positives.. parking was very easy on street, good customer services, and access readily available just off the M18 through Maltby. Negatives the food was tasty and the first time I have ever seen a chicken tikka sandwich partially filled with pieces and then the rest made up of french fries!! The other parts of the meal weren't equally as laughable, but again werent the best. Do yourself a favour and go to Dinngton

This was once the best Indian takeaway in the area untouchable by far I can't believe how far down hill it's gone it took a age to be delivered and the Quality of the food was shocking I would give Zafrans a miss even if there was nothing else open in the village SHOCKINGLY BAD.

No podía comer. Evitar a toda costa.

This used to be a really good restaurant especially when Mr Iqbal was in charge. A genuine bloke, pleasant to talk to and you knew he was in charge. Sadly, Mr Iqbal 'retired' from his business and I've no idea what happened but the place has gone downhill. The restaurant interior is still lovely, nice tables and chairs and to be quite honest it still looks like it can serve a good meal, unfortunately this isn't so. The food is ...well it's not good enough. The madras tastes like it's cooked in gravy, the starters are just not of a good enough standard. My mate had a lamb Rogan Josh and the meat was tough.....I could go on... Maybe the owners need to sit down and find out what the problem is, even visit other restaurants and taste dishes elsewhere....but believe me, the chefs are letting this place down. There aren't many decent Asian restaurants in this area but the fact that it's still going, has nice decor then at least it's still got a good customer base. If it doesn't change it will end up closing down.....

This us my local Indian restaurant which me and my family and friends use regularly for dine in and takeaway and in all the years going their we have never had a bad thing to say about it. The customer service is second to none and maz is fab, they strive to cater for all tastes and will cook off menu on request. The quality of the food is of a high standard and plentiful. All in all if you want a friendly quality Indian then head to zafrans :-)

We have eaten here so many times over the years and never had a bad meal. Always good food, good value, lovely staff and Max, the owner, treats you like one of the family. We love this place so much we got them to cater our wedding and they did a fantastic job - our 140 guests loved the food!

Not sure they have ever used any spices in any of the dishes as they were bland offerings with no imagination whatsoever. Couldn't quite work out the fact that there were about 6 tables occupied and every one was eating chips. In an Indian restaurant?? Probably been to about 50 Indian restaurants in past 2 years and this comes in at 49th. Trust me, there is better waiting for you beyond the M18 rounabout! This certainly would not survive in a large town/city. Bars over the window reminded me of my days in Rampton, If it is just chips and curry sauce you want, make it at home or go to The Blue Whale!

We had another visit to Zaffran and once again found the food and service excellent. We were seated promptly and served poppadoms - beautifully crisp and not at all greasy. Our main courses were piping hot and delicious. My lamb so tender I could cut it with a fork! My son had fried chicken which was crisp and not at all greasy. My rice light and fluffy, roti and chapati nice and hot. My first ever roti - I found it a bit heavy and way too big! Overall a great curry and with drinks for the two of us £22. The staff are polite and helpful and don't stand over you while you eat. Previously we've used the Dower House at Bawtry - the food here is just as good, the service much better and the prices are half as much. If I were nit picking I'd change the decor as the style is rather dated but its spotlessly clean which is great. The only thing I culd fault was the man who came in using his phone.... not sure why he had it on loudspeaker!
