This is a wee gem of a place , great chilled vibe , smashing staff and food absolutely gorgeous . Highly recommended and most definitely will become a frequent visitor

Decent food, decent drinks, nice interior. I’ve been a couple of times and it’s been a solid experience. The food is nice and the cocktails are good. Sometimes you’ll need to flag someone down for service and some of the 2 person booths aren’t the comfiest but it’s a good option for a dinner. It’s nice and I will definitely come back but it doesn’t blow my mind.

I should say, I've been wanting to eat here for ages and was really looking forward to the meal. The service and the food was hugely disappointing. Booked a table and though we arrived on-time, it took half an hour before anyone came to take an order for food and drinks. We were on brink of leaving but couldnt think of anywhere else local that we wanted to eat. There had been a quick turnover on tables with a couple of tables leaving and showing up and there were only 3 members of staff on so decided to give it a chance. Ordered starters, charcuterie board and squid ink risotto. Despite the wait for service and food, the starters were really good and the bar had almost redeemed itself. After the starters were cleared it took 40 minutes for the mains to appear. In that time, no one came over to check on the table, offer more drinks or apologise for the wait. To be fair, the staff didn't check on any of the other diners or offer any further drinks, so the service was consistent for everyone. The reason for that though, was because the staff were interested in socialising with a couple of off-duty staff members at the bar. Staff either on phones or talking to couple. While waiting for food - there were 4 tables in for food at this point - none of the other tables got their meals together. One table of 3 had to wait about 10 minutes for their 3rd meal to be brought to the table. When the mains arrived, I'd ordered the duck special. The portion was tiny, the food was cold and no one came to check on the table. The description of the food was seared duck breast, which was tiny with sides including carrots (there were 2 tiny carrots on the plate) with charred pak choi (inner leaves and not much to plate). Meal was hugely disappointing though the description on the chalk board did not lie. The board over-sold the meal and portion. To be fair, they didn't check on any of the other tables either. When I complained at the end of the meal (took 10 minutes for plates to be cleared, yes at this point, I was timing the staff), I was told 'duck is an expensive dish' and 'that's how it's been served all day'. The waiter who cleared the table (and who had spent most of the previous 90 minutes talking at the bar and doing nothing) was argumentative and rude. He did offer free desserts. It's disrespectful to customers to give terrible service and disappointing food and think that they can resolve everything with a complimentary dessert! Was starving when I left the restaurant and had to get a bag of crisps at the Titwood across the road . Hugely disappointing. Spoke to a couple at Titwood Bar who said bar has gone downhill since Head Chef left 6 months ago. Maybe if we'd visited 7 months ago, we would have had a better meal. Massive let-down as I'd hoped for so much more.

Visited the Zinfandel for the first time and couldn’t be happier with the service and food that awaited us staff were brilliant and welcoming and the food was delicious highly recommend paying them a visit both myself and my wife enjoyed every minute and will be returning soon the young lady who attended to us helped to make it a very enjoyable experience

Cosy Croatian restaurant/bar located in the southside. Good selection of food and drinks on offer. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable it was pretty busy when we visited on a Saturday afternoon and there was a bit of a delay for the drinks and food but it’s a nice place with atmosphere so we didn’t really mind the wait. Chose a dish from the mains as couldn’t decide between the small plates which all sounded delicious. They also do good Cocktails too!

One of the most disgusting meals I’ve ever eaten. Genuine dog food. Watery, tasteless food along with a very weird look from the server when I wouldn’t eat the disgusting food! 4.6 stars average for this place is INSANE.

What an excellent restaurant and pub. Shared 5 of their small plates and everything tasted excellent from their risotto to fish to beef. Wonderful drinks selection with unusual wines to try. Staff are lovely. Good background music and a nice ambiance all round.

This is the second time we have been gifted a voucher for this place. Both times have been excellent. The food is really tasty, great service and friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed both visits and will be back again. Interior decor is comfortable and spotless.

My son and I went for food and drinks at Zinfandel as came highly recomended by my friends and we were not disapointed. The staff were really friendly and great atmosphere and buzz in the place. Started with nice pints of IPA , my son had a burher which looked awesome, but I had cevapi and itbwas delicious. It had a a great mix of british foods and croatian which i had never tried and i am glad i did as was excellent and something different. The desserts were lovely too really nive ice cream and the service was bang on. I rarely go to the same place a lot but i will definetly be going back with family and friends for food or drinks.

Had a cracking meal here with my daughter and her partner. As we were in a Croatian restaurant i had a Croatian meal with Croatian wine and both were excellent. The waitress was also very helpful and the service excellent given it was a busy restaurant. The only disappointment was they had 4 Croatian red wines on the menu but only one available as they are having supply issues getting more in. I hope they get this resolved soon.

Had late lunch with friends. Place was quiet but service was extremely slow. Not unfriendly, but definitely not friendly, either! There was a general air of disinterest. Food was OK, but no more than OK. Won't be rushing back.

