Cafe Creperie in Northampton

Cosy little creperie in central Northampton. The service was fast and the food was nice too. A little disappointed with the cheesecake but overall a great place.

This café has really changed since my last visit several years ago: the baked potatoes have been replaced by crepes. I ordered a bacon and avocado crepe, which also came with spinach and cherry tomatoes and a copious amount of cheese, together with a smidgin of cooked egg. It was truly enormous and sufficient to be my main meal of the day. Nicely cooked: the melted cheese was lovely, the bacon was crispy and the spinach just wilted. If I was being very picky I could ask for a riper avocado (it was almost crunchy), and the crepe could have been cooked slightly longer but seriously, it was very tasty - as was my dark hot chocolate! I'm very glad I skipped the cream and marshmallows.

Been waiting an hour for our food. When it came it was good

First time here and will defo go again! Had the Brie,bacon and cranberry toastie, apple juice and some hot water for my baby’s milk. First server was straight to the point. Not rude but not friendly. Other sever (younger lady) much nicer. Food was delicious, worth the money and nice atmosphere. Only thing I’d pick on is the ladies were clearing tables, cooking, making drinks/serving and handling transactions including cash without changing gloves in between. Either change gloves between tasks or wear no gloves and wash hands. I’m hoping this is something they can easily change to improve! My baby starting fussing and I felt I needed to leave as it’s such an enclosed space. But that’s nothing to do with the buisness itself. It was quite cosy and welcoming in fact. Next time I go I will be exploring something new on the menu

Great breakfast with a delicious green smoothie. We had Nutella Banana Crepes which was delicious as well. One of my favourite coffee places. Highly recommend.

This restaurant looks ordinary from the outside, but once you try their food, you have a different perspective. So delicious.

Well, we used to come very often to this lovely cafe. We revisited recently and what happened to this place? Slow service, cleanliness gone downhill, they changed ingredients for cheaper ones... Used to be our favourite go to for breakfast and crepes but I don't think we'll be going back anymore. Even the menu cards were dirty.

I tried different pancakes in this cafe - they were all incredibly tasty. The portions are quite large, so you definitely won't leave hungry. Don’t believe the hype. This place turns customers away at 4pm even though it clearly states 5pm on their signs, Praca cafe, Grand cafe independent Portuguese and Italian open , Praca till late, had brilliant coffees in here at 9pm!! (Draft beers also available)

I've had really good expierience with food there few years ago, lovely food every time, amazing apple cake with ice cream. Lately a lot changed sadly, there's other people managing this place I think, the atmosphere is still ok, ladies are nice, it's good service, but the food not so much anymore, the famous crepes we're better before, but the most amazing was apple cake they used to make, the one they do now is a tart, a really small portion, flat , barely any apples , quality of coffee changed too, and today I ordered avocado on toast, I was surprised on how bad it was,( tons of salt and possibly lemon juice, I'm not too sure), I didn't make a big problem out of that, the lady was really nice, she gave me a cheese toast instead which I asked for, no problem. I'm writing this review just to show my experience and for the cook to maybe look into the recipes, I'm no expert on food, but I do cook myself and I ate in this place several times and I am really sad that the food had changed so much. I will visit the place again, but they should definetly do something about the food, and one more very important thing, a level of cleanliness is questionable, the places around tables where people eat could use more attention ❤️

i had a delicious chicken crepe during my stay at the cafe. i experienced superb service from one of the young waitresses, olivia. would definitely recommend treating yourself to lunch out at cafe creperie.

Food took about 40 mins to get here (breakfast). Was cold on arrival and waitress gave us wrong order first time around. Manager needs to invest in one more member of staff. It’s unfair on the two ladies.

We visited Cafe Creperie today for the first time. The crepes were amazing!!! I had a Cherry and ice cream crepe. It was delicious. My partner and daughter had crepes with Nutella and banana and Nutella and marshmallows, both equally delicious. The girls who served us were all friendly and smiley. Great little place.

