I had a great time having dinner with my friends at Zizzi. The pasta was delicious, it definitely exceeded our expectations. All dishes were served promptly and the staff made sure to check everything was to our liking. The waitress Lindsay was specially friendly and sweet to us. Would definitely recommend!

This afternoon, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at Zizzi in Chiswick. As frequent patrons, we were delighted to find that our favorite spot exceeded our expectations once again. The service was impeccable, and the staff were exceptional. Our meals arrived promptly and were cooked to perfection. Our waitress went above and beyond, offering helpful insights into the Zizzi app rewards and ensuring we were well-informed. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend Zizzi for any occasion, whether it's a party, family gathering, or simply a delightful evening out.

Title: Unacceptable Conduct: Racism and Poor Customer Service at Zizi's It is with deep disappointment and a heavy heart that I feel compelled to recount my recent experience at Zizi's. What should have been a pleasant dining occasion turned into a distressing encounter, marred by racism and abysmal customer service, all under the oversight of a manager who flagrantly disregarded professionalism. Upon entering Zizi's, the first red flag was immediately apparent: the manager, conspicuously not in uniform, greeted us with a dismissive nod rather than the warm welcome one would expect from a reputable establishment. However, this initial discomfort paled in comparison to the blatant racism that followed. Throughout our meal, my party and I felt an unwelcome chill in the air, as if our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity for Zizi's to showcase their hospitality. This feeling of alienation was exacerbated by the manager's behavior, who seemed to go out of their way to avoid our table and failed to address our inquiries with even a modicum of courtesy. Worst of all was the unmistakable undercurrent of racism that permeated the entire experience. From subtle microaggressions to outright dismissiveness, it was abundantly clear that our presence as people of color was not valued nor respected. The lack of diversity among the staff only served to amplify this sense of exclusion, as it became painfully apparent that Zizi's was not a place where all patrons were made to feel welcome. In today's society, where inclusivity and equality are rightfully championed, it is utterly unacceptable for any establishment to foster an environment tainted by racism and discrimination. As such, I implore Zizi's management to reflect deeply on their actions and take meaningful steps towards rectifying the toxic culture that permeates their establishment. In conclusion, my experience at Zizi's was nothing short of a harrowing reminder of the pervasive nature of racism in our society. Until concrete measures are taken to address these issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend Zizi's to any individual, regardless of their background. It is my fervent hope that by shedding light on my experience, we can work towards a future where all individuals are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Food was good, service was poor. Took a long time to be served. Had to go and get my own high chair for baby. Five staff stood behind the bar chatting not working for a lot of the time (literally five people). Didn't seem to prioritise visiting customers over takeaways. Nobody came to check on us at any point during meal. Food was tasty, fresh. Portions were a little bit small but perhaps that's a good thing. Wouldn't go back in a hurry. Shame because I've been before and really enjoyed.

Nice place and clean. The staff were friendly. The food was good. The only issue is for the price, I did not find the food of a high enough standard. Everything was ok, but apart from the Prawn Skewers, the rest of the dishes were very middle of the road. The Rustic Pizzas were very light on the toppingd the crust was much too thin, which resulted in a crunchy texture. It's not a great pizza experience for the prices I paid. Dare I say, Pizza Express have them beat in this area. Another missed opportunity was to have gone to Franca Manca for Pizza's.

Celebrated a birthday here. Brilliant restaurant set up as had our own private area with fantastic service! The food was spot on and delicious although the alcoholic drinks I think are way over priced. £12 for a vodka was just too steep! Nice mocktails and wine on the menu. The food was fantastic - good portions and very tasty. The children’s menu lacks variety compared to other similar restaurants and portions are extremely small. Overall had a great time and would definitely go again.

Two friends and I wanted to treat ourselves to a special lunch on that cold winter's day, all craving pasta! Zizzi's was the right place to go- we were seated immediately and had trouble choosing as there were many interesting options. If I remember correctly, my one friend had a beef ragu with pappardelle, the other had a three-cheese pasta, and I had some casareccia. Everything we had was absolutely delicious, and the pasta perfectly al dente (as it has to be!). The portions were generous and we definitely would have had dessert if it hadn't been for us running out of time at the end.. The service was prompt and polite, we felt very well looked after. I usually fall into the habit of always getting the calzone pollo spinachi (BEST calzone in London, I have yet to find better!), but now will definitely be trying more of the pasta! I've always loved the attention to detail at Zizzi's - little things like the fresh cheese of which you can have as much as you want, or how a dessert cake will arrive warm so that the accompanying scoop of ice cream will melt over it just perfectly. All in all, Zizzi's Chiswick is a fool-proof place to take your guests for a delicious meal with generous portions, and a variety of choice with something for everyone.

