Pizza Express in Richmond upon Thames

The lady manager on shift was really good.

I have been a regular customer for years, unfortunately the last visit was a real disappointment. The staff quote rude and unprofessional plus food very poor quality and tastes. They couldn't even make a Cesar Salad! The dressing on my salad was absolutely disgusting. It looked and tasted like poor quality ready made salad cream from a supermarket. Pizza - average, it used to be much better and tiramisu also disgusting and tasteless. I won't be back there, definitely not to this brunch.

Terrible shouting customer service from pizza express. I called and the woman on the phone shouted at me telling me it waa not her problem and i should contact Just eat. Seh lued about the order being picked up already. She was so rude . Never again.

pizza was awful. so dry. hardly any sauce on the base. it arrived cold so the cheese had already hardened. such a disappointment

My daughter and I visited on Saturday 11 January. The service was good, friendly & attentive. The pizzas were good.

Ordered 2 pizzas and dough balls for delivery on the Pizza express app! The delivery time moved from 30 minutes to 45 to over an hour. Only one pizza turned up and it was cold. So I didn't take it... Pizza Express when ordering in restaurant has usually been very good. 40+ pounds for 1 cold pizza is not to their usual standards. There is no reply when calling the restaurant to resolve the issue, so here I am leaving a poor review.

Order was placed at 19:27 and was given an ETA of 20:00 - 20:25. This arrival time continued to increase and increase until the order was FINALLY delivered nearly two hours later at around 21:15. By this time we had already ordered via another delivery app from a different restaurant and eaten this food by the time the order arrived.

Absolutely disappointed. I stopped using Just Eat following my last order which arrived cold, took ages and after contacting you no one bothered to get back to me. I’ve tried again in good faith today and it’s like a repeated nightmare. Re my order today your app states the driver is at the restaurant - this is an hour after placing the order - however, I’ve contacted the restaurant and they have confirmed my order was picked up at 6:45pm - over an hour ago. I have tried calling you but no option to speak to anyone at JustEat to resolve. I would like a refund and would like to understand how such practice can be so poor and how I can make a complaint?

So it's new years eve and my girlfriend placed a order at 7:10 - expected delivery was around 8:00 - after 8 still not arrived so she has called to be told they have a back log and that it will be getting done. At 8:30 got a notification saying good has been delivered - it hasn't!! Now she is hangery and now phone line is going to answer phone and talking about opening hours. They could have just said they had to many orders and that they could of canceled the order so she could of ordered somewhere else. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE TO HAVE A HUNGRY AND ANNOYED GIRLFRIEND! THANKS!!!!

Went in this Nepalese restaurant specifically because the menu they had displayed in their window included plant-based options. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, another ten to be served, only to then be told that because it was match-day, there was a 'special' menu, which had no plant-based options. I complained in the hope they would offer to make something satisfactory, but alas, I was told there was tarka dal or Bombay potatoes as a main. Misleading menu, poor service and a waste of time, so wouldn't go there again

Went to see the all blacks Vs England rugby game, stopped here with work colleagues. Place was super busy, definitely pay to book in advance but overall food was good, atmosphere was great, well places to Twickenham stadium worth going to if in the area.

We are regulars in this place. Today my American Hot Romana pizza came very soggy not cooked properly. No one asked if we enjoyed food so at the end i told them about it (only 1 piece eaten) and although the waiter asked the manager she denied to offer anything. Paid full bill and left. I guess the policy here is you have to eat what you are served, pay and leave. You wont be seeing us for long time. Thanks

This Pizza Express is always consistent with good food and value, we have been coming here for many years. Our favourite waiter is Dominic who has also been working there for years and is always friendly and accommodating to us and our toddler.

Placed the order around 7:30pm, within 5 minutes of being accepted, the order was delayed until 9pm…the poor driver then appeared to be waiting at the restaurant for 20 to 30mins. When the food finally arrived it was all stone cold. It’s as if the food was cooked and then left for an hour to go cold before being given to the courier.

Brilliant service at Twickenham Waitress Gosia was excellent Served us very well as had a big party Also helped and gave us tips and advice on the pizza express app. Would definitely come again Back at our fav place. I've been to Italy once but no need to ever go again when I could go to Pizza Express in Twickenham. The nduja calzone is the best pizza I've ever had (aside from the other Twickenham establishment, Parma Pizza). If I was sentenced to death row I'd have the nduja calzone for starts, mains and deserts plus a liquid version as my drink. Whatever the chefs are cooking up I'm eating as it has been excellent every time I've had it. Pizza express may as well bin off the rest of the menu as I know what I'm getting there for the rest of my life. Twickenham Pizza Express chefs and wait staff, you've rocked my world.

