Had a great selection of drinks and some fun pizza flavours, the pizzas and sides were delicious. Would come here for pizzas over a chain pizza place from now on.

What a shame!!! such a nice, clean, calm, quiet pub with THE WORST staffs especially the guy… WORST customer experience…. WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Went Friday night with some friends after work for drinks. Great drinks great atmosphere and very friendly service. Very cosy place and great fire place. Good times.

It's absolutely amazing. We had the Monday pizza deal, and we were astonished at how good they were. We shared 2 pizzas and a side between 3 of us and loved every bite. The drinks were amazing, and cocktails were very well made and presented, too. The atmosphere was cosy and warm, and the log burner made us feel really comfy. I'm definitely returning!

What’s nice when you go to a pub? For me, a good environment, a safe place to take the family without concerns for rude or drunk patrons and great food and service. I’ve been coming to the Princess Alexandra for over a year now on an ad hoc basis and the welcome is always sincere and personal like I’m an old friend. All the staff and management are excellent and has a cosy friendly atmosphere. The clientele also always seem happy and friendly and the food has always been delicious and well presented. All in all a great pub for whatever the occasion.

This is our local and what a charming pub it is. Lovely warm fire, amazing selection of beers (including gluten free !) and wonderful staff. Payrise for Elise who is always a delight. Cosy, fun and dog friendly. Great food for a reasonable price and gluten free options available - as a coeliac this is such a treat. Support local !!!

Dropped in for a quick bite to eat, staff were amazing and very knowledgeable about their beers which my partner was interested in. Food was lovely, would definitely recommend trying their pizzas they were delicious. Will be back again soon

What's not to like!. As outsiders we were welcomed with open arms. So much so we then enrolled in the Pub quiz and made welcome, promptly seated in the reserved space. The real ales on tap were really well kept and extremely good👍 . We sampled a small lite bite which was superb and very large portion. 5 star rating a lovely vibe interesting decor, clean industrial them , but also somehow cosy snug, with soft furnishings for a relaxing area. 5 star Review well deserved from the poor scoring "Kantakorous old Gits quiz team"

Great food and service. Went to watch the football but lose 1 star for no sound. Also poor choice of wine.

I always have a warm and friendly welcome when I come here. The staff have a good knowledge of the wide selection of drinks on offer. And the pizzas are amazing! I'm proud to call this my local and always inviting friend's to come along to try this little gem in town!

It was a tap takeover so the range of craft beers was extensive. Bustling neighborhood pub with a clientele more like a Leamington bar.

First time visiting on Monday, brilliant beer, great pizzas (and amazing value with 2 for 1 on Mondays) and good atmosphere, busiest place in the vicinity for a Monday. Will definitely be back.

Cracking pub great selection of beer and a really nice decor. Outdoor area and another level upstairs. It's split into different sections which for me makes it a better environment for groups. Nice wood burner in the back room. Dogs welcome as well I believe. It was a bit quiet when I went only 3 in but it was a Wednesday at 5pm, and I didn't try the food

Haven't had anything to eat here yet, but have been a cou9le of times now for a gorgeous pint or two Service is friendly and the interior is very smart and there is a great feel and atmosphere to the space. The ouriside space is a lovely little addition and a treat on a hot sunny day. The perfect place to get some sun and an ice cold pint.

Just popped in , spur at the moment kinda thing. Really nice place , quiet , chilled and welcoming. Opted for a pizza which also was very good . Definitely go back

Wonderful pub with friendly staff and an excellent relaxed feel. Craft beers available but not one of those trendy, snobby beardy places. And the food (especially pizza) is so good! One of those places that you almost don’t want to review as you don’t want it to get too busy - but these people are doing so much that is good that they deserve lots of custom. We’d be here every night if we lived in Northampton!

I have been coming to the Princess Alexandra craft beer bar in Northampton for a number of years, and it quickly became one of my favorite spots. This place is excellent for craft beer enthusiasts, offering an impressive variety of beers, ales, ciders, and wines. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you find the perfect drink. The bar has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals. It's a place where you can strike up conversations with others or come with friends. They often have live entertainment and their suntrap garden is a lovely spot to relax with your beverage of choice. In terms of food, delicious pizzas... From classic flavors to more adventurous combinations. They're dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry companion along too.

Great place for bar food and craft beers (also serving cocktails but we didn’t have any). We had pizza, meatballs, cheesy fries and jalapeño poppers, all of which were tasty and reasonably priced. The pizza came to the table barely warm but it was a busy night as rugby was on so we didn’t complain or send it back. Friendly and helpful staff and cool decor. Would defintely go back

A great selection of quality beers whether you're after craft, real ale or lager. The pizzas are fantastically tasty, and you'll get a deal with drinks (including wine) thrown in. A lovely warm and cosy ambience, (and outdoor bit for Summer) very friendly staff and there's a dog station so your mutt gets spoilt too.

Very cool and comfy interior, especially when the log burner is on and the misery of the weather outside has you wanting to hide under a 200 TOG blanket. Great beer selection and the quality of the stuff out the tap is always great. THE PIZZA. Go eat one. I go there just for one alone. Has a small intimate courtyard which is fun on a night out. A while ago they did even more mental (and expensive) one of a kind brews like Rogue. If they got them back in, I would have added the final star. (But thats just me).

Popped in for an hour whilst awaiting the Diwali parade. Decent beers on draught and in bottles, tasty bar snacks, friendly staff and a pleasant ambience. I reckon we'll be back.

This is a brilliant venue. Great beer and entertainment. Great staff too. Dylan is genuinely a credit to the establishment, he should be on ‘the apprentice.’ Rachel however far outshines him and is the star of the show. Give her a pay rise!

3 ciders and 2 beers on draft, ok but could try harder , I was the only customer on a Saturday lunchtime.

Visited twice, the staff are awesome and super welcoming. The food was amazing, we tried pizzas and their bites 3 for 12 on a Wednesday and each dish was great. We got calamari, duck bonbons and halloumi fries. Will definitely be visiting again!

If you’ve a passion for craft ale this is the sort of place you want to stumble upon. In Northampton for work I was keen to give the Princess Alexandra a try, and found myself spoilt for choice. A couple of IPAs were soaked up by three small plates - crab cakes, mozzarella sticks and chilli -infused meatballs. All tasty. Proper ale pub. Look forward to a second visit.

To be fair there is a beer, lager or cider here for everybody. The food is great too. And like every pub/restaurant, it's the people that make the place and the people here - both staff and fellow customers - are great! Love it!

Nice back street corner pub close to town centre. Sign says ale and craft beers, but on my visit no ales on despite having four hand pumps. Craft ales are mainly from big brewers with a minority of indies on the keg lines. Fridge looked to have a good selection of canned and bottled beers.

Small cosy pub, nice decor, great atmosphere and good beers. Check beer prices before ordering though. We paid £6.25 a pint for draught bitter which seemed over the odds for a Northampton backstreet pub. The beer was nice but the price left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth !

Been meaning to visit for a while. Booked in for a food on a Friday night. Was a bit rowdy with locals in the bar on arrival but that soon cleared and live music started at 8. Pizzas were great as was service. Would visit again but perhaps not sit in the noisy bar area.

Nice atmosphere and a good selection of unusual beers on tap that you probably won't find anywhere else in town. The bar staff are especially pleasant and helpful.