The food was quite nice, but we felt like it should've been better for the price, or a bit cheaper. I thought the pork was a bit on the fatty side, and my partner's lasagna had too much bechamel to have a pleasing balance. The place seems popular with teenagers and people with children, and has a bright, lively ambience, which is great if that's what you're looking for, but it's the wrong vibe for a romantic date. The white wine was fine, and I enjoyed my cocktail, which was very weak, but I personally don't mind that... you might, though. The tables were pretty tightly packed together, again not conducive to an intimate date. It was difficult not to overhear everything our neighbours were saying, and eventually one of our table neighbours started talking to us. It was understandable, considering the close proximity, but also not ideal. The venue is attractive, albeit a little vibrant, inside and out, and the staff were friendly and honest. I'd only give our overall experience 3 stars, but I'm going to say 4 because some of our issues with the place are due to preference rather than a failing on the restaurant's part.

Literally full of screaming kids. Now this isn’t the fault of the restaurant, but of the parents who seem to think it’s okay to let their kids run absolute riot, in and out of both toilets for the 90 minutes we were there and the staff didn’t say a word. We were quickly seated at a great table and served drinks quickly, the starters were good but no sooner had they taken the starter plates the main was there, and on arrival it had that crust on top where you know it had been kept warm for a good few minutes. That said the food was tasty but very over seasoned. A good Italian just shouldn’t be salty. So, all in the food was okay, the service from our server was good but on the night we came, it was more like a crèche and the staff just wouldn’t say a word. And yes we have kids, three of them and no we dont let them run around restaurant tables.

The waiting staff are clueless, it is totally obvious that they have received little to no training on how to wait on tables. My wife's starter was brought out ahead of all the main courses when we explicitly said on ordering that all food should come at the same time. When we complained, it was taken back never to appear again! Again complained and she received a totally different starter instead. Not once were we asked if everything was ok, this Zizzis used to be fine but I'd avoid it like the plague now.

Been coming to Zizzi in Chiswick since last year. Always happy with everything but this time? A joke when it comes to food portions and prices. Pizza was half a size of the board and not topped very well which contributed to the dryness and lasagna less than a half of the plate. Seems like they run out of food and we got the left overs. Plus so many kids and the place was just loud and cold and not cosy at all. Also on garlic bread there was no sticker “vegan” even though we mentioned we are vegan so not actually if we have been served vegan garlic bread. Left unhappy and disappointed

Multiple things were not up to our expectations: - the service is absent, it's impossible to get waiters attention to order or get the bill and I saw other customers also struggling with that. Definitely not enough staff for a Friday night. -there's no outside sitting in the evening becuse restaurant doesn't have a license. Outside sitting was one of the reasons I booked the table as its a nice warm evening -my husbands pizza contained slice of a pork sausage which is not the ingredient for that pizza (he is a muslim and doesn't eat pork) but given the poor service we didn't feel like complaining and waiting for another pizza for him -they restaurant run out of chilli peppers so the pizza wasn't as spicy as it should be (as per ingredients listed) Definitely won't be coming back, I'm happy they have the -25% on food in September so I didn't pay full price

Took my teenage kids for a treat as it looked pretty but the food was bland and service terrible-it wasn’t even busy so no excuse for the poor service. Not once were we asked if our meals were ok, we had to get their attention every time we wanted something and by which point had finished the course before what we asked for was brought out I.E sauces. Cocktails were shockingly bad-tasted like juice out of a bottle. Had the wrong meal brought out for one of use so didn’t even eat our mains together yet they still tried to charge for the wrong meal plus the right meal as well as aioli which we didn’t even receive. Not even a goodbye when we left. I usually always leave a tip but didn’t this occasion. Such a shame and not on par with other Zizzi restaurants we’ve been to in other places. Pizza was burnt underneath too and hardly any toppings. Generally a poor experience and disappointment to what should have been an end of summer holiday treat. Over £100 for three meals wasted-wish we had gone elsewhere! Even the couple on the table next to us complained. With the cost of living at the moment you expect a better service and especially as this is a chain restaurant in an affluent area.

