Zian Palace in Taunton Deane

Did not deliver food. Told me that driver was on his way but food didn’t appear. We live a few minutes drive and they would not accept that if food actually was on its way it would have got to the destination. Really poor service.

Wonderful Chinese takeaway for 6 people on New Years Eve. Busy night so didn't expect 100% but wow..... what a meal. We had the set meal for 2 + 4 other meals. Curry + EFR ( really enjoyed this one!) Chop Suey, Chow mein, S&S Chicken balls, EFR +chips.... Couldn't fault any of it. £2 delivery.... arrived hot and very tasty! Prices so much cheaper then we usually pay back in N Devon. Well done Zian Palace!

Worst chicken curry I’ve ever had. It was so ridiculously sweet none of us could even finish it. The chips were also reheated god knows how many times. One of us also found something white thick and stringy in a bit of the chicken. Definitely would not recommend!! Considering the price everything is now, you look forward to a treat every now and then, and to be disappointed like this is so frustrating.

Just had a takeaway, got home and the sweet and sour king prawn balls were inedible. The batter was rock hard and when I cut into them the king prawns were overcooked and cheery hard. I politely rang the restaurant and was told they would not replace them or even give me any discount on a future order!! Very disappointed and very poor customer service

Ordered for delivery - Amazing food! Veg Chow Mein was cooked superbly. Sauces all had amazing flavours even down to the EFR. Friendly delivery driver too what more could you ask for? Thank you!

they have a selection of 'vegetarian dishes' but i also noticed they do some tofu dishes as well (bean curd) so thought i would give it a go - can recommend the Bean Curd with Green Pepper in Black Bean Sauce - delivery pretty swift too

Four people decided to have a last supper together on the eve of the U.Ks second Covid lock down. Four different main dishes, all excellent, all arrived hot. This is our second take away from the Zion Palace and there is no way that this will be our last order. My only criticism is with the egg fried rice which, while tasty, did not have any egg in it, this is the reason that I didn’t give them five stars.

Been using this place for 6 months not had a bad or average meal yet. Always collect as too much to go wrong with delivery, food has always hot and tasty. Compared to the chinese buffet in town this place is excellent.

I can honestly say this was one of the worst Chinese meals I have ever had the displeasure of eating. We ordered off the set menu for 25 pounds/ the beef was Chewy, so salty you couldn’t actually eat it. And so greasy it’s left a film in my mouth. My recommendation don’t go there unless your a 50 a day smoker.

Take away took 2 hours to get to us (we are half a mile from the place). Cold and nasty tasting food arrived... never again!!!

I recently moved to Taunton over a year now, and I can say this is the best Chinese that I have ever had, the staff are some of the nicest of people, and the food is outstanding. I came to pick up my order Sunday night for my weekly Chinese. But I noticed that the staff had a problem with an order because a customer wanted a refund For a big order . Firstly the food the customer brought was from the day before, if I had any problems with my order I would have called the same day😂 they showed me over half of it was missing! Yet they still said the food was horrible. They brought back all the leftovers which was only a few pieces of meat from each dish. Secondly the customer was being really discriminative towards the staff which I think is not ok, I can’t believe what some customers would do to try and get some money back😂

Ordered £75 worth of Chinese food, tasted awfull, 6 people agreed so i took the order back the following day, to show what was wrong, owners didnt refund or offer a credit, so this place is off our list, absalutely the worst meal ever... Avoid

Awful. We ordered £65 worth of food and £30 of it was in edible. Never again would I darken their door. Were they interested in our complaint... of course not! Apparently they hadn’t received any other complaints. Wish I’d seen the reviews on here first as they would appear to contradict their delusions of acceptable.

Very disappointed, this was the only Chinese I’d use but never again. We ordered 2 set menus and some of our order was missing, I phoned to ask for the missing items and it took 15 minutes on the phone to them! They then said they would replace what we were missing within about 30-45 minutes- not good when the other food would’ve been cold by this point. Items arrived over an hour after the phone call - however still one item missing! I’ve never had any issues with Zian Palace but the girl who quite frankly sounds too young to be legally working, was rude and the owner was rude as well! I normally order through Just Eat but as they’ve been taken off there I rang instead. Never ever again will I order from them. Such a shame as the food is brilliant

I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here. The staff are rude and make it very difficult for you to place an order often putting down the phone on you. It’s a shame as it used to be a lovely Chinese but now I wouldn’t ever go back.

I chose to order a meal for 8 of us from Zian Palace as I have done many times before. I ensured the staff member repeat my large order back to me as have had missing dishes previously.

It my third visit and once again from taking my order to delivery and customer services all was perfect. I don’t understand previous comments left hire and wish they are more places as Zona Place. Owners are doing excellent job and I’m sure I re visit them again. THANK YOU AND KEEP THIS EXCELLENT JOB!!!Highly recommend this restaurant

I've had great chinese from here many of times, but the last few occasions they have forgotten part of our order, and the food has tasted bland.

Order via the App, delivery was bang on time and with no problems, hot enough and nothing missing, normally order from Manyhoes but wanted a delivery, food was not as good, bit dry and with not as much in the dishes, more rice and noddles than chicken, not the cheapest place and was expecting better, think I will go back to my usual

Ordered via the Just Eat App, very easy advised it would be 20 minuets later than we ordered but came on time, nice and hot and great food, good value and we got a free bottle of coke, first time I have use this service and very please and will use again

El especial de chow mein tenía un par de langostinos es muy pequeña y no mucha carne. Realmente seco. No pedir de ellos. Lo que es más molesto es nuestro amigo nos mostró su chow mein y parecía mucho mejor que la nuestra. Claramente me hayan bajado la calidad por cualquier motivo. Tuve esta me recomendó llevar, he escuchado malas críticas pero me dijeron que no había cambiado de manos y ahora estaba muy bueno. Así que la última noche nos coloca una orden en 5. 30 para una entrega de casa, 60 minutos de espera. Lo que es normal.

