Elliot was a fabulous server & added to the enjoyment of a lovely lunch in the sunshine :)

What a disappointing meal! The usual pizza we order got half in size, barely any topping, ice cold, even though the delivery itself was fast! The calamari was virtually impossible to taste, it was like eating overpriced batter. What a disgusting meal for a rip off price. We use to order the exact same pizza and calamari and they used to be lovely and fresh. This wasn't it. Not sure what happened but we won't be ordering/eating at Zizzi again. It's a shame that they are trying to save money so desperately that they ruined their quality and halved the portions. People at the top need to reevaluate cause other people noticed the change in portion and quality too. Shame. It used to be so good and we were really looking forward to it tonight.

Good food, very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit for a quick bite to eat booking is not always required but it is recommended especially at weekends

I do like Zizzy, they are a chain, but they are very consistent. Always a great night with a buzzing atmosphere.

No second followed up on my complaint. One of their staff gave me poor service that I never experienced in other Zizzi. I edited my comment again because it wasn’t great honestly. Let me clarify what they he did: -didn’t offered pasta crisps while I was waiting my main course (ON PURPOSE because before I left there was a lot them and didn’t offered one to me) -didn’t asked and offered Parmesan cheese on my main course as shown on the picture. He just left after he served it. -gave me a broken takeaway box Very very very petty. I swear I didn’t make up anything I mentioned. If you had a great experience, good for you. Me, not so lucky. My visit was in February.

Visitamos Zizzi en Newcastle ayer para un par de días y tuvimos una experiencia brillante! Era nuestra primera vez allí, y sin duda volveremos. Pedimos el Casareccia Pollo Piccante, que estaba absolutamente delicioso, lleno de sabor y la cantidad justa de especias. También tuvimos una botella de BaglioRe Merlot, que combinaba perfectamente con la comida. No tuvimos que esperar mucho en absoluto, y el servicio de Nancy era excelente, ella era cortés, amable, y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos. Gracias por una gran tarde!

Visitamos en febrero medio término y utilizamos cupones de Tesco para la comida. Pagué por las bebidas. La pizza vegetariana era preciosa y de buen tamaño. Yo diría que la comida y las bebidas son un poco caras para una cadena, pero genial cuando tienes cupones Tesco Clubcard!

I visited Zizzi Newcastle with my son on Saturday 29/3 as we had travelled to Newcastle to visit the university which my son will be attending in September. When we arrived it was busy with a lively atmosphere, we were soon seated, had our ordered taken and received our food and drinks. All the staff were polite, friendly and attentive. Suddenly while we were eating the fire alarms sounded and once it was ascertained that the alarm was genuine we were all asked the leave the building. The fire brigade arrived quickly and once they were happy there were no problems we went back inside probably around 10 minutes or so later. Unfortunately for the staff all of the other customers had left with only one other couple appearing to pay! We were given a 50% reduction by the manager and stayed for a complimentary drink. As we were now the only customers we had opportunity to talk to the staff while they were cleaning up. They were all lovely and a credit to the restaurant. Thanks Zizzi Newcastle!! 🥂

Food was amazing, every course was beautiful and staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Elliott.

Danielle was very out standing as are waiter very polite and helpful food was great

People who work in the establishment want to have more reason than customers, if the place closes at 10 pm but if it closes at 9:30 pm, to have it explained at the door and not be inconvenient by telling the customer to take the food home.

Service was excellent, Elliot was working by himself and you wouldn’t have known, there was no delay and he was covering the whole area. Food was lovely and outstanding service by Elliot.

We had a lovely experience tonight, we booked last minute on a stag do and managed to get a table, we had a very lovely waitress called danille, she severed us with a smile and was very welcoming and made sure we had the right wine we wanted, she made sure we had enough time to decided for food choices and she was able to remember who ordered what when it came to delivery of food. Amazing service, would highly recommend coming here again

Took my niece & my mum here for food after the theatre. Food was perfect, staff very accommodating to my niece who will only eat plain pasta & cheese at an Italian restaurant. I had the crispy pancetta carbonara & a buratta caprese everything tasted lovely. Niece ate all her pasta & mum thoroughly enjoyed her calzone. Also very quick service.

Had a great pretheatre evening meal here Friday night. Not been to Zizzis for years so enjoyed the new additions to the menu (especially the chorizo bomb!). Staff were super friendly and although it was extremely busy they werd attentive and made us feel really welcome

Enjoyed a Mushroom risotto with couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio.

We love this branch of Zizzi’s, our go to place in the town.

Don't go here tonight if you want pizza of any description or lemon and blackcurrant cheesecake. They ran out about 7pm. Saying that the food we had was good and the service was great thanks to Kate who couldn't appoligse enough.

The ambience was great and the service was friendly. The restaurant could have been a little warmer. They were prompt and efficient with delivering the food. However, I wish I could say the same about the food but the portion was very small especially the slow-cooked beef Ragu Pasta. Moreover, there simply wasn’t enough flavour and the ragu was cold as well. I wish they will improve upon my next visit to this institution.

