Zapato Lounge in Northampton

Like all lounges very similar but good.

The food came quickly but the food was over cooked and dry, for what it was it wasn't as good as I thought, and the kids cheeseburger came without cheese and the burger was really dry and cold

I was visiting Northampton for a work event. The food here was very good. I had burritos and they were delicious. The place was relatively empty as it was a Thursday evening but the staff were attentive and super friendly.

Place looks awesome, great atmosphere too. And I had probably the tastiest burger I have ever had. The burger hits all the right notes: two juicy smashed patties topped with tender, spicy brisket and melty American cheese. The fresh lettuce, punchy jalapeños, and tangy pickled red onions add great texture and flavor. But the star? That smoky chipotle mayo and the spicy birria gravy for dipping – pure genius! Each bite is a fantastic mix of savory, spicy, and rich. Definitely a must-try!

Love the atmosphere and the food is all delicious! Staff were wonderful and polite. Very nice place to go out with friends or family and get some lovely food ❤️ Will 100% come back again soon

I've been here multiple times. One of my favourite places to eat. Refreshing to find somewhere with a vegan venue with more (substantially more) than two or three vegan options. And all of those options are good, too. I have been here with non-vegan friends too and am reliably informed that the non-vegan stuff is great too. The staff are also friendly and helpful and there is a charity event at christmas time where the restaurant is a donation point for presents for children who would otherwise not receive them. As I have said, I've been here lots of times, and never once has I been disappointed.

We normally enjoy a coffee or a drink in the “lounge” chain of café bars. But this was the worst example we have ever visited. We were ignored by staff, most of the tables were covered in dirty crockery. There was a loud noise from the extraction pipe. We gave in and decided to go somewhere else.

You can always depend on Zapato lounge for a top quality brunch if you're out in Northampton town. The food is always good, the service is prompt and the people polite. Haven't had a bad experience here over many visits.

Really nice place to go if you want a healthy (or unhealthy☺️) lunch. Good menu, quick service, tasty food. A little on the expensive side but well worth it.

Went for a nice lunch with my wife and friend had a great catch up. We had a nice food me and my wife had burgers with a side of mac and cheese.

Not had a good experience with food there. White bread was brown then after being told no white bread another came over and changed it. My eggs benadict wasn't very nice either . Left some. Hollandaise sauce very yellow like out of a bottle. White yolks one was slimes White. So didn't enjoy it

Very pleasant gentle early morning breakfast

Ordered food via app so service was just - food delivered to table. We ordered a sausage butty which was left under heat lamp do bread was dry and there wasn’t even any butter on said bread. Sandwich was left and the waitress never even commented when she collected the plates - poor. Will not be returning!!

These "Lounge" branded restaurants have never failed to impress me and this is the fifth one that I've visited. Quirky decorations, friendly staff, great food.

Fantastic venue, I visit regularly and consistently have good meal and experience. The menu is quite alternative but exciting and differs from the usual pub grub, staff always seem happy to be there, the place is clean and littered with interesting pictures/art decor. Worth a visit!

Cozy, tasty food, reasonable prices. Slightly strange that you just order from your phone and you barely interact with staff, but otherwise a nice place with good value daily deals.

A truly fantastic place with wonderful staff. My niece took us to Zapato lounge whilst we were visiting Northampton. Unfortunately, whilst there I had the worst ever flare up of osteo arthritis in my knee, and found myself unable to stand or move for pain. We ended up being in there for 5 hours, whilst I was being dosed up with painkillers and ibuprofen and the staff were continuously bringing me ice for my knee and offering coffee on the house. A couple of the lads there also offered to support me so I could get to the car. I honestly can't thank them all enough. They are all stars!

Have always loved this venue (and many others in Buckingham, Hitchin …) and have nipped out often from work with colleagues for a welcome coffee or lunch. The mugs of coffee have always been something that I valued and for me reflected the generous, welcoming and non-corporate atmosphere of ‘The Lounges’. Something that set them apart. I was surprised when these were recently replaced by large cups and then last week, were again replaced by even smaller quite tiny cups. I have to say that this rapid attempt to apparently save money caused real disappoint and has shaken my view of your company and its ethos. In reality it is likely that I will forgo my coffee and continue to buy the wonderful food you offer - it just makes me sad that the excitement and the feeling that I am in a home away from home has gone out of my experience. Please reconsider - it might be worth doing a straw poll of your customers to check I’m not the only one who feels this loss.