Such a fabulous little place in Northampton that serves delicious crepes. We shared couple of savoury and sweet crepes between us and the Italian crepe was my daughter’s and mine favorite and husband loved the apple crumble. Daughter loved the Nutella marshmallow crepe too! We had also ordered their English breakfast crepe, but we weren’t able to eat the whole thing. We had requested for the egg to be well-done and no runny yoke, but it was quite a runny yoke egg that was given to us in the middle of the crepe. But it was okay since we just ate around it 😀 and it was yum! Their Nutella latte is awesome too! Daughter had Oreo milkshake and she loved it! Do try this creperie when you are in Northampton the next time!

After hearing mixed reviews, we finally decided to give this breakfast place a chance, and we're so glad we did! The food exceeded our expectations. I thoroughly enjoyed the smashed avocado breakfast. My partner opted for the XXL English breakfast and he really liked it too. We couldn't resist trying the crepe with banana and Nutella so we took one as a dessert - it was absolutely delicious. We had to wait a bit for the food but the place was busy - most of the tables were full. Friendly service and delightful food. We will come back for sure!

If you want a Karen cafe experience , this is the place for you. This place used to be good, I used to come here often when it was the original owners. now its under new management, A couple months ago I had 1 hour and 30 mins spare before work so thought it would be a nice treat to pop in for brunch before starting work... waited approx 1 hour.. the place was not that busy, only 30% filled ... I kept checking my phone, I asked them how long will it take because I have to go to work its been almost a hour... the owner came out and had a go at me saying I should have told them I was in a rush!!!! I had 1.5 hour spare thats longer than the average persons lunch break.. any way, so after getting told off by the owner... the girl who brought my food said sorry but the experience put me off , will not be back.

Been here before and it’s always been good but today the team were very slow inattentive and didn’t seem to be bothered, using phone etc. it wasn’t busy and there were 3 staff. What a shame.

Breakfast was really REALLY good. Omelette was light and full of flavour. Smashed avacodo with poached eggs and butchers back bacon done to perfection. Coffee (Americano) strong, lots of flavour, and cream available (which is massive bonus). Definitely room only going forward in hotel, with a short walk here to enjoy breakfast again 😀

Me and my partner were visiting on a weekend away and decided to stop here for brunch before we headed home. The cafe seemed busy, but we took this as a sign that it was a good business. We ordered our food, one of the crepes and the full english with 2 teas. We waited 20 minutes before our teas were brought out. My partner ordered normal milk and soya milk due to an intolerance. Only one milk was brought out and when my partner went up to ask for the other milk, the waitress behind the till was very rude and abrupt. Thankfully another member of staff brought the alternative milk over to us. We then overheard there was another table that still had not had their food after 45 minutes of waiting. My crepe arrived cold but tasted relatively ok. A waitress took two plates of food out to one of the outdoor tables where the gentleman started eating. After about 5 minutes she went back outside and took the partly eaten plates off the table and brought them inside. What really disgusted us was that she then tried to serve it to the table who had been waiting nearly an hour for their food! Absolutely disgusting! They both left after the food being sent to the table. My partners food was then brought to our table which we sent back, just incase it was the same food that was partly eaten and tried to be re-served to us. Poorly run cafe with rude staff! We have already put a report in to the trading standards. We will never be returning!

My partner and I dropped in today for brunch. What a great place it is. Super friendly staff and our coffee and food was exceptional.

It's really nice place to hang out with friends and having amazing crepes, we was went today to have 5 Luna S crepes, milkshakes and we enjoyed it. Also about staff they're so friendly. Always satisfied.

Today i had eat egg Benedict and my Friend choose strawberry heaven, I really like the food quality if i compare with the price...it was really nice,,and the manegment quite Unique also stuffs really friendly,,. So recommended to enjoy the food.

