Lovely staff, happy to help and offer takeaway, one girl who had a hello kitty sticker on was very lovely. Great food served fresh and hot. Nice atmosphere. The main highlight for me though is the chairs! the blue ones with the singular back supports. Best chairs Ive ever sat on.

Delicious food and fantastic service. Carbonara was recommended to me and it was brilliant. Everyone was delighted with their dishes. Mr. Łukasz took care of the great atmosphere and helped a lot in choosing dishes. I recommend!

Great starters, bad pasta dishes

Went with a group meal & the organisation was a mess, people were finishing their food before some even got theirs. No set-up to have food to go to each person so searching who ordered what on numerous tables. The food was great tho & despite staff rushed off their feet were courteous & polite. And a person with a mobility disability, I was disappointed that the disabled toilet was out of action as the lock was broken. So I was forced to use the other toilets in the basement which wasn't easy. Definitely go again but not as a large group & when it's a lot quieter with a working disabled toilet.

Terrible service. We walked in yesterday evening, out of the rain, on the off chance there was a table for two available. No one at the front desk, people in front of us just waiting around and people cramming in behind us. We ask if there’s a table for two and just get told “No.” The half shaved guy with a bun then immediately turned to the people behind us. Initially we thought it was sarcasm, that’s how rude he was! Made us both feel really uncomfortable, we won’t be coming back, even with a booking.

From the man who greeted us and sat is at our table to the service throughout by Megan, it was fantastic. The food was beautiful as was the wine and atmosphere. Great pre-mercury pantomime dinner.

Wouldn’t use Zizzi again. Placed my order at 4pm, over 3 hours in advance. I assume they chose to prioritise in restaurant customers as the delivery time just kept going back. Don’t think they should be on this service as it reflects badly on just eat and is unfair on your customers.

Me and my three friends came for our friends birthday. We didn’t book a table but they managed to fit us in. They also brought our friends cupcakes over. The manager was friendly as always, we used to come in a lot and loved it and we still do! Thanks for making our friends birthday extra special. X

We came to you as first time customers on Saturday night at 8pm as a meal for my sisters birthday before heading off to the theatre for 9.30. The lady who came to us at the door said we could have a table as we'd not booked, but would be be quick - we said we would definitely be just eating and leaving and explained we had to be at the theatre for 9.30. She sat us at table no. 6 and gave us menus. We'd only been sat for a couple of minutes when a male waiter appeared at the table - he said in a LOUD voice - YES? - he had no name badge, he was about 6ft tall, dark hair all black clothing, he had an accent but cant place his nationality. We looked up at him - he then said - I've been told you're in a hurry - i've got a room full of people upstairs - what drinks do you want? We placed our drink order - shocked!! The drinks arrived to the table by him - he slammed them all down in front of me, loudly, all of them !!! didn't place any drinks in front of the person who'd ordered them. A few minutes later, he was back - YES !!! It was at this point that i said to him - Did you mean to ask if we are ready to order?? - He said yes, you're in a hurry !!! - i have to say, that AT NO POINT - did we state we were in a hurry!! - we initially told the lady at the door that we would be eating and leaving due to not booking. Our food arrived - all dishes were delicious We noticed on all the other tables and those people arriving after us that they all had a small bowl of something placed in front of them when they sat down - We did not get this given to us and we asked the lady who had seated us what it was, she brought some to us!! Once we'd finished our meal we were waiting a while - we asked for the bill I noticed on the serviette that there was a QR code for the Zizzi app - I downloaded this while we waited. The same waiter brought the bill over, the same horrid attitude One of us was paying cash and the other 2 were paying by card He stuffed the card reader under my nose and i paid - I asked him how I get the points for the visit via the app - he told me - ITS TOO LATE NOW - You've paid!! Why did he not ask if we had the app?? Why did he not encourage us to download and use the app?? Very very disappointed in the service received The food was lovely, the other staff here were lovely - this individual person was awful - he had a bad attitude, gave bad service and was just generally so rude! I didn't see if he was equally rude to others or if it was just aimed at us but we all left very upset by the whole experience. It was not a good first experience of Zizzi and ruined my sisters birthday evening.

