I’ve enjoyed meals in the restaurant previously but was very disappointed with this meal. The chips were inedible as they were so greasy and the popadoms couldn’t be eaten either as they were stale…you could literally bend them in half without snapping 🤦‍♀️ the korma didn’t really taste of anything but my partner did enjoy the tikka masala and naan bread.

nornally love the food from this place but last night's wasnt good. onion bahjis were cold in the middles and undercooked. 4 pieces of chicken in both mains and the rice portion only filled half the tray it was delivered in. not the best.

The food was warm not hot, the bag was full of yellow grease that had spilled on to the poppadoms making them soggy and on top of the Rogan Josh.

Excellent food, really flavourful

Picked up a curry after a few beers at the Ale Hub. It’s within walking distance of home so convenient Pleased to say my takeout was cooked quickly and I was delighted with the food. Often takeaways aren’t as good as eat in but this was pretty close Staff friendly too I’ll definitely be popping in again and would recommend

Excellent gem of an Indian restaurant we found on a recent trip to watch the Moto GP at Silverstone. The location in Wellingborough was lovely, plenty of parking nearby. Staff were very attentive from the moment we arrived until we left. The choice of food and drink was excellent and prices very, very reasonable. We are Northerners and expected Southern prices 😉 but all was priced ideally. Food was hot and fresh All in all, excellent location, staff and food, probably the best Indian meal I have ever had and will definitely return when back in the area. 5star.

We were so pleased to hear le spice had reopened, it has always been our favourite Indian locally. Their onion bajis are amazing, massive and incredibly tasty. My daughter and I also love their butter chicken and my husband tried their tikka masala Sagwala. All were super fresh and tased delicious. We preordered through their website and had it delivered and the driver was 5 mins early and very polite. Well done to all at Le spice and once again we are so pleased that you have come back

I've came here about three times now and every time everything about me spice merchant is perfect. Me and my family are going to miss this place so much and can't wait for when it will hopefully reopens.

Delivery driver, delivered with a smile and a thank you! I use to go Ali's for a long time but switched to Le Spice Merchant over 6 months ago and I am yet to have a bad meal! Food used to be delicious at LeSpice, but over the period there is a drastic change in their food taste. I have ordered Chicken Naga Biryani today, it doesn’t have salt or any spice. Tasted really bland.

Worst Reception.... Ordered food on Uber Eats. Restaurant accepted the order and let me wait for 45 mins and tracking said order is being delivered by Restaurant driver and can expect food anytime soon. Called the restaurant after an hour and they said they cant deliver as my location was far. Why did they even accept the order in the first place? They made me wait for more than an hour and then cancelled my order. The person who answered the call was really rude too.

First time customer. Food was hot and very tasty. Portions were a good size

It arrived late not a problem this is understandable at times,the chips looked like they had been cooked by candle light they was rock hard and not cooked considering they cost £4.50 for a tiny portion of French fries,the onion baji was soggy,I had the chicken tikka masala my plate was just swimming in water from I presume the chicken the chicken was like gandhi flip flop,Its the worst indian meal I've ever had,never again!!so disappointed

Food arrived Cold. Food wasn't very tasty. We spent over £65 and this is the first restaurant where we didn't get complementary poppadoms. Part 2 : I had a reply from them and they said I haven't solved anything by writing a review. Hopefully I have as other customers can make up their minds whether to order or not after reading the reviews as that's the whole point of writing one 👍

Unfortunately our meal wasn’t very tasty this evening, we usually receive a fantastic meal but this evening it was unsatisfactory.

We visited on a Tuesday night. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. Very much looking forward uo our next meal there.

Really great meal. Food was delivered pipping hot, while also the potion sizes were great! The meat was moist and not dry. The rice was well cooked er and seasoned. Really impressed with this first order and will 100% order again.

We love Le Spice Merchant! Had a fantastic takeaway last night for my husband's birthday, and twice recently we've had a meal delivered for a gathering of 10 friends. The food's always lovely, whether you eat in the restaurant or at home.