I had put my address in wrong which I acknowledge is my mistake but I sent a message to my driver with the correct address as soon as he accepted. He refused to listen to this and waited at the incorrect place where I was unsure to the location as I am visiting for the day.

You know what you are getting at Zizzi. Good quality food and not too pricey. The only downfall was the service but I think they may have been understaffed as they took a while to take our orders then the mains were getting put on the table before the starters plates had been cleared. Then we had to go and ask for cutlery. Then they took ages to bring the bill. It was all just little things that let it down, having said that I would definitely go back. I'm guessing the may have just had some staff call in sick or something like that.

Mi amigo y yo vinimos aquí un lunes por la noche, el restaurante estaba un poco ocupado, pero no lleno. El personal era amable, pero parecía que estábamos esperando un tiempo para que nos tomaran la orden, recibir la comida y poder pagar (mi amigo tuvo que ir y preguntar ya que no vinieron). Aparte de eso, la comida era muy agradable, a un precio razonable y sin duda podía verme a mí mismo regresando.

Llegó para el cumpleaños 50 de mi hija a principios de enero. Visité dos veces anteriormente y mi nieta estaba decepcionada de no ver a su camarero favorito. La comida como siempre era deliciosa. Visita malcriada por estar sentado demasiado cerca de la mesa de al lado y también hacía mucho frío por el aire acondicionado / ventiladores. Nuestra mesa estaba al lado del bar al lado del inodoro para discapacitados. Tuve que sentarme con abrigo para comer. Decir que todavía nos volvería a visitar, pero si se sienta allí pediría una mesa diferente

En general fue bueno. Visitado durante la semana del restaurante. El lugar estaba ocupado y ruidoso, sin embargo, es de esperar. 3 platos por £ 20 , porciones de gran calidad y buen tamaño. Tuvimos una gama de entrantes entre nosotros y nada más que grandes críticas. Los principales eran muy buenos, el ragu tiene un gran sabor al igual que los otros principales. Un buen sorbete de fresa simple para los desiertos que era sabroso. Un par de cosas que se podían mejorar, nunca tuvimos una revisión de la mesa y nuestra red llegó cuando todavía teníamos nuestros platos de entrada, se sintió un poco caótico, ya que estaban despejando y sirviendo la mesa al mismo tiempo. Estoy poniendo estas cosas en que están muy ocupadas. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo.

Extremely lovely staff and feel to the restaurant. Food is a tad pricey and portion sizes for the desserts compared to the price you pay is a bit dodgy, however they are really tasty all things considered!

Mi marido y yo visitamos durante la semana del restaurante, la comida era genial y buena relación calidad-precio. Bebidas caras. Una comida encantadora se echó a perder al tener que usar nuestros abrigos toda la noche, era muy frío y calado. Pedimos que nos trasladaran , pero nos dijeron que en todas partes era lo mismo, la mayoría de los clientes llevaban abrigos también, lo que no es genial a la hora de comer, luego tener que salir al frío.

My first visit to Zizzi Newcastle. Lovely food from a varied menu including Gluten Free options. Disappointing that although we were warmly greeted with menus of entering the restaurant we had to find our own table. Secondly, it would have been nice to have been asked if we enjoyed our meal at some stage during our visit. Clearly a need for more customer training in hospitality.

I love Zizzis, purely because it delivers every time... first time I took the kids (12) and it's now their favourite restaurant! Great freshly made pasta.. the speciality carbonara and meatballs both excellent!! Their service was above and beyond, love it, love it, love it. 🥰 they even put a little sticker on your plate to let you know it's hot or to confirm they've adhered to your allergen situation... great all round.

Came for lunch time pizza, fast and friendly service and delicious Pinoli pizza. Will be back!

I had a pleasant experience at Zizzi, thanks to Tilly's friendly service. She was kind and attentive throughout the meal. However, I did find that the lentil ragu lacked a bit of salt, which affected the flavor. Otherwise, everything was fine. Thanks, Tilly!

Mi esposa y yo pensamos en venir a almorzar en nuestro día libre. Los dos pedimos la lingüina de langostinos los dos estábamos muy decepcionados de que no tenía sabor a lo que tan nunca y casi ningún langostino le preguntamos a la camarera pensamos que estaba destinado a tener una patada de chile y ella respondió que tiene simplemente no ponemos mucho en. Nadie nos preguntó si disfrutamos de nuestra comida y al costo de £ 50 para 2 principales y 2 bebidas muy caro y muy mala comida definitivamente no volverá.

Very good restaurant, the Pizza was very big and really delicious. The service was very fast, altough the restaurant was nearly full. I can only recommend it!

The young lady serving us and her section is a credit to Zizzi. She was so friendly and always asking us if we needed anything. Our drinks and food were served all in good time with a smile and chatting away. My friend has crutches and we were seated not far from the disabled loos which was great for her and she had plenty of room. We all ate from the festive menu on a very busy Saturday before Xmas and the food was lovely. I prefer chips to fries so I'd def say they're fries on the menu, not chips. But that was the only bug bear. Rly rate the place and we weren't rushed.

