I visited here many times and this is a very bad crappy place no one go here Literally heat up their food in their microwave

Absolutely loved the chicken karahi here! The flavors were rich and authentic, perfectly paired with fresh, fluffy naan. The chicken grilled burger was a delightful surprise - juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Pakistani cuisine in town!

The meat samosa had a foul taste, clearly not fresh, and the overall quality of the food was appalling. To make matters worse, the chicken was undercooked, leaving me highly disappointed.

First time visiting from Leicester and had a great time. Very clean and good decor, service was top. And food was delicious. We ordered the mixed meat platter and lamb karahi with Afghan clay oven naan. And for dessert, we had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful twist of the viral dubai chocolate which was a brownie with the lovely kunafa filling Glazed with chocolate sauce, all warm and fudgy and so indulgent with just the perfect amount of sweetness. Divine Alhamdulillah.

I enjoyed the food the first time I came here, so I thought I’d bring my family with me the following week to eat again. But we were refused a table upstairs, because apparently not having a woman with us meant that we weren’t family. Downstairs had no tables, so we were offered to sit at the back on the floor, which was ridiculous and quite frankly felt very embarrassing for me as I’d really bigged this place up. Upstairs was completely empty, and there was 5 of us. We drove 40 minutes to come here and were extremely let down, so it’s unfortunate that I will never come here again.

Changed owners. Food upset my stomach used to be a really good spot.

A very nice authentic Afghani restaurant with authentically cooked food

They charged £2.50 for salad which is complimentary in many restaurants. I wanted steak and chips but got served with steak and fries and had to cut steak with normal dinner knife and notna steak knife. The spinach they use is from the tin so the ingredients aren't fresh. The price for the salad for me made it not so great an experience and not somewhere il be coming back soon

This place does the most delicious afghan food. We always travel from Leicester to enjoy a great meal here and it's well worth the trip. Their lamb Biryani is the best. So are the kebabs and lamb chops.

Great food we Orderd it was very delicious but they didn't Deliver the spoons with the order so we have eaten the food by hand that's why I gave one star for service thanks.

Came to eat here after a few years and very glad we did so. Adults and kids all enjoyed the fantastic foos which was top notch in taste and freshness as always. Zeenat restaurant is still great 👍.

Tasty BBQ food, and you can have segregation with a curtain around, and there is a place to pray. BUT it is very dirty and furniture is shabby. About £15-£20 per head, If you have starters and mains.

Very delicious food but very Pricey Sometimes I feel like they scank you up for the portion of what they give you and the extraordinary prices. What they charge you for the table services? Okay, could be better. Sometimes I feel like they are very rude there. But they can improve, but the food is very tasty but very pricey and sometimes very small portions. One time I felt like they used a old Biryani on the new 1 on top of it, which is not good and it could be cost contaminated. They have to be extra careful of this. Do you the job properly and Safely. But other than that it was really good.

They give freeze salad. Lamb sheesh kababs were burned and had no taste. Chicken boneless karahi wasn’t fresh, they just heated it and gave it to us. The food here doesn’t taste good.

Waste of money they don’t even know the taste of chicken karahi …

It was my first and last time here. No taste . No spice. Nothing here. Ordered chicken on the bone karahi but it was not karahi it was just curry. When speak to owner he is idiot as staff. Spend £30 but me and my friend left the food. Dont waste your time here.

Zeenat Halal Butchers have understandibly removed themselves from Google, therefore unable to leave them a review but have been told they are operated by the same people. After checking my regular butchers just around the corner who did not have lamb chops in I came here being short of time although on a previous visit I knew the customer service was non existent. As you can see from the image this is not what you expect when you purchase lamb chops, I can not understand how they think selling these at full price is acceptable. I also felt dishonesty whilst they dealt with other customers too. I would have taken them back but living on approx 3 miles away and required to cook on the day I was not able to. I recommend trying other competitors. As for the restaurant It is well known in the local area as over priced for sub standard food but this was confirmed when eating food as part of an event hosted at the restaurant.