Both the items were cold. Pizza looks burnt at the base. Arancini pieces were in an open bag and had fallen out of it into the main bag. Ordering first time from Zizzi but extremely unhappy with the experience.

The pizza was freezing, literally like it was out of a freezer, food was all cold and soggy not impressed after spending £54!! Awful will never use again

A strange experience. When we arrived, we didn’t get shown to a table and were told to just sit anywhere. The waiter didn’t seem interested in taking anyone’s order and we had to get his attention numerous times to be served. There also seemed to be some staff meeting going on in the middle of the restaurant which made us feel like we weren’t supposed to be there. The food came quick enough once ordered but was cold unfortunately.

Had a fantastic experience tonight at ZiZi, managed to squeeze us in eventhough we hadn't booked a table. Tracy was great and gave fantastic recommendations on what to order, food was amazing!! . Haven't been to somewhere with food so nice and an atmosphere to match in a long while. Will be back.

Food was really nice I had prawns they where cooked perfectly and where delicious. The set menu at £26 I thought was well worth it .

Fabulous food and a great experience for lunch with a friend

Even though this restaurant was busy, Tracie and Sam made us feel very welcome and as though we were VIPs. That was our first visit to this restaurant and it certainly won't be our last. We walked in as strangers and left feeling like friends. The food was yummy too 😋

This restaurant never fails to bring me the best dining experience possible 💕 If you want a warm/loving welcome you'll always find it here, as the manager lukaz, never fails to bring a smile 💗 Megan, who has served my boyfriend and I a few times now, is a perfect example of a great server! She is excellent at all aspects of what her position requires 💓 The food is BRILLIANT! All I can say is if you love Italian, PLEASE dine here and treat yourself! Xx

First time coming here and the staff + food was amazing!! We did the 3 course set menu for £25 (I think it was this) and it was delicious!! Staff were super friendly and polite and the atmosphere was cosy, perfect for my friends birthday! 100% recommend x

We had a delicious pizza and piqquante calzone which wee absolutely amazing. We then had a lovely tiramisu each to finish. Great hospitality from the staff and nothing was too.much trouble for them.

Had a great night for my daughter’s birthday with the family. Food was lovely, great atmosphere and the staff made it an extra special night by joking with us. They brought out a desert with a candle so we could sing happy birthday. Loved it. Thank you. X

Have been going to Zizzi for several years and have to say the last time I went about a year ago I was not that impressed. However gave it a go again this week and much better. The service was great, especially our waitress, did not catch her name but young with blond hair. The food was very good and decent value. Will go back.

Original estimated time was 25 minutes was actually around 45 minutes. Great food when arrived though.

We had a really lovely evening at Zizzi’s in Colchester on Friday night. Megan was our waitress and she had a lot of tables to take care of but served us quickly and efficiently. She came back to check everything was ok with our meal, as well as taking orders for a large party of guests next to us. When the till system was playing up when we came to pay she was very patient and apologetic and eventually managed to get it to work. She really was an asset to your restaurant! She makes delicious cocktails too! Our meals were all great, compliments to your chefs! Thank you for a great evening. We will be back! Becky x

I came here with my friends for my birthday and had the loveliest time! The staff were so friendly and it made my birthday!

