ZEN Chinese and Thai Takeaway in Norwich

Ordered through Just Eat. Extremely quick. Food was fresh, hot and very delicious. In the photo is a mix of our choice.. bamboo shoots and water chestnuts, Thai rice amongst other things that were equally delicious. Would definitely order again.

forgot my drink but got refunded for it so we happy again 3rd time ordering now and amazing every time

Food was disgusting. Not sure it was chicken. Meat was very thin white and rubbery not like chicken at all. We had the massaman and was so over powered with jasmine flavour was like eating perfume. No other flavours. 40 quid wasted

Me and my partner absolutely LOVE their chinese. Using deliveroo is a little longer delivery but collection it’s ready in about 10-15 mins. Best chinese we’ve ever had, we probably have one every week it’s so good!

ordered the large salt and pepper box for 2 people. we get this regularly. however today it arrived with 3 chicken balls, 2 ribs, 2.5 onion rings, 2 bits of chicken and prawns with the smallest amount of chips I've ever seen. Tried calling to complain but the woman kept saying huh huh so I've given up. will never order from here again

We only ordered two dishes (crispy chilli beef and vegetable fried rice) and I'm glad that we didn't order anything else! The size of the portions would easily have been big enough to share with a 3rd person, without any of us being left feeling hungry when we'd finished eating. The food arrived a lot earlier than we had expected it to, but that just meant that it was all still really hot. Definitely going to order from them again in the future!

Estimated time was 45-60mins. Then changed to 60-90 final arrived after 108mins. Which was double estimated time!! If this was stated on order I would have gone elsewhere!

King prawn in yellow bean sauce very disappointing

I really am disappointed… I ordered at 18:40. Notification said that food will be delivered by 19:40-20:00. Contacted the restaurant, 20:07 and received an update through text, with an apology saying my order will be delivered with a new later time 20:25. Nothing. I rang them at 20:28 and they told me that driver is on his way. Food arrived 08:35. THAT WAS 2 HOURS from time of ordering! And no compensation for the awful delay.

Food was ok. Difficulty is it gets delivered in a cardboard box, so goes soggy. The delivery lady was also very short with me. I live in a block of flats and was in my PJs when delivered, but asked me to come down, she didn’t explain that the door wasn’t opening so just seemed like an odd request.

I can only assume that the restaurant was very busy and had taken on more orders than they could handle. Food was alright but by the time we got it we had lost our appetite. It’s the first time we have been disappointed with Kam Moon and hopefully the last.

Excellent food , excellent service

The food is always good, but delivery times vary enormously. We always select a delivery time (as opposed to going for asap), but the last 3 orders have all been at least 20 minutes late & one was nearer 45 minutes late. You’re never kept informed (unless you request an update) & not 1 delivery driver has apologised for the delay.

Food quality is horrible, you can taste only salt. So much of it that mouth is burning! Takeaway packaging is horrendous. Was delivered in pica box 😂 and I had to pay for packaging 😬😲

Ordered food at 7pm and it is now 21:50 and no food has arrived called multiple times to check order and person on phone first lied and said it had been sent out to deliver, when called back they advised it had just then left and would be 30 minutes, 35 minutes after this called back and was informed they were too busy to talk as they had to go pack more orders, poor customer service

Very late and not fresh at all. Disappointing as they are usually great. Would let refund or offer discount for sub par service. Won't use again

I hate to leave bad reviews for small businesses but food took two hours to arrive and my order of vegetarian soup contained pork and shellfish so I would definitely NOT recommend if you have allergies as they do not take this seriously at all. I couldn't eat the soup so disappointing and two hours and two phone calls to get it to turn up just isn't acceptable. Ruined the night.

The food was good but the delivery was appalling

The food was alright, however the delivery time was appalling. ETA was 18:54-19:15 but ended up coming at 19:50.

This is our new favourite Chinese. Always consistent, hot and fresh. They listen to our notes and we really enjoy their food. Highly recommend

2hours and 45 minutes late!!! The food was soggy, cold and tasteless. Got to be the worst Chinese in Norwich. Was meant to be a lovely take away with friends and children! It was absolutely ridiculously late that the kids were upset and belly’s extremely hungry. Had to give them something else after phoning the restaurant after an hour and a half to be told there are 2 more infront of ours to do and would be a little later!! Really disappointed and would never recommend or use again!

Never turned up and don’t answer the phone. Zero stars wasn’t an option

driver called asking for directions, tried to assist but he was rude/said he wasn’t going to try anymore. We called back he said he was heading back to the shop. We called the shop they advised they would send a different driver, we requested new food prepared as the order was placed over an hour ago, they advised it would be delivered again within 30mins. The delivery arrived 50 mins later with a different driver who said it was easy to find. Overall so disappointed and ruined our evening.

Food was horrendous usually amazing but not this time said items where delivered tried to contact them but no answer had to get just eat to contact them had to wait a hour and 10 minutes for one of the worst Chinese I've ever had sadly after this experience won't go here again

I've ordered from Kam moon in the past few weeks and it was great but today the ribs were awful, they should have been in chilli sauce but turned up in what looked like cooking oil, I gave them to the dogs. What went wrong?

It's very rare that we leave a review, but this takeaway is so worth it. The food tasted amazing, the seaweed was spot on, the prawn and sesame toast was perfect, the hong kong style sweet and sour chicken was heaven. I haven't had a Chinese that good for over two decades. Great value for money and amazing food.

Tried it for the first time and loved it. As a Chinese i can say they do authentic food

First time ordering from this restaurant. It took an hour and a half for the food to arrive, it was a Thursday, not even the weekend. I don't understand, as they do this day in day out - they really need to sort this out. My food was nice, I had spicy prawns starter, which was great and prawns in garlic main - equally great. My son had a beef dish, which he said was really nice. My wife though had Pad Thai which was awful - dry and tasteless. We also got a Drunken Noodle between us, which was also dry but tasted horrible. I doubt we'll order from here again.

It's a shame we use to really rate this place but the last 2 times they've really fallen flat. The food on both occasions took over 2 hours to arrive then when it did it wasn't that warm and the food was spoilt due to sitting around too long. The chips were so soggy my lil girl would t even eat them and they are her favourites. Think we'll be trying somewhere new as eating after 11pm isn't really for me. Edit make that 3 times sadly we're saying goodbye.
