Okay, so we don’t normally eat at chain restaurants. My 9 year old daughter was in hospital in Newcastle and she decided she wanted to go to Zizzi after her operation, she is the boss so off we went. She was in a wheelchair at the time and the guy serving made a beeline for her, sat for a minute chatting to her then asked her if she wanted a colouring sheet, she didn’t and the guy took our drinks order and went off. 10 minutes later he came back with a brand new pack of PlayDoh which he had obviously been to a shop for, such a thoughtful thing to do!! We ordered food, which came quickly and was lovely, my daughter was tired now so we asked for the bill. The same guy came over and said it was on the house, then stipulated that the money saved should used to buy a gift for my daughter. Random acts of kindness are few and far between nowadays, this man truly made our day. Ziizi should be proud to have employees like this Darren - Thank you so much. ❤️

My wife is gluten free and chose the prawn linguine. At the time everything seemed alright until we got home. Having nothing else to eat or drink that evening she was then violently sick throughout the night and is still unwell four days later. I have responded to their feedback form but have had no reply.

Very friendly waiter called Roberto. Food was lovely. Very accommodating to allergies.

Would definitely come back here. Came for a quick meal and the food was absolutely brilliant, along with the service. Dominic went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience, fast and efficient service and extremely friendly.

We came here on Sunday 11th August around 7pm as part of my 40th birthday celebrations. Lovely welcome when we arrives. Had just finished our starter when the fire alarm went off, we had to evacuate. One of the staff, think called Dave explained that they had to wait for the fire brigade as the alarm box wasn't working for them to turn it off. He explained that we can just leave and there wouldn't be a charge for what we already had as they didn't know how long it would be. We waited for a bit but decided to leave as we were starving. However we love zizzi and had a other night in town. We decided to go back on Monday 12th August at 6.30. Hayley greeted us and we explained about thr might before as she said she had just been told. Dave was there and recognised us from the night before and came and chatted to us. The food was lush as always and great service. When we came to ask for the bill Dominic came over to say that we didn't have to pay and it was on them. All because we had missed out the night before and had the issue with the fire alarm. We asked if they were sure as we didn't pay for our drinks or starter. They were adamant that we didn't have to pay. Well that just made my birthday celebrations even better. Thank you so much x

James was a very good host and was happy to get us extra water for the table. We had a very enjoyable experience and the food was very prompt.

Food pretty good across a party of 4 except a pasta main that was bland and a bit too al dente. Quick delivery of all courses and friendly service. Set menus good value but the final bill mounts with expensive drinks (same as everywhere now).

Thank you so much Zizzi, we came just before my daughter went for a major operation at the RVI. The food and service was great, she loved it. When we asked where she wanted to go once we could leave the ward she picked Zizzi. When we arrived my daughter was asked if she wanted crayons I joked that she was too old for crayons and asked if he had any slime. 10 minutes later the member of staff came back with a play doe set, he had been round the shops and could not find slime but had actually left work to go and buy her something to play with this was so kind. The meal and the drinks and the service were really good. When I asked for the bill, the same member of staff came over and said Zizzi were not charging us and to spend the money we would’ve spent on the meal on my daughter and her friend. They are both 9 and battling cancer, the kindness of the member of staff and Zizzi was overwhelming. Thank you so much you made 2 little girl who are going through a hell of a time very happy. The ended up in Fenwicks to spend the money. We will never forget your kindness x

The food was great, recommend the pork, though the service leaves you with much to desire. The staff were great in finding us a table without booking however the service was incredibly slow and it appeared some staff would avoid eye contact, making it difficult to order further drinks or the bill. Overall we had a nice time with nice food and vibe.

Good restaurant, found beer, fries and gluten-free pizza.....really good pizza. Be careful of intolerances.....very good

Great for quick meal on a work trip.

I booked this venue for a family meal. Booked online very easily for 12 people. When we arrived we saw put us at a large table right at the serving hatch and as we got seated, a waiter with a bit of a comb over tutted at me as he was trying to get plates to take to customers. If the table us in the way, don't put it there!!! However once we got seated and our lovely waiter came over, our meal was superb. He was polite and friendly and super helpful. Our food was delicious and came surprisingly quickly. Everyone agreed it was delicious. Several of our group had a pulled pork pizza which we can recommend. Overall, really good and will be back. Limited parking on grey street. Disabled access and toilet downstairs if required. Decent menu and choice of drinks.

My friend and I come to this restaurant at least twice a month as we are students and get 30%off on food. And untill yesterday (Thursday)it was one of our favourite places.well unfortunately this time we were served by a miserable face man wearing a plaid shirt (not wearing uniform so I guees he is part of your management team) taking the order with an straight face and not engagement at all. Once the food came we asked for condiments for our fries and they never came. I was offered parmesan cheese in a really rude maners, no checkback (my pasta was dry and I would loved some.more sauce if poss) so I couldn't ask and once he cleared our mains he didn't even bring desserts menu for us. Obviously during our dinner apparently he iwas having fun with the team and smiling but we felt completely ignored and unwelcome. I am sorry as I feel bad leaving this review but honestly his attitude ruined our meal. The guy who we asked for the bill wasn't the same guy that served us. Hopefully next time we have a better experience. Thank you Maria

Beautiful food and great midweek offers

Nice restaurant and good staff - view of kitchen and pizza oven was great - food/drink was a bit on the expensive side but quality was very good. Mocha was very nice, just wish the coffees were a little bigger for the price!

We couldn’t decide where to lunch, we saw the lovely seating outside Zizzi and decide to go in. There was a large hen party in, but the staff were attentive to everyone and the food wasn’t delayed at all! Great value for money, would highly recommend whilst visiting Newcastle

Zizi is my go to pizza place for vegan food. They have perfected the vegan options. A lot of places over complicate vegan options, Zizi don't. I love this, it makes ordering vegan food not seem so abnormal. The vegan margarita pizza is amazing. I love to dip my chips in the "cheese", it tastes amazing. The garlic bread, also never disappoints. I have been ordering from this Zizi, for years and every experience has been great. I would recommend.

Never received my order. Said delivered but I n ver received. Very disappointed as I spent £30 in a pizza which I never received. I will now have to wait until the morning until I can eat. Very disappointing in all services

Myself and 3 friends had a meal here prior to going to the theatre last night. We had an absolutely brilliant night out and our meal at Zizzi's was superb. We all had a starter, main course and a desert and were in agreement that everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. We agreed that we would certainly return on other visits to Newcastle!

Food was freezing cold and lacking in toppings. Some toppings were incorrect on the pizzas and didn’t match descriptions.

We went to this restaurant for dinner with friends and had a pleasant time there. The food was well cooked. The servers were adorable. On the other hand, the pizzas, although large, were very thin. This left us a little hungry. It is nevertheless a good Italian restaurant. The setting is pleasant.

We were served by Elliot (Newcastle) and he was fab! he welcomed us with a friendly smile and great service. thank you for making our night.

We have just had a delicious meal in Zizzi's in Newcastle. The staff couldn't have been nicer! I have coeliac disease and my daughter has some allergies. To be honest going out for meals isn't as relaxing as it used to be but I have to commend the staff in Zizzi's. My daughter and I were made to feel extremely welcome and we felt so comfortable and safe eating here. My daughter even said it was the best garlic bread she had ever had. We have had a lovely meal, the atmosphere was great and the staff were brilliant. Thank you, we'll definitely be back!

This place takes ages to order and the toilets are in a creepy basement and the pizza is as flat as a paper towel and isn’t that nice