I generally tend to steer clear of these kind of chain restaurants but was out voted and ended up visiting with family. What I experienced was absolutely spot on to what I was expecting. The staff were pleasant enough but I could tell that the site has weak management as many of these places do. All the usual elements of the service cycle were missing. We were sat for a good 10 mins before anyone offered us a drink. The food came quickly enough but there was a dish missing which my partner had to wait for whilst everyone else started eating. There was no check back on any of our 3 courses. The cutlery was used and cleared after the starters, not re laid; subsequently our food arrived and we had no cutlery to eat it with. This took a few mins to be resolved. The deserts also arrived before the cutlery. I asked for another pot of garlic sauce, that never came. No one offered us drinks at all beyond the first round we ordered. Had they of done so then id of likely said yes and spent more money. We handed a birthday cake to the waitress on arrival and asked for it to be bought out at the end, we forgot and the waitress forgot. She did our payments, said her goodbyes and then bought the cake out still in its box. This was as much our fault as it was hers but there was certainly an opportunity there for her to be more attentive and go the extra mile. That situation would’ve played out differently in other places where the staff are dialled in and the shift is being managed properly. The food wasn’t bad at all and the restaurant was immaculate throughout and is clearly well looked after. Over all disappointing, just such basic stuff from the customer journey missing. I’ve seen it time and time again and this was not the worst experience I’ve ever had but I certainly wouldn’t go back. You’re in a saturated market and service/detail is everything.

Food had been dropped on the floor by the driver and scrapped off the pathway/road and brought to our door.Driver did admit to dropping it but how disgusting to then give it to us and not say it had gone all over the pathway and had dirt etc in it

A quiet Sunday lunch for two, so atmosphere score a bit down, but service was excellent. The food was fine, but the belly pork was a bit dry.

It was really hot inside, no air con. The food was ok, nothing special. The waiter seemed like he couldn't be bothered to be there.

Took ages to arrive and wasn’t very hot but it did taste nice. Second time this has been the case puts me off ordering takeaway from there again.

The set menu has some good deals. There is a good selection of of various Italian foods beyond pizza and pasta. The staff are attentive.

Food is alright. There is a chubby guy working there, who's super rude. He should know there might be people around him that understands Italian and can't randomly insult people!

Good service and a nice varied menu. Food was good but not fantastic, typical chain food really. Tables were very small and close together meaning that it was a bit awkward with plates and glasses or if someone was sat right behind or next to you.

Lolo and Sam have been extremely helpful and helped us with a birthday celebration. They have been really kind and helpful. The staff is excellent.

We went to Zizi's without knowing the area very well.We started by looking at the atmosphere ,which was beautiful,the toilets were very clean as well.The food was delicious with many unique flavours. Our server ,Izzy ,was so kind and smiling always.She also gave us advice and information about Colchester. She also related very well with other customers in the restraunt and was very friendly to kids and adults.On the whole ,I would really recommend coming here.

Great pizza for a 21st birthday celebration, but what made the difference was the fantastic customer service after we were accidentally billed twice. Lucas worked very hard to make sure we were refunded as soon as we made him aware. Bravo! Top customer focus.

Lolo was a great hostess, very friendly and made sure we were sat quick and served after a long day on the road. The food was high quality and left feeling very full from what is a good selection of Italian food. Shame we didn’t have room for dessert maybe next time !

My friends and I had a lovely night, the atmosphere was very warm and friendly and the hostess Lolo was a delight she made our experience, recommending bushes such as the goat cheese ravioli’s eh I my friend loved.

Horrible, the food was burnt and the lasagna was terrible. Plus, my potatoes didn't come! Money thrown in the trash.

Stopped here for dinner, cannot fault the food. Split olives and garlic bread to start and then had the King Prawn Linguine and Spaghetti Pomodoro which were both top notch. Service was lacking - they are running deliveries for Zizzi and Coco Di Mama out of the establishment and seem to be prioritising getting these delivery orders out rather than serving the patrons dining in. Waited 25 minutes between starter before having to ask where our mains were, at which point the kitchen began preparing them. Table next to us also had order problems as one person was served their meal with the other waiting 10 minutes. A shame as the food was impeccable but if they cannot keep up with orders of their dine in customers might be best to stop taking delivery orders until you have caught up.

Food is special and great for people with allergies. The service is great. The space is small and tables are almost attached to each other which was not comfortable

Food : very small portions and even more expensive. Moreover, the food was served cold and tasteless. Service: It is the worst service I have ever seen in my life. Not only the staff but also when we ask the manager if the staff’s attitude was acceptable, her respond was even more impolite and unprofessional.