Came here lots in the past but came into today but must be under new management because my experience was dreadful! Ordered the xxL and my girlfriend ordered the English breakfast food was freezing couldn’t eat it! Both our meals were stone cold! Asked for a refund only Had a few bites before complaining but was only given a partial refund and not a full refund what was very disappointing? Then we was left to sit next to plates of cold food and still hungry whilst we finished our drinks not even a sorry! Chef didn’t want to check the food! It was just left on my table next to me for 20mins! seems like it wasn’t a surprise either with the reaction of the staff members! Cold food cold atmosphere! Shame as this place used to be pukka

Wanted to have lunch there after theatre show with my husband and two kids. Two staffs there, one making crepes and not saying anything, one passed us a menu and didn’t say anything either, I asked whether there is a table for us to sit because we were planing to sit down and eat, she looked around and didn’t say a word back. At this point my 3years old wanted to use toilet so I asked whether there is a toilet we could use, she said there is one but for staff only, I then asked whether she can point any toilet nearby that we can go for, she said no. I guess I will never know how the food tastes like there, hope it’s better than her service.

The staff are very very friendly and the food is great. I had the jacket potato with chilli a couple of times and it was perfect. The size of the potato itself is much bigger than a nearby eatery and they actually use beef, not a vegan option. Definitely coming back! I think I'll try the breakfast next as it is highly rated.

Worst experience ever! Partner ordered the full English - was cold, bland and just unpleasant. My food arrived cold - so was sent back. The staff then forgot and all left to smoke outside. Only when getting up to complain did they realise they had forgotten to bring back my food. No apology offered. Honestly how this place has any positive reviews is beyond me.

This place used to be a gem in the town. Been coming here for more than 5 years. But the standard of the food and service has become quite pathetic. Welcomed with a dirty table, no one ready to give it a wipe, and then served with toasties that haven’t been inside a toaster. If you have to go to the counter to request tissues to wipe the table you’re sitting at yourself, you know the place isn’t worth it because the staff don’t give a damn. Recommend staying away unless you’re starving.

It's about your standards and what you want really, you want to get your stomach full, sure. But if you want comfy seats warmer air and food that is above average, not the place.

Not bad. Tea was very milky but still somewhere to go for a stop of point. I ask for Bacon well done no fat sandwich bacon still had fat on it no butter on toast but yet asked for bread lol but other then that was OK place still eat and drank the food.

Lovely and relaxing atmosphere, especially great for a meet-up with friends. The chicken crepe I ordered was a good portion size and cooked to perfection and came out pretty quickly (about 10 min). They also offer take-away.

I enjoyed my smashed avocado on a toasted ciabatta with bacon and 2 poached eggs & salad trimming. Only 2 front of house staff who were totally overworked and probably underpaid. They cooked, cleaned and waitered. Wouldn't want to work there, but the food was excellent.

Ordered food and drinks all horrid apart from the coffee!!! £8.00 for a cold jacket potato cheese forgotten!! you would of thought i had committed a murder when i told the waitress she did reheat it but it was still cold and unpleasant. I don't think the microwave was working or they had it on defrost!! Pancakes were awful too - dry !!! Had been told the food was lovely that's why we went but wont be going again!!

The lady who served us was nice and friendly and there is a good atmosphere in the cafe so no complaints there. I ordered the chocolate crepe and I found it to be quite dry, nothing special. I also had the Belgian hot chocolate, and while the drink itself wasn’t too bad, the cream did not taste good at all and more like it was past its use by date. Overall, service and atmosphere was nice but standard of food could have been better.

Visited with friends for breakfast and we were disappointed. Hot chocolate was the best thing we ordered. We felt the food itself was not worth the money. I had an omelette which was £7.30 but didn’t come with anything else! No side salad or toast. It’s pretty expensive for what it was. However a small breakfast of 6 items was cheaper at £5! Make it make sense ?! Eggs Benedict was mediocre with watery eggs - on soggy bread! Our original plan was to get a sweet crepe after breakfast but considering how we felt about breakfast we decided not to - we won’t be returning unfortunately.

