Fantastic food and service. Tom looked after me, he’s always super friendly and helpful. My go to place when I’m here working in mid week. 10 out of 10 from me .

Lovely relaxed cafe, good food and pleasant but hardworking staff. No dogs allowed here which is great for severe allergy sufferers like myself.

We enjoyed a delicious meal here and would definitely recommend . Fantastic customer service from start to finish . Cater well for Gluten Free too . I had the Mackerel Pate and hubby had the charcuterie which was huge . We both had the lamb which was perfectly adapted for me . And dessert was to die for GF sticky toffee pudding and ice cream . Not cheap but not stupidly expensive either .

We stayed 3 nights at Abersoch and booked this restaurant on the second night. Great ambience and vibe. We were met at the start by a lovely waiter called Kaliel who showed us to our table. We found the food to be very nice and the service was tremendous. Staff were very professional and attentive, especially Kaliel who went the extra mile and is a great asset to this business. We will certainly return to this restaurant. Big thumbs up.

We recently had a disappointing experience at Zinc while trying to change a booking for a special occasion. Despite paying a deposit, the restaurant was inflexible with changes to the booking time, which was frustrating as plans can sometimes shift. The staff seemed ill-equipped to handle the situation and were unable to offer any solutions or accommodations to meet our needs. Unfortunately the rigid policies dampened what should have been a memorable celebration.

Amazing meal - ribs to start were fantastic followed by prawn main and a superb sticky toffee pudding dessert. My wife had the specials and they were brilliant too. Super quick service and high quality. We returned for a breakfast the next day and it was lovely. Highly recommend.

Had to wait 95mins for food to arrive! Got there for 11:20am after blackboard outside advertised breakfast was served until 12:00. Was told as there was a 40 min wait on breakfast they had stopped taking orders and we’d need to order off lunch menu. Agreed to stay on basis they took our lunch order and we’d receive food shortly after 12:00. 4 other tables were served before us and had finished their lunch before our food was served 12:35. Had 2 x very hangry kids!

Visited for drinks on a Saturday afternoon. The location is nice, looking out over the boat yard. We sat on a corner table and after about 20 mins a member of staff came over and said ‘you’ll have to move in a bit for the DJ’ no please or anything. No sign on the table, no prior pre-emption from the staff. Our response being ok - please can we sit somewhere else, to which we received shrugged shoulders as all tables were full. 5 minutes later waiting staff came back with security who said we needed to move. Upon getting up I politely said that this was bad form having spent £24.00 on 4 pints! The response was ‘if you have that attitude you can leave’. Poor hospitality and attitude towards customer service. Clearly the staff expect trouble here and are used to dealing with idiots, hence why they felt it necessary to come over with security to move us on. It is unnecessary to treat all customers in the same manner, as we certainly didn’t give them any hassle. Manners cost nothing.

Visited here on many occasions. Took friends last Saturday, but sadly left earlier than intended due to a large group of youths shouting and swearing. Young staff on duty were aware of this behaviour, yet the profanities and loud behaviour was not addressed. Not the ambience we have come to expect in Zinc and definitely not one we wish to endure again. Drinks are not cheap. We could have gone to the Vaynol if we wished to be amongst the Lah's.

Greeted at the door politely, we asked if they did a Sunday lunch. Yes was the answer and then we were seated, ordered drinks then we were asked if ready to order food. We replied yes please 2 roasts to be told they don’t do them!! We had already ordered drinks so felt obliged to stay in our hunger state! I’m sure it’s a great establishment just the girl that greeted us was away with the fairies I think.

Excellent breakfast with great view. Piles of avocado on the toast and great full English. We also ate an evening meal here the night before, I was a little disappointed with the cool garlic and cheese bread starter but the squid was lovely. My rib eye steak was cooked to perfection but there was something off with the blue cheese sauce. My husband’s chicken Thai curry was fabulous. It’s just a pity about not being able to enjoy the view when eating in the evening. The service was good too.

Very disappointed in the new set up for dining. You now eat in the dark, pub area. No atmosphere at all. Menu was expensive although food was good. Wouldn’t go again. Our annual Zinc fix for both breakfast. And dinner was always based on dining with a view of the harbour. Eating area inside now small ( 2 parties were turned away whilst we were eating).