We came to Zinfandel on a Friday night because it was dog friendly and local to us. The staff were really good with my Step dad who has a Gluten allergy and made him Gluten free garlic bread as a side. Me and my mum opted for some small plates that were all flavoursome and my partner and step dad both had steak. My partner said it was the best steak he has had recently and couldn't believe how good it was. Overall, the atmosphere was good, staff were friendly and attentive & the food was delicious too. We will deffo be coming back!

The food here is awful - however the bar is nice to sit in and the staff are accommodating! We ordered the chicken skewers and roasted cauliflower, it was tasteless and the chicken had a weird texture/smell.

We had a reservation but still got asked to move table twice. After 75 minutes they gave us our bill without us even asking for it and while we still had full drinks. Wont be going back.

I think the worst experience ive ever had in a restaurant in my life. We had an groupon voucher as a gift and went to restaurant thinking we could use it tonight. It turns out that fine print didn't allow, some of which the manager made up on the spot as I've now read it. Instead of politely telling us this the MANAGER came over and spoke AT us not with us, very aggressively, very rudely and made no attempt to ask if we still wanted to dine. He spoke to us in a manner I have never been spoken to at a restaurant. We left obviously. If this horrible man would have simply said sorry the voucher cant be used tonight would you like instead to dine from the whole menu then we absolutely would have, lost out on money from a couple who were very hungry and fancied a few cocktails. Would not recommend. We went elsewhere and had a meal without a voucher. My tip for this resteraunt would be don't run deals if you dont want people to use them. Absolutely shameful! EDITED to respond to the reply. No where on your T&Cs does it state 5 days notice to be given. As stated above we made an error with the small print. We sat down told the waiter we had the voucher and he said that is fine. 5 mins later the manager came over and as stated was rude and aggressive. Tried to embarrass us and at no point asked if we still wanted to dine. The person that called was my mother as she had purchased the deal and several of them as presents.The manager was also extremely rude to her. The attitude of the reply to this review speaks volumes on how we were treated at the resteraunt. I was in total shock and extremely upset that such a big gentleman would come over in such an aggressive, intimidating and arrogant way. We left immediately. Conduct yourself in a more professional mannner and maybe you wouldnt recieve reviews like this. Two sides to every story, the audacity. We were also extremely respectful and I cannot say the same for you. Disgusting and never experienced anything like it. I have never written a bad review in my life but I felt it very necessary in this case. Best of luck keeping a business alive with that attitude towards customers!

Absolutely one of the worst experience i have ever had, voucher for 2. Turned up manager was absolutely disgusting towards us told us our voucher wasnt valid and made us feel so unwelcome, have 2 vouchers for this establishment and will be refunding them asap and will highly recommend to friends and family never to attend.

A great community bar/restaurant in Strathbungo, south side of Glasgow. We tried the Croatian food and red wine with a good choice of beer. Service with Harry was great. It was our 1st and we will be going back.

Lovely friendly staff. However, the restaurant was FREEZING. Had to sit with coats, scarfs and gloves on and was still cold. Heating was on and staff eventually brought out an additional heater but too little too late. Food served on ice cold plates so food got very cold after a short time. All in all it spoiled what should have been a lovely evening.

Love the decor and lighting. The staff are friendly, the food was excellent. I had mixed seafood tempura (I would have liked more sauce and seasoning at the table - salt, pepper, vinegar ect). The chips were very good, they also had a creamcheese stuffed beef option and it was amazing. Small menu, but that's perfect, because what they offer is done so well. Clean and welcoming environment. Reasonably priced. Didn't use the bathrooms so I can't comment, but will update next time I'm there.

I was in Glasgow for 10 days and I visited a lot of restaurants and Zinfandel is definitely the best restaurant in the city! Every dish is perfect and the atmosphere is so special! I will definitely be back!! 🥰❤️

Our experience was pretty bad to say the least . We dined on the itison t-bone steak meal for two, this was definitely a meal for one ,when we arrived we were told that we should have gave them notice that we were having a steak , when the steak came out the fillet half of the steak was non existent so basically we shared what looked to be a 6 Oz sirloin and a skimpy little bowl of fries all in all the nice evening that we had planned and were looking forward to turned out to be disappointing .

Went here for second time with friends recently. Both times the food was excellent, the service great and the food fantastic. We will definitely go back there when in the area. I can certainly recommend this to anybody that wants to try authentic Croation food.

Excellent restaurant/bar with a friendly atmosphere. The good was delicious and the staff were really friendly and helpful, they even found us 2 different types of mobile chargers and allowed us to charge our phones at the table. The restaurant was only 25 minutes stroll away from Hampden and is ideal for.a pre-concert/match dinner. Would definitely visit again and would highly recommend.

Booked restaurant for meal before concert at Hampden which is only a 20-25 minute stroll away. The atmosphere was lovely, very welcoming and the food and G&Ts were excellent. Our server was extremely helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even got us 2 different types of phone chargers and allowed us to charge our mobiles. Highly recommend this place 😊

Zinfandel is a bar cum restaurant witha strong Croatian emphasis. There are lots of interesting Croatian wines and some specialised dishes. We'll cooked snd interesting. Will come again. Friendly and helpful staff.

First time at Zinfandel Gastro Bar today for Mother’s Day. Food was beautiful and well presented, had some cocktails and they were fabulous too. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and created a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely return very soon.