We visited on Sunday afternoon with our 2 year old and it was a complete disaster. All the staff working seem to be in training and nobody seems to know what they’re meant to do. We ordered from the kids menu for our daughter and instead of bringing the starter first and then then main, everything was brought together. This was really overwhelming for a 2 year old and obviously she wasn’t going to eat the veggie sticks from her starter when the main had arrived. The main was also wrong. When we confronted the waiter we were told that he would go and check but he didn’t bother coming back. We had to go ourselves to the serving area to see what was going on. It was a complete shambles and the main my daughter was served was inedible dry spaghetti bolognese. I then ended up having to plate up half my pasta so she had something to eat as she was so hungry at this point. There was no apology or explanation given. I would also stay away from the free pasta chips they serve- they were stale and had been sitting out for hours before. If that is what is meant to make up for the poor service, they you may need to rethink this. When we came to pay £56 for a substandard meal we were charged more because apparently the waiter didn’t know how to put 0.00 for gratuity. We did in fact unwillingly tip for the incredibly bad service we received. And weren’t even made aware of this, until we received the receipt. I would avoid at all costs and head over the road to pizza express!

This is probably one of the most disappointing Zizi’s I’ve been to. We were a large group celebrating a birthday so you tend to give a little bit of grace when it comes to service, after all we were a large group. For context, large, was a group of 17. We had one waitress and the restaurant was relatively empty (Sunday afternoon). Service took a very long time and the staff were quite dismissive. We all ate at different times and my food was burnt. Couldn’t face sending it back because I didn’t want to have to wait half an hour for some garlic bread. One diner sent her entire meal back. Overall, a very disappointing experience. We considered asking for service charge to be removed as we had to make our way to the front counter if we wanted something, but we appreciate that the job is not an easy one so we left it on there. Company - great, food - below average, service - pretty poor

