The place to go if you like Indian food that is full of flavour. We have tried many dishes off the menu whether eating in or to take away. The staff are very friendly and polite. We would definitely recommend this restaurant. It's better by a long shot compared to the one near where we live.

Restaurant was very quiet, the food was ok but the chips were like roast potatoes literally a potato cut up into chunks, the curry wasn’t the best had better else were, wouldn’t eat there again tbh .. each to their own

We use Zara’s on a regular basis, often when we have larger groups of friends round. They label the meals clearly, there is always ample in each dish and most importantly, the food is gorgeous. We’ve never had a bad meal and the communication is excellent. A great takeaway (we’ve eaten inside too and that was great!) Well done to all the staff.

Have to say with much reluctance after knowing how hard a resturaunt works like this,but!,having worked in a bangladeshi take away for much of my youth,last night i was dismayed at the poor quality of the food,chicken pakoras soggy,chicken pathia watery (base gravy and dry spices not reduced properly)the chicken was massively overcooked,no lemon or tamarind or fresh coriander to create the dish as described!,the mushroom pilau wasnt even seperated properly from its original basmati in the frying pan with ghee to giving lumpy texture,the keema nan was tasteless probably due to a lack of seasoning during prep,the one thing i will say is the sag paneer was ok,ive been let down so many times by this place i will not be returning,the phrase "captive audience" springs to mind

Collected a takeaway for my wife and I so cooked to order. We had chicken madras, chicken passant, garlic rice, nan, poppadoms, onion bhaji all very tasty and large portions, back home we get 5 pieces of chicken this had 9 or 10 large pieces. Highly recommended.

We ordered a takeaway for home delivery whilst on holiday nearby and were delighted with the service. Zara was polite and friendly when she delivered at the time requested and the food was delicious! The portion of mains were large so there was more than enough to share, especially as we had some sides. Just wish I had some tuppaware with us so I hadn't forced myself to finish everything!

Moved to Keyingham a year ago kept meaning to try them and finally did, got takeaway looking forward to dining in! Best had in a long while! Lovely thank u!

Attended on a quiet night, I ordered the main course which was a chicken breast stuffed with mince and spinach, and when it arrived I tried to cut into it the chicken breast I couldn't it was burnt and so hard I then pulled it apart when I did the chicken was dry, and inedible I could not chew it, it was like rubber, when I brought it to there attention they said it should not have been sent out like that, with that in mind when the bill arrived I was informed as a goodwill gesture they would only charge me half price for the meal I could not eat, not only spoilt my night and for that pleasure, they wanted to charge me half price for a meal I could not eat.

Having no knowledge of local Indian restaurants /takeaways we turned to trip advisor to see the reviews of places near to where we were having a short break. Some of the reviews for this place were really bad, having decided to stay with the good reviews we hoped we had made the right choice. We did, superb quality and quantity, one of the best takeaways we've had in a long time. Plus friendly helpful staff and delivery driver.

Chicken was like rubber and the prawns were disgusting . Pickle tray quantities were small apart from the lemon flavoured watery thing !! Naan bread was tiny.

We were celebrating two birthdays and did want the meal to be special. Our party included a vegan, a person allergic to potatoes and who tomatoes upset and someone dairy free. Also a person who will eat anything. We were brilliantly catered for and our meals made exactly as we wanted and needed them to be . The portions were large and very tasty. We all had starters and sides and main meals as well . Everything was wonderful.

Ive ordered takeaways before but never sat in for a meal we got 2 kormas and a pickle tray and it was fantastic + i have got fed up with chips but these were similar to roast spuds crispy, the service was great and the girl very helpful, we both really enjoyed the night thankyou

The last 2 occasions we have ordered a delivery we were told an hour and a half. Last time waited nearly 3 hours and so far tonight 2.5 hours. When ring to ask where food is repeatedly we are told it is on its way....

Fantastic meal and. wonderfully welcoming host . Wide and varied menu with lots of vegetarian options. Excellent large and pillowy naans and great spicy curries. Kitchen and chefs friendly and accommodating, also very clean and tidy too.

Visited Zara's tonight and it was excellent. The food was freshly cooked and so delicious. Sadly we were the only one's in the restaurant as they definitely deserve to be busy. We will definitely return.

Had a takeaway last night. Delivery was exactly the time we were told. The food was fantastic. I tried a dish I had never had before & asked for it vindaloo hot & it was spot on. Will definitely be using again & once this lockdown finishes we will be visiting the restaurant. Highly recommend the Chicken tikka Handi

We arrived in the early evening and it was an hour before we got our starters and another hour before the main course was served. However, drinks were promptly served. I had a lamb curry that was so tough I was struggling to cut it up and chewing was another battle. The chips were oily and couldn’t be recommended. The Bombay potato was tasteless. We were a party of six and when complaining to Zara she took just £5 off the bill and said that she would speak to chef. No help to us however. I have had good meals in the past but won’t be returning.