Would never order from anyone accept Zian Palace. I had a horrible experience with an other takeaway when Zian Palace were unable to deliver and will only ever order from Zian Palace in the future.

Really horrible meal. Satay chicken that was soggy, gloopy and tasteless, followed by a "crispy" half duck that was slimy instead of crispy. Really disappointed, didn't even eat the chicken.

Visited my brother in Taunton and ordered from here, the food was late, the order arrived wrong and the food wasn't very good quality.

Order was wrong for the first time in as long as I can remember. My partner had no food to eat. Restaurant wanted to give us a free meal next time as they were a bit too busy to deliver another one... what use is that. Luckily English man answering phones for once was so helpful he managed to get them to deliver a new meal. But owners had no intention of correcting their error was it not for him.

I didn't enjoy the taste of the food. It tasted like it had been reheated and it was rather tastless. I doublt that I'll order from here again but the service was quick.

We order as the food tastes good but disappointed that time is added on to the estimated delivery time. 20 minutes this time (on a Monday evening) and 40 minutes to my partner's order a couple of weeks ago which meant waiting an hour and 40 minutes for tea!

Food was not all that. Added another 20 min to delivery time so waited 1hr 5min for something that went in the bin.

My food was half an hour late (putting my full delivery time at 2hours after originally being told 45mins) and cold.. food was not as described on the menu.. I ordered crispy duck in plum sauce, I received roast duck in plum sauce (this dish was nice but not what I wanted). I specifically asked for beansprouts not pineapple with my duck, I received pineapple. After using this establishment regularly over 5 years I was bitterly disappointed in the service and quality I received.

Sadly never got to have the meal .The restaurant added a further 30 mins to delivery time which made it 1 hr 15 mins ,after 10 mins over that time I gave them a call and it hadn't even been cooked so told them to leave it really bad customer service and for first time ordering from them it is also the last , real let down

I ordered a Chinese last night and have spent all day today throwing up. Knew a couple of mouthfuls in that it was dodgy. Have since found out that my mum has food poisening from there last week too. Don't trust the 5* hygiene rating

I am disgusted at their attitude and customer service. After being told the order was going to be half an hour late (which I had to chase as no courtesy call was given) they then refused to refund the delivery cost and were extremely rude and said either take the order or not. As it was for my partner who was at home with two very young children in bed and I was in hospital, there was no other option to collect or order something else therefore I was forced to accept the mediocre food order and given no refund for the delay, hassle and rudeness of the restaurant. I will NEVER be ordering from there again, no matter how good or bad the food was, the way I was spoken to and the lack of customer service has been enough to put me off. I am truly and severely dissapointed with how this was managed.

All good apart from delivered wrong drinks

The food was horrible. The curry tasted like someone had mixed in a load of baked beans or tomato soup in to it. We could't eat it. Shame the food from here is usually good.

Delivered someone else's order , then when I finally got mine it was wrong. Food wasn't cooked properly and wasn't to its normal standards!

Definitely an improvement on the last time I ordered from here.. chicken was succulent and tasty! Food was hot.. only thing I would say is it took a long time to be delivered but we did receive a courtesy phonecall to let us know.. will use again!

The restaurant added 25 minutes to my 45 minute delivery time and it was even later than that.

Ordered just after 7 and predicted delivery time of just after 8. At 8.30 I called and was advised it would be with us in 10 mins (despite just eat site saying it had already come). It was not delivered until 9.30!!! A huge waste of food and money as I could not face it at that time. Terrible service.

We ordered at 19.49 and it is now 20.29 and we STILL haven't got our food. I rang 30 mins ago to ask where it was and was told the driver had it and it would be 2 mins. So it's either going to turn up cold or I'm guessing we will wait another 30 mins. ... I've been a customer of zian for a few years now. Not any more. I will also be expecting a refund! !!!

Ordered Singapore fried rice & Salt and pepper chicken. When arrived although on time the rice was only warm,plus not spicy.It tasted the same as what special fried rice would taste like. The chicken tasty.

delivery driver charged £1 more than should have and even corrected me when originally gave him correct amount, 45 minutes late but was marked as on time on here by restaurant, called and was told it was on its way with no explanation and arrived half an hour later and finally, the food was cold and soggy but tasted ok. I'm staying at the holiday Inn Express in Taunton whilst I'm working away from home & to treat myself I ordered from Zian Palace. This was my 2nd order in the past couple of weeks and I have to say I was happy with both the standard of the food & also the delivery time.

Food arrived late, pretty cold and not what ordered. Phoned up and were Told to just remove what we asked to be excluded from meal. Just said they were busier than expected. No sorry! Food was tasteless and not eaten! Won't be ordering again!!

Ordered and website said it would arrive 18:15. No sign of them at 18:30 so I tracked order and it said it was delivered at 18:15. Phoned shop repeatedly but no answer. Finally arrived at 19:30 with no apology for being nearly an hour late.

Took 1 hour 50 for my order to arrive. When it did it's was just about warm, there were peas in my curry that I had requested to not be there, and my prawn crackers were stale. Will not be ordering from here again!

Malaysian curry was a gelatinous, over salty mess. My meal ordered as a chicken with cashew bared a strange resemblance to a Szechuan... Didn't finish either. But the delivery came in lightening speed and it's all well priced... Maybe a second attempt next time with a different order.

Food arrived 25 minutes later than expected and no reason given from the driver for it, ordered chicken satay which didn't taste of peanut sauce at all, also had sweet and sour chicken and the chicken wasn't nice some pieces very chewy and not cooked properly. This Has put me off ordering from here again.