I come here every Sunday with my wife for breakfast, Place is decorated nicely and well kept. Staff are lovely too. Enjoyed what I ordered (veggie breakfast). Breakfast was absolutely delicious ,Juice is freshly squeezed. Will be coming here again.

Ordered English Breakfast & Coffee . Coffee was great . Breakfast ingredients of good quality however poorly prepared and staff totally useless . Waited 20 mins for food which wasn't a problem ......in fact my naive preception was it was being prepared / cooked from scratch fresh . 2 fried eggs must have been in the pan for 10 minutes .....dry & rock hard . Sausages were warm ....not hot . Baked beans were cold .......seriously cold ......so took them back in asked politely to reheat them . The waitress brought them back out to me 15 munutes later ! Yes honestly 15minute later . Breakfast arrived in a trough like bowl ......so the butter pats for toast were nice and greasy laid underneath the sausages . It's a shame .....great location , quality ingredients but staff totally incompetent and USELESS . Looking at reviews possibly I was unlucky ?

We wiped our own table down when we sat down... then food took about 40mins... the waitress admitted the ticket had been lost. I understand these things can happen but nothing was done about it. The food came out eventually...most of it was overdone. Burnt bits on most of the items on my plate (I had the full english breakfast). My bf had avocado on toast... none of it was worth the wait. My bf abandoned his avocado and toast because he wasnt a fan...the avocado looked off but we were told this is due to it being blended with herbs. See the pics. Shame as this place has potential - we came because the menu offering looked good.

Awful service today and then received attitude from the owner. food was hardly even hot , cutlery was dirty, dirty cups. this cafe was once a very busy lovely place to visit now it’s more like a ghost town. Shame to see this place in such bad shape. Shall not be returning again. :( :( :(

More like cafe crappie. The service has magnificently gone down hill in the past few months. Horrendous service, staff are so rude and try make you feel intimidated. The food was horrendously cold, somehow I ended up with bugs in my orange juice, do they not check what they giving the customers? Another thing I seemed to have noticed is that most of the positive reviews on this place are from the owner or close allies. Would not even give it a 1 star rating, would be more -5.

Me and my friend felt very uncomfortable in there as the servers kept having heated arguments and were giving us looks when we ordered. They ignored customers and kept going in and out of the cafe during their arguments. At some point, they even turned the music lourder so the customers don't hear their arguments in the back. It used to be our favourite place to eat but we won't be coming back. The food was also not great as it used to be.

The atmosphere was not as pleasant as it used to. It was hard to enjoy my food in a place where the staff members were in a continuous argument. When ordering, the staff had a very cold gaze. The food was not that great and my fork and knife were dirty.

I’ve been here before many months ago but was concerned when they said they was changing owners. I visited today and the customer service was absolutely appalling. They had such attitude and I felt uncomfortable and not welcomed at all. When ordering I asked for cream on top of both milkshakes I ordered and she said ok. Then when brought over I asked the young lady where’s the cream and she rolled her eyes and I had to repeat myself. She said you want cream? And I replied yes I asked for cream. Then came back and it was messy. It was also disgusting. I felt like I was just drinking cold milk. Esquires chocolate milkshake just across from there is 100% better but the only reason I came here was for the smashed avocado with poached eggs. I will say even though everything was horrible, the smashed avocado with poached eggs was prepared and cooked to perfection. Im the most fussiest when it comes to poached eggs but they were absolutely perfection! So it’s a shame I won’t visit again. But, at least there was one thing that was ok

Not the best pancakes I've tried unfortunately. The crepes were a bit dry and although palatable the crepe rode on the coattails of the fillings for me which weren't plentiful enough to distract me from the dry crepe. Palatable meal but not what I was hoping to consume in what was a lovely establishment with nice decor.

Unfortunately very slow service, food wasn’t great. Had to ask where our food and coffees where after 20 mins was then the order was incorrect so had to be sent back due to an allergy. All in all not great. Shame as we’ve liked this place but certainly not somewhere we’d return too.

