The food arrived just under 2hrs after ordering and an hour after the delivery time. I contacted the restaurant twice and finally had an update. The food was cold and quality wise it was not worth the money spent. Overpriced food and terrible delivery service.

Le Spice Merchant is one of the best Indian restaurants I have had the pleasure to visit, the welcome was so genuine and friendly, the restaurant has a fabulous laidback atmosphere and the food !! the food was amazing, seasoned to perfection, presented beautifully and the portions were spot on, I was comfortably pogged (full) when I had finished, I can recommend topping off your eating experience with the "coconut ice cream" it's amazing. Thank you for a fabulous Valentine's evening, as Arnie say's "I'll be back"

delivery schedule had to be shifted but only by 20 minutes and we were kept updated. delivery driver was great, very friendly, and the food was soooo good!

perfect chicken tikka Jalfrezi just how I like lots of chicken and nice and spicy . Special mention for the delivery guy , Simon I think , always so helpful quick and polite .if you haven't tried le spice yet you must .

Food brilliant was a bit late but the communication between the restaurant and myself was brilliant they phoned me and explained that they was really busy and short of drivers I would definitely recommend these we always have excellent food from there even though we live in irchester it’s worth the wait

Highly recommended. Had my Birthday party there (17 people) on Saturday evening. Wonderful food, hot and all served at the same time. Staff very attentive, nothing to much trouble. A real gem so close to home. Will definitely be going again.

Very overpriced and expensive, we nearly got ripped off, (by over £75 no less) before we questioned the bill. Really disappointing and frustrating. Over £50 each for poppadoms and a main course each, which is London prices. Update based on their feedback. As we had a larger party and booked in advance we had to pay a £5 deposit for each guest. This was then not taken off the bill. We were then charged for a meal we didn't order and 2 pints we never had. As it was a family get together we just pointed these out and asked for a new bill, which we received immediately. If you thought your calculations were correct why would you immediately change it back. The family were frustrated with your establishment and being ripped off.

I usually love our food & always rate it highly. Sadly tonight I had to chase for updates where our food was with delivery time changing twice. When the delivery drive eventually arrived no apology & when asked if we'd been forgotten we were told no delivery drivers tonight. Food was cold which is never usually an issue & respectfully if no drivers available then it would of been good to of received a call. Hope next time it's back to the usual 5 star service we know & love.

Food took nearly 2 hours to arrive during a not very busy period. Staff were extremely rude when I called to check on the eta. Food was cold upon arrival, whatever you do, AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

I’ve order twice from here and they haven’t disappointed us. The food is delicious and I would recommend the tikka chicken madras.

Delivery was 1 hour and 40 mins after order was placed. Really not impressed. Called the restaurant and no apology was given - blamed the driver. The driver said it was the restaurant’s fault.

The BEST curry house in Wellingborough by far. The guys are lovely and very professional. They will even help you decide what to eat from their gorgeous menu if you are unsure what to choose. We ate in after several takeaways and it was so much fresher and NO washing up. Nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend. Doesn't break the bank for a meal for two on a Friday night.

We have been here a number of times and cannot fault the service or the food. The food is fantastic and staff are really friendly. Very attentive and always remember our daughter’s extra cucumber. 👍

It's not a indian food... I could have given negative reviews if allowed. The curry's are sweet as donuts ... paid £40 just to get sugar and food colours...negative -5

We have ordered takeaway and waited nearly 1,5h for the delivery. My partner called them to check how long and they were saying 3 or 5 mins every time and still not delivering. Then he spoke with the manager who promised a full refund apart from the alcohol and never received. Total joke! In responses to the merchants comments The delivery was 1hr and 20mins late and it wasn’t a Saturday it was a Wednesday. Your business offered a refund on the 30th and still to this date we have been given the run around. We have called numerous times with the same excuse ‘the manager is not in’ We have also contacted Just eat and NO REFUND has been processed. The owner claims he has don’t it over the phone when we asked for proof so we could approach JustEat. But he refused. Unfortunately our experience was aimed up by the owner call us on a private number and giving us the customer verbal abuse and swearing which we recorded on our phone. We have been chasing this since the 30th of September - Just eats terms and conditions state a refund is processed and paid within 4-7 days. We are now on day 15 we will probably never we the refund… but that’s how this business likes to operate. We would have been happy with the restaurant offering a free meal or something similar but they offered a refund. Again they made no attempt to solve the issue. From ‘we will give you a refund to it’s not our issue contact just eat’ bravo!

Good quality and quantity of chicken. Madras sauce was nothing special and bland. Garlic bread was tasteless. Far too expensive on price for such mediocre food. I won't be returning. I was the first customer to come in at 5pm when you opened on 26th September.

rang restaurant for a request of some cheese on the cheese garlic naan bread. ask for the onion baji not to be over cooked and they may aswell of been charcoal. vegetable rice was not vegetable rice and was jnfact mushroom rice. I am allergic to mushrooms lucky caught in time. very disappointed as this restaurant is normally really good.

This was the first time that we had been to Le Spice Merchant. When we entered the Restaurant the first thing we noticed that it was nicely decorated with rich fabrics on the chairs and the tables were nicely laid out. We were impressed by the table linens, especially the very large cloth napkins. Initially the menu seems to be a traditional Bangladeshi restaurant type menu with standard Indian Restaurant dishes. However, as we read on we noticed that there were a number of other dishes which we had not heard off before and we decided to try those. For my starter I had a vegetarian pepper stuffed with spicy vegetables, which was very nice. It was not spicy hot, but the flavours were excellent. My wife had the Chicken Tandoori, which was tasty and as good as she had had elsewhere. For our mains I had a Lamb Naga Mirchi, which was quite hot and had a nice thick sauce and a flavour that I had not had before and was delicious. My Wife had a lamb Madhuri, which was a bit milder than mine, but was also delicious. We had an Aloo Sag Mushroom side dish, which also was very good. Many restaurants struggle to achieve a good vegetable side dish,this one was very good. My wife had coconut rice and I had a peshwari nan. The main dishes were quite generous and as they were so nice we ate them all. The presentation of the meals was exceptional. The plates were warmed, which makes a lot of difference to us and the crockery was stylish. The service was also very good being attentive, but not intrusive. I noted that they had Kingfisher Zero which was good as we were driving. The bill came to £61.00 which was very reasonable. All in all it was a very nice meal in a nice environment.

Awesome food and spectacular service. First time being here and would definitely come again. I had chicken jalfrezi which was flavoursome and the person I came with had the recommended fish curry. Everything was cooked beautifully, both the fish and chicken were tender. We will be back!

We came a long way for this Indian meal, all the way from France. It was a superb meal, the onion bhaji were the best I have ever tasted. The meal was totally delicious. Would highly recommended this restaurant and will certainly be back. Thank you for your hospitality.