Popped in for a takeaway- King Prawn Biriani which came with a vegetable curry. It was appropriately packed and still hot after a short drive home. Delicious food, I really enjoyed it. I was served by Max, a very sociable person who kindly added complementary poppadoms and a dip to the order. I would definitely recommend Le Spice for a tasty, good quality takeaway meal.

6 of us dropped in for dinner last night, staff made us welcome and looked after us well. Food was very tasty and not too hot for those in the group that did not like food that is too spicy. Will definitely visit again, thank you for a pleasant evening.

It's always awkward going out to eat alone, but this evening, I just wanted to go out and enjoy a nice indian. Le Spice Merchant is a 5 min walk from home, so I decided this was going to be my venue of choice. I booked a table using their web page, very simple, arrived, and was seated with the whole restaurant to choose from. Drink and poppadoms swiftly ordered and delivered and then left to peruse the menu. Choices decided I put the menu to one side and was soon asked if I was ready to order, thought I would try something different and opted for a prawn dish with a tomato and coconut sauce, it was heaven! Whilst I was eating one of the guys there popped over and engaged in conversation, hesitant in case I wanted to be left alone, but happy to chat once he know I was happy too. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, superb food, wonderful attentive, and quick service. It's definitely a spot where I could be comfortable bringing friends or eating alone again in the future.

Late delivery meant curry was greasy. No little salad bag. Very disappointed. Naan bread amazing though.

I've used this restaurant many times over the years and been happy but this was the worst meal I've ever had! Over an hour late, cold, tasteless & half the items missing from my order, really poor, not sure I'll be returning.

The food arrived warm and not hot, I have seen other reviews get lash back from the restaurant for saying the same but if you are unable to deliver hot food due to distance either reduce your service area or invest in in-car food warmers to keep the food hot. The taste was good but having to heat food in a microwave defeats the idea of ordering food in. Could do the same with a meal deal and save cost. Hopefully this restaurant will keep the same quality of flavour but improve the temperature for deliver

Tasteless, luke warm, chips were under cooked and soggy. Gave it an extra star cos it might have tasted better if I could be bothered to heat it up.

We dont have a takeaway very often so they are a cherished treat. We live the other side of wellingborough, but liked the consistency of the reviews so what the heck... if the food goes cold we have a microwave or a frying pan. Ordered a collection Saturday night. 2 curries 2 rice 2 nan onion bhajees..10% off collection 👍good start. Got a text saying food will be ready 17:57. Staff friendly. Loved the look of the place. Will defo go for a sit in. Easy to find too. Food literally ready whem stated. Got home (12 minute drive) food hot enough for me bit Wifey microwaved hers. Vindaloo spot on. Keema nans packed with mince. Keema rice amazing. My fussy wife mentioned her tikka massala was very red but all said she absolutely loved it. We cannot comment on onion bhajees because our curry, rice and nan were so big we couldnt finish them. No room for bhajees. Although I did eat the complimentary popadoms and dips in the morning. The chilli dip they give you is a first for me and I used my finger to scrape the last bit out. Exceptional value for money, excellent quality and looking forward to our next meal at our new favourite restaurant

I appreciate chips aren’t the takeaway’s specialty but as a side order they were absolutely shocking - at £3.95, two hands-full of french fries that were barely cooked and close to cold was totally unacceptable - very poor value for money.

Great food in a lovely area I live very near this restaurant and have ordered takeaway many times which is always good. Today I ordered a takeaway for the first time and it was equally excellent. As a vegetarian I am grateful for the lovely vegan options and loads of veggie choices and I always think Indian cuisine does veggie food better than anywhere in the world! Food was fresh and beautiful and service was exceptional, professional,quick and friendly. My friend also thought the food was amazing. Highly recommended you definitely wont be disappointed they are a nutt free restaurant which is a bonus and they cook it how you want them to!

Had a notification at 6pm saying the driver was on way. Driver then went to the wrong address and called 30 minutes later. By the time it got here our food was stone cold and had been slopped around in the carrier bag and had leaked everywhere. So much so that most of the sauces had gone. Poppadoms were soft/stale and not enjoyable. Really, really disappointed as we'd heard good things about the place but feel like I've wasted my money.