Fantastic setting , food lovely.. highly recommend the buttermilk chicken breast! Emily had taken care of all requirements and needs.. fun, friendly and extremely efficient… we will be back again for sure.

I went there with a colleague at lunchtime. Interesting menu with calories. Cappuccino was nice. Flatbread with Persian lamb has a grand name but was rather disappointing and served cold. My colleague ordered a burger and said it was tasty. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Tasty food, caters to all tastes and great for allergy safety.

We were here on a Tuesday around 16.30. There were hardly any guests yet. We made use of the Tuesday tapas offer including a drink. The tapas were really tasty and the value for money was good. You have to order by QR or at the bar which was clearly explained at arrival but still a little strange considering there were hardly any customers and staff with nothing much to do. Staff was friendly though and checked very well on food allergies. We had a table nearby the toilet and it was a bit chilly there. We weren't sure where the cold was coming from though. The restaurant is nicely decorated.

Very cozy atmosphere. You can order & pay directly from your phone. Then the waiters serve you your food. The menu was interesting. The food was tasty. I would recommend it.

Great experience! I enjoy my visit every time I come and it is regularly. Friendly helpful and knowledgable staff. Really great managing allergies and intolerances! Great choices of foods and drinks! Great night out! I usually order a Gluten and Dairy free steak without a lot of the standard swapped or left off to make if alright for me. The staff are always incredible helpful, kind and patient. It's so nice to be able to go out and know I'm going to be okay. so far I've had no reactions. Which as a coeliac is a win! I really recommend cooking for a meal or even a drink. The atmosphere is awesome and the quirky vibe is comfortable and fun. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time eating here and wasn't disappointed. I didn't realise how big the place was inside. Great buzzing atmosphere (loud enough to drown out our kids which is always a bonus!). Staff friendly. Lots if great choices on menu. I had the feta abd beetroot flatbread and it was delicious!

We had a great evening at Zapata on Tuesday. Excellent food and the service was outstanding special mention for Harry. I have eaten here and other branches but forgotten what a great place the lounges are. Easy relaxing good value and good staff

Cold food, watery cocktails and terrible service by young girl with extreme eye liner

I had a really good time at this place. The service was on point, the food was tasty, and the prices were decent. I got the avocado brunch and an Americano, and it all came to £12. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which is a nice bonus. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back!

Had the tapas and a diet coke and carrot cake whilst my friend also had tapas,the IPA bitter and something resembling a knickerbocker glory 😤

The food was lovely, as well as the staff. Made me and my mum feel so welcome, enjoyed every minute of it x

Had gone up to northhampton to go to Silverstone, and whilst there decided to eat at Valero on our first night staying in the area, we were greeted by a smiling and friendly Natalia who was amazing, so lovely in fact we decided to return to eat our second night where Natalia gifted me and my partner a cocktail which was delicious! The rest of the staff were incredible too, very attentive and quick service with very tasty food! All in all I highly recommend this venue for good value, lovely food, and friendly staff:)

I love the fact that you just scan a QR code to order. It is that easy. Or you can go to bar to order the food if you want to pay with cash. Inside looks really really good. Definitely will revisit soon.

I found this place quite good and reasonably priced. Lounges like this can often be expensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. I went with my partner and a few friends, and not only did they accommodate my friends' many dietary requirements, but the quality of the food was also impressive. While it wasn’t cheap, I still felt it offered good value compared to other places. I’d definitely visit again. We ordered tapas, a curry dish, and a couple of iced lattes. Initially, we thought the drinks were a bit pricey, but they turned out to be large, justifying the cost. It was pretty quiet when we went, around 4 p.m. on a Monday, so I can't comment on how the service or quality holds up during busy times. However, overall, it was a pleasant experience. We stayed until 7 p.m., and I’d recommend it.

me and my friends went to zapato for some drinks, decided to order some tapas, food was excellent we were served by a a lovley girl who was very chatty. Recommended

What a total let down! After being recommended by my sister and autistic son that the food was banging I decides to treat my son again... Ordered 2 milkshakes... was just thin milk with cream on top with a chocolate/ caramel sauce.. I ordered the chicken breast that was rubbery and a handful of chips, the slaw was proper rank! My sons pancakes came out cold but the saug and hash brown were hot so eat that and after stating to the server they were cold,he was made another but by then we had lost our appetite and didn't even finish half the food.. We was offered a free afters but we left as soon as we could. Do not recommend.