Great food. Had the lamb Karahi and chicken Karahi with plain naan. Both were great with nice flavours. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

We ordered Lamp Karahi on bone but were bitterly disappointed. The taste was below average. Roghni naans were very large in size but were dry. Sheikh Kebab and tikka were acceptable. Service was quick and the overall atmosphere wasn't too bad but the food was below average

Very overpriced And the food wasn’t cooked properly. Specially, the lamb chops. The rice didn’t have any lamb inside, no meat it’s supposed to come with a shank of meat I do not Recommended is over all the food was very bad including the service

We came from another city to Eat Afghani food after eating in the zeenat it is absolutely shameful that they call Afghani restaurant because it's nothing like an Afghan restaurant it was absolutely dreadful and it was very very overpriced just 2 people he charged £80

Excellent food of Afghan Origin a bit similar to Peshawari .Lamb Karahi which had to be ordered in Advance was very tasty .Kebabs & Tandoori chicken were perfectly cooked.Their speciality The Pulav was really an Afghan style & tasty

Me and my family used to always go here for birthday dinners. We haven't been in years. The food quality has degraded detrimentally. Food is no longer good and the environment is outdated. We used to take up the whole upstairs as there is at least 20 in my family who would come. There is no parking and the area it is located in means it is very hard to find parking. You have to wait longer than other places for food to be cooked and served. I'm not sure if it is still the same but when I went a while back, staff couldn't speak English well. I would recommend Pamir now which is around a 3-5 mins drive down the same road. They have parking and better food. I heard that the old owner of Zeenats was scammed out off owning Zeenats and is now the owner of Pamir. Would explain the downfall of Zeenats

Very tasty meat kebabs and the lamb curry was very tasty , good portion size. The killer was the nann , super fresh and tasty. I'd go again for this alone. Good place, good seating and friends staff.

Very slow service. Very expensive. After a lot of wait we couldn't get our food of order. Nan is too expensive in the whole of the UK I have experienced.

Good service with the food, though of standard quality, is not bad. The newbies staff who are mostly from Afghanistan/Qweata do need some training in customer service but it's not a major issue as the owner is aware of customer service requirements and does step in when needed to correct some minor issues.

Diarrhea, Stomach pain, always get diarrhea and stomach pain eating their curries and biryani, kebabs, they add lots of dairy products in it, have stopped buying from this takeaway restaurant permanently

After 3 years in the UK, this is the first time I have ever tasted some food that is as good as it can be! Amazing flavour, great taste, good portion, it was perfect in every way. It almost quenched my hunger for authentic hometown food. Thanks to the wonderful chefs of Zeenat and the team. Made my night :) Edit: I am saddened by the fact that Zeenat has degraded to an extent, it is not eatable anymore. I had to edit my rating to not delude people into believing Zeenat’s quality of food from two years back. The Biryani is nothing like they were before, it has come down to english flavoured rice with few small chicken breast pieces. Irony of this place is the prices of the food has been increasing over months and quality of the food has been decreasing at the same pace. Please avoid this place now.

Went out with family to this restaurant for dinner. Food was amazing but it was cold in the restaurant. No heating was on.

A decent Pakistani and afghani style restraunt. You have wide variety of dishes. I enjoyed chicken tikka with Naan and sheek kebab.

Pricing is to much high as compared to quantity and taste is also not so special like same other small Pakistani Curry's shop my personal experience other small shops have better taste than this restaurant but this restaurant has over pricing. "Not worthy restaurant"

Zeenat restaurant menu prices have gone sky rocketing high on stoney Stanton road , they should at least match their prices with their rivals, as a result I don't go to Zeenat restaurant no more,I mostly choose to go Pamir as it's a exactly the same taste with reasonable prices. Most people I know have stopped going to zeenath restaurant even London and Birmingham is not that expensive.

