Alex was so lovely, food was amazing, and the food came out very quickly, all around great experience

Came here many years ago & walked straight out. We’ve been loving other Zizzi locations so we wanted to check it out. Glad we did. Same lovely food and well presented restaurant area. Welcomed by a friendly chap with a beard who was great with us. Thank you :-). Lady server helped us with the Zizzi club as I was confused by the Zizzi Pizza app. Thanks to everyone.

Came here for a company meal with good friends and company last week Friday. The food was amazing, the service, cocktails and dessert. We all had an amazing time and can’t thank the team enough for a wonderful time and looking after us. We will definitely be back again in the future.

Zizzi used to be one of my favourite place to go n eat. Nice restaurant, good food and nice view by the river. However, last night experience was putting us off ,can't believe we have been asked for a tip as well after all. We ask for a table for 2, restaurant almost empty, they giving us a table next to 2 other loud people ,and the table was right next to each other (from all this big area ) we ask if we can move towards the door and the guy tells us it is very cold there because of the draft coming through the doors. Instead of giving us a table for 4 people which was on the heater area and I repet the restaurant was almost empty (3-4 people inside )to look after the customers, they sending us there . Obviously had to eat with my coat on, and it was so cold. I was hungry and i couldn't be bothered to go find another place . I was eating in this cold .While I decide what to eat we are being told we should've have 50% off of the mains but the sistem "doesn't work" from the office so they can't give us this . I was like it isn't the customer fault is it ? Change us less then. We can't he said , that's why we are letting you know now so you decide if you want to proceed. Like if u don't like it basically you can go. Shocking 😵 .Excuse me but if you have an offer, the customer comes expecting that and you don't help in any way all you tell them is: u better pay the full price or go we don't care, nothing we can do. We ordered the food which was quick to arrive like I said 3 people in the restaurant wasn't that difficult, anyways food was excellent. While I talk to my partner and I'm eating we have been bothered so many times asling us how is everything. If I need smth , I'll ask you don't need to disturb me all the time .No offence but all I need and want is peace. Leave me alone to eat my food. They brought us some complementary pastas 3-5 pastas in a bowl. I remember the time you used to offer half of the paper bag with this.And pizzas used to be normal price, not 20£/ pizza like now and you still offered us more. Now, you can't afford anymore seems like . My partner needs to wash his hands before we go and he comes back freezing from upstairs saying he regrets he went there . It was freezing 🥶, the water to wash his hands the same and he was so cold after eating in the cold anyway . Zizzi, I've been eating in this place for years , never had such a bad experience, and on top of it when I was to pay the full amount obviously because it is my fault your system doesn't work is it? , they asking me to tip them. For what? What do you mean tip ? Said no obviously, the girl was in shock like she couldn't believe it. First of all why are you forcing this into people and secondly apart from the food, this place didn't make me feel good or warm or anything. Matter of fact as soon as I eaten we wanted to get out . I'm disappointed because I used to like the place. I won't be coming back.

Had a lovely pizza and lager. I messed up with the chilli oil, though, and paid the price later 🙃. Still, it's a nice place and good food.

We love coming here, the service is always lovely and kind, and the food is great! Would recommend for a cute little date night

A bit pricey for the meals available. It's not that special and not bad either.

Food was good but the service not 100% great, we got there round 10.15 pm and they where rushing us as they where closing at 11pm....couldn't really chill and enjoy

I am a coeliac, and when I walked in and said this to an employee he left me with a joke and no information. I was without help and in the dark when looking for food until a lovely woman came and helped but as an individual new to being coeliac I was quite anxious and it wasn't a good way to start my dining experience. After ordering food however my experience was amazing the food was very nice and was clearly labelled with not containing gluten. Furthermore, we asked for water 5 times and the employees were quite rude when we asked. In general, me and my party were pleased with our dining experience but we felt disrespected and made us think they had no care for us as customers. Our server ,who was a lovely woman, I have no complaints with she was amazing with explaining how gluten free food works and was a very good waiter to us. I would recommend Zizzis

Food was nice, but service was poor. Waiters looked disinterested and we felt like we weren’t cared for even though there was only 2 other tables in there at the time. They asked other tables how there food was but not us/ Whilst food came quickly, the service was lacking as they seemed moody, and then when we paying they insisted on giving a tip.

Alex was very helpful, she gave a great service, was efficient,polite and got us everything we asked for in a timely manner. Happy with our meal and would be happy to come again.

Comida servida rápidamente y buenas porciones. Muchas opciones para la familia. El servicio fue genial y la gestión fue bien educada. Manejaron muy bien una queja de mesa a nuestro lado. La mesa de al lado les había pedido que dejaran de abrir la puerta principal porque hacía frío. (Algo que no podían hacer ya que la gente tenía que entrar y salir) el gerente masculino trató bien su queja así que me llenó de confianza que si tenía algún problema se manejarían bien. ¡El pudín de chocolate fundido es brillante! La única caída es la falta de ciertos ingredientes temprano en una tarde de sábado. No hay helado de café o salsa de chocolate disponible. Mi hija estaba muy decepcionada.