This was a very good restaurant because the food was so delicious. The restaurant it self was very clean there was only a bit of pencil on the wood tables but that’s not much of a bother to me.

Lazy waitresses. On arrival my table was dirty (understanably). But a waitress came to the table 3 times before serving food and not one of them cleaned it- even though there were chunks of food. When the waitress came out with my meal and was happy to plonk it on top of the mess, I had to intervene. More training required!

Not the best steak ever, over priced, food went cold quickly as on silly boards, blue cheese sauce naff! Staff okay except messing about all the time.

Really disappointed - Abersoch’s only breakfast place and you can’t get in. They don’t take reservations so it’s absolute pot luck. Approached by a young lady to say to come back in 10 mins to get a table in the back to then on return to be very rudely told “ we are full” I asked if they would take the name to be told no. Don’t bother! come to Oriel Plas Glyn Y Weddw breakfast with a view.

We loved the setting of the bar, which is in a glass box with an openable roof that overlooks the harbour yards and presents a lovely sun spot for an indoor/outdoor experience. The restaurant at the front of this former pub is a little less impressive given it’s a dark room. We were very glad to be accommodated on the first evening we went given that the entire of abersoch unexplainable is closed, even where Google says it’s open. It’s closed. Zinc therefore was a saving grace! The bar doesn’t do any shaken cocktails… or anything that isn’t on the small list which was a bit disappointing - especially considering they have all the spirits to do so (we wanted a margarita, it’s not even shaken). there is no local lager - which would have been very welcome given the usual suspects. Drinks are quite expensive - £15 for a pint of ale (£5.50!!) and a glass of a cocktail (£9.50). Food - was good! The antipasti sharing board somehow lacked a bit of flavour… oils & vinegar would be an easy addition to fix and perhaps a different mozzarella as it was bland. Slightly more bread for £22 would be welcome, but we still wolfed it… so can’t complain there. The burger was excellent. Well worth an order. The staff were all accommodating and very friendly which was lovely. All Round. Given abersoch remained closed the next morning (seriously), we returned for breakfast. Thankfully taken in the bar - it was lovely! Again friendly and cheerful staff. Enjoyed the place. Could be a bit cheaper but will definitely visit again.

We came to Abersoch for my friend’s 30th this weekend and decided to come to Zinc for our evening meal. First off, the photos are a little misleading, we thought what a lovely looking place to eat and look out over the water and boats but we were told that area’s just for drinks. We were sat in the front bit which is a bit dingy and dark really. We were really shocked by the price of the drinks, an Aperol spritz for £11 is silly, especially when main courses are £2 more. Me and 3 friends ordered a bottle of the house Pinot for £22. We weren’t asked if we’d like to try it like most restaurants do. We tried it and no word of a lie, it was the most foul tasting cheap wine we’ve ever had. All 3 of us couldn’t drink it, we passed it around for everyone to sip and everyone said it was disgusting. I mentioned this to the young girl on the bar who was really polite and apologised, but then a middle aged lady came out (assuming she’s the manager) and said “I’ll taste it, if it’s gone off I’ll replace it, if not you’ll have to buy another because you’re not getting it for free”. It was pretty patronising, we didn’t want the bottle for free, we wanted to swap it for a drink that was drinkable, especially after paying £22. She tried it and said no that’s fine so you have to keep it. I feel like if we had all been in our 50’s and not late 20’s, she would have changed that for us. It was a real disappointment and put a dampener on the evening, she carried a bit of an attitude. Also, to top it off, everything was a bit grubby. My glass had a lipstick mark on it and when I mentioned this, there was no apology, just ‘I’ll get you another now’. Didn’t remove the dirty glass, just came back with a new one and put it down on the table next to the dirty one. The food we had was pretty average really, we expected better for the prices.

Went in on the off-chance for some food. Were asked if we were eating. We said yes please- we were. We were shown to a table and the server said that she would sort our drinks then come back for our food order. As soon as the drinks arrived and we were going to order food she told us the kitchen was now closed. Her explanation was that she should have taken our food order first. We weren’t even offered the cake menu which other customers who came in after us were given. If we were told when we entered that the kitchen was about to close we’d have tried elsewhere, instead of incurring a £16 bill for drinks we only wanted with our (nonexistent) meals. AVOID!