Superb place for grill and biryani

We visited as a group of 23 people for the first time at this restaurant. We all really enjoyed the food and the service. Everything we ordered was really tasty and moreish. Next time we visit Coventry we will definitely go there again for food. Highly recommended 👌

Food is decent but way overpriced, customer service is non existent, hygiene is terrible, dirty cloths being used in the kitchen, loads of loose food debris around the display cabinets & fridges, decor is almost like a mass banqueting hall, very cold, very old, tables are greasy & dirty, the ambience is uninviting. Portions are also not great for what you pay, especially if you get a takeaway.

Food is good but service is really bad. They take your order and then don't even check to see if you need anything after serving you. They're also really stingy with their sauces. For a family of 6 we only got two tiny sauce dishes and had to ask for more which they gave reluctantly. Mango lassi is too thick in consistency and very overpriced. Decor is not great either. Toilets are shabby. The whole place needs an overhaul.

Hhhhh, Just wandering around stoney stanton road. I was thinking to go to eat Taksim, But When I nearly get there, I just saw this place and went in there. I've tried Pamir before, This is my First time try zeenat. The food is ok, I had some lamb karahi and some garlic naan. karahi was good but just a bit greasy, I think That's their cooking style lol. I haven't tried their Afghan style lamb tikka karahi, Because it takes around an hour to make, I can't judge which one is better. Pamir or Zeenat, anyway the food is nice and the guy on the counter is very friendly as well. It's just a bit expensive, it costs me around 15 pounds, anyway It's worth a try. xx

One of the best afgani restaurant in town. I have tried almost all of their main cuisines in my repeated visits. Quality and taste of the food is very good and consistent with a reasonable price. But the ambiance is not upto the level. Always felt very noisy. There is a lot to improve in cleanliness of the floor and tables. Also, it is hard to find a parking near by.

Highly overpriced. I ordered kabali pulao for £12.99 and that was not even a single serving.

I recently visited this restaurant but it was very pricy compared to other places with similar menus, but I have to say that the food was absolutely delicious. Despite the higher prices, the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chefs were clearly evident in every dish. While the cost may be a deterrent for some diners, I personally felt that the exceptional food and overall dining experience were worth it. If you're willing to splurge a little bit and are looking for a memorable meal, I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.

Very nice Pakistani/afghani food. If you want a good curry in coventry never disappoints. I recommend the chicken jalfrezi so good!

Lovely food specially the Indian asian kind of food and taste is what to expect here. Try mutton chicken curry/ gravy and naan and l Biryanis.

Had mixed grill and lamb chops chilli masala, both were very tasty. Clean, quiet place with helpful staff. Recommended!

Zeenat is nice place to eat good for family and muslim women who wear the vail as there is curtains upstairs to decide rooms so have privacy also the food is very tasty The only downfall is it is on more expensive side I these days they should look at their food with so much competition around lower their prices

Good food ,can improve on customer service

Amazing desi food. The chef prepares the meal as per your 🌶️🌶️🌶️ tolerance. The food overall is delicious and the portion size is satisfying.

Wouldn't even give one star, they bring the starters out with mains, they didn't follow instructions to bring 2 x roti out first and 2 when we request. We asked for the chilli to be higher on the meat but they did it on the chicken instead. The waiters were sat upstairs playing on their mobile phones and had to be prompted to come over multiple times. Don't think I will visit again or recommend family and friends

I would like to start off my review with praise for the staff and the decor of the establishment. I absolutely loved the unique decoration of the inside of the restaurant, from the strobes of multicoloured lights, the glass mosaics and drawings and the "Afghan Styled" (as I had been informed) seating in the lower end of the restaurant, which was not made for our family style but we are very sure is much appreciated by those who do use it. The staff was very helpful for my visit, I would like to thank the waiters and the hosts who were always alert for their kind hospitality, as well as the chef's for their nice food. in my most humble opinion, the food was very good, though could be improved. Overall I'd give my visit a mediocre 7/10 and will definitely recommend this establishment to families and friends. follow me for more reviews on restaurants x
