Ordered here for a family we really enjoyed it all of the curries wer piping hot full of flavours would highly recommend

Food was nice enough but not what I ordered. Got Madras instead of Rogan Josh and something I couldn’t read instead of Balti. Just moved to the town and first takeaway I’ve ordered. Not good

The food was great quality as always and good portion size. Delivered speedily and arrived hot. Thank you 😁 The £2.50 delivery charge and £1.50 service charge does make it an expensive takeaway (not sure what the service charge is for?).

Dhansak was so hot no one in the house could eat it wouldn’t suggest considering this is meant to be a mild/medium dish, Bhuna was mediocre. Won’t be returning

We waited 2 and a half hours from the time of order! When the food got here it was mildly warm to say the least, portions from other similar cuisines usually come with tupperware full to the brim, these portions were half full in the container. Disappointed is an understatement. Won’t be using again.

Unfortunately the food came cold and watery. And that was my favourite at one point.

Food arrived 1 hour late, turned up cold and the quantity of one of the dishes was very poor for the price.

Found a piece of shell (not sure what it is) in my food (tarka Dall) and the takeaway manager completely denied it saying as I reported it 24 hours later he can’t be responsible for it. He started insinuating that I was some how lying about it.

Biryani was fresh ingredients and tasted lovely and fragrant. Next time I will ask for extra spice in the vegetable curry side as I like spicier

Great food, I always use Funky Spice as the food is great quality and the guys are always friendly and helpful. I am gluten free and always have lots of choice. If I am unsure then I ring them and the restaurant tell me what I can and not have. Thank you Funky Spice

Ordered a takeaway from this place for the family. Chicken biryani was one of the best I’ve had. I had a beef Jalfrezi with a pilau rice. It was the best curry I ever had. They also do burgers and Doner kebab. The Doner kebab is not like your usual but done to taste really good. The delivery time was within 30 minutes. Overall this place had great customer service and deliver when they say. Exceptional place would recommend to anyone.

Never normally have a problem but both meals were near on cold, wanted to ring up but we was too busy.

We have ordered from Funky Spice multiple times and so far, they have always been a minimum of 20 minutes late. Certain items which have been on the menu for months never seem to be available. After being an hour late to deliver our last order, I rang them up to see what was happening and got told that sometimes pre-ordering for a certain time means they'll forget the order and delay it (despite this always happening with ASAP orders too). I didn't even get the chance to say anything before the person on the other line just said "okay, bye bye" and hung up on me.

Fast, polite, safe delivery. Flavours excellent but purleeeeeze, use lamb and make sure it is tender. Think I may have dislocated my jaw more than once chewing on impossible beef. Also, a couple of free poppadoms, chutney and some salad with the meagre tikla starters wouldn't break the bank. Especially as the meal wasn't cheap !

I ordered pilau rice with my meal but when it arrived it was thick clogged together and definitely not edible, I rang to confirm this to then be told it was pilau rice (it was not) but i may not be satisfied due to the fact it came from the bottom of the pan!! I asked for them to collect the meal and refund my money but he was practically arguing with me in the phone!! They was not having any of it. To top it off my order came to £10.50 to which it shows on my receipt yet I was charged £13.75!! Poor service and definitely will not be ordering from them again. Clearly this company do not give a damn about there customers let alone regular customers!! Never again.

Absolutely horrendous service. Have ordered twice recently and both times food has been late. This time However we called Funky Spice when the food was 20 minutes late and told it would arrive whilst we spoke. We waited another 20 minutes then rang again. To be told I would not understand the system and I should not order from them again. I was spoken over when simply trying to ascertain if our food was even coming. I was told they didn't have to be open and the call handler then hung up on me. I was shocked and appalled as I had not been rude and was simply trying to find out where my food was. Imagine if I was someone who had just returned from a shift at the hospital or just lost someone! This service was horrific and as someone who regularly went to their restaurant and has made use of their take away service as well I will never use them again and will ensure all friends and family know not to either!

HORRENDOUS. Food delivered very late and was cold, extremely greasy, and of very poor quality. Without doubt the worst Indian in Wellingborough. Sorry guys but it really was bad.

But given these unprecedented times their standard was exemplary, against a backdrop of no doubt supply / logistical / resourcing headaches. We’ll be ordering again for sure. Outstanding

Fantastic food. Was absolutely delicious. The Garlic and cheese naan was 🤤🤤🤤 and the curries were lovely. Pakoras were good and my boyfriend said that his food was really good too. Will definitely order again soon.

First time using just eat and funky spice - really good selection of dishes, easy to order and food arrived on time. Our delivery man was polite and left our order on the doorstep. Meal was lovely, the only downside was that we had to reheat it as it wasn’t hot enough to eat - would order again

Best Indian hands down, burger was pretty decentbut who goes to an Indian for a burger, Bhaji were crisps and squidgy at the same time, chicken pakoras... AMAZING! Korma was really nice and the mint sauce, be it luminescent green was absolutely fantastic ... I wish I could eat it everyday! You’ve won a new loyal customer

I found the meat very fatty and didnt enjoy the meal

I called the restaurant 10 minutes after the given delivery time and I was assured my food was ready and that it would be with me in 15 minutes maximum. I then called half an hour after that to say that I still hadn't recieved my food and that it was in fact 40 minutes late. The person on the phone said he was leaving now so it would be with me soon. He arrived 10 minutes later saying thank you for being understanding to which I said that I did understand but being 50 minutes late was a bit ridiculous at which point he said some people are being understanding, some aren't and some people are grateful. I think it's horrible that I'd be accused of being ungrateful for being unhappy about a lengthy delay as well as being lied to about the additional wait time I should expect.

Food wasn’t as piping hot as I would have liked but other than that everything was spot on!

Poor quality, cold and lacked flavour

Have ordered many times but very unhappy tonight, portion smaller, 4 bits of chicken in one curry with no mushrooms at all (mushroom curry!) very dry as no sauce, prawn korma extremely watery, both nann breads rock hard, rand restaurant, not that interested apart from to say manager will ring you, 3 hrs later no call, no refund, no new meal

Excellent food as always. Delivery driver went out of his way to get me smooth orange juice from the shop as I didn’t like the one the restaurant had. Awesome! :)

1.late 2.extremely watery both dishes tikka and butter chicken 3.small portions for the price (2 samosas?) 4. Not enough meat to sauce ratio in main dishes 5.a wooden looking addition to my potato starter 6. It arrived cold as well

Literally the best Indian in Wellingborough ( no exaggeration) the food is SOOO lovely and I always say it but I wouldn’t order from anywhere else .....and was given a few freebies today which was lovely(thankyou) ! But again lovely delicious food :) oh and the staff are so lovely and polite !!

Ordered a few starters along with mains, seekh kebab was very unseasoned and tasted funny. Onion bhajee was burnt to crisp and lamb tikka was tough and smelt a bit off. The mains was chicken biryani and all you could taste if raw spices like a powdery texture with crunchy onions like wtf? Rushed much??.. the curry’s was swimming in oil like an artery clogger! Never will I order from there again and I think health inspector needs to make a visit.

Food is always nice however when it arrived it was just about warm it hasn’t put me off ordering as this was the first time that’s happened and hopefully the last !

Ordered at 6.40, just eat made 7.40, restaurant adjusted to 8.15. Delivered at 8.45. Good food but madras oily! Will try again but order at lunch 😁.
