It tastes good, but I don’t know why the ratings too low🙃

The service attitude was so bad. I left before I even sat down. The waiter was too rude. I don’t recommend going there.

Awful experience. Very bad service but forced to pay service charge!! Toilet is out of order too. Won’t come again more!!

What a horrible place , I had food poisoning after went this restaurant, also never been a place where every staff is so rude , place not very clean especially the toilet was very dirty , stay away , save your money and time .

It has the worst food hygiene in Norwich, if you don't want to go to hospital with food poisoning. There is no licence and it is suspected to be a money laundering operation. Don't come here.

I ordered from Tasty Restaurant and unfortunately received an expired Vamino soy drink that was expired by a month. They should be more careful and check their inventory or stock regularly. Also, for other customers, please remember to check your drinks from time to time, as some restaurant owners may overlook their inventory checks. However, overall, the food was fine.

I had a couple of hours to kill In the train station but felt a little peckish. Someone recommended this place so I walked over... it was actually really nice. Fast service and I sat there for a hour or so and no one bothered me. The staff are friendly. Worth the visit.

Please dont ever visit this place! I ordered some sort of sauted spicy chicken and it completely ruined my taste buds causing sensitivity and tingling feeling. I complained about this and the manager told me rudely that she cant do a refund. I didnt even eat 20% of the food.I even offered to pay half the money. The manager lady told me its our mistake to choose that dish where it was the waiter who insisted to order that dish .. £13 for this worse service and food! Will never visit this place again!

Terrible place. Had some type of spicy fried chicken and experienced a burning sensation in the tongue. Complaint about it and the manager was so rude. Never went to a restaurant where every staff was useless.

Really, really lovely Sichuan food that's flavorful, spicy and has dishes that appeal to Asian people. E.g. it has cuts of meat like tripe, intestines and pigs trotters. Huge portions! We had the tripe and brisket in chilli both 香辣牛雜, and spicy velvetised pork slices. About £30 for two people, so really good value for money. Spicy pork trotters, and beef slices in chilli broth 水煮牛肉 also really good! You can clearly have hotpot there, but there wasn't much information about how you can have hotpot? Do you have to book in advance?

The food is very delicious, but the service attitude is too bad.Never met such a unruly waiter.Speaking rude, completely ignoring the presence of the customers.

Amazing authentic Chinese food with huge portions.

I arrived to find a party of 8 around a big table all speaking some language i didnt understand (possibly chinese) and i knew immediately i was in the right place. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I had no idea what i was doing so i asked them to recommend something. Im glad they did because the prawns in black bean sauce were unlike anything I’ve ever had. My mouth was alive with flavours. Unfortunately i thought the portion sizes would be like back home so i ordered two mains and a rice and with regret i couldn’t finish it all even though i really tried. To wash it down i had jasmine tea which was delightful. Im so glad i stumbled into that particular restaurant today.

wow, an exeptional restaurant, it was the first time to ever eat a place where you can cook your own food at the table, it was a failure at the beggining, i didn't knew how it should be, but the chef and waiters had the pleasure and patience to tell/show us, i recommend to anyone to wants to have a different experience when it comes to food

It was pretty good. Given that there was no one there on the weekend, which is actually very strange, the only thing we saw was that d'olivier worked very hard, but in any case, we did not eat everything for the reason, because there is a lot of spice. This is not very good for the reason, because all the food was with a huge amount of pepper, even the Chinese who was with me. He said that it is impossible to eat, but the difference is that we saw it quite well. And I would even say that, probably, we will come there again, because for the money that we paid. We ate quite a lot, so there was also quite a lot of food. If I understand correctly, they also have tables where you can cook yourself, that is, they bring you certain food that you ordered, and you can cook it, therefore.

Food is quite nice but service is terrible. The restaurant is sooo dirty, particularly the toilet. Never again.

Delicious food but it takes long time to ready. Never try their hotpot and noodle soup. (Expensive and the taste is terrible). But their others dish is amazing. This restaurant doesn't accept cards. The stir-fried albergine is very aromatic and the outer layer of it is crispy while soft in it. The claypot beef slice with much room in spicy soup is very delicious. Chilli lover should visit here to feed up your stomach. The restaurant is always very crouded and busy. The atmosphere is still considerable. They always play Chinese pop song which make your meal more comfortable. But the reataurant is very dirty. The waiter just simply clean the table and when you ask them to clean again, they acted very rude but the owner of this restaurant is friendly. I will be back again.

Visit tasty restaurant with my friend. We were looking forward to have the hot pot, however, with limited ingredients available, we changed to order dishes from the menu instead. However, one dish does not contain the main ingredient which is part of the name for the dish. When I asked the question, the owner simply just replied "we never have it since we opened". My friend had that dish before, and that ingredient was in when she had it. We can accept the explanation of not have tge ingredient available due to just reopened, but we do not like to be lied to. It's like order a chicken burger but no chicken inside. It is not the same, is it?

Tasty, friendly staff, not expensive

There is spicy and there is tasty spicy... creative and pretty but not much else on this occasion.

A Chinese resturant popular with local Chinese students. I order some basic tradition dish like stir fry vegetable, sweet and sour pork, plus a deep fry shrimp. All of them are good, though the pork can come in a larger chunk than it is. There are no 10% service pre-charged, but you can tip accordingly. I would prefer they dont add the carrot deco on the dish, as most customer would wonder how many times they have recycle it already.