My advice: learn from our abysmal dining experience and avoid this place. Rather spend your hard-earned money at an establishment that actually values and respects their customers enough to make an effort, where the operation is run smoothly, where the kitchen staff prepare the dishes as they are described on their menu without omitting two-thirds of the ingredients, and where the wait staff provide polite and attentive service. When I telephoned ahead to check that my Tesco Clubcard voucher would be accepted, and if there were any special terms or restrictions for their use, the woman I spoke to said I had to make a reservation, so I did, even spelling out my surname to her. But when we arrived that evening and the man at the front desk searched all through the reservations book, my name was nowhere on it! However, as the restaurant was not even half full, we had a vast selection of tables to choose from. So why did the woman insist I had to make a reservation, and what did she do with my reservation details? This was a pointless exercise and a waste of time. Unfortunately this was only just the start of their chaotic ineptitude. There is not one dedicated waiter for your table; random different staff will deliver dishes to you: we ended up dealing with five different wait staff. The first waitress came along mere moments after we had sat down, and far too soon for us to have had a chance to read and make our choices from the menu. We asked her for more time, but when we were ready to order a few minutes later, a different waitress arrived. Despite the restaurant being half empty, the wait staff were almost never in sight, unless they were delivering items to tables, which they did in the manner of a 'drive-by shooting', pausing only long enough when they reach a table in order to set down a dish, before speeding off to another table or back to the kitchen, without saying a word to any diner or checking if things are ok. My daughter had ordered a bottled ale. This was delivered by a third waiter. Very weirdly, he dropped off the opened bottle and a beer glass filled to the brim with ice. Who drinks any kind of beer with ice? As the waiter had sped off immediately before my daughter could say anything, we had to flag down another waiter to ask that they remove the ice and bring the glass back empty. When my daughter tried the ale, she found it a bit bitter, so wanted some lemon to squeeze in. She eventually managed to flag down another waitress. My daughter asked her for 2 lemon wedges for squeezing into her beer, even miming the action. On the waitress's next sprint through, she dropped off a saucer with what turned out to be four round lemon slices, so thinly cut that you could see through them – and impossible to squeeze. The next time my daughter managed to attract the waitress’ attention, she explained and demonstrated again: just 2 wedges, to squeeze into the beer. On the waitress’ next sprint through, she dropped off an entire, uncut lemon (and no knife)! Is this some weird DIY set-up, where diners have to prepare food items themselves? The third time my daughter managed to intercept the waitress on her way somewhere else, she asked again for lemon wedges, demonstrating to the waitress on the whole lemon how a couple of wedges could be cut off. Finally, some oddly-cut wedges (mostly flesh, very little rind to hold onto) were delivered, more than 10 minutes after my daughter had received her drink. We had ordered a selection of starters and side dishes to share. The waitress delivered them all at once, rushing off immediately without identifying any of them. One of the side dishes is described in the menu as “Rainbow Heritage Carrots: Heritage carrots with spinach and garlic”. However, all that was on the plate was a handful of carrot lengths. By the time we managed to flag down the waitress again, the carrots were already cold. She took the dish back to the kitchen, and redelivered it with four wilted baby spinach leaves placed on top of the now stone-cold carrots. As far as we could see, there was still no garlic. She sped off immediately, without either an apology or an explanation about why the cook had prepared, and she had delivered, a dish containing only 1 of the 3 ingredients it was meant to have. Since our visit I have looked at their menu online, where photographs are next to the description of each dish. The amended dish we were given looks nothing like the photographed dish on the menu, which is shown with lots of spinach and large garlic slivers scattered over the carrots. There were no salt or pepper mills on the table; looking around the restaurant, we saw most other tables, both empty and occupied, were also lacking these. I got up and walked around to find a waiter, and then saw a whole collection of salt and pepper mills stacked on a shelf on a wall near the reception. As there were no staff anywhere around to ask, I served myself by taking a pair for my table. Another side dish we had ordered was listed on the menu as: “Fried Purple Gnocchi: Crispy gnocchi dumplings”, and marked as vegan. It was delivered in a small bowl set atop a larger plate that also held a small dish containing a clear dip. There is no mention of this dip on the menu description of this dish, nor is it depicted in the photograph that is now on the Zizzi online menu. When I finally managed to flag down another staff member, I asked what this dip was, explaining to her that the listing of this dish on the menu did not name any dip, and that the waitress who had delivered it had sped off without saying a word. This older staff member (possibly a manager?) barked out: “Chilli honey” and turned to leave. I had to ask her to stop walking away and explain this, given that the dish is marked on the menu as suitable for vegans (and when the man at the front desk had asked us if we had any dietary restrictions, we told him that we are vegan and that I have an allergy to dairy). When my daughter reached for a menu on an adjacent empty table to show her the menu listing, the waitress told her not to bother, snapping repeatedly “I know my menu”. I was trying to explain that the dip was not even included in the description, that the dish is labelled on the menu as vegan, and that vegans do not eat honey. Her response to this was, “What’s the problem – if it is not vegan, just don’t eat it!”. It was glaringly obvious that the fact that a non-vegan food ingredient is served with a vegan dish, to vegan diners, without any warning, was of absolutely no concern to her. Luckily, neither of us had tried it. She then said that, at the time we were ordering this dish, we should have asked for a vegan dip to be substituted — even though we had no way of knowing that this dish was going to be served with a dip, let alone one that is not vegan! Then she snatched the honey dip from the plate and walked off in a pique, before returning 5 minutes later to slam down a small bowl of vegan garlic dip onto our table before stomping off again. This hostile reaction was completely uncalled for, especially as we had not even asked for another dip: we had merely asked for information about the dip that had come (unannounced) with the order, and once we knew what it contained, queried why a non-vegan dip was being served as part of a vegan dish. Some may think this error is insignificant and/or that are vegan diners do not warrant any concern or due diligence by the retail catering industry, but I would argue that this restaurant’s careless and completely indifferent attitude to checking ingredients against menu descriptions and diners’ dietary requirements could, sooner or later, result in a diner with a life-threatening allergy getting seriously ill, or dying. This is a potential lawsuit waiting to happen. About halfway through our meal, a family we know were seated at a small table adjacent to ours. The children were served first, with large plates and bowls and everyone’s drinks taking up most of the table, so when their waiter finally brought the father’s long ‘rustica’ pizza, there was not enough room for it to fit properly on the table. Instead of taking away the empty glasses and bowls, the waiter placed the long rectangular pizza plate perpendicular to the edge of the table, half on the table and the other half suspended off the table over the father’s lap, then walked away! How on earth was he expected to eat like this? It would have impossible to cut the pizza without tipping the entire plate onto his lap or the floor. After a few minutes it became clear that the waiter was not planning to return to remove anything off their table to fix the problem, so of course we offered up the extra space on our table, helping our friends remove empty glasses and dishes onto our table so that the full length of the pizza plate could fit onto their table. Later, after we had finished our own meal and were waiting for our bill, we were all chatting together. Then another waiter came up, and in a very loud voice, castigated everyone at our table by saying: “Stop talking to our other customers and interrupting them while they are eating.” Our friends had to explain to this officious waiter that (1) we know one another, that (2) we were having a chat, and that (3) it was highly inappropriate for him to take it upon himself to come over to interrupt their meal to tell us off. The waiter said nothing in reply, not even offering up an apology, and then just turned and walked away. When I went to pay my bill, I briefly relayed to the waitress who processed my payment a few of the food and service problems we had encountered, to explain why I would not be including a tip. She appeared shocked, and apologised for our poor dining experience, so she is at least one staff member at this branch who knows what normal customer service standards are. However, the majority of Zizzi staff displayed an attitude of carelessness, indifference, and in two instances, outright hostility.