I have got to say we as a family have just enjoyed one of the best meals of all time. 4 adults and 2 young children have had a fantastic experience and even better meal. Great hospitality great food and great price. I personally want to thank them for such a great meal and afternoon.

Zara's used to be amazing the best in the area bar none, something has changed and is now very very average at best. We've gone from a weekly visit to going elsewhere, gutted but it's now off the list.

Been a fan of Zaras for years, couldn't be beaten a right gem. However, within the last two months the dishes have changed completely, they used to be a dark brown with a drizzle of oil on top and beautiful tasting. Now however they're a pale brown and all taste (tasteless) the same, its sadly I think we'll be looking elsewhere, I know of others that think the same.

I visited Zaras with my Fiancé we were greeted with a warm welcome the drinks were ordered quick and my fiancé had chicken korma with egg fried rice and I had chicken curry with pilau rice and had to garlic nan bread and the prices were very reasonable and we really enjoyed it and we would definitely come back again

We chose the Tandoori Banquet, £29.90 for 2.1st we got a popodam each and share the pickle tray.2nd we got a onion bahaji a tiny piece of chicken tikka and a tiny piece of lamb tikka, smaller than a oxo cube.3rd we got the main course, 1 shish kebab (small sausage to share), the chicken must have been very small and have 4 thighs we got 2 tiny thighs with very little meat, the rice was supposed to be pilau but had no taste just like boiled! 1 plain nan to share, the curry sauce was more like thin gravy with absolutely no taste, salad was a bit of sliced onion each.4th course, we asked for Kulfi, as advertised, we were told they no longer do Kulfi but we could 'buy' some ice cream downstairs? So we had to have tea! 20 minuets wait.£7 for 2 glasses of flat lemonade.Poor quality, small portions, very little taste, not as advertised. Expensive for what we got. I gave 2 stars, generous!

Beautiful food! We ate this whilst camping out. Lovely service, and really nicely spiced food. Naans are lovely and the pickle tray was perfect!

Visited with my husband and 2 children (age 4 & 8). We usually visit Zaika in Hedon but as it’s closed at the moment we gave this place a try. The restaurant was upstairs with a pub/bar area downstairs. Upstairs the restaurant was set out nicely and we were greeted with a warm welcome. Our drinks order was taken quickly and we were offered poppadoms and pickles, which we all enjoyed - there were 5 or 6 different pickles/sauces to try - all delicious. The food menu was extensive, I opted for chicken tikka rogan josh with coconut rice and my husband had chicken madras with special rice and a peshwari naan to share. There was plenty of meat in the dishes and both were superbly flavoured. Portion sizes were also plentiful. There was a children’s menu, our children opted for chicken korma which was deliciously creamy, with rice and chips - the portion sizes were virtually the same as the adult meals. Service was attentive and friendly. Desserts were ice cream based with lots of flavours to choose from and sauce and sprinkles added, to our children’s delight. Overall a delicious meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We will definitely return.

Booked a table for 20 to celebrate a special birthday. Restaurant coped very well with orders. We were amazed how they managed to serve everyone at the same time. All piping hot. Food was fantastic everyone had a great time including the kids! Would highly recommend.

We have had numerous takeaways from here , mostly every week after we been introduced to this restaurant by one of my customer in Preston ...it’s delicious and freshly cooked food and reasonably priced, Friendly staff members as well Highly recommended

Absolutely terrible service got wrong order didn't get everything we ordered and what we did was dry and burnt and when we rung back to ask were our other things was we got abuse and hung up on absolute disgrace of a business

Take away - very basic things were wrong with the food, for example, stale poppadoms, salad that was not fresh, soggy batter on the pakora. The meat in all three dishes tasted cheap, the chicken and lamb was tough. Very disappointing.

We ordered a takeaway on New Years Eve and waited over 3 hours for it to arrive. We assumed this was a one off due to it being the busiest day of the year. On 7/4 we ordered a take away again and were told 1 hour. After 2 hours I phoned as it had not arrived and nobody had called to be told just leaving now... I was then put on the phone to a man (didn't say who he was) and when I expressed my concern at waiting so long and nobody even calling he said "do you want the take away or not." He then said it was too far. I stated that they do deliver to our area (Easington) according to their website and also when the order was made they knew where we lived and advised 1 hour. I recommended they amend their website if they don't want to deliver here and why on earth accept an order only to say 2 hours later too far for them! He said don't order again as you are too far - I advised there was absolutely no chance of ordering from them again. Appalling service both times, appalling attitude and complete lack of customer service of any kind. I very strongly recommend you avoid at all costs!!