While a limited menu the food is superb giving a great experience all round. Good value

Spicy food with perfect seasoning, from Sichuan in China

Chinese food at an affordable price. This place seems to always be packed with Chinese and waiters often just assume you're Chinese if you are just a non-Chinese Asian, quite annoying especially when you tried speaking English to them and got a reply in Chinese lol. Anway, food serves quite quick if you go during off-peak time but real slow reallly slowww during peak hours. Also, only accept cash.

It is a nice place with good food. I'd just recommend printing new menus (and having them proof read first). It will make them look more professional.

OUTSTANDINGLY BRILLIANT authentic Chinese cuisine with neat bi-lingual menu! But, if you are a typically gastro narrow-minded Brit, open your mental horizon to the simple & rather small yet comfortable premises. Friendly & high quality food including traditional Chinese HOT POT. Quantity consistently BRILLIANT too!! Hot fresh food. Great value for money. Although alcohol is on the original menu, dont expect to order any: proprietors now realise a licence is needed for such things! Tea is lovely though. UPDATE: Flew back into Norwich yesterday 23rd April 2019 and went to this restaurant again. Still outstandingly good authentic cuisine of central Mainland China.

Plus side - very reasonably priced with generous portions. Dumplings are great. Minus side - cash only, better explanation regarding what dishes compromise ( diced chicken fried with chilli came also with peanuts and what looked like, and had the consistency of, red plastic tubes. The worst dish I have ever had anywhere) And when it says H next to a dish, it really is and I love chillies!

Amazing Chinese food, really authentic.

Muy bien de precio y muy, muy "muy sabrosa" auténtica comida china. Ollas calientes disponibles y una buena variedad de comidas para elegir. Raciones de buen tamaño y un entorno agradable. El servicio era bueno también. Con ganas de volver por más.

Un cambio maravilloso de las cosas típicas cantonesas, este restaurante sirve platos de estilo Szechuan. . . . . . Cargas de ingredientes extraños en salsas picantes y soposas. . . . . Y un montón de chile. Fuimos allí según los comentarios anteriores para una reunión familiar el sábado a la hora del almuerzo y no nos decepcionó - por 1. 30, el lugar estaba lleno. . . . . . . ¡Y éramos los únicos occidentales! Las porciones fueron muy generosas y el costo total para 6 personas fue de 75. 00 tan muy buen valor. Sólo dos cosas de las que tener cuidado. . . . . . . el acceso para discapacitados es cero, ya que los inodoros bajan por una escalera empinada y solo aceptan pagos en efectivo (aunque hay un cajero automático cercano)

Sabrosa sopa de fideos con carne. Es realmente picante pero puedes acostumbrarte tan rápido. Solo un poco grasoso.

Not enough seating food could be hoter

A bunch of us visited on the recommendation of a colleague. Typical chinese chinese restaurant insomuch that it wasn't a western style chinese, and most of the clientele were chinese which I always thought was a good sign. The menu is in pidgin english and the waitresses English was basic. But as our chinese was non existent, all went well. Food was good and there are some truly weird sounding dishes on the menu if you're brave enough to order (Pigs intestine with yellow spicy sauce for example). Some of the tables have built in hot plates so no more food getting cold They've recently lost their drinks licence (Boo)

Totally authentic, right down to the hygiene issues. But it's properly spicy, well flavoured, and a favourite with the local Asian population. Avoid the dishes for on Asians, like the sweet and sour muck.

Please don't be put off by the location, or exterior of this place because it's honestly the best Chinese restaurant in Norwich. Authentic, delicious Chinese cuisine at a decent price. I would recommend their 'hot pot' to anyone, it tastes exactly as it does in China and I never thought I'd find it here in Norwich!

This Chinese restaurant is located in a scruffy part of Norwich, surrounded by fast food outlets and nightclubs. The exterior and interior are seriously in need of some tender loving care, and it is the kind of restaurant that I'd normally avoid! However, what induced me to enter was the high number of Oriental people dining (usually, a good indication of genuine ethnic cooking). We entered on a Friday evening to find the restaurant absolutely full, and had to queue for ten minutes awaiting two seats at a table to become available. What a great decision we made! The food was unlike any experienced in other Chinese restaurants that I've visited throughout Europe. Mainly soup based, it was very 'tasty', plentiful, and reasonably priced (not knowing what to expect, we ordered too many dishes and were unable to finish it all). The place was full with Oriental people, and we were the only two European people dining in the restaurant that evening. The only downside was the service, which was VERY slow - perhaps a cultural thing, or as a result of the restaurant being so busy. Fast food it is not! So if you've time to spare, and want a genuine Chinese food experience, then give the 'Tasty' a try.

I been here a couple of times now and can honestly say this is another hidden gem in Norwich. Don't be put off from the exterior, once inside it is quite cozy and you are offered a wide range of authentic Chinese dishes including Hot Pots. The dishes are always very generous especially for the prices. The staff are always helpful and while the majority of cliental are Chinese don't be afraid and feel free to ask if you are not sure what to order. To summerise without doubt one of the best Chinese restaurants in Norwich.
