The Platform Cafe in Northampton

Sorry, if you have good mood and you want to continue your evening, please don’t go to this club. The big boss on entrance will not you slowed to enter inside, just because he doesn’t like. And it doesn’t matter if you just a little drunk and in good mood it is depends the boss is like you or not. And if one of your family doesn’t look ok the boss will not allow all of you enter inside!

The security guy .. he just came and shouted to one of my friend ..because he was wearing a hat.. like.. instead of saying nicely .. the club is very nice, but that security guy.. shame.. you don’t treat people like that !

Ironically for The Platform - they need to raise their game! I came here for a work Christmas party in December 2019 and it wasn't an amazing experience. The best beer they have is Budweiser. Yeah, it's that bad. There are no taps and not an ale in sight. With two breweries within walking distance (Phipps NBC & Maule) there's little excuse to have such a poor offering. Food-wise, it was hardly better. They did at least have some vegan options but everything was cold and kind of bland. There were some dressed noodles that were okish. Oh, and the potato wedges came and late and undercooked. Yikes. Overall, you can do better than this place in the town centre. It's certainly spacious if that's your main criterion.

Very quiet place tucked away from view. Food was good and staff very friendly. Had a Groupon deal panini and drink for 2for £7 well worth it

We enjoyed a friendly welcome at lunchtime and were also treated to a 'guided tour' of the rest of the building, comprising theatres and dance floors and performance spaces. What a gem of a place, so well converted from the old buildings that once stood here. We each ordered a pie with mash and peas. Served hot and with unusual black cutlery. The pastry on both pies was rather hard but everything else was perfect - real mash too!

The platform cafe is a lovely little cafe in Northampton town centre. It is a very quiet cafe however, it has lovely food and a good selection of drinks. The staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful and I can say I will be going back for lunch again as the prices are reasonable and I had a good experience.

Can’t fault the food but the overall service and experience was poor. There was no music/radio on and the only think I could hear was the sound of ‘13 reasons why’ which the waitress was watching on a laptop in the middle of the cafe!!! Not what you want when you’re trying to enjoy your lunch. She also looked like she’d rather be elsewhere.

Have a coffee or play a game. Find this place and hang out. Food fine and reasonably priced. This place could be fantastic if you guys just find it. A place gifted to you ….but ignored. Go have a coffee here.....or even a mango smoothie.

The cafe is a really nice environment for a quiet business meeting. There are power outlets available, free WiFi and indoor/outdoor seating areas. They do a really good mocha in comparison with other local coffees in town (chains included).

I really liked my experience at the cafe having used it for an event last week - the general manager was really helpful and the food at the cafe was affordable.

The good place for party 🎉 particularly students, lot of events during every week. Even it is Monday but quite crowded with "Milk it Monday". The price of drinks around 5 pounds. There is a smoking area outside and at the rooftop as well.

Visited here a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. Refreshing to find somewhere like this where the food and drinks are decent but the bill doesn't break the bank. I'll be going back again for sure and have a feeling it will become my new regular place to go. Highly recommend!

Beautiful cafe located in the heart of northampton, great selection of hot and cold drinks as well as food. Cannot wait to visit again!

A wonderful find in the centre of the town. The Platform has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. Very competitively priced food and drinks with excellent quality and attractively presented. They also offer meal deals which make the prices even more reasonable. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you for a lovely visit- we will be back!

Visited with friends for a coffee and cake. Beautiful cafe with a relaxed feel and friendly staff. Reasonably priced and offered vegan options also. It's set back from the road but definitely worth a visit for a quiet coffe

Popped in mid shop with my boyfriend, such a cute little cafe and to die for white hot chocolate with mountains of cream - I meant to take a photo but drank it too fast!! Lovely friendly staff and they actually seemed to want to be there - rare to find these days! Will definitely be visiting again.

Tidy cafe, polite staff, I come here every Monday and Tuesday for a course and chill in the cafe on breaks. The food is fantastic, cookies are to die for! X free WiFi and comfy seating

Good venue. Drink prices kept changing. I liked the fact they have plastic bottles and plastic glasses. The large mirror ball messes with your head, making you feel odd.

Brilliant afternoon spent watching live bands perform, great atmosphere and friendly staff too.