Just been charged nearly SEVEN POUNDS for a pint of peroni to sit at a dirty table outside!!! Who do they think they are????

New Year's Eve Special Menu scollops to start followed by Chateaubriand to share cooked pink to perfection and came with all the trimmings plus 2 sauces, absolutely amazing! We were looked after by lovely staff and watched the firework display over the harbour at midnight.

We like to support local places in the winter months. We met friends here who had booked. Over all I felt it was expensive for the quality of food. Staff on a positive note were friendly and good atmosphere. Main Course: Lamb was tough, pink as requested but not cooked to tender, and around £28 . Starter: Goats cheese in a ramekin could have been served with a relish as cheese not moist and would not pick up with the bread. Ciabatta bread hard, presented as cut into small pieces. Garnish on the side. Quite difficult to spread the cheese or dip bread into it as it was too firm. around 7 Overall disappointed meal for the cost

We’ve been coming to Zinc for years and we’ve never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly and helpful. Always worth a visit.

Although they advertise breakfast until 11.45am, a very cocky lady behind the bar (who calls everyone "Darling") decided they had finished breakfast at 11.25am leaving us in limbo after travelling there. No apology, nothing - don't trust the opening times advertised, and if you want good service go elsewhere!!!

Quick friendly service. Busy. Had to book online despite going in early pm. One of few restaurants open Tues evening in Abersoch. We really enjoyed our meal. Both had red mullet with red curry rice and fresh veg. Perfectly cooked and good portion for £20.

Called at Zinc for coffee and cake. From the outside this looked a lovely cafe and we weren’t disappointed when we were shown through to the rear with an outlook towards the marina. Drinks arrived very promptly and the young man said the cake was coming……. 20+mins later after enquiring if my cake would be long it arrived. If they had been busy that might have been an excuse but they weren’t. It looked as if the other customers were also waiting.

We got to zinc around 11:40 so knew we’d have to wait for the changeover to lunch which was fine. Sat down. Waited 15mins to come take our drink order. By the time he did we knew what we wanted and the server said ‘I can’t take your order for another minute as it’s only 11:59. Fair enough. 20mins later, we’d drank our drinks and I had to them ask a rude server if we could order. She just rolled her eyes and went ‘oh havent you ordered’ They were all too busy stood at the bar talking to their friend who’d come in to see them to give a toss about customers. Food was very average. £60 bill for 4people, certainly not a decent meal by any standards. My young child spilled her drink over, no offer to replace it. Avoid zinc and the terrible service.

Best thing about Zinc was the service, couldn't fault it. Shame I could nor say the same about the food. Brie and cranberry panini with the smallest sliver of Brie they could cut. Ham & cheese panini ok, nothing special.

Went to Zinc and had undercooked food that was overpriced, waiting staff average, the lad there who seemed to be in charge was asked what Tzatziki was, he told the customer it was a mayonaise based sauce with cucumber. I think they need a reality check on how to run a restaurant. I would not recommend

Who ever owns this place needs to get rid of the very rude staff and the chef. The staff were so rude and what you call a very overpriced menu serving undercooked food which was disgusting. One drink each, two burgers with fries £45 , absolutely appalling I would definitely not recommend this place, Mac Donald’s can do better than here. Shame on yourselves for serving awful food and employing rude staff.

We had a lovely breakfast here this morning. We were lucky to get in as they were understaffed, so not able to fill all tables. The veggie breakfast was delicious and the service was good despite them being clearly under pressure. Thank you for fitting us in. It really made our holiday 😊

My husband booked & paid a deposit for my birthday & our anniversary meal (just the 2 of us) - we were on holiday. Unfortunately I got recalled immediately on a potential cancer scare so had to dash for home. We rang and cancelled explaining our situation but unfortunately they did not offer our deposit back, I would have happily produced the hospital letter. I appreciate times are hard for the hospitality industry & indeed the need to take deposits but a little consideration for unique distressing situations should be something that is maybe taken into account. Based on that we won’t visit again & I wouldn’t recommend.