We went here and had an amazing four course meal. Definitely recommend the food and the staff were very polite and helpful.

Visited with my husband and 2 children, curry was very nice and the place was quiet with only one other couple eating when we arrived , which suited us as we thought it was more personal , I noted the score on the door was 5 for hygiene which is important to me , the only down side was the service considered they were quiet was a little bit to slow , to much waiting , to order and for the food to come, otherwise a nice meal .

First visit to booked a last minute table at Zara’s on a Saturday night and was able to get me in no problem. When we arrived I thought it was strange that the downstairs was empty with no staff but a sign on the wall telling you to go upstairs if no staff around, strange! The place was empty but we were taken to our table and service was prompt. Lovely food but a strange white sauce in ten pickle tray and no vinegar would be my only criticism. All was good otherwise and price very reasonable. The Christmas tree was a funny point, not sure if it was put up in 69 seconds.

Quiet night, but it was a Thursday, however the service and food was excellent. My husband had the chicken tikka biryani and I had the tandoori mixed grill with side orders of saag paneer and mushroom baija - all delicious.

Ordered a takeaway a couple of times now from Zaras and it's always been top notch, food was piping hot and very tasty, plenty of meat in the dish and the flavour of the meal including the rice was perfect, really do recommend this place.

We've been here twice recently, firstly on our own and last night we visited with another couple. Both times the food was really nice and full of flavour.

A pesar de pedir nuestra orden varias veces, me hicieron esperar 2 horas desde la llamada para recoger el pedido. No pude evitar la sensación de que esto era una ocurrencia común como otro 2 personas en la barra también se había quejado de su larga espera y que en el proceso de espera había comprado y bebimos. Aunque la comida era buena, mi familia y yo nos sentimos como un público cautivo en el bar después de pagar. Si estás usando Zara's prepárate para esperar.

Un encantador Indio con una gran variedad de alimentos de calidad, los precios no se rompen el banco. Para llevar o comer en la elección es suya y signo de buen servicio fue, en mi opinión, cuando el nos preguntó si queríamos tomar las sobras de distancia con nosotros.

Ha sido una comida para llevar en ottringham pagamos 9. Zaras 50 para una parrillada mixta para encontrar que estaba 6 pequeños cachorros de carne una cosa finas salchichas y una pierna de pollo lo siento dolor en la pierna, ya que no tenían ninguna carne. Se fueron para con ensalada verde y una bañera de menta salsa pero me dieron una bolsa de lechuga sudoroso y sin salsa y fue muy seco sin nada. Yo diría que era un entrante o una comida para niños no es un plato principal y sin duda no vale la pena 9. 50. Encargué un cordero korma, que resultó ser de pollo, debe de check doble mi pedido cuando He recogido, pero el chico joven que me atendió me debe haber sido nuevo y era muy duro al realizar el pedido.

Después de ser decepcionado por un gran número de pubs locales que decidió no sirven cualquier tipo de comida en la noche yo estaba con un amigo, decidimos probar el restaurante que teníamos driiven pasado muchas veces. No sólo era la comida sabrosa, también fue que llegué a casa que mejorable con una bolsa para el perro. Volveremos a comer de nuevo muy pronto.

Aunque es cierto que la decoración no es el más vistoso y el lugar en general es un poco anticuado, pero la comida y el ambiente son geniales. es un poco de un caso de no juzgar un libro por su portada.

Zara's delivered to our lodge within an hour. The food was hot and tasty as well as being very reasonably priced. The whole package was eagerly devoured by the whole family.

Me apetecía algo diferente y tratando de introducir a los niños a algunos nuevos alimentos en lugar de la habitual comida de los niños que te dan en los restaurantes pub. A la llegada nos sentamos y el tío vino con menús y nos dejó decidir por un tiempo y luego volvió a tomar nuestra orden y era muy servicial en lo que nuestros hijos pueden cambiar y la receta para acomodarlos. La comida llegó y fue encantador. Había un montón de cosas así e incluso después de recoger la carne de ella y comer tanto como podíamos nos preguntaron si queríamos ensacado hasta llevar a casa con nosotros. El servicio y la comida era genial y la próxima vez tenemos una India usaremos este.

No es un simple problema con este establecimiento. La gerencia. La sensación es que están haciendo un favor por lo que permite en y que parece que no está dispuesto a hacer que los clientes se sientan bienvenidos. La comida es aceptable pero los tiempos de espera puede ser demasiado largo puede significativamente durante los periodos de máxima ocupación. Sus empleados que toma distancia pedidos es torpe, grosero y no se disculpaba.

Customers are not treated well. The staff are abrupt and unhelpful in my experience. When I called for a take out option the response was "we're to busy" and then they hung up. Will not return.

