needs across the entire busy restaurant today. My daughter and I visited pizza express Richmond as we love searching for the lost toys hidden in the restaurants and adore the food. the team were clearly understaffed we visited for Valentine’s Day in hope of the heart dough balls however the were not available. I felt Iza was just wonderful and met our needs more than required despite being extremely busy. I watch as she operated almost 12+ tables. She then told me she was working till close , our sitting being 1:30. I never really write reviews of this context but feel she deserves the applause. Happy valentines day !

It was good. The basil on the pizza was unnecessary and a bit brown.

Today we received probably the best service that I've ever got at a restaurant. We were four adults, four young kids, and the staff were just brilliant. They proactively did things that we didn't ask for - small things, like bringing us a strawberry for our baby to chew on. We just felt so well looked after. The food was also excellent, if a little expensive. We'll return again.

Order was late and the gps tracker froze for 15 mins meaning my food left the shop and was just somewhere for 15 mins when I know the drive from the restaurant to my house doesn’t take that long. Food was cold because of that not good and had to re heat it not good and not happy.

Ordered via deliveroo whose options are now unclear for vegans. Got veggies delivered and called PE about issue. Despite us making the mistake on the unclear app, they said come and pick up your vegan pizzas for free. Fantastic customer service.

Someone said the romana pizzas are their favourite out of all the pizza places they’ve been to. Really good size & quantity & delicious flavour reasonably priced. We had a lovely area at the back that I was able to decorate & meant my mum was completely unsuspecting as it took getting close to the table before she saw everyone there. The waiters & waitresses were really kind to tidy & clear everything up after including the decorations & quite a few party poppers so thanking the team very much & for making it so special :)

I always order extra toppings from Pizza Express and use the notes section in Just Eat to remind them that I have ordered extra toppings. They always replace some of the original toppings (in this case the "American Double" becomes the "American Single" pepperoni). Not only that. The QR code to earn points from scanning the pizza box is always damaged. I think they have had enough chances.

We were served by Sanj and she was lovely, very friendly and brought us our food quickly Would recommend to anyone, especially since there is a cinema right across the street!

Last Wednesday, me and my family and a dear friend visited to have pizza together. The restaurant was clean, and it was welcoming. The service was great- the food was delicious, (we had fajita pizza! It was so good) and the kids had a great time. The staff here were friendly, and we were really impressed. Can I just say how pleased we were with Rosa! She is a lovely, genuine and warm lady. She made us feel happy and welcome and we had some laughs! The food was brought promptly and she was very attentive and clearing the space for us. We really loved Rosa and will definitely be back here again! She is an amazing lady!
