Zing Indo & Grill in Wellingborough

I came here with friends to have a lovely meal to celebrate something special. I've got a coriander allergy and I couldn't stress enough that I couldn't have fresh coriander sprinkled over my food. When I got my starter it was full of coriander. I promptly sent this back. When the waitress brought my food back to me it had been picked off and not re-cooked. I carried on to look at my food and there was hairs all over the food. The waitress turned around and said 'what do you want me to do about it?' I wasn't best pleased. I didn't pay for my meal as I complained to the manager and he gave me my whole order for free, of course I didn't eat barely any of my main because I was too busy looking for coriander and hairs in my meal. Never will return. Poor service, shoddy food.

Had a table for two early last night (6.30pm on Valentines Day 2019) and the overall experience was excellent! Complimentary drink on arrival, delicious food served piping hot and quickly, and all of the wait staff were very extremely polite, helpful, and friendly. Great choice of subtle background music, and the water features are a great addition to the whole ambience. Would definitely recommend!

Order came promptly, completely wrogn though. Patia hotter that Phal and Jalfrezi was tikka masala. Worse food i have ever eaten. AVOID

The last time we were here was when it was Voujon, but we weren’t disappointed. The staff were attentive and the food delicious, sadly we were the only diners meaning it lacked atmosphere which was a shame. Worth a try.

Visited here numerous times and each time is as good as the last! The food is superb. And Wednesday/Sunday banquet deal is unbelievable value for money. Starter of chicken chat puree was gorgeous and a big portion. I recommend the main of chicken chilli masalla it is sublime. Give this one a try!

I can see from other people’s reviews that they have had good meals here but I have to say that surprises me. I went with a group and I don’t think any of us would go back. The service was abrupt, gradually becoming a Fawlty Towers level of hilariously bad, with dishes slammed down, spoons stabbed through them, and just generally awkward giggle-inducing. My food wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great, and it wasn’t as described on the menu. Other people in the group left most of theirs. I just had the general feeling they weren’t ready (despite it being a booking) and they didn’t want to be there.

Went with the other half for a curry here this evening and it was outstanding everything was fresh hot and tasty! Everything was seasoned perfectly. We had the mixed grill platter and it was 10/10 all the meat was tender and well cooked and there was loads of it ! We also had onion bajhi,somosas, sag aloo, and a lamb curry that was similar to a korma but much better! The staff was very helpful and let me charge my phone whilst we ate. Couldn’t find a fault the place was spotless also and it came to £44 with drinks! 10/10! Amazing value and quality

Just wow zing is gone to the next level of food and spice! Really wonderful service from the team at zing and also Mr Ali is a wonderful chef who has made me so so many dishes to try. I would definitely recommend his own recipe if the hot pot.

Second time here and just as good as the first. Banquet deal on Wednesdays and Sundays at 10.95 is great value too. We have also had numerous takeaways which are always gorgeous.Particularly enjoyed the chicken jalfrezi, loads of chicken, and great flavours.The guys here can't do enough for you! Certainly one of the best in Wellingborough

Went to the Zing Indo Grill for a family meal as it had been recommended to me. On arriving I ordered some drinks, unfortunately there was no ice for my drink which meant I had to wait for some to be fetched. The rest of my party arrived and we were seated at a table. The server at the table proved to be annoying, due to constantly hovering at the table, consistently asking if we had finished when clearly we had not. The first set of dinner plates that were brought to the table were dirty and were subsequently returned. Another server leant across me whilst I was eating to collect a side plate. Although the restaurant was empty apart from a party on another table, it was considered that they wanted us to leave in order to get the table ready for other eaters.

Had a meal there Friday night was recommended by a friend, the service was first class really friendly and helpful. The food was excellent quality with a wide choice on the menu. Really good food will be going back again as a couple and will also take the children.

This used to be my favourite restaurant when it was called ‘Voujoun’.

Lovely night here tonight with my group of olde people. Staff were really accommodating and friendly, particularly our waiter Shahed. Really recommend this place for good food and atmosphere.

I went in at the end of October for a quick meal before a football match. I was there at 6.45 to be in & out in an hour. Advert says Main, Starter, Rice & Naan for £10.99 inside it says Main, Starter, Side & Rice or Naan - I was told it was Main, Starter and Rice or Naan. I wanted Rice & Naan so had to pay extra (hot dish!)