Excellent place in a historic building variety good atmosphere

We have eaten at lots of these restaurants however the staff at Zapato went above and beyond. My mum has dietary requirements and allergies and this was handled with the upmost care and attention. They made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and the food was great and very well priced. The person that served us was charismatic and attentive! i'm only sorry we didn't get his name! ( he has tattoos if that helps! ) Thank you!

Popped in today for a quick brunch while in the town centre with my missus, and I must say what a great experience it was. Great customer service and excellent food at a reasonable price. We shall definitely be back.

Have always loved coming to Zapato lounge, popped in for lunch today and the service was fantastic as usual. Food is always delicious, and the cocktails are great too- definitely my favourite place in Northampton.

Went here today with some friends for a catch up. Everything on the menu looks amazing but ended up going for the double chocolate Oreo milkshake. It tastes incredible but the staff were so lovely! Will definitely be coming back :)

I visited with my family and grandchildren - the Lounges are very popular with them because the vegetarian/vegan menu is so good. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his English breakfast, but I was slightly disappointed with my avocado brunch which seems to be getting smaller. Luckily we'd ordered several sides of chips! I also shared my daughter in law's aubergine hummus flatbread which I think I'll have at some point. The grandchildren enjoyed their meals as well as the games and craft table

Great place for food and drinks. Lovely building and atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. Accessible toilets downstairs with a baby changing area. Cocktails were great! And they have a book sharing area and games to play.

Visited Zapato Lounge for our Wedding Meal yesterday. The Food and Service was fantastic and all the staff were very accommodating with any requests we had. Would highly recommend.

A very nice place in the center of the city, varied food with good presentation and attention. I like it, I always go, I recommend it.

We went on a Sunday afternoon, the menu has much to choose from and caters for all foodie types. I had a garlic chicken burger which was lovely. Price wise, like any other places, fair. Good atmosphere with an oldie worldy type feel. Overall, a good meal with great company.

already a huge fan of the lounge’s, figured we’d have to try this branch since we’re new to the area. as usual, they did not disappoint!! love the fact that you not only order online but can pay that way too, makes things a lot more time efficient and a lot more accessible for people with social anxiety as i find the ordering part of eating at any restaurant unbearable. the food is always 10/10, staff are always super friendly and Zapato is no exception! Not to mention the interior and decoration, as well as the general atmosphere and comfortable low lighting makes the dining experience so much more unique. Low lighting is also very autism friendly. Superb selection of veggie and vegan options too!

My daughter wanted Churros. The only place I know that serves them is this place so thought we would make an afternoon of it. I ordered 3 vegan tapas and her the Churros. Together. I ordered from the table but had to go to the counter anyway because the process didn't update before ordering. The drinks came swiftly and were welcome. They delivered my tapas first, mostly cold except the potato dishes which were obviously straight out the fryer. I sent the cold burnt cauliflower back. I assumed they nuked it and sent it back. It was better. The Churros came after I had finished despite asking for it to come together. We were offered a soft drink to make up for the mish mash service. We declined. We don't drink soft drinks. Plus the experience of eating out is rarely rectified by having another drink when you're already hacked off with waiting to eat, you've already overpayed via the online service and the food was halfway ok. The waiting staff were kind but sadly the food and delivery of food was a bit pants. Overall, disappointing.

Love Zapato lounge! Food is always so good and the service was really good too. Went on a Friday night and was very quiet on this occasion. Usually, it's thriving, but we put it down to it being a really hot day, and everyone was probably in beer gardens or having bbq's at home!

Atmosphere is to me, about the customers as much as the venue. I had a lovely experience as the combination of both was excellent. Background ambiance just right. Not very disabled friendly from what I could see and I do look but it's an old, historic building so it's understandable. The food was lovely. We had breakfast and it made a great change from the usual high street offerings. Service and options were on point. Price for what we had and the expensive was more than reasonable.