3 is generous for mass produced, pre cooked ,overpriced bland food . Very rushed, bearing in mind Xmas rush . Staff handled complaint very well . But service was shoddy , too quick no cutlery or clearing of table before second course. Waited ages for drinks . Won't come back in a hurry. Better places to eat for the price

Had a lovely meal they were so good with the gluten free and we told them how good they had been with the food as me and my daughter are gluten free. The down fall is when we checked the bill as we got home to work it out was not told nearly a £20 tip had been added to the bottom bit shocked. Just wish we had been told when we were paying that there was an optional bill at the end of it as the bill was expensive anyway without having to pay a £20 tip

The mushroom and burrata pasta is amazing! The service is very fast and the staff are nice. Was a great experience!

The food was pretty good, the staff were all friendly. They were a but naughty about not pointing out the service charge, it was only that I deliberately checked (the receipt had been folded so you couldn't see) the bottom of the receipt to make sure, that I knew. Also the receipt dose not show the price with the charge, you are just told the total you are paying by card which is 10% higher than the receipt. This didn't spoil a pleasant evening.

Good food just like all Zizzi restaurants if a little over priced compared to independent Italian restaurants.

This Zizzi location stands out as one of the best I've visited. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, creating a wonderful dining experience. The staff were exceptionally polite and attentive, enhancing the overall experience with their superb service. On top of that, the discounts offered made the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Was really quiet and fairly cold but staff were lovely and food was good.

Zizzi has had refurb and still has a great atmosphere and friendly, efficient staff. However, portion sizes have reduced. My ravioli had virtually no sauce so was very dry. My friend asked for the vegan pizza without the cheese but rather than compensate with extra tomato, it was very dry and crisp. Hope it improves because it’s a great venue!

the delivery guy did not arrive

Just had a lovely afternoon with my daughter and two grandsons, didn’t book, was shown straight to a table and looked after by the lovely Emily !! Her smile and customer service was first class, she also took the time to interact with a very chatty 6 year old !!! Everything was amazing!! 🍽️🥂 5 Star!! ⭐

Great experience, Tilly was fantastic

The setting and ambiance of the restaurant were really pleasant. However, even though we had mentioned it was a birthday event and requested a cake when making the reservation, no arrangements were made. Furthermore, the table for four was very small, as were the portions, and there wasn’t enough space for our belongings and coats.

We could choose where we sat, staff were attentive when needed and food was lovely.

The staff were nice, and attentive. The pizza was delicious, but a bit pricey. I dined in alone, one pizza and one drink was £25 so very expensive lunch.

Town centre resturant: good choice on the menu including a kids option. Good atmosphere: friendly, attentive staff. Nice vibe about the place . Food was generally okay but my chicken milanese was well overcooked. Shame as it detracted from the experience.

Was very disappointed, was close to 2 hours waiting on food had to re heat in microwave when it had arrived. Actually rang the restaurant and was told I would receive a full refund and would get an email confirming that but that has not happened. Shame as we love zizzi food but the service has let us down big time😕

So there were 7 of us going for tea on our first visit to Newcastle and decided to go to zizzi. The place looked and smelt fantastic. But unfortunately, that's where it ended. The food was average at best. There's nothing to shout about. The pepperoni pizza was takeaway standard. The lasagne and the tortellini were so small we were still hungry afterwards. The bill came to £141 and when we went to pay with cash, the lady said we don't give change. When asked, he was told they don't hold cash on the premises. Well, I'm sorry you weren't getting a £19 tip. For mediocre service by staff just out of school. And average food. A tip was left. But unfortunately we would never go back. On a plus note the children loved their meals.

Okay, so we don’t normally eat at chain restaurants. My 9 year old daughter was in hospital in Newcastle and she decided she wanted to go to Zizzi after her operation, she is the boss so off we went. She was in a wheelchair at the time and the guy serving made a beeline for her, sat for a minute chatting to her then asked her if she wanted a colouring sheet, she didn’t and the guy took our drinks order and went off. 10 minutes later he came back with a brand new pack of PlayDoh which he had obviously been to a shop for, such a thoughtful thing to do!! We ordered food, which came quickly and was lovely, my daughter was tired now so we asked for the bill. The same guy came over and said it was on the house, then stipulated that the money saved should used to buy a gift for my daughter. Random acts of kindness are few and far between nowadays, this man truly made our day. Ziizi should be proud to have employees like this Darren - Thank you so much. ❤️

Fantastic food as always. The organic primitivo red wine is superb. Great service from Dominic. Newcastle Zizzi never fails to impress.

My wife is gluten free and chose the prawn linguine. At the time everything seemed alright until we got home. Having nothing else to eat or drink that evening she was then violently sick throughout the night and is still unwell four days later. I have responded to their feedback form but have had no reply.

Mostly unhygienic... Spanish server hand grating cheese on a customer's pasta plate without washing hands from prior clearing of other tables 🤮

Was really looking forward to having their lasagne delivered after having it in the restaurant. When it came it just looked like a bowl of slop, no sign of crispy breadcrumbs on top (just parsley, why parsley on lasagne?) and the portion was really small, for the price I would expect a decent portion. Same with the cheesecake, too small for the price. Total rip off. Lesson learned, won't order takeaway again, and it's put me off going back to the restaurant too.