Had such a lovely experience once we got past the older man who 'greeted' us at the door. In fact he didn't greet us he just grunted at us and told us who our server would be and showed us where our table was. Not friendly at all and as a front of house person I suggest needs more training or put behind the scenes as he's certainly not customer friendly. I gave 4* here for the atmosphere because of this rude man. Our server James on the other hand was amazing. Couldn't do enough to make our visit pleasant. He was so friendly and happy to help. He asked about allergies and brought us the folder with all the menu information in it so we could check what we were ordering would be safe. He displayed our birthday cake beautifully for one of our family and brought it out with the usual happy birthday. James is an asset to Pizza Express. Food was lovely. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. The only let down was being met at the door by a not so pleasant man who just wanted to get us in the door and couldn't care less after that.

We had been to the rugby and finished the day off with a meal . There is a "no table booking on match days " But the staff were friendly and the food was great We will be returning next year. This was our 4th visit and its been a fantastic experience every time

I ordered a take away from Uber eat. 2 pizza. 1 dough balls and one cheese garlic bread. The 2 pizza base was bad. It had a hole. It was not cooked. Really did not look or taste right. I contacted Uber eat with photos. Nothing happens they asked me to contact pizza express. My kids were disappointed and did not eat it. I hat happened to pizza express it used to be the best pizza in town. Sad sad. I sent the photos to Uber eat.

Was fine, exactly what you would expect from pizza express, manage was lovely

I recently visited Pizza Express and had a mixed experience. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for our food, which was quite frustrating. However, I must commend the staff for their professionalism and genuine apologies. They were clearly understaffed, yet they managed to handle the situation with grace and courtesy. To make up for the delay, they offered us a generous 30% discount, which was appreciated. Despite the wait, the food was delicious as always, maintaining the high quality Pizza Express is known for. Given the circumstances, it was evident that the staff were doing their best under pressure. They deserve recognition and, honestly, raises for their hard work and dedication. I hope the management addresses the staffing issues soon to improve the dining experience. Overall, while the wait was disappointing, the staff's efforts and the food quality helped salvage the evening.

The new manageress of the Pizza Express in Twickenham has completely turned it around. I had previously written, in 2023, a review damning the place under the previous manager, but now it’s back to the old, lively, good-food fun place it always used to be. Time to rewrite my review. It’s nice to go back there after several years avoiding it! Thank you everyone who works there!

Ordered a delivery. Unfortunately, the halloumi bites were small and all squashed and a tad too salty. Ordered Burnt ends pizza which was too sweet in my opinion. Sorry didn't really enjoy it. Shame esp for the price.

The waitress Dania was incredibly rude, we had an extremely negative experience. We enquired about student discount to be told by one college that it was accepted on that day, before being rudely told by Dania that we shouldn’t have asked the staff and to look online for ourselves. She then rushed our order and proceeded to stand and linger at the table despite asking her politely for a few more minutes. She then started to clear our plates whilst one member of my party was still eating and tried to clear our drinks away when there was still liquid in the bottle. All around felt that we were unwanted there and felt our dining experience was rushed and ultimately wouldn’t be returning. I hope in the future she gets spoken to about her lack of customer service as this was beyond diabolical on so many levels.

Over an hour late, took 2 hours total and the place is less than a mile from my house. If I'd known I would have collected. Only ordered 2 pizzas and 2 starters. No one answered the phone and Just Eat doesn't have a live chat function - just kept pushing the time back with no reassurance the order wasnt just completely forgotten. Food was fine, a bit cold. Will never order again though due to the ridiculous wait & non-existent customer service.

It came cold and I had to heat up

We had a really lovely family meal on Friday evening. The service provided by Biola was absolutely exceptional! The food was fresh and really tasty and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you so much Biola, for making our evening so enjoyable.

Been back several times since the last review and just wanted to say how good things have been. We particularly enjoy the lunch menu and find the Pizza Wraps with salad very good value as well as being tasty. Dominic was his usual friendly and efficient self when we dined today and we had a lovely time. The Pizza Express Club is well worth joining for the freebies. A great lunch once more at the Twickenham branch. Very well looked after by Dominic. Food was served quickly and tasty and hot. With the Rewards app it was good value too.

Booked a school visit and had the best time learning about and making our own pizzas! The chef was super patient, full of facts and encouraged the children to be independent. It is my second time coming here on a school visit and certainly won't be my last. :)