Food was delicious, the cafe is lovely but could have done with a clean. This is meant as constructive criticism as it really could be such a lovely little place. There were dirty tables there during our whole meal. The main reason for knocking off a star was the staff were honestly the most miserable looking bunch I’ve ever seen, not one of them smiled the whole time we were in there or even looked like they could be bothered to be there.

Nice food, all fresh. Nice to see crepes being made, large choice. Small corner site but made the most of what they had. Shame single people take up tables for four and use chairs to put feet up during the wet snowy weather. The atmosphere was nice, quaint and welcoming,but it must be mentioned one of the servers did have a abrupt style about her, could have been a bad day, but please don't take it out on customers. Overall going again with family to try out the salmon and egg crêpe.

The worst service ever. Gave me the wrong order to start with, then got my order wrong and never brought my order back out. When I asked where my food was, I was accused of leaving the shop, even though I had been sat there the entire time waiting. Possibly the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

not the best. came here years ago for crepes with a friend and it was lovely. however came recently feb 2023 and it was a bit naff. waited ages for food 30 mins + (we sat outside so we thought we may have been forgotten about) and then once food arrived, despite being outside, ate straight away and it was lukewarm. beans nearly cold. crepes probably better than their breakfasts. also customer service felt cold like we were inconveniencing them maybe. sad to see a good place go a bit sour

I used to really like coming here, the food and coffee were always really good and employees were polite, however after today, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. As soon as we walked through the door we were stared down by the girls working, despite having walked in an hour before the closing time. The tables and chairs were dirty but we sat down. While listening to our order, the employee looked appalled that we had decided to order some crepes and a couple coffees- weird since she works in a cafe selling crepes. When she brought our food over, she slammed the plates down and genuinely threw the cutlery onto our table. Our crepes were mediocre; we had ordered the “chicken” crepe and all the chicken and bacon in them was burnt black. I also thought it was unprofessional that the employees were yelling at each other behind the tills, the cafe is small and this ruined what could’ve been a nice atmosphere. Really really disappointed, especially by the customer service.

First visit to the cafe creperie. First impressions are not great, no toilet. Very small inside. Asked for water with my order as I was very thirsty, it was the last item to arrive even though it was tap water. Ordered from the menu a strawberry cream crepe as described on the menu with fresh strawberries, Nutella and cream. It was basically strawberry sauce and Nutella. It didn't taste nice at all. My other half had lipstick marks on his coffee cup. Disappointed.

The breakfast was luke warm, toast was forgotten and had to ask 3 times for it and when it came it was like bread and not toast. No colour to the toast whatsoever. No coffee due to machine not working 😕

Have been here once before some time ago. Enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere. Completely different experience this time. It felt like my friend and I were an Inconvenience, not customers. I don't know if something had happened during the day, but things seemed tense. Food wasn't great, not awful. Coffee seemed quite basic. Sadly, we won't be returning.

Lovely small coffee shop and cafe. Had the smashed avocado with bacon and a flat white. All done well and friendly staff. With a bit more attention to details and they could easily get a fifth star.

Egg Benedict, I haven't even been there for a few months and the truth is that the quality of the product leaves much to be desired, the service is lousy, the manager I think is the manager yelling at the waitress something horrible. In the end, after more than 40m of waiting, the much-desired dish arrived with a totally horrible taste.

Me and my partner regularly visit this place and we never disappointed - well maybe when there's no space to sit, because it is so busy 😉 Food is very good, all day breakfast is a treat and extensive menu of creaps- both sweet and savoury is fantastic. I would definitely recommend trying their power breakfast or eggs Benedict, if you going for creap chicken is very good..it's always so difficult to choose what to have there.

Food and drinks were good, Lots of options that are different and tasty. We recommend digestive biscuits on the Apple crumble crêpe instead of rich teas for a better crumbly texture and flavour . The Italian crepe was delicious with fresh mozzarella and presto. The only downside is there's no toilet so you have to nip across to the shopping centre.

I always go there with my family and the food is delicious especially the crepes I suggest everyone to go there.
