I tried fish pollichathu ( steamed in banana leaf ) + Malabar porotta & Indian traditional tea. Tea & porotta was good. But fish was low cost basa fillet . You normally expect fresh proper fix. So just average rating for this place.

Prices are good and portions are pretty good too. Pleased to see a nice Indian restaurant in Wellingborough that serves South Indian food.

Sadhya offers a vibrant journey through the diverse flavours of South Indian cuisine. It is a good choice for those seeking an Indian dining experience. The interior is cosy and well lit with LED lights bringing an ambient atmosphere. It is normally uncrowded on the normal day. The masala dosa boasts a huge dosa with 4 chutney and sambar sides. The strong burst of spice is evident in the pepper chicken (watch out! x) As a South Indian family who loves biryani, we had to get the Malabar chicken dum biryani, prawn biryani and some egg fried rice too. Prepare to indulge in a true taste of India that will leave your taste buds delighted!

Fantastic South Indian food. Really crispy dosas and medhu vada with tasty sambhar. A wide selection of vegetarian dishes. Service was friendly and quick. I'll definitely be back.

therre was no mild vegetBle curry to go with the dish. In every other Indian outlet there is I t was cooked well and not toi salty, but dry. There was no curry to dip my naan bread in. Disappounting considering what it cost to order.

Perfect food. We had, Malabar Chicken Biriani, Masala Disa, butter Nan, chicken pepper fry, and Malabar Prawn Masala. 2 of us here and both of us loved the food. In fact, it's the best Indian food I've ever tasted. They need a bigger posher restaurant with tablecloths.

Wonderful flavours, not your usual Indian so no table cloths etc, but what it lacks in decor it absolutely makes up for in food. Biryani delicious... Chicken in pepper gravy wow... Marsala dosa so tasty, lovely samba and the paneer starter, yummy, so all in all I'm coming back very soon thank you.

Another superb meal at the Sadhya. My wife and I had been to The Sadhya a couple of times over the last few months and we were so impressed that we took our daughter, son-in-law and their two children recently. They all enjoyed their meals immensely and our daughter and her husband especially enjoyed the Dosa and Lamb curries. The children also enjoyed the Butter Chicken curry. The service was excellent being prompt, cheerful and very helpful. We will certainly go back to the Sadhya in the near future. The restaurant does not have a liquor licence and you are welcome to bring your own and there is no corkage charge.

My coach, Ankush Jain, took a group of us for lunch. I’ve been to Indian restaurants before and have always enjoyed the beautiful combination of flavor and spice. Here, when our meal arrived, Ankush took a couple of minutes to walk us through the high quality of everything we were about to experience on our plate. He shared that the food was the highest of quality, and that even his mother gave it her approval. His powerful description set us up to have one of the very best South Indian meals I’ve experienced. With a clean plate minutes later, it’s safe to say that he was right. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was cozy. Looking forward to returning on my next visit from America to Wellingboro.

We came here for lunch and the food was absolutely amazing. It is clear that the owner/chef cares about his food and puts his heart into the preparation. Great South Indian restaurant in uk. I really loved the chicken biryani and Malabar chicken curry.

We pre-booked, as on this occasion a large group of eleven. (The seating capacity is usually max 20 or so persons so do consider booking to not be disappointed if a large group.) Our table was ready whilst other diners also enjoying Sunday lunch. Our server was attentive and yet not rushing us nor intrusive. The table soon filled with fresh crunchy papads and chutneys alongside mango lassi, fresh lemon sodas, and cans of fizzy drinks. While the kitchen got underway preparing a feast. Our table enjoyed numerous items from the menu and all arrived plentiful, fresh and piping hot. ( fish curry, chana masala, masala dosa, paneer Dosa. nans, rice, fried rice and more) Followed by ice cream choices for the children who still had room for dessert! A jovial, relaxed vibe with some nice conversations with other diners and the owner and staff. The seating area is adequate and kept clean and tidy. The small bar serves only non-alcoholic beverages. ( we have seen others take beer and wine with them if that’s what you like you can do so we understand by arrangement for personal consumption) Take aways are possible with home delivery through food delivery apps. Mid-week special lunch box take away options are served in a plentiful portion for a good fair price. *Several of us in the group have lived for substantial periods in India and miss good authentic tasty fresh Indian food. So finding Sadhya is a joy. We’ve now been numerous times and it’s lovely to introduce others to the delicious pleasures of South Indian cuisines. We’ll be back again soon. *The server was also willing and helpful in splitting our billing as requested by the three families in our larger grouping.

I really enjoyed my evening out at Sadhya the food is delicious. It’s fresh and packed full of mouthwatering flavours. We went for the vegetarian option. The staff are great too. I will definitely be going back when I’m in Wellingborough. If l lived closer I know this would be one of my regular spots to eat out.

I was recommended this lovely little place for their specialty South Indian food, and it didn't disappoint! Authentic Keralan food, cooked and served in traditional ways. I spent many years in South India and was wisked back there with every mouthful. This modest little place is the real thing. Definitely worth a visit.

I visited in January 2024 with 8 colleagues at the end of a training course. I had only eaten here once before which was a while ago. This was a whole different experience. Everything was incredible and we all felt the same. I especially can recommend the banana starter. Just wow. I’ve never eaten this in any South Indian restaurant before. The Parattha bread was also the flakiest I’ve ever tasted. Nothing was bad. One of my colleagues said she would come back to Wellingborough just to eat here.

We have been eating here regularly for 3 years and have always been impressed by the very high quality of the food. Very authentic South Indian cuisine at its finest.

Very bad experience , insanely over priced even for cheap small products,i never recommend to my loved ones.

Great food as ever! One minor issue - the matter paneer is missing from the just eat menu and it is one of our favourite dishes from Sadhya.

The smell is amazing as you walk past this storefront, inside there are 3 or 4 groups of larger tables space for take away collections. Staff were friendly and aware of food content / allergens. The dosa? With a lental dip was amazing, as well as being gluten free. Enjoyed the meal, but the starter (dosa) was special.

Definitely not order again. The sauces were curdled, did not touch them as they looked like they had been sat somewhere for along time. The Dosa was mostly bread, the chicken rice had no flavour at all.. extremely unhappy with my order. Sorry.,

We were about to go to Leicester as we wanted Dosas. However since we were passing through Wellingborough, we decided to try this place. Oh my goodness. It was the best decision we have ever made. Although the restaurant is small, the staff, the food, the service and everything about this place was excellent. The best food I have ever tasted.

We went on a quiet night so not very many people at the restaurant, although it is a very small restaurant so you can tell they put a lot of effort and time into the food they make! The horrible experience ever, to oily. I got food poison after eating from here, there was hair in my chicken curry when I called to inform they didn't care about it, I will never visit this place ever again.

So glad we found a south indian restaurant. Loved the food here. we had chilli paneer, plain dosa, malabar egg curry, lemon rice, nan bread, soft drinks. Food had a lovely flaour to it and will be coming again and again. Have already brought in various family members to try the food. Next time we will try the lunch time speacials.