Vinimos por el menú establecido y tuvimos un tiempo encantador. Reservado en línea y la mesa estaba lista, fue recibido y sentado al instante. Alex era nuestro servidor y eran geniales, super atentos y nos dieron todo lo necesario, y nos hizo saber lo que no estaba disponible. La comida era sabrosa, buenas porciones y buena relación calidad-precio. Fuimos a la hora de comer un domingo y aunque estaba ocupado, no esperábamos siglos para comer, ni nos apresurábamos a salir. ¡Volveremos!

Every time we visit the mainland we visit a Zizzi, the food is always outstanding. Darcey was our server and she was an absolute pleasure.

We’d like to say a massive WELL DONE to Lucia. I asked her if everything was ok as there seemed to be such a weird vibe with the staff. She was so professional informing me that there’s expected high volume party arriving later and the management were very stressed. She didn’t let this affect her customers and ensured we were well looked after. It was quite clear the manager was being rude to his staff, which is never acceptable. Well done Lucia, your infectious smile and laughter made us enjoy our HUGE meal even more.without Lucia this would’ve been a very different review to what I was writing initially.

Very good Italian food at okay prices. Friendly service and a good location. Nov 2024: had a great meal with wife and kids last Saturday. I had the ‘pig’ rustica pizza and it was lovely. Our waitress was Lucia and was very helpful and not too intrusive.. 👏 👏

The food and service are both stunning! My friend and I were there to celebrate my birthday. From order taking till dessert are so satisfying and our server keep wearing a smile being friendly and helpful. We ordered the king prawn spiedini as starter, sticky pizza and a truffle pasta. All meet expectations. Last but not least my tiramisu came with a birthday song and candle :)

We dined at the Zizzi restaurant in Reading Oracle for the first time and will absolutely go again, we had a fantastic meal and the service was excellent. In particular our server Shaquille was brilliant; he was incredibly polite, very friendly and extremely attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our drink order to be taken, or our meal order and when our meal arrived we thought it must be for someone else as it arrived so quickly!! Both main meal and dessert were prepared perfectly and very reasonably priced. We are very much looking forward to going again.

Good however prone weird cheese on the corner of pizza

We booked a table well in advance, but got placed in the corner by the bifold doors which had freezing air rushing in through gaps in the door. We had to keep our coats on, and the cutlery was too cold to pick up. On reflection we should have just left, but we needed food quickly so didn't have a choice. The staff were somewhere between indifferent and rude - I guess they are as pissed off about the conditions and their inability to do anything about it as we were. The food was fine, but, like us, went cold quickly.

Nuestro grupo de 4 tenía una reserva para una cena rápida antes de ir a ver un espectáculo. Estábamos sentados en la esquina al final de las escaleras. Había una corriente de aire notable entrando por las puertas plegables y hacía mucho frío. Había un calentador en la pared que no estaba encendido, más tarde descubrimos que el calentador había estado roto durante dos años, pero todavía no se ha arreglado. Los servidores, posiblemente incluyendo el gerente, estaban muy ocupados y no tomaron en cuenta nuestras preocupaciones de que estábamos fríos e incómodos. 2 de nosotros nos pusimos las chaquetas. El servicio estaba un poco por debajo de la media, creo que el equipo estaba demasiado delgado. Mientras esperábamos que nos dieran la orden, pensé en irme. Ojalá me hubiera ido. La comida llegó en un tiempo razonable y fue como se esperaba - por desgracia fue imposible disfrutar de la comida porque teníamos mucho frío. Cuando recogimos nuestros cubiertos, todos notamos lo fríos que estaban. Saldar la cuenta fue algo doloroso. Zizzi no tiene una aplicación, pero en su lugar te hace iniciar sesión en una página web para tus detalles de lealtad y recompensa. Luego escanea un código QR para abrir otra pestaña con los detalles de la tabla. No había forma obvia de conectar las dos pestañas y aplicar los detalles de fidelidad y el descuento a su factura. La aplicación de otra cadena de pizzas hace esto súper fácil. Después de tener una experiencia tibia previa en este restaurante definitivamente no volveré y tendré que pensarlo dos veces antes de comer en otro restaurante Zizzi, a pesar de que la pizza en sí es mejor que la media. La dirección necesita retirar las mesas de abajo de las escaleras cuando hace frío afuera o arreglar el calentador que aparentemente ha estado roto durante 2 años.

Great visit, we don't usually go out often but Zizzi is our place to go. We were served by Emily who went above and beyond during our visit.Very knowledgeable young and hard working girl. Amazing restaurant, you can never go wrong with a good old Italian meal. I went for the classic spaghetti, which was delicious. While I do wish there were more vegetarian options, I really appreciated that they had some on the menu, as many restaurants near London tend to overlook this. Had an amazing waiter, called Alex, they were extremely nice- attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. If you’re craving authentic Italian food with great service, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Waitress at the Oracle Zizzi was lovely (Lucia), she was great when we had a late arrival to our table and served them straight away, even though restaurant was busy. I had the mushroom risotto which although very tasty was a bit smaller than expected.
