Staff friendly karaoke was great hope to have more karaoke In the new year

Sadly visited on an off day. Had pre ordered as was with a work party. All three of my choices were out of stock so re-chose only for my original starter to be brought out and offered out to everyone as my replacement choice came. So was very disappointed. Then my replacement main course of the oomph taco came with just lettuce in. No oomph pieces or cheese. I had originally been told that the panini option wasnt available but others on the table had paninis so i think this was a further comms issue with staff and kitchen. I think resources with staffing were tight which I do understand can happen. Pudding of Guinness brownie was lovely though. Staff did kindly reduce my bill accordingly.

Another fab, family meal. This place is a real favourite with all of us. Food is really fresh, service is fantastic and all the staff are so friendly.

What a great place, incredibly spacious and has a fantastic layout, the staff were incredibly friendly and helped us to select a brilliant meal. We had the fish and chips that was really light and well battered and cooked even better. Prices incredibly reasonable, will definitely be back to watch the football with great screens all round!

Large pub, but we visited on a Saturday afternoon, and the football was on very loud. Managed to find a quiet table, and stayed for a few hours. Gents toilets didn't have a working hand dryer.

Really great atmosphere, large tv's for the football, always have society socials here and it's a great space for it.

This is a sports bar which is not my kind of place but the food is always great, reasonably priced and delicious! It is all cooked fresh and arrives fairly quickly. If you have tickets for the theatre you also get a 20% discount when you show your tickets. The seating is comfortable and it's a nice place to be able to chat but there are also several pool tables available and the toilets are well kept.

Place is absolutely brilliant, love to come here with my friends. Archie is a great bartender and always gives good service, food is great also. Would recommend

Place had such a warm atmosphere to be in, quiet yet nice, pool was also fun to play with friends, lots of fun and decent prices for drinks. Two people named Liam and Archie were welcoming when placing drinks and made sure to keep us welcomed

It was a Friday afternoon and the place was not that busy. It was surprising, because at that time it's quiet difficult to find a table in pubs. Why there were just a few people? I don't know much about the pub and club scene in Northampton, I was there for the first time. Anyway, I wanted to take a beer and something to eat, and that was a good choice. The staff was friendly and the place was very nice to have a fun time.

The atmosphere is amazing. With tunes blasting for the weekend vibes and multiple tvs to watch sports this is the place to be. And the pool table is the cherry on top of the cake. All the staff were very helpful, especially Liam, who gave recommendations for the different drinks on offer to help me decode on something that was perfect. I will be coming again and recommending to others.

We had an amazing night here after work. Archie and Liam were very helpful. Would recommend.

We visited today and ordered food which took ages to il arrive and it was cold so I made a staff member aware who was very apologetic and assured me I would receiveva replacement. In the meantime there was an unpleasant odour coming from my partners plate upon closer inspection it was coming from the ham. I spoke to a male staff member and he said he would go upstairs and check but at the same time dismissed our comments he didn't come back to us. My food arrived and the fries had been replaced but the burger was stone cold. We had had enough and left still fhungry.

Had a wonderful night here - food was nice and the staff were super helpful and friendly. Archie Taylor was really sweet, let me know all about the deals going and Chloe Hatch was nice too.

I really liked that the Optimist is quite spacious. Enjoyed the ambience and the meal and that it’s smack in the middle of Northampton so quite easy to get to!

Great spot to hang sheltered from the blistering heat. Bernard was a great host and the rest of the staff were super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend
