Ignore all the information on the website and posters outside and inside the pub - they don’t serve food on Mondays. Only came in for a bank hol pub lunch. Not a very welcoming place inside, dark and grotty feeling.

EDIT: Sunday evening between 8 and 10pm Nice pub. Though, I ordered 4 rum and cokes across the evening but was charged 3 different prices (only 2 of the orders were the same price). Ordered the same drink each time, so not sure why the price was so varied.

Warm welcome, food arrived quickly. Enough space to accommodate a party. Reasonably priced.

Home of the UK’s worst landlords. The man and woman are so so bad at customer service. We came in on a quiet Sunday and the grumpy old man instantly said don’t let your children run around this place. What a great first impression. It’s dusty, dirty and the toilets stink why do they think they are anything special, they are the reason the UK pub industry is on its knees. If they were welcoming they would make more money for the owners.

Great food - service was lovely and personable and chef made sure the kids meal came out on a cool plate (rather than a hot one) which was a lovely touch. Couldn’t fault it.

Had a great time here, friendly staff, ordered food, which was very good, would visit again

Always find a friendly warm welcome here. Have used regularly for several years and will,continue to return. The sunday roast is always excellent as is all the meals prepared by Sam.

It was Christmas Day, so the service was slow because they were so busy; but the food was great. A bit more imagination with cheese and biscuits would have been nice but starters and main courses were delicious.

Christmas day dinner, 3 course meal with a baileys, great value for money, great staff, nothing was too much for them, they were accommodating when it came to a food allergy that I have. Food was promptly brought out, with ample time to eat, and relax with a drink and a chat, did not feel rushed at all, will definitely be back next year. Thanks for all your hard work

We booked a Christmas dinner for 1pm the starter came 1/15 the main 1/50 2 bits turkey 1 non cooked stuffing ball part cooked pig in blanket half burnt Yorkshire pudding not happy pudding came at 2/50 nothing like the toffee pud I ordered we it was sweet apple slices were very disappointed an annoyed so we're a few other's moaning not worth the money we paid

Really good food , great value for money ,fish and chips were amazing ,the chef Sam is very friendly and helpful ,would 100% recommend.

Was taken out for steak supper during the week. Steak was really succulent, dining area was not too busy, red wine went down well. Was surprised last orders were 7.15pm but worked out perfectly for our party. Oh and friendly service as well.

Had a lovely meal with the family. My children can be very fussy but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a great time and even stayed for some drinks after. We will be back again.

Rob and Liz are friendly with a fun local crowd. Atmosphere is always good.

Always a friendly welcome at our local pub. We often go in for games of pool, billiards and occasionally darts. The service is always good with friendly bar staff working with Liz and Rob who are brilliant hosts. Food and beer are good.

This is a friendly pub with chatty folk. No time for food yet a nice refreshing drink in the cool of the inside was enjoyable on a return after some years being out of the area.

Had a pub lunch. Very nice. Unfortunatley only 2 members of staff. Took 2 hours to get our food. The chef was very apologetic, wasn't her fault.

Went there with a few friends. We ordered two half pints, a pint and a j2o, after we had literally just finished the drinks some rude man came over and had a go at us saying there is not alot of drink buying. Funny thing i was about to go to the bar and buy a round for us. His attitude put us off completely so we left and went to a different place (where we enjoyed the rest of our night). Apparently it's not the first time this man has been rude to people about drink buying. Will not be going here again. That man needs some serious social skills lessons.

I really like the place to give a visit on steak thursdays. The food portion is a bit small when compared to other pub with steak thursdays. But I love the spacious ambience and lovely staff service

Dreadful frozen and reheated meal. Veg rubbery and inedible. Beef overcooked and tough. When complained was told that’s the standard to expect for the price.! Don’t bother folks.

We regularly have a Friday Night drink in the cock inn and really fancied Fish and Chips so ordered a Takeout Fish and chips arrived at our table in a well-presented carry home box Good size portions and cooked to perfection

I booked a large party in for an evening meal. We pre-ordered our meals to help them out. I cannot praise them more. Such friendly staff, good traditional pub grub, cheap beer. So nice to go somewhere where the staff are pleased to see you and to not get ripped off. Well Done to all the staff and thank you.

Went here for a meal and the fish and chips were amazing. Better than the local Fish and Chip shop. Portion was too big for me to complete. Well worth the money. The pub had a good and friendly atmosphere. Staff were all helpful and accomodating for my needs.

I have been coming here for the past 6-7 years, I can say that I’m always treated like royalty , team always seem happy to see us. My grandson loves it , landlord and landlady always say hello to him , he loves the attention. Food is good , cooked to preference always , and very reasonable price. Have been visiting for a few years, only to meet up with friends once /twice a week, not because of the pub it's self. landlords specially the woman very very rude and arrogant towards customers, bar staff (girls) the same , Don't like it if you complain about a bad pint, and refusing to replace, bar staff need alot of training with customer care, they are just as bad has the owners, honestly don't know how they come to run a public house, off on holidays more than running a pub . Probably the brewery need to look at how there pub is being run, can't see them making much of a profit, because they seem to bar everyone they don't like

Took my kids for dinner. The place was nearly empty. The kids were good as gold but the woman running the show was horrible and overbearing. Giving me instruction on what my kids can and can't do despite them being incredibly well behaved. Won't be going back. Would not recommend to anyone looking for a family meal out.

Last minute decision to nip out for something to eat. Haven't been to the Cock Inn (known as Cock Hotel by locals) since lockdown. We both had the rump steak with the usual trimmings and, at the price, wasn't expecting bells and whistles....how wrong can...

You will always receive excellent service from the staff @ The Cock. It is family friendly pub (my 3 year old son enjoys the environment) and has a range of clientele. The food is your standard pub classics cooked and served by the head chef...

Came for a drink with a few friends , parked and owner calls me a paki and reported me to police for no reason , even the police said we didn’t do anything wrong.

I went to this place for a drink with my brothers after gym. Was told I looked like I was upto no good and he was going to call the police on me. Called me a few racist names and I told him to call the police but I had to go hope as it getting close to 10 pm covid cerfew. I will tell everyone about this horrible little man and his business
