We had ordered around 4 different dishes (main and side) and except for the shish lamb, they were alright - one of them was excellent in fact (flat oval shaped kebabs made of mince lamb I think). Shish lamb was too firm for me - perhaps more people like firm shish lamb which is why they had BBQ'ed it that way - I prefer very soft meat. The space inside is not huge (it's on the tighter side), as one would expect but we managed ok. I would strongly recommend booking in advance since there's limited space. I asked about parking before arriving and was told "yes" but recall the words "across the road" alongside so I found a suitable place at around 5 minute walking distance.

Love the place. Was very lucky to find Halal food in this location. Service was very efficient and warm. Off street parking is also available but limited right outside the restaurant. Food taste was really good. Love all the items that we ordered.

Love this place’s food, the best restaurant in Didcot in my opinion. Atmosphere could be slightly better as wait staff were stood quite near to table but the place itself is small so understandable.

Wow! Nothing like the smell of charcoal and perfect meats! The family platter really does feed everybody, be sure to bring uncles and aunts!

The quality of the food was good for the cheap price.And I would recommend booking beforehand.The service was OK there was only a few mistakes. IN THE END I highly recommend it if you like Turkish cuisine for a cheap price (with great food).

The food at Zigana is absolutely exceptional, and the service is just brilliant. I hadn't been back in the area for ages, but Zigana really stood out as a fantastic choice. The value for money here is outstanding - even compared to the prices in Spain, where it's unfortunately impossible to find such authentic and high-quality Turkish outlets. We shared some lovely Falafel, creamy Hummus with the best Turkish bread I've ever had, and some delicious feta sticks. Then, we tucked into lamb kofte, which was a real treat - perfectly seasoned and full of that real grill BBQ flavour. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Zigana is definitely the first place I'll head to next time I'm in the area. Highly recommended, and I'm sure it will delight many from the surrounding areas! Muchas gracias!

A decent little gem in Didcot. Food was good. Service was alright. The hummus is pretty good. They certainly need a baby changing station in the men's bathroom as well.

not bad, burger was nice and service was fast, but one thing i dont understand is why would you have someone who does not speak any english or understand any english standing on the counter serving people lol ?

Appalling Customer service from Zigana’s earlier this evening. Called to place an order to collect for take away and as always they said bring cash (which I always do for them) but unfortunately as it’s the end of the month and waiting for pay day I only had credit card. I asked if I could pay by card on this occasion and the young lad said he would go and check. The call was then answered by a women who said cash only, I explained the situation and asked as a one off could I pay in the restaurant by card she said no. I responded by saying so you’d rather not have my custom? And she said yes. On that I replied you have now lost a loyal customer to which she responded ok no problem!!!! Never been spoken to like that and yes I understand bank fees etc but as an established business I’m sure having customers is a priority….

Amazing, we are enjoy lovely food

Fabulous food whenever we go here. But BEWARE they do not take cards for take away purchases. They really ought to put this on their WEBSITE! We have now been there opportunistically, not been able to get a table, but also not been able to get take away either cos neither of us had our card with us. I have no idea why they take card for dine in but not take away....

Very delicious dishes. Variety and very good flavor. We arrived and the place was empty, but it took them a long time to serve us.

We managed to get the table without booking it for my birthday. We had lamb platter and a selection of 4 mezzes. Food was delicious, and mouthwatering meat tasted lovely, plenty of rice and salad on a side. Definitely we will be back. Thank you

Restaurant clean, well designed. Food fresh and perfectly made. Yummy. We Came today with two kids, ordered chicken platter as on the picture. First was 4 choices of maze with flat bread - we did eat all ;-) then chicken platter - is a huge portion so better to come hungry 😃

Absolutely fantastic food; have had takeaway here many times but eating in, the food tastes even better. Very well priced, so flavoursome, large portions and excellent staff: highly recommended to anyone, and the menu is huge! Great place 10/10!

A reliably good place to eat. Great fresh food that's good value

We booked last minute for a Sunday lunch, but they had 1 table left for 4 people, plus they had an essential (for our party) high chair as well. Service was efficient and surprisingly swift, considering the restaurant was full. There was a very "busy" but friendly atmosphere The food was excellent. I am not sure what was ordered, but it was obviously freshly prepared and extremely tasty. It was a perfect amount for us. Highly recommended. The only downside is that there is limited parking, but with a little driver "imagination," there should be a solution.

Very good, lovely grub, kind service, and very generous portions. Note to self: take a bigger appetite next time! One star deducted overall for lack of Low or No alcohol beer on the drinks menu. Other than that... all good!

Tasteless food and has nothing to do with Turkish food. The service is crab. The staff are uncourteous. The food was serviced cold, meat half-cooked and rice chunky. It was waste of money.

The food at Zingana is always excellent and the staff do everything possible to make you feel welcome.

Ate here with 6 mates, I personally traveled from Basingstoke and the others from reading on recommendation.s Service was fantastic from the moment I walked in to the moment we left. Lots of fussy eaters in the group, meaning fussy orders and the kitchen and waitress got it spot on! Food was brilliant, will have to come back soon to try more of the menu

The best place to eat in Didcot without a doubt. Food is freshly prepared and cooked on an authentic Turkish Manual. Baklava and Rice pudding 10/10, Coffee is also really good and fresh. They only take cash but there is a free ATM a few doors down by the Co-op Petrol station. You will not be disappointed!

