Zhan's Delicious Room in Edinburgh, City of

Zhan's Delicious Room is a real gem that more than lives up to its name! We were staying in a hotel nearby and didn't fancy spending an arm and a leg of a hotel buffet breakfast and stumbled upon Zhan's. We had a fantastic breakfast at a very reasonable price and went back every morning we were in Leith. A great choice of breakfast / brunch food served by the lovely owner in a relaxed and quirky setting. What could be better?

The establishment is significantly overpriced. We were charged over £16 for two coffees and two brownies. Additionally, the cakes on display had no visible price tags, leaving room for arbitrary pricing. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place.

We stumbled on this lovely little cafe by accident... run by such a lovely lady from Bulgaria ..who told us that she was there at 5 am cooking and baking everything from fresh.not a bit commercialised..very homely and lovely coffee and cake..I wish we lived near so we could try all off her lovely food..but we were just visiting from the uk.thank you x

Cute little cafe with various great options. We were greeted by a sweet lady Daria (sorry if I spelled it wrong). She runs the place by herself. I have to say, the Scottish breakfast we got here was far better than the hotel we stayed at nearby at it was half the price!!! Next time I return to Edinburgh I’m going to get breakfast here every morning. The cannoli and cake were homemade and delicious too. I had to pistachio cannoli. Daria is very sweet and she made the place feel like home. I hope all is well for her business here.

The food far surpasses the appearance of the paper menus. Delicious authentic falafel wrap is what I enjoyed. It came with a great serving of diced roast / fried potatoes, salad and coleslaw. The menu has a wide range suiting all tastes. Host was lovely. If I came back to Leith I would eat here again.

What a delicious meal and at a fantastic price. We’ve been to Zhan’s a few times and recommend it to anyone visiting Leith. The breakfast in the picture was enormous and all freshly made. We spent a while grazing our way through it whilst enjoying the company of the proprietor as she worked behind the counter.

We had a fantastic lunch in this cafe which has unusual decor and ornaments. The owner/ chef is a funny and friendly lady who does all her own baking and cooking. It's small but cosy and the food is excellent. Reasonable prices. If you're looking for something a little different, I recommend this place.

Nice little restaurant for a fast lunch. Products seem to be fresh. The holder is nice and helpful. The price of the dishes is more than reasonable.

Delicious home cooked food, good size portions at very reasonable prices. Good coffee and cakes too and a very comfortable and friendly place . Extensive menu, caters for dietary restrictions, lots of veggie options

Found this quirky cafe on route to the Royal Yacht Brittania museum. Absolutely delicious with loads of fresh fruit and nuts plus his homemade maple syrup. Would definitely return. Thank you.

Lovely people. Very Friendly with quirky interior. Coffee nice. My 2 rolls weren’t great. Firstly they were made 10 minutes before my wife’s breakfast but not served fresh but sat on counter while the woman finished the other one. The rolls were a bread that was solid and my teeth could barely penetrate so had to tear edges off. I’d go back and try again however.