If you like a proper curry then this is not the place to go unlike what you get over in west yorkshire proper currys over there

Visited ZARAS in Ottringham on saturday on my friends recommendation, been there with family, was very busy even for takeaway there was lots of people that is normally good sign, a young waitress warmly welcomed us and showed us our table, it was very busy and we been told for mains it can be a little wait we happily accepted it, starters were delicious and so the mains, service was really efficient, found all the waiters and waitresses very alert, all the starters and mains were really tasty and fresh , even it was very busy night for them but we found it very satisfactory, environment and interior is very relaxing

Soy un visitante de la zona y yo visitamos este restaurante por recomendación de un residente de la zona. En primer lugar, la decoración dentro del establecimiento era viejo y anticuado, con una falta de auténtico ambiente (rap). Además, tuvimos que encontrar nuestra propia mesa y no fueron recibidos por cualquiera de los empleados. Además de esto, al recibir el primer plato que eran popadoms, eran tanto frío y seco. Igualmente, al llegar finalmente, el plato principal tenía arroz seco, con una salsa Tikka massala extremadamente seco. No había suministro de bebidas alcohólicas en el establecimiento y también sin previo aviso hasta preguntándoles. Aparte de esto, el personal durante mi visita le faltaba ninguna consideración hacia mí, esto es resaltada por: en ningún momento durante la comida visitaron la mesa para asegurar la comida era a la satisfacción. Como un comentario anterior empleado en la industria esto ha suscitado una gran preocupación con el establecimiento y recomendaría encarecidamente evitar en todos los costos!

Esta fue la primera vez que íbamos y desde el comienzo la bienvenida fue muy cálido, la decoración es muy agradable y relajado. El servicio era muy bueno toda la noche especialmente desde la camarera muy concurrida. Es un lugar traer sus propias bebidas alcohólicas con refrescos. La comida era excelente y una buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda volveremos y que parecen tener una próspera un lado también.

Recomiendo este pequeño restaurante indio íntimo. Es perfecto para parejas. El personal es muy agradable y cortés, limpio y elegante zona de comedor, un acogedor bar y una cómoda zona de estar en la entrada. La comida es una maravilla. Pedí un cordero Rogan Josh, mi favorito, y tan bueno si no es mejor que el mejor de otros que he probado antes. Precios justos y con la opción de tomar su propio alcohol, no te puedes equivocar. Además está situado en el tranquilo pueblo de Ottringham, un lugar agradable y adecuado para la intimidad de la experiencia. El aparcamiento no es un problema, ya que las calles cercanas y estacionamiento de la parte trasera acomodar genorously.

Me recibieron en el restaurante con un personal muy amable y me dieron la opción de mesas para mí y mi marido, cuando miramos el menú había una gran variedad de platos que la camarera que podría haber en nuestra fuerza preferida. La comida llegó rápidamente, aunque el restaurante estaba lleno y el personal siempre nos aseguramos la comida estaba bien y teníamos un flujo regular de bebidas. Buen restaurante y se lo recomendaría a todo el mundo!

Hemos usado este restaurante en muchas ocasiones tanto para comer y para llevar. Esta vez decidimos tomar, pero la comida no estaba a su nivel habitual. La mía estaba más caliente que de costumbre y era aguachento en vez de lo normal rambutans textura, creo que podrían haber olvidado las lentejas. Los papadoms probado rancios y no muy crujiente. Para empeorar las cosas por las primeras horas estaba alcanzando por las Rennies . El resto de la comida estaba bien, pero no tan especiales como que estábamos acostumbrados desde Ottringham. Espero que esto era sólo un punto.

Visitamos un sábado por la noche después de haber oído comentarios favorables de amigos, pensamos que hay que coger el coche y probar este restaurante. en coche hasta cruzar de Hull, y recibió un amable camarero abajo para tomar un aperitivo. lugar era arriba ajetreado, siempre es una buena señal. Rápidamente nos ofreció una bandeja de pickle con popadums crujientes mientras nos levantase el menú, sin embargo nos sorprendió el hecho de que no había servilletas en la mesa y no trajo con la bandeja. principales ordenados que estaban bien, aunque sin duda nada especial. La cerveza embotellada solicitado más que llegamos sin una copa y aunque la camarera recomienda una era seguir requería una segunda productos y 15 minutos de espera.

Hemos venido aquí unos cuantos meses ahora y he encontrado que aunque la comida en general sigue siendo el mismo, la calidad del servicio ha ido cada vez. Mientras que el dueño es un poco más alerta, el personal joven pasear sin ningún propósito buscando por todas partes, pero en los clientes o las mesas. probablemente es más rápido para permitir su comida fría para ir abajo y van a comprar una bebida.

Lovely meal on a very busy night. Child friendly and nice atmosphere. Good food and enjoyable night had by all in our party who's ages ranged from one year old upwards.