We are visiting Zizzis the last 4 years and due to heavy family schedule we haven't been there for long. However we booked an evening dinner which was a completely disappointing. Fist we asked for outdoor as my husband is smoking and the day also was lovely for eating outside. The didn't let us as the manager told us that they didn't have enough staff and will not be easy serving us which at the end it's not our fault. Inside was too hot and not pleasant. However Lucie the waiter was the only one who tried to check on us and see if we are happy as she saw our disappointment. She was very friendly and very efficient. The food was average as my husband ordered carbonara with mushrooms and the dish was full of butter and barely any mushrooms. Unfortunately very bad experience as we used to love going to Zizzis as a family but now put as off.

Amazing Service today at Zizzi Chiswick. We were served by Lindsay, an amazing young lady who had the best attitude. Lyndsay was so welcoming, greeted us with a smile, not only that made sure to check in with us throughout our dinner time. This is beyond service, a great example of real hospitality connecting with people. Lyndsay understood the reason for the visit and made sure to give us the best hospitality she can on this evening. Lyndsay also very professional, a true example to many others and a real BRAND ambassador for Zizzi. I straightaway praised Lyndsay with her Manager Berat, who was delighted to hear our thoughts, Berat was fantastic too. Berat gave us a warm goodbye when we were leaving the restaurant. This is all about understanding the customer and giving us an everlasting experience. Well done Lyndsay and Berat, Thank you for making our visit a pleasant one. You both are customer champions in this industry. You both are great, Winners make it happen because its all about people! Please keep smiling :-) Best wishes from us !!

For the first time after the refurbishment, me and my family decided to have dinner at Zizzi (21/02/23), and it was wonderful. The restaurant has a modern but authentic touch to it. The staff are great and easily approachable even at the busiest times. However, we did have to wait a little long for our main courses to arrive, but for good food is worth the wait! My family really enjoyed the atmosphere and were really pleased with the service of the staff as they had consistent smile even without being with the customer. Another reason for my five star review is that the staff were consistent with checking in on our starters, mains and everything else that arrived at our table. I’m amazed and therefore well done Zizzi; keep it going!

Zizzi is a classic "Italian" fast-food restaurant or rather with food that looks like Italian... I knew what to expect, can't give 5 stars, but not even 1 star. But there is much better in the area. I went with my daughter on a Saturday at 12:30, the place was still half empty, so we were lucky enough to be served immediately and with great attention and kindness. The place is nice, not too noisy and overlooks large windows that shows the main road. We have took the £7.25 children's menu which had the choice of a 'starter', main course or pizza and dessert. The drink was not included in the price. Instead I had a pizza and a coke. The pizza is very very thin, the standard is that of Pizza Express. Overall can't say I had a bad time, we have eaten in a relaxed way, the little girl drew all the time with some colors that were given to her by the waitresses. Everything went as planned.

Gross burnt slop - Crab Ricotta Cannelloni special, Pork Belly - overcooked really dry, extremely fatty at a rip off price of £17. Service was a joke - place was empty & the waitress couldn't even clear empty entree plates from our table, which stayed there through our main meals until we left. Even when our mains were delivered it didn't dawn on anyone to remove the blatantly obvious empty plates in the middle of the table!!! Entree Sharing Stack was ok but it had garlic bread which had no garlic at all. I've been eating here for 8yrs when it was great, now with the kitchen staff clearly not caring, the service useless & the manager who I spoke to having no clue whatsoever about how to demand better from her staff - I will NOT return.
