Zaytun in Croydon

Muy buen restaurante! La comida deliciosa y el ambiente súper padre! Muy Recomendado para ir con familia o amigos.

I used to use this take away a lot maybe once a week but it had been taken over and I hadn't use it for a while, I ordered from it on Friday and all my food was bland . my sag also was average at best and my chilli chicken just tasted of tomato puree a real shame as it used to be a little gem

This was our regular Indian take away but I think this is the last time for us. They always had a habit of forgetting things we had ordered and paid for, this was forgiven as the food was good. Yesterday we ordered and the food was rank. The breads we ordered were so soaked in oil they dripped really sickening. I love a hot curry and always order Vindaloo, this normally brings tears to my eyes from here but this time had no chilli in it at all? All the potatoes in our curry and Bombay aloo were still solid and very undercooked. The biriani was too oily too. We through the bread right away and had 3 dishes of nasty food left that will be thrown too. To the restaurant who ever is cooking your food right now has improvements to make or you will lose all your customers😠

Pedimos desde aquí muchas veces durante los últimos años y siempre ha sido de buena calidad y fue agradable ver a los chefs en la cocina si quieres. Recientemente parece que ha habido unos pocos cambios en la gerencia, primero la cocina tenía una pared divisoria y ventana añadida y ahora ha sido completamente pintado y la cocina nos trasladamos. Por desgracia, esta parece ser ahora reflejado en la calidad de la comida, he oído el ping de un microondas y la mayoría de la comida no era tan sabrosa. Además de la nueva decoración parece un hospital. Espero que puede la vuelta.

Yo uso el zaytun una vez a la semana y es la mejor comida india para llevar que he utilizado, el menú tiene muchos platos que nunca he oído fuera y todas han sido excelentes, no parece mucho desde afuera, pero es una pequeña joya

My daughter and her friend ordered a takeway tonight at 6.40 and were told it would arrive at 7.30. At 8pm they phoned to ask where the food was to be told it was 'on its way' and that they were short of drivers. At 8.30 they rang again ( to put this in context the restaurant is 3.5 miles from our house) to be told the driver could not find our house ( despite having sat nav) and had gone back to the restaurant to get our contact number. At 8.50 he rang from Purley train station (?) to again ask for directions. At this point he was about 100 yards from our house. He was completely unable to understand basic directions. At 9pm my daughter rang him again and he was 20 yards from where he had previously been. In exasperation she went to meet him to collect her food which she is now eating three hours after ordering it. It was of course luke warm having been driven round for two hours. I phoned the restaurant to complain to be given assorted lies about the reason for the delay - each time I queried the validity of the particular reason I was given a different one. Do not order if you want to eat the same day.
