Zari premium indian takeaway in Charnwood

2 hours for a delivery but estimated 45 minutes. The food was hot on arrival, rice was ok, and curries were salty. We ordered a stuffed naan bread and a cheese naan bread. However, there wasn't much stuffing and the smallest sprinkle of cheese, we might as well have had plain naan bread. We recieved a couple of poppadoms as a "sorry". Extremely disappointed for a £40 order

First time using and won’t be the last, food was tasty, hot and service was great.

Very disappointed, 5 chewy overdone king prawns in runny masala sauce for £10.50. There are better options locally, I don’t plan to return.

This is the best Indian food ! Amazing succulent large prawn saag snd chicken tikka tawa Yummy Naans and for me roasted popadums just the best I’ve had . Restaurant quality food in your own home 🥰

We ordered the Biryani and Balti, and it was delivered much faster than I thought. I cannot recommend enough. 10 stars, best curries in the entire England. Flavours are out of this world, and fantastic portions. Do not consider any other options, you will genuinely be amazed and delighted by the absolute love you will taste with every mouthful. Transported me to India in a colourful palate explosion of flavour.

Ate here recently and was extremely impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they have a fantastic menu, and the food was absolutely delicious. The food was light and not heavy like a typical Indian, and prices were very reasonable, in fact, quite inexpensive compared to most restaurants, though that didn’t affect the quality of the food. Easy parking in the rear of the building. Highly recommend.

Really tasty food that arrived super hot. Each dish tasted different with varying levels of spice. Used them 3 times now and would recommend.

As Me and my partner both live and work in the village Anstey . We decided to try the new Indian Takeaway - ZARI. We ordered £30.00 worth of food, myself ordering the Mixed Grill, as having had this from other restaurants , know you can't go wrong. When it came, I joked with my partner about her hiding the rest of it. IT WAS TINY - smaller than a starter portion. One tiny piece of tandoori chicken and 2/3 tiny pieces of other meat. I was so unhappy and up[set that they actually sent an £11 dish out this way to a customer. Needless to say my partner's dish was tasteless and the chicken was chewy. IThe dish itself took me less than 2 minutes to eat , honestly from having had this from other restaurants ( Passage to india , fusion . flying horse etc ) Its always been appetising , and filling , this was the biggest let down.  Before jumping straight on to write a review, as i didnt want to publicly ridicule a business if they were willing to put it right, or at the very least apologise and maybe offer something for next time, the guy i spoke to had the biggest attitude and essentially told me to put up and shut up. Im now seething and would like all customers to know of my absolute shambles of an experience with both food quality , portion size, and customer service *** REPLY BACK TO RESTAURANT REPLY *** Please kindly do not dent my intelligence, by saying we didn't give you the chance to come to a resolution, we called and explained, i did not raise my voice, swear nor make it difficult for you to speak, you could have ' come to a resolution ' at any time , we were not being difficult , please do not use that as a defence mechanism. Simply admit fault, and not try to pass blame. Poor service.

I tend to be a little boring when ordering an Indian takeaway, Chicken Tikka Masala is my go-to dish. I'd say that it was one of the best, if not 'the best' I've ever had. I'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

Food was cooked well we all enjoyed the food, not too oily seems as though they use fresh ingredients. Tasted really nice. We tried a bit of everything and would order again. To improve would help if it was clear on the menu what was vegan or not as ghee is used a lot in Indian cooking so cannot assume a vegetarian dish is suitable for all. Some dishes were in the metal takeaway trays which is great, some in plastic trays not so great (for the environment/recycling).

30 mins after ordered, paid and processed, we were cancelled. Missed email, so went in. So 50 mins later, nothing. I get it's busy but a phone calls nice when you have to leave a number and think meals being prepared...

The best Indian in town with the most beautiful interior! . Absolutely loved the food. Chops were cooked to perfection 😋. Definitely will be ordering again.