Lovely looking restaurant with great food

Food was okay, the service was slow, and I asked for the bill promptly forgotten afterwards. I asked another waitress for bill. Then charged wrong amount!

I had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the portions were a bit small for the price. Nonetheless, I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

I came here for lunch several times and it's always been quiet but the food quality is very good and nicely priced for the quantity received. Nicely decorated and good to see half open kitchen and takeaway area. Will return again to eat delicious Turkish food. Great to see this in Didcot!

It’s changed it’s not like when it first opened, no tasty at all !

We dined there to celebrate my wifes birthday. This is one of the best restaurant meals we ever had and we are foodies who are difficult to satisfy! We ordered a family BBQ platter which included a variety of BBQ meats, mezzes, salad, bread and rice. Meat was amazing. They were tender, well marinated and cooked to perfection. We had hummus, olives, dolmas and Shakshuka. All were very flavorful. We loved them. The mains arrived as a large plate with rice and barbecued meats on top. The skewered meet was a sheer joy. They are the best seasoned bbqed meat I've ever had. Though regular rice eaters we are not used to eat large grain rice. To be honest we do not usually like large grained rice. We were pleasantly suprised to the pleasant aroma and flavourful rice! Salads again were well made. They had ample amount of like went well with other items of food. Hummus again was very good complementing when mixed with other food. I had a glass of Turkish red wine to wash all these down. I loved the small plates we had. I felt it was great to eat on these slowly to enjoy all flavours, however there might be different opinions! Service was good. We paid 86 quid fof the whole meal. I felt it is very reasonable price for such goid food. Quantity proved to be too much for 4 hungry adults and two kids, despite being mentioned as enough for 4-5 people. But we could not of course put such excellent food to waste. So the remaining came back in a box which the staff kindly provided waiting to be consumed in the fridge. The space was bit tight. The decor was fine. There are few parking spaces in front of the restaurant. 5 stars indeed!

This was a really nice experience. As you walk in you get to see all the food being prepared and grilled over coal. There is a huge menu with a focus on grilled and bbq’ed meats. But that’s not all. The bread was fresh and really tasty. I had a combination kabab with shish and Adana. Which came with salad, rice and bread. There really was no need for sides. Only down side was the broken card machine.

Hands down the best eatery in Didcot.

First time trying Zigana, we had a takeaway this time. Ordered the Chicken Platter(see pics), Halloumi Salad and the Chicken Guvec. All was delicious and generously portioned. I particularly liked the Chicken Wings and Chicken Beyti.. fabulous succulent flavour! The Platter comes with 4 mezze of your choice, and both that and the Guvec come with generous portions of rice, salad, Turkish Flatbread, yogurt sauce and chilli sauce on the side, which is really great value. We had enough food for 4 dinner portions and 3 lunch portions the next day..so we spent £65 and had 7 meals out of it!!! The takeaway food is well presented and packaged with care. The restaurant is well thought out and nicely presented, with a smart takeaway counter being separate from the main seated restaurant. The folks at Zigana really have their A-game on, well done!! We'll definitely be coming back next time we want a healthier takeaway.

An amazing place to eat or to get a takeaway. Excellent staff. On this occasion it was to collect a takeaway and it is always ready when I walk in. Great service and amazing Turkish food. Update, another takeaway ordered and again it was amazing. Ordered and food collected within 30mins, but order early especially on a Friday and Saturday as they get busy because it's that good.

Just discovered this place. Ordered the mixed platter and collected. All cooked over charcoal for authentic taste so it does cost more but well worth it. Next time we will eat in.

Really nice food and good service What's not to like

I’ve ate multiple times from here, consistent good food! Their grilled options are the best and massive lamb chop portions! I only gave it a 4 because their take out isn’t t as good as when you dine in but thats the case with alot of places!

This place is overhyped and I don’t understand why everyone loves it. Placed an order tonight to takeaway, the girl on the phone was disinterested and said to ask about the student discount even though it’s on the website. Picked up the order and it was missing an item. Got told that I was the one that left it. Ordered a burger - came without the salad despite asking for it and no drink either. I really don’t get the hype about this place and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

The restaurant was generally clean The food was freshly prepared and fine. It was prepared in about 15 minutes, which is good for freshly prepared food. The parking is a bit of a pain

We can't get enough of Zigana. My wife lived in Istanbul as a child and really rates the authenticity too. For her birthday Zigana delivered us enough food for our big party (30 adults + kids) and it was all brilliant. We ordered way too much but I was happy eating leftovers for lunch and dinner the next day!

Best place to eat in Didcot. And you definitely get what you pay for. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great food tonight ! Has to be the best in Didcot/local area for the Turkish food. They also sell Efes this is a favourite of mine. My only critic i asked to swap my rice for chips not an issue however still got rice with my bbq trio. Human error but food was still great !

Wow! £12.20 for a take away single skewer of chicken with a very small amount of salad and a small portion of potato salad. Now comes in a wrap and without rice. Has certainly changed since I last had a takeaway. Certainly nice food but taken aback by the small portion and big price increase.
