Pizza Express in Richmond upon Thames

Impossible to visit London without a stop at Pizza Express. Of course, these are chain restaurants but the quality and choice are there and after all these years (more than 30 years), we have never been disappointed, even if they are not the pizzas of the 90s. Rather pizzas good, impeccable service, in addition the Richmond restaurant offers a very pleasant and comfortable setting, which is not always the case in this type of restaurant. Few surprises on the plate but overall, a pleasant experience.

Pizza was the usual standard that you expect from Pizza Express. Lovely staff and a good atmosphere in the restaurant. Can't really go wrong for a quick and easy dinner out

Friendly service , many seats inside clean and feel free to eat and talk . Pizza was really great also chips which is kind of different from another pizza merchants

You know what you’re getting when you go to pizza express. The food was ok - the pollo pesto pasta wasn’t as flavoursome as it was the last time I had it and prices have sky rocketed in a year. But staff were friendly and they have a good kids menu too.

Pizza was burned as hell! All of them were (5). As well as this my calabresa had no pesto. I guess it was too difficult for the chefs. Big Shame as the bill was over £200. POOR NEVER AGAIN!

I wanted to say a huge WOW to Iza who worked effortlessly running around to meet all the customer needs across the entire busy restaurant today. My daughter and I visited pizza express Richmond as we love searching for the lost toys hidden in the restaurants and adore the food. the team were clearly understaffed we visited for Valentine’s Day in hope of the heart dough balls however the were not available. I felt Iza was just wonderful and met our needs more than required despite being extremely busy. I watch as she operated almost 12+ tables. She then told me she was working till close , our sitting being 1:30. I never really write reviews of this context but feel she deserves the applause. Happy valentines day !

The waitress was a charming young thing but the pizza pretty grim. Flavourless and flabby. Less atmosphere than deep space.

Today we received probably the best service that I've ever got at a restaurant. We were four adults, four young kids, and the staff were just brilliant. They proactively did things that we didn't ask for - small things, like bringing us a strawberry for our baby to chew on. We just felt so well looked after. The food was also excellent, if a little expensive. We'll return again.

All the staff were really friendly, all said hello and gave a friendly smile. It was a lovely atmosphere.

Ordered via deliveroo whose options are now unclear for vegans. Got veggies delivered and called PE about issue. Despite us making the mistake on the unclear app, they said come and pick up your vegan pizzas for free. Fantastic customer service.

Just want to add I came back as a party of 12 for a surprise 80th birthday treat to my mum & had such a wonderful time. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, very kind & attentive but not overkill & everyone especially my mum loved it. Someone said the romana pizzas are their favourite out of all the pizza places they’ve been to. Really good size & quantity & delicious flavour reasonably priced. We had a lovely area at the back that I was able to decorate & meant my mum was completely unsuspecting as it took getting close to the table before she saw everyone there. The waiters & waitresses were really kind to tidy & clear everything up after including the decorations & quite a few party poppers so thanking the team very much & for making it so special :)

Had a great meal with my pops. He is vegan and I love the meats, still we both enjoyed tasty treats, I am now full and seeking a nap. We were served by Sanj and she was lovely, very friendly and brought us our food quickly Would recommend to anyone, especially since there is a cinema right across the street!

We were served for a lovely lunch today! Hostes with the mostes, Daria was so kind and accommodating with a beautiful and calming energy! Highly recommend this warm space for a lovely meal!

Last Wednesday, me and my family and a dear friend visited to have pizza together. The restaurant was clean, and it was welcoming. The service was great- the food was delicious, (we had fajita pizza! It was so good) and the kids had a great time. The staff here were friendly, and we were really impressed. Can I just say how pleased we were with Rosa! She is a lovely, genuine and warm lady. She made us feel happy and welcome and we had some laughs! The food was brought promptly and she was very attentive and clearing the space for us. We really loved Rosa and will definitely be back here again! She is an amazing lady!

Lovely place to eat well and hangout with friends. Romana pizza de as amazing, I ate it all and I loved the olives as an entrance. We ordered a polenta side as entrance too and it was delightful! I’m very glad to be here on this Sunday

Flawless service tonight from our waitress Millie, food was good, had the Spicy Giuseppe and pesto dough balls.

Food took a long time to come. The restaurant was fairly busy on a Friday night, but would have appreciated an unprompted apology for the delay. Service staff were on the whole good, one male waiter spilt condiments while setting them down and also interrupted myself and my dining partner's conversation without an 'excuse me' to ask a question. I thought that was quite rude.

Pretty standard Pizza Express but the food was good. The restaurant was very busy on one side and pretty empty on the other. We asked to be seated on the quieter side as there were some very loud family groups. Unfortunately, it meant we were sort of forgotten about. I had the vegan gardinara with no olives and we shared doughballs and a side salad. It was really good. The food came quickly and we were asked if we wanted anything else, I asked for chilli oil. Our waiter went to get it and got distracted, delivering food to another table, then chilli oil to them, before finally remembering us. I was about to get up and get it myself when he appeared, almost 10 minutes after my pizza coming to the table. Unfortunately there was a bit of a wait for the bill too, then once that arrived, another wait for the card machine. Warning, if you want to collect pizza hut points and take advantage of the free doughballs, you can't pay with anything other than cash/card. I had a gift card to use (clubcard voucher) so to use it, we had to pay for the doughballs. Not the end of the world, but they were pretty pushy about us signing up to the pizza express club and downloading the app. I suppose the app means you don't have to wait to pay and can just pay and go. The restaurant was generally very clean and tidy, tables were cleared quickly. The toilets were clean. The location is good, opposite the mini Odeon cinema and close to the Richmond bus station.

Came in at lunch time, they said they closing at 9pm and don’t want to take the risk and said they might close early today. I said I’m ready to order but they said they don’t care and laughed at me. Rude but looked quite nice to be fair.

I've ordered deliveroo 3 times from here - twice they've got my order wrong. I'm not sure why this keeps happening and it's annoying to say the least. It's put me off from ordering in the future.

Fantastic Pizza Experience in Richmond London! I had a lunch at Pizza Express in Richmond and I cannot praise it enough, especially with the incredible service provided by Iza. The pizza was divine, with a thin and crispy crust and flavorful toppings. The only minor drawback was that the pizza lacked the desired level of spiciness. The staff was attentive and accommodating, and the ambiance was inviting. The place is looked after. Toilets are well maintained and stocked. The overall experience at Pizza Express was exceptional, and I highly recommend it.

The food is cool, although it's not my climate, but I came because my daughter likes it and they liked it

I had lasagne. The most plastic, prepackaged tasteless slab. Clearly made with cheap ingredients on an industrial scale. I asked for my bill as I was in a rush and was told " eat your food first, then get the bill". Not used to being told when I should get the bill. Weird.
