Had afternoon tea here for a birthday treat with friends. It is a proper little tea room set I a beautiful building and garden. We had lovely food. Staff were friendly but, I was asked to pay halfway through the tea, which I found annoying as it was unnecessary and embarrassed my friend whose birthday we were celebrating.

Absolutely fabulous lunch. I had prawn and smoked salmon salad, delicious. But the icing on the cake was the best coffee I have had to date, which was a dirty chai latte with the cake deal courgette and avocado yum. I’m usually just an Americano girl (black) no milk please! Prices very reasonable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Cafe clean. Books dotted around to read about Northampton years ago, where I found George’s years ago was a hotel. Going back today Monday 19/08/2024 to treat myself to another dirty chai latte. Thank you.

Cute, cosy and warm atmosphere, and super friendly staff. Great vegan options. I had a caramel oat late and they even boiled an egg for Casper, my dog. Yes, they are also dog friendly! The garden is beautiful and has a real peaceful vibe to it. I can't wait for sunnier days to enjoy the garden area again. Ticked all the boxes. Place is clean and tidy too. They really do go out their way for their customers!

Lovely little place. I have been in a couple of times, for a cuppa and for lunch without any problem but another time my friend and I went for lunch and there was no one about to serve us. Rang the bell which I found on the counter to no avail. We went elsewhere. Then again went for a cuppa and the same again, only saved this time by someone coming in who went through to the back and told them. They don't seem very bothered about it

Beautiful little hidden gem in Northampton. Seating here felt like we were somewhere in Italy. It was so quiet and peaceful. The coffee and cake was excellent. We were quite surprised to find this beautiful place so empty. If you're looking for a nice place to have a peaceful chat, this is perfect. The staff were kind and helpful. Always a great place to go when I am visiting in Northampton. Great atmosphere, great service, set in an oldy world setting, lovely fresh cooked food . My third visit we stayed for 2 hours. I first visited here with a friend who is a member of the Town and County club. I expected it to be all airs and Grace's but it isn't. It is a very ordinary cafe, with very average food, priced reasonably. What really makes the difference here is the garden. Sat in here you would never know you were in the heart of the town. It is quiet, beautiful, secluded and a sun trap. I would highly recommend here on a nice sunny day. So much so that I went again a few days later with family.

Poor. Called in on a Saturday afternoon for tea. Was told that the reason that there was no milk was that "we've been rushed off our feet". Three other tables being used in the cafe; and the two diners that there had been in the dining room told me that they weer the only ones for lunch. If that is rushed off your feet, you ought not to be running a cafe. No glasses ("Oh, we've been *so* busy !"). Oh well - we've tried it once - we'll know better for another time. Just across the road is the cafe in All Saints church.

Used to be great, and whilst the food is still very good, the service has dropped below par, with questions about what's available to eat seeming to cause unnecessary issues ; plus, the man who appears to run the private members club, next door, walks around the Café with a constant sneer and like there's a smell under his nose... if he thinks he's so superior, he should stick to hanging around the club, rather than putting people off their tea/coffee and meals!

The lemon drizzle is a personal favourite, it was delicious & the others on offer looked seriously good too! A friendly & attentive lady made us feel really welcome, she engaged with all the customers making it feel quite different to other establishments. It’s hidden away but just a few steps off the George Row pavement, through a hallway brings you into a quiet garden which is where you find the entrance George’s. As you enter Georges through the door on George Row you walk through the property into the lovely courtyard garden which would be great to sit out in on a summers day. comfortable and spacious place which has not only the front tables but a very nice lounge style seating area down some steps. I have been two Saturdays in succession. a pot of tea and something to eat. Quality was good, nice tea cups. pleasant easy listening live music the second time and an excellent resident portrait artist to watch. Only downside is having to give orders at the counter rather than to the waitress. I am curious to visit for dinner to try their themed evenings which were fully booked. This is my 2nd visit to the daily grind first experience was ok just lacking the welcoming . So I decided to give them another go . I asked for a menu and they showed me the board but being short sighted I forgot my glasses . So they gave me a menu . After a little hassle found out it was an old menu not a the new one it did get sorted as I think the young lad whom sorted was the manager and gave me 10% off which was lovley of him . I know it's hard getting staff up to speed on a new set menu . Only suggestion I can make is make a little menu for bagels and toastie etc . Other than that second time was a good experience . The food is excellent and it has a cosy atmosphere to the place . Also had a yamyam delivery of these guys 4 stars again . Little room for improvement that's all
